Foggy, gen, complicated morality of Daredevil and Punisher

I really want Foggy to seek out and read/watch/hear the supporters of Daredevil and the Punisher, and to think about their arguments. People who say Daredevil inspires them to be better, or braver; people who are grateful for the Punisher because he saved them from a rapist, or because he made sure their son's murderer died. People who argue that taking criminals off the streets is only any good if it's permanent, and people who say they can walk home without fear because of the Devil of Hell's Kitchen is on their side. People being passionate and articulate and making Foggy think.

matt gets hospitalized

After the events of season two its blatantly obvious that matt has a lot of issues, fisk may be behind bars but he's still pissed and finds a way to start ruining matt (like in the comics) I want to see him blackmailing or something and then basically fuck matt up till he's on the verge of breakdown and somehow get him hospitalised or taken away to a mental institution. Its up to Karen, foggy, Claire and maybe frank to help get matt out but also help fix him.

Plz plz pleeeaaaaase can someone fill this?

oh my god I just posted a prompt about Matt having nightmares about Fisk but this is so so much better! I'm so gone for the 'i'm being framed and no one believes me' trope so would love to see some of that before Foggy/someone realises what's going on and tries to help him.

Also Matt is pretty prone to emotional outbursts and definitely has some issues already that would probably be noticed if he was institutionalised.

yeeeeesssssss, I totally thought those little bits of him losing his hearing were setting up for something bigger, and tbh would have loved if it had (though god knows this season was so full on there probably wouldn't have been time for that). He was so panicked when it happened and I'd love to see that explored more :}

Matt, Nightmares about Fisk

I thought it was interesting how affected Matt was by Fisk during that meeting in 2x10, because he's definitely faced scarier people/people who've hurt him more with no fear.

So that makes me think that it was probably split between the fact of him threatening people in Matt's life, and the fact that he couldn't fight back. So now I want something that deals with Matt having nightmares (or just general anxiety) relating to Fisk that he doesn't know how to deal with.

Clearly this wasn't enough for me. Go give me 5 times Matt tried to patch things up with Foggy and it didn't work out + 1 time he didn't do anything and it worked.

Coming in through the fire escape, Matt could hear a distant tapping on the door. His heart did a couple quick thumps before he realized that it was the neighbor's door being knocked on, not his. He didn't get visitors anymore.

Matt trudged into his apartment, dropped his cowl on the living room floor, and sank down onto the couch with a sigh. Things had been quiet lately. Too quiet, really. Matt knew it was wrong, but he almost preferred it when something major was happening because it meant that he had something to do. It gave him purpose.

Now he just had too much time to think.

No sooner had those thoughts floated through his brain, than his stomach turned sour and a weight settled on his chest. What kind of a person was he that longed for danger just so he could be spared some of his loneliness? Danger meant people got hurt - good people.

Maybe Foggy had been right. Maybe he really did go around creating danger just so he could protect people from it. Foggy had been right about a lot of things.

Of course, Foggy had always been the better person. Patient, kind, helping people without hurting, without causing damage.

And Matt - God help him - Matt needed Foggy. He knew that now. He'd thought he could do this alone. He'd thought that it was better for everyone involved if he stepped out of their lives - and it probably was.

But Matt just wasn't sure he could go on like this.

Some nights when it was really bad, Matt would go to their old office and sit in Foggy's space in the dark, turning his friend's baseball around in his hands and pretending that they were in the middle of a discussion and Foggy had just stepped out for a second to use the restroom or something.

He tried not to do that too often.

But their six-month lease was almost up, so Foggy would be stopping by to get his baseball, his bat, and a few of the other personal items he hadn't taken with him right away.

That was his opportunity, Matt decided.

The very next morning Matt made his way down to the old office for the last time. Stepping into the space again reminded him of the photographs his dad had had in an old family album. Stained and yellow, washed out of color, it was like the people in the photos had belonged to a whole different world.

That was the office now. A hint of Karen's perfume, Foggy's aftershave... it was all still there, but faded and washed out, now covered with a layer of dust. It was like the life that had existed in this space before was a thing from the ancient past, dusty and crumbling.

Matt took a shaky breath and made his way to Karen's desk. He tore off a corner of the desk calendar, and scribbled a short note with a pen he found nearby.

"Keep in touch. Miss you, buddy."

He tucked the note into the same box that contained Foggy's sports gear. When Foggy got the notification that the lease was up, he'd come get his stuff.

And he'd see the note.

And he'd decide for himself whether or not Matt was worth the trouble.

Matt could at least give him that.

Foggy is Jessica's new contact

Hogarth and Jessica's relationship has naturally become even more strained after JJ S1. So what to do with the troublesome Ms Jones who is on the border of being more of a liability than an asset?

Why, you assign the new guy to be her primary contact at the firm. Thus Foggy steps out of Matt's crazy world only to fall right into Jessica's. At least he knows some first aid this time around.



Bonus if Jessica is pretty much fed up with lawyers and doesn't really believe Foggy is a good guy.

Double bonus if Foggy tries to bond with her by going out for drinks. (because he no longer has friends.) Despite Jessica's first impression of Foggy, she never turns down a drink.

Triple bonus if shit goes down while Foggy is with Jessica.

The valiant hero in question could be the Punisher, Daredevil, or maybe a less angsty option, like one (or more) of the Avengers. A romance between the hero and Karen is encouraged, but optional.

Matts reaction to elektra in episode 4 *SPOILERS FOR S02E04*

Hi, first time really posting anything so please forgive me if i did anything wrong.

in episode 4 of season 2 matt finds elektra in his appartment, now what struck me as really odd was matts reaction to her, i mean he sometimes shows surprise when someone manages to sneak up on him but this. this was on a whole other level, this reaction actually reminded me of how a really close friend of mine actually reacted to his abusive ex girlfriend when she suddenly showed up at his door.

my ''prompt'' if you can really call it that, is. what if foggy actually visits matt and elektra is there, does he notice matts strange reaction? does he confront him about it? its up to you!(although id love to see how youd think foggy would handle such a situation)
also how nervous he got about her giving his firm money AND his comment about how their idea of fun was very very different.
(Yes i know this is NOTHING like the comic canon but hey, thats why its called fanfiction right? so what im requesting is probably seen as an AU)

Foggy's newfound confidence in his own skill as a lawyer manifests itself in him kicking ass and taking names at HCB&N and quickly becoming known as a lawyer you don't want to fuck with.

Could be Jeri & Foggy friendship, or Foggy/Marci where she gets off on sleeping with a partner (since if she works there technically he's her boss now?) and how competent he is.

I just want super competent Foggy continuing to make words his superpower.

Finding out that Stick taught Elektra made me wonder who else he taught and thought it was a good way to do a crossover. Examples could be:

Supernatural Crossover- one time when John is away Stick comes across Sam and Dean and whenever there Dad is away would train them.

Harry Potter- Stick finds Harry on the doorstep in Private Drive and takes Harry.

Or you could have a story where the child in question in already grown and the training with Stick is a secret from their childhood. The character you choose doesn't have to be good at fighting in their canon but could be in this for example you could have Wally West from The Flash tv show being targeted for his want for a Father figure and his recovering addict Mom not always being the most stable of figures (and it amusing to think of Joe's reaction once they find out).

Elektra + Frank / Matt

Foggy and Karen are mad at Matt. They work out their anger by being mean to Matt, who...likes it a lot. Bonus for Matt being hurt and heartbroken but still incredibly hard and turned on. Double extra forever bonus if he cries and one/both of them make fun of him for it.

I don't really want a happy fluffy resolution - I'd rather Foggy and Karen are still very angry at Matt and don't treat him very well/give him aftercare. Maybe he gets some aftercare from Frank!

So Karen is the college student with a coffee addiction and a shady past majoring in journalism. Frank is the war vet turned barista working at the coffee shop near her college and she's intrigued by him.

+ Frank's dog is a service dog that hangs around the coffee shop.
+ Matt and Foggy are Karen's best friends who keep telling her Frank is trouble.
+ Elektra works at the coffee shop with Frank just because.

Fisk puts a hit out on Foggy. Maybe. Or maybe he’s just having Foggy watched. It’s hard to prove either way. Matt watches/stalks Foggy from the shadows to protect him, making sure not to approach Foggy directly. Every day listening to Foggy get on with his life without Matt is like a punch to the gut, hurting more than he thought it would.


+10 if Matt tries to warn Foggy about the possible threat ‘anonymously.’

+100 if eventually Matt has to physically step in where Foggy can see him to take down a threat.

I just binged-watched season 2 in one sitting and I think I'm in love with this ship, I just want more of that delicious emotional pain.
