RPF is allowed. Crossovers, characters from the extended Marvel Universe and comics canon are allowed, but must relate to the 2015 TV show in some way.

Prompts focusing on characters from Jessica Jones should go on the Jessica Jones Prompt Post, but crossovers with Daredevil can go on either post.

Prompts that are exclusively about the comics should go on the Comics Prompt Post.

So much left undone! Matt and Foggy refusing to speak like adults and it was like when one was finally in place to have a real discussion, the other was having some sort of emotional crisis.

I liked the idea of Matt and Foggy's friendship falling apart because they could no longer read other like they used to. For most of their friendship they were on the same page and therefore just couldn't handle it when their thoughts didn't align. Now they can't read each other at all, mixed signals, like they constantly talk to each other in different languages. Neither of them hear what the other is saying.

Frank definitely threw out Jaime's number. His whole story to Karen about his wife bringing the pain gave me the idea, that for Frank, all is fair in love and war. So to him, throwing that card out doesn't count as a lie or a trick. My idea for Foggy was that Foggy usually does the pursuing in romantic relationships so it never occurs to him that Frank would do something like that because nobody ever tries to get Foggy.

Ah, they're all so messed up and I love them for it.

The vague idea I have for a sequel, if it did head in the Frank/Foggy/Matt direction would have to involve screwing Karen over monumentally. Like I know how it would happen and I kinda don't want to do it. Matt would have to torpedo his relationship with her to a catastrophic degree.

The sequel would be darker in tone and I'm not sure I feel up to writing that.

This is the Frank/Foggy fic I've been longing for ever since the 2nd season of DD came out! Ugh, thank you for the beautiful angst!

If you don't mind me throwing my 2 cents in, the way you wrote Frank and Foggy's relationship here, I can't see there being any room for Matt as a 3rd 'addition' unless some plus years have passed and he's gotten over being emotionally constipated by Frank's place in Foggy's life. I think Matt would need to get passed some serious emotional hurdles and accept a whole lotta truths if he genuinely wants to reconnect with Foggy and be Avocado!Bros again, first and foremost.

I don't mind at all! Pretty much after I wrote that comment about possible threesome, the more I thought about it, the less I liked it. It would just involve all three of them making giant steps backwards, undoing everything Frank and Foggy managed to build.

Do I think Frank and Foggy as is, as super healthy? No. I think they love each other, I think they've done the best they could with the hand life dealt them. Matt becoming a third would throw everything into turmoil. It would definitely be too much too soon, I'd basically have to write something that would make me sad if I went the Frank/Foggy/Matt route! Everything would get even more dysfunctional.

I've even been considering rewriting the ending to this to make the break with Matt more complete. I actually feel like I wavered a bit too much in the end.
