Rules:
  • General
    1. YKINMKATO. Play nice. If you don't like something, scroll on.

    2. All comments must be anon. If you would like to be politely banned to avoid anon-failing, leave a logged-in comment on the mod post or pm the mod account.

    3. IP Logging is currently on. Only the mod can see them, and the mod will only be paying attention to them when threads turn wanky and she wants to identify comments made by the same person.

    4. Subject lines should only be changed if you're posting a prompt or a fill (indicators like OP or Author!Anon should go in the body of the comment).

    5. RPF is allowed. Crossovers, characters from the extended Marvel Universe (excluding characters from Jessica Jones) and comics canon are allowed, but must relate to the 2015 TV show in some way.

    6. Prompts involving characters from Jessica Jones (including crossovers with Daredevil characters or the extended MCU) must go on the Jessica Jones Prompt Post.

    7. Prompts that are exclusively about the comics should go on the Comics Prompt Post.

    8. Discussion not related to the prompt should be moved to the discussion/off-topic post.

    9. Drop a comment on the mod post if you have any questions or problems.

  • Prompts
    1. All types of prompts are welcome.

    2. Use the subject line for the main idea of your prompt (pairing or characters, keywords, kink).

    3. Warnings are nice, but not mandatory. Get DW Blocker if there's anything you really don't want to see.

    4. Reposted prompts are allowed once one round has passed - i.e., prompts from post #2 cannot be reposted until post #4. Please include a link to where it has been previously posted.

  • Fills
    1. Put [FILL] or something similar in the subject line when posting a fill.

    2. Announce your fill on either the Completed Fills Post or the WIP Post.

    3. Long fills can either be posted over multiple comments, or posted on AO3 and linked back here.

    4. Multiple fills are always okay.

    5. Fills can be anything! Fic, art and vids are all welcome.

    6. If it wasn't written specifically for the prompt, it doesn't count as a fill. You are welcome to provide a link to already existing fic that does fit the prompt, in case the prompter hasn't seen it, but it doesn't count as a fill.

Matt's never had his appendix taken out

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 08:37 am (UTC)(link)
(Gen, physical h/c, delicious whump; post-reveal)
So, because I'm trash (and because there seems to be a surprising lack of this sort of fic. in this fandom), I'd really love to see a fic. where Matt develops a mysterious pain in his right side that he, at first, thinks is from an injury he sustained; seeing as there's no obvious wound (and it fades for a while, anyway), he doesn't bother Claire with it. But it comes back, worse than before, and it proceeds to interfere a bit with his Daredevil-ing and day job. Karen and Foggy notice and, of course, they're confused and worried. Naturally, Matt does his best to hide it until he can figure out exactly what it is and then deal with it accordingly.

Or something like that... The prompt was originally a little longer and more detailed, but I didn't want to dictate the whole story for ya. Unless you want me to. If you do, I'll elaborate it in the thread.

+Bonus points for Karen being a badass
++Further bonus points for impromptu appendectomy performed by Claire (with not much in the way of painkillers because reasons)
+++ALL the points for Matt being brought to his knees from the pain and crying(in front of people, or not; either will put a smile on my face)

Gen - Time Travel Fix-It

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 08:49 am (UTC)(link)
The apocalypse has happened - aliens, zombies, natural disasters, plague, all four, something else - whatever. Matt is dead or missing, but Foggy & Karen have stuck together and survived, when they stumble on a bunker.

It's empty, but has an almost-finished time travel device, created by Stark/Richards/other smart person, and there are notes on how to finish it up. The two of them get it working, but it only has enough power to send one person back. (Up to filler which of the two goes back.)

He or she gets in, sets the date to just before the apocalypse, and goes for it. But it ends up a bit more powerful than expected, and instead he or she ends up back at the beginning of season 1. Now they can save Elena & Ben, but they also have to navigate fixing the apocalypse somehow - and possibly deal with their friends thinking they've gone crazy.

I know this would probably be a huge fic if actually fully written, but I'd just love to see any scene(s) from it. Especially interested in when they first get back & realize the date (and that everything is awesome and happy and great right now, and everyone is alive! Oh, but there is so much to do), Foggy & Karen trying to decide which of them goes back, trying to convince Matt & the other one that what happened to them is real (or choosing to hide it and the difficulties thereof, especially with a human lie detector), and figuring out a way to handle Fisk.

Bonus option - maybe the time travel device actually was used before, and things are already changing. Maybe it was even Matt, and he's acting weird this time around, too, or Fisk or Vanessa, and they have to deal with an enemy that also knows the future.

(If Karen is the one sent back, please let her have learned that Matt is Daredevil during the apocalypse.)

Mini Fill - Not a Saint, Not a Sacrificial Lamb

(Anonymous) 2015-12-03 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
They were lucky that the instructions were kept with the machine.

If they hadn't been, they would not even be having this argument right now, because Hank Pym was dead - of old age, shockingly enough, when everyone else around them was dying left and right from exposure to the elements, or conflicts with other survivors, or starvation. Pym died toward the start of the Burning, but he had already been working on the machine prior to that.

Thank goodness for scientists and their endless curiosity.

Regardless - the argument:

"He's known me longer," Foggy insists. "It would be weirder if I came back and started acting different."

"But you know him better than anyone, too. And we don't even know if this thing will erase our younger selves when it sends us back. You might not be able to interact with him at all. Not as yourself, anyway."

Foggy raises his eyebrows. "And how else would I interact with him? With those super senses of his, there's no way he wouldn't know who I am if we met face to face, and there's no reason he would trust me if I tried to contact him over the phone or through the internet." Shaking his head, he tells her, "It has to be you." Even though he misses Matt desperately. Even though all he wants is to see him again. (Warning people about the Burning sounds great, and is arguably far more important, but Foggy isn't Matt. He has no world-saving complex. If he goes - if he does this - he will be doing it for him, and not for anyone else. And that's the number one reason on his list that he shouldn't be the one to go, and the number one reason he doesn't think he can admit to Karen.)

"You're wrong about this, Foggy, and if we don't get this right-"

"Then the world will probably fall apart all over again, and you can make me do it the next time."

She winces. This is something they've worried about. The very real possibility that this has been done before, and theirs is the second, or third, or fourth, or nth timeline. But they can't think about it too much, or they will go crazy, and nothing will get done. They at least know that they have to try. "Don't joke about that," she tells him quietly. Lately, she is never anything but quiet. Yet another sign among many that she is slipping away. "It's not funny."

It kind of is, though, in a horrifying way.

But that's not what she needs to hear. "Yeah. Sorry."

"It's fine."

It's not fine.

He closes his eyes and then sighs. "You really think I should be the one to go?"

"I really do."

Opening his eyes, he nods, because he is tired, and she is tired, and she deserves to win something, even if it is just an argument with Foggy. They've both lost too much, lately.

He'll just have to hope that seeing everything the way it was will remind him that there are more pressing concerns than spending every waking minute with Matt, because otherwise, this will all have been pointless.

"All right, yeah. I'll do it."

She lets out a soft huff of relief, and Foggy knows that he has made the right decision, at least for Karen, if not for anyone or anything else. "Good. Than you, Foggy."

There is a part of him that wants to say 'Don't thank me yet,' but they're still not talking about the possibility of multiple timelines, so he refrains, settling instead for reaching for her hand and squeezing it softly. The fine bones beneath his own feel like marching orders.

He might fail. There is a depressingly real chance of that. But he will try very hard not to.

Gen or Matt/Foggy- Movie star AU

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 08:49 am (UTC)(link)
Franklin Nelson is an A-list movie actor with a string of highly successful blockbusters under his belt, taking advantage of filming a movie in New York to catch up with his family and old friends at home.

Matt doesn't go to the movies much. Somehow between lawyering and beating up bad guys in horns, he runs into a man called Foggy who has a vaguely familiar voice and an overwhelmingly sunny personality and doesn't treat him like he's made of glass.

Foggy in turn loves how normally Matt treats him. He doesn't even realise Matt has no idea who he is. Well, he doesn't at first.

Details up to filler. Though anon prefers Foggy to be still as much his awesome, caring self as you feel the career allows. Also happy with bits of angst here and there but I'm a sucker for fluff and happy endings.

Re: Gen or Matt/Foggy- Movie star AU

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 12:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh my gosh, so cute! They would be like George and Amal Clooney, where everybody teases the movie star for being the trophy husband. :)

Maybe Matt meets Foggy because he's helping out one of his family members on a case and they mention that their son/brother/cousin is visiting town for work, so he might be hanging around. And then Matt goes to their house next time and finds three extra heartbeats. He shakes the hand of the first one, assuming that's Foggy, but actually, it's one of his bodyguards. Then, when Foggy comes out and introduces himself, Matt doesn't act any more impressed than he was with the bodyguard.

gen or foggy/matt au nightswimming

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 09:21 am (UTC)(link)
in the 2003 daredevil movie matt murdock hangs out in a sensory deprivation tank that looks like a weird steel coffin to ease his senses. say a sensory deprivation tank is a little harder to come by in netflix daredevil, i don't think it'd be affordable or practical, so matt makes a habit of swinging by the indoor public pool that's down the block. he's paid a staffer to let him swim after-hours (less like swimming and more like floating with his ears submerged)

so what i'm looking for is an au where foggy likes to sneak into the pool after-hours and meets matt, that's how they get to be friends.

details are are up to potential filler can be gen, can be foggy/matt i don't mind!!

[minifill] Re: gen or foggy/matt au nightswimming

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm so sorry I hope this is ok! I just got super into this idea and wanted to come up w/something quick.

A contented sigh leaves his lips. Matt closes his eyes and moves his arms as if he's making a snow angel, relishing the way his movement creates ripples over the water surface.

An owl hoots a distance away and Matt giggles, because his ears are partially submerged under the water so he can't pinpoint the exact location of the owl. Matt usually likes to stay vigilant, because "a warrior is always aware of his surroundings at all times, hyper-vigilance is key to subduing our opponents." Saying that Stick's lessons were engraved in his mind would be kind of an understatement.

But Stick's not here, and Matt is exhausted from having to focus, focus, focus all the time. Focusing on blocking out white noise that always seemed more jarring than 'white' (he hated how the word exuded such deceptive innocence), focusing on pinpointing the exact location of an object or person, focusing on keeping his shit together in this chaotic excuse of a world.

No. If Stick's departure taught him anything, it was that no one, save for himself, was going to give a crap about a blind kid.

Which is where the pool came in. It's also where he lets his thoughts about his dad, whom he loved and missed dearly, run free, since he was the one who figured out that submerging himself in water would grant Matt some respite from all the overwhelming stimuli. But a bathtub was hard to come by in an orphanage and a tiny college dorm, so the pool was the next best idea.

Matt would sneak in and use the pool occasionally when back he was in college, but he didn't make a habit out of it because he knew he wasn't the only student with that idea. What he needed was solitude, not a midnight pool party.

The public pool down the block was the primary reason behind his choice of apartment. He's worked out an arrangement (of the monetary kind) with the staffer to let him use the pool after-hours, whenever he's too tired to focus anymore.

Matt's lost count of the time spent floating in the pool, and it's a magical feeling. To feel untethered from the world, from his senses, to feel so present, but also like he might not even exist.

It's only when he lifts his head and is about to fully submerge himself underwater that he hears it. A heartbeat just beyond the doors, beating slightly fast. Damn it. Matt knows he won't be able to make it out of the pool in time without being noticed, so he holds his breath and dives under. Because hey, there's nothing like a good scare to deter a repeat sneak-in, right?

Matt waits until the person- no wait, it's a guy- wades into the pool and does a quick dip below the surface, before he jumps up right in front of him and makes a huge splash.

He has to bite his lip from laughing at the yelp that comes from the visitor, who then loses his balance and goes underwater for a quick second.

"Ohmygod! W-wha- I thought no one was going to be here! " the guy sputters.

Matt smirks. "You thought wrong."

"Yeah, I can see that now. Sorry. I was just looking for a way to unwind." Funny, most people would've left by now, but he's still here. "It's been a hectic week. Swamped in depositions."

Matt blinks. "You're a lawyer?"

"Why, do you need one?" The reply is accompanied with a small movement in the air around his face, something Matt has come to recognize as a smile or a grin. "I'm Foggy, by the way," Foggy extends his hand.

"Matt," he says. "And fellow lawyer," he grins and cocks his head slightly. He knows he should have his guard up, but there's something about that Foggy that makes him feel so at ease, that it's OK to open up to a complete stranger.

Foggy lets out a soft sigh and leans back, kicking his legs up so that he ends up floating on the surface. "I've missed this. You know, I used to sneak into the pool late at night when I was at law school. That feeling of swimming in the dark, knowing that you could've been caught at any second was terrifyingly invigorating. "

Matt chuckles. "Yeah, I can relate. I did that once or twice during law school too."

"Where'd you study at?"

"Columbia."

Foggy lifts his head and stares at Matt. "Me too!" The conversation segues to reminiscing about professors and exams and their love/hate relationship with coffee.

Two weeks pass before Foggy meets Matt at the pool again. Their chance encounters soon become more than just that, and Matt is surprised to find that he actually looks forward to their now bi-weekly swims. They talk about everything and nothing, (well, Foggy does, mostly, since Matt likes listening to the cadence and brightness in his voice) and Matt laughs at all of Foggy's jokes.

Sometimes Matt can hear how tired Foggy is, so he starts inviting Foggy over to crash at his place. This leads to an unofficial roommate situation of sorts, which Foggy starts to feel bad about, but not bad enough to refuse a night on Matt couch when he's absolutely exhausted. Matt is secretly enjoying this a little too much, he realizes one day over breakfast with Foggy. He's never had a roommate, not since St. Agnes, but cramming in a room with 9 other boys was something else entirely.

It's over another breakfast that an idea pops into Matt's head. Starting his own practice had always been a pipe dream, but now that pipe dream didn't seem so far off anymore, not since Foggy started to voice his disgruntled sentiments about working at Landman and Zack so often that "soul-sucking" was now his second-most used word (Matt couldn't help noticing things like that). So, putting two and two together...

"Hey Foggy, what do you think about starting our own law firm?"

Foggy almost chokes on his cereal, but a small smile is starting to creep onto his face. "Go on, I'm listening," he prompts.

"Three words," Matt says, holding out three fingers. "Nelson and Murdock."

"I could roll with that," Foggy says, and beams so wide that Matt can't help but follow suit.

Matt/Any + Any: Non-con, voyeurism

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 12:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Warning for non-con and general unhappiness.

This would probably make most sense to happen while Matt's in college, but I don't have any preferences for timeline. Matt is being raped by someone he brought home from a bar/party. He's either too drunk or too drugged to fight back effectively, but not so affected that he's unconscious. Then, he hears someone he knows and trusts--Foggy, Elektra, Karen, Frank, whoever--outside the door looking for him. Matt plays up his protests, calls for help, and generally makes it clear that he is not consenting to what is happening. But the person doesn't help: they just stand there outside the door, listening and maybe watching, never knowing that Matt can hear them getting off on what's happening. Eventually, as things start to wind down, they leave, and come back when Matt is alone to offer him their help. Matt is torn between rejecting their help and their friendship because of their betrayal and just letting them play their charade and help, because in that moment he needs nothing more than a friend.

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 12:40 pm (UTC)(link)
i've had this written in my phone for like three months and i honestly can't write a thing lately, so if someone else can do something with it i'd be thrilled. i'm thinking a five times situation, with times matt tells foggy what he can hear/sense + how foggy reacts. can be little things or big things, this post reveal, matt and foggy navigating their way through their new relationship.

"he’s not sure what he’s supposed to tell foggy and what he’s not. is it worse that he can hear things and doesn’t mention them? or that he hears things foggy doesn’t want him to hear and mentions them? what matt knows is a tightrope they're both walking but at this point matt thinks they might be falling"

(you don't have to include the above in the fill, it's just what inspired the prompt!!)

Matt/Foggy - Established relationship

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 01:01 pm (UTC)(link)
How do the events of the series change if Matt and Foggy have been together since their law school days. So, the first time Matt sneaks out to beat up a child molester? Foggy knows, because he wakes up to the sound of Matt coming back in covered in blood. Foggy knows everything from the start, and even if he isn't cool with it, he's willing to stay and offer what help he can. I realise there have been previous fics where this has happened, but I'd be kind of interested in seeing something focusing on this bit of the scenario in particular.

Young!Matt, noncon, trauma as 'motivation'

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 01:25 pm (UTC)(link)
So in the show, Foggy says something about how Matt must've kept himself ready to fight long before he beat up that pedophile guy. This is somewhat inspired by that.

In undergrad (or the final year of highschool, as long as Matt is 18+), years after Stick left and he stopped regularly training to fight, Matt is raped by an OMC. Afterwards, he's consumed by guilt/shame/just some horrible feeling that he should've been able to fight his rapist off and it's somehow his fault that it happened because he didn't defend himself.

It's after that, that he decides to take up fighting again. Every time he has another flashback, or wakes up from another nightmare, or runs into a stranger who reminds him even a little about what happened... he goes to the gym, and he pushes himself just that much harder.

Please gimme something using that?

(Anonymous) 2015-12-29 12:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll see what I can do when I'm less busy with my own stuff. it's probably going to be cross fandom, on account of the fact that I mix everything up in my head, but Matt wouldn't hesitate and how Matt in his head, like he has nothing besides a tiny firm that could easily be eaten up by a corporate giant whereas they have a family or a future.

Foggy Defends His Reputation, M/F

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 03:11 pm (UTC)(link)
The thing is, Foggy has a reputation for being a very good kisser. But when he and Matt are forced to share an awkward, distracted smooch for Reasons, it's not the best kiss ever. It isn't horrible particularly given the circumstances, but no one's world was rocked, you know?

(supposedly. if matt got fluttery over an awkward, half-there kiss from his best friend, well, it's not like he isn't used to ignoring any non-platonic feelings by now.)

But Matt does feel free to rib Foggy a little about it. That was the famous Nelson charm? He doesn't know if he's impressed. He might have to ask for a refund.

Foggy gets a little indignant. Foggy may feel the need to prove himself. And honestly Matt was kidding, he hadn't meant anything by it, only now Foggy is slowly, carefully taking off Matt's glasses and cupping his jaw and oh God is he really going to -

Matt is in so, so much trouble.

Matt and Foggy - taking self-defence classes

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 03:45 pm (UTC)(link)
During their college years, after Matt and Foggy get attacked on their way home to campus (and saved by some athletes/Marvel cameos of your choice Foggy is friendly with, before Matt can decide whether he should reveal his powers or get beaten up, or worse) Foggy decides they should at least both learn how to throw a punch and participate in a self-defence class.

And he isn’t taking no for an answer because dude, you’re out all night sometimes alone, you practice during such weird hours at your gym, and yeah, I believe you when you say you know how to punch, but you really should learn how to fight something else other than a sandbag. Like, with grappling, right? I know blind people can do grappling, no excuses. And you should learn how to fall, as well. And how to walk straight, so you don’t even get attacked in the first place. No buts, buddy, you’re going, I already emailed the instructor, it’s okay –

aaaaaaand, yeah. Matt’s all but bundled off to a self-defence class where he’s pretty sure everyone is staring at the buff (and blind) guy, wondering what the hell he is doing here. (So is Matt, actually.)

Scenarios I’d love would be if the instructor is terrible (either really enthusiastic, but ineffectual, or a real asshole like Stick, trying to put Foggy down, or just maybe showing them techniques that are far too advanced for them, either on purpose or because they’re clueless) and Matt has to correct Foggy’s movements before he hurts himself, and/or picks a fight with the instructor, or gets criticised for things he does the instructor deems ‘wrong’ – either way, Matt severely under-challenged, frustrated and/or at the end of his tether, please. Can be Matt/Foggy or gen, I’m fine with both.

Re: Matt and Foggy - taking self-defence classes

(Anonymous) 2015-11-09 01:49 pm (UTC)(link)
YES. Matt trying very, very hard to pretend to be a blind defenseless guy and definitely not a BAMF demonic ninja, when the well-meaning instructor's an incompetent idiot. Poor Matt.

Foggy & Elena Cardenas Friendship

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 05:42 pm (UTC)(link)
So honestly, there just needs to be more fics on AO3 that use the relationship tag "Franklin "Foggy" Nelson & Elena Cardenas". So just... anything will do here.

Ideas include:

  • Foggy giving a eulogy at Elena's funeral, which could either be only attended by a few people and be sad or could shockingly be attended by too many people to fit into the church and be less sad, depending on the author's headcanon of Elena and her life.

  • A missing scene taking place during canon where Foggy continues to fix Elena's apartment and she is sweet to him.

  • A member of Elena's family turning up (maybe who she was estranged from) and that person thanking Nelson and Murdock for their work and support.

  • A moment between Foggy and Bess Mahoney where they remember Elena and Bess shares stories about her.

  • Matt realizing that Foggy has been visiting Elena's grave occasionally long after everything with Fisk and the two of them talking through Foggy's own guilt over what happened to her.

Preferably, a fill for this might also fill in more of Elena's backstory since we know so little about her, but she seems like a tough, observant lady who probably led a very interesting life.

Mini Fill: Foggy & Elena Cardenas Friendship

(Anonymous) 2015-12-24 12:33 pm (UTC)(link)
'Mrs Cardenas?' Foggy calls. 'It's Foggy Nelson. I've come to fix your heating? My hands are full so I can't knock-'

Elena pulls the door open, her eyes wide in delight. Foggy smiles over his tool box and box of Matt baked cookies. Matt baked cookies are close to the best and not just because of the ingredients he uses. She takes the top box without prompt.

'Gracias, Señor Foggy,' she says and her smile fades when she opens the box. She says something in Spanish that Foggy doesn't catch but he gets the gist. She doesn't want charity.

Luckily, Foggy knows what to say. 'They're from Matt. He cooked way too many to impress some girl and he's been dumping the spares and rejects on me and Karen. You'll be doing me a favour by taking them.'

Elena takes a moment to process this but then nods and raises an eyebrow at Foggy's tool box. 'You here to fix...?'

'Your heating. And any other little thing I find in need of repair. Winter is coming Mrs Cardenas and it's going to be brutal.' She laughs though Foggy thinks it might be more at his tone than his words and leads him to her heating.

It takes him nearly two hours to fix it, hampered by Elena's continued insistence for him to have a drink - coffee, tea, hot chocolate, something very very alcoholic - or something to eat.

'Oh man, I wish I could speak Spanish right now to really express my gratitude and my real need to not eat a whole lot,' he says after the fifth offer of food. Elena smirks - actually smirks! - and two minutes later returns with a Spanish-English dictionary. It looks brand new but there's a man's name in the front of it.

Or a boy's name, judging by the fact he shares Elena's last name. 'Thank you.' Elena just raises an eyebrow at him until Foggy's eyes widen. 'Oh, gracias.' She laughs and nods, causing Foggy to smile in return.

'I got it! Just like, a million more words to go and I'll speak Spanish.' That causes her to laugh even more.

'I teach you,' she says. 'Surprise Señor Matt and Señorita Karen.'

'Our little secret,' Foggy says and offers her his hand.

They shake on it. This will be brilliant.

One of Foggy's parents comes to stay and Foggy is not happy about it.

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 05:58 pm (UTC)(link)
So there's been a lot of fics about Foggy loving his parents and them taking Matt on as a surrogate son. Can I suggest another take on that trope?

What if something happens and they decide to split up (maybe his dad had an affair or his mom has empty nest syndrome and a mid-life crisis or something) and one of them comes to stay with Foggy. And gets extremely over-involved in his life. I'm talking Everybody Loves Raymond levels of being judgmental about the way Foggy lives, being full of helpful yet condescending advice, exhibiting a lack of boundaries or constantly embarrassing him with stories or by treating him like a child in front of people.

Imagine Foggy being a) really overwhelmed and smothered with having them around but not wanting to express that because he feels like he'd be a terrible person to do that knowing Matt grew up without parents and because he loves them; and b) scared that they will find out about Daredevil and get hurt.

To add to that, what if they treat Matt like their own child (better than Foggy even) and so Matt loves having them around and encourages them to stay, thus driving Foggy even crazier.

TL;DR - Foggy's parents are wonderful, but when one of them comes to stay Foggy doesn't really know how to tell them (or Matt) that they're driving him crazy.

Mini Fill: One of Foggy's parents comes to stay and Foggy is not happy about it.

Matt pauses as he enters his apartment, the heart beat of the man sitting on his sofa hammering in his ears. Then he sniffs and Foggy's distinct scent comes to his nose. Which only raises more questions.

'You don't have to wait up for me,' Matt says and Foggy jumps, his heartbeat skyrocketing. 'I did say I would call if I was injured.' Foggy shrugs but says nothing, taking a long sip of the bottle of Matt's beer he has. 'Besides, I didn't expect you to come over. Isn't your Mom stayin-'

Foggy groans at the mention of his mother and Matt pauses on the bottom step. 'Foggy?' When he doesn't reply Matt adds, 'Is everything alright?'

'Did you know I'm fat Matt?' Frowning at the non-sequitur, Matt pulls off his cowl and throws it in the still open cupboard.

Then he takes a seat beside Foggy, not caring he's still in his suit. 'Not that I'm aware of?' He pokes at Foggy's stomach. 'Feels pretty solid to me.'

But Foggy just sighs, instead of batting his hand away as usual. 'Yeah, but you're supposed to say that. Not like you can really tell.' Matt raises an eyebrow and Foggy waves. 'World on fire thingy aside. It's not like you can see me. And I'm not fat! Not really. I just you know, can't cook for myself. Can't manage my own home. It's a miracle I've lived this long on my own.'

Matt frowns. 'Is this... Is this about your Mom? Did she say all that?' It's hard trying to pair the idea of the sweet, caring Anna with the words Foggy is saying.

'I wish she had! That would make my life easier! I could tell her to piss off and leave me alone because it's my life and not hers. But...' Foggy sighs. 'And you're getting mad. I knew I should have kept this to myse-'

'No,' Matt snaps, stopping Foggy from getting up. 'Tell me. You're upset and drinking my beer. You hate my beer. What's wrong?'

'Everything! And... and nothing.' Foggy waves a hand around then drops it to his lap. 'Mom is just... she's being a absolute delight and it's a nightmare.'

Matt cocks his head in confusion. 'How so?'

Finally Foggy lets out what's on his mind. 'She's cooking very single meal and when I offer tells me that 'oh it's okay, I'm on a diet and well, dear it's better if I cook'. Or 'Oh no, I couldn't possibly make you cook. You work so long, and it's clear you barely have time usually to do anything'.' He sighs. 'Things like that, all day every day. I got a text the other night asking where I was. At 9pm! She was 'worried' apparently.'

Foggy buries his head in his hands and Matt pats at his back awkwardly, unsure of what to say. 'How long is she staying with you?'

'Until she and Dad get it back together again.'

'Ah,' Matt says, hearing the 'if' in Foggy's words. 'You're always welcome here, you know. I'll run interference.' Foggy's phone takes this moment to ding and Foggy sighs.

'That'll be her, worrying.'

'Anytime,' Matt repeats and wishes he could do more.

Matt/Foggy - Rosalind disapproves of Matt

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Matt and Rosalind have hated each other pretty much from the moment he met. From Rosalind's perspective, having Matt around is definitely holding Foggy back - he left Landman and Zack because of Matt, is being unnecessarily picky about clients because of Matt, is holding himself back from being as successful as Rosalind feels he could be because of Matt. More than that, though, Matt also makes it harder for Rosalind to push Foggy into doing what she thinks is best for him and best for her, as since Matt came into his life Foggy has been more and more inclined to stand up to her and less inclined to go along with her constant criticism. There's only one thing for it - Murdock has to go.

Peggy Carter Crossover – Matt accidentally travels back in time

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I’d really like to read anything with Matt (and maybe Foggy) being thrown back in time and ending up on Carter’s streets. I’d love to see Matt battle with an (even more than usual) non-ADA compliant setting, Carter’s colleagues being their usual charming selves toward him when they inevitably cross paths, I’d love it if Howard Stark was the one who somehow had to get Matt home (Peggy: “I’d like to warn you. Stark can be somewhat…aggravating.” Matt: *flat voice* “Believe me, I have *ample* experience.”) I just want to see these two be friends and be ridiculously needlessly protective of each other “Have to save her, she’s a girl!” vs “Have to save him, he’s blind!” (In Matt’s defence, in that day and age it would be *really* rare to find a woman into martial arts…).

Bonus if Foggy is also there and has to up his narrative game.

Double Bonus if there are Black Widows still trying to kill Peggy.

Triple Bonus if Natasha also comes, (maybe Tony sent her with some thingamajig to retrieve Matt and Foggy) and some…*confusion* happens, before Peggy, Tasha and Matt can kick ass together.

(also, feel free to include any Steve-feelings, since Matt would have to decide what to tell Peggy about the future and what not…)

Pairings can be any, or gen.

(And yes, that would be a totally huge fic, so, like the prompt above, I'd also be happy to just see a scene written, maybe preferably one where someone severaly underestimates both Matt and Peggy together, or one where they desperately try to save/protect each other, not knowing that the other one can perfectly take care of themselves :3

Matt the Math Major

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 07:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I am of the party that views Matt having four years at undergrad before he met Foggy and plenty of blank space in between to fill in the gaps. Thus I propose: math major Matt.

Because I think Matt being a numbers nerd is adorable and law schools really like math majors.

Matt + Getting Hurt + Icarus Myth

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Ok so the myth of Icarus is my absolute favorite. Basically (if you don't know it already) Daedalus and his son Icarus need to escape the labyrinth so Daedalus fashions both of them wings of feathers and wax and Daedalus instructs his son to not fly too close to the sun (so his wings don't melt) or too close to the sea (so his wings don't get waterlogged). But Icarus did not listen, flew too close to the sun, and his wings melted.

I just really want Matt to get hurt badly again because of his continued reckless behavior and have someone compare him to that myth. And maybe that's something that helps get it into his head that not listening to sense and recklessly getting hurt all the time maybe isn't as selfless as he thinks it is?

Re: Matt + Getting Hurt + Icarus Myth

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 07:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I also always enjoy a good Icarus metaphor fic :D There is another quote I really like, which would be awesome if you could work it into the fic somehow, but still end up fulfilling the author's prompt (of getting Matt to stop his recklessness) even though the quote seems to suggest the exact opposite (but it's so pretty) - "Pity not Icarus, for he touched the sky."...

Rumors are going around that Daredevil and the Punisher (or Matt Murdock and the Punisher if you want) and dating, and people are very concerned with Matt's life choices. Some people think that its an abusive relationship and that Frank is blackmailing him or something, some think that Daredevil (or Matt) must be a killer just like his BF, but literally nobody believes Matt when he says he is NOT dating the Punisher at all.

Prison AU - Foggy is Matt's Lawyer

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 07:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Fisk's plan to frame The Man in the Mask works and Matt gets arrested on the night of the explosions. Foggy - who doesn't know Matt in this AU - is assigned as his lawyer. (For this scenario to work I kind of imagine Matt to be too poor to afford a lawyer, thus Foggy being assigned to him, so perhaps Matt's a law-school dropout in this story).

Foggy really hates him at first, because he honestly believes that he shot those cops and tried to blow up the city. But he's a professional, damn it! And this is the kind of case he needs to get used to, being a defence attorney.

Eventually he gets to know Matt and becomes his friend, kind of, and does his best to keep Matt from losing hope while they await trial. It's really difficult though, because Matt's always got a new cut or bruise on his face every time they have a meeting.

+ Bonus points if Matt still manages to bring down Fisk with Foggy's help, by relaying the right information to the right people who ask the right questions.

Matt and Foggy are defense lawyers for the it's always sunny in philadelphia gang

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 08:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Ok so somehow beautifully there is a single crossover that exists where the gang finds Matt in a dumpster and he is very confused and runs off but I need more Matt+ Gang interaction than that please.

So one member of the gang is charged with a crime while in NYC doing some heinous thing or another but actually the person did not commit this crime in particular. Matt and Foggy obviously view it as their duty to defend the innocent whether or not they are awful people.

Now they have to defend whoever it is while trying to contain the chaos and not have the Gang wreak excessive havoc on Hell's Kitchen.

Bonus points for Matt wishing a lot that he could Daredevil punch all of them but they actually in their schemes mostly hurt themselves and each other so he can't really do that with a clear conscience. But oh how he seethes with rage.

Other bonus points with Foggy being incredibly amused by their stupid opinions and calling Matt over whenever one of them says something particularly ludicrous. 'Hey Mac do you mind telling Matt again your theory of why evolution isn't real? Or explain how you feel about gay sex to him and use your powerful extension cord argument.'

Bonus: bird law

Castration or castration play

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
My needs are simple. I want to see Matt, either in an intense but consensual BDSM scene or in a straightforward fucked-up torture session or in any other situation really, seriously threatened with castration. If his tormentor(s) go(es) through with it, I would prefer Matt to survive the blood loss.

I am open to all pairings and AUs.

Re: Castration or castration play [Fill]

(Anonymous) 2016-01-30 06:07 am (UTC)(link)
Warning for implied torture and emasculation.

Matt Murdock was tapping his way home from the library. He was exhausted after tutoring for the last eight hours. He was looking forward to getting to his apartment and having dinner before he passed out in his bed.
The combination of hunger and fatigue always caused his sense to be slightly skewed; but he was just getting over a head cold made it much harder to use his senses to their full capacity. Thought he could sense the heart beat of the person behind him as they started to over take him, he couldn’t tell you much else about them as he could when his senses were at full capacity.
Matt assumed that the person behind him was just out for an evening jog and moved closer to the buildings so they could pass him. He felt the needle before he connected the down ward movement to it. Matt felt his world pitch forward and spin before he lost consciousness.
. . . . . . . . . .
When Matt woke he was flat on his back, cold, naked, and had no idea where he was. He tried sitting up but found that he’d been restrained by some kind of thin plastic wrapped around him in several layers. With his head still fuzzy from being drugged he tried to cast his senses to ‘see’ where he was. Judging by the echoes he got he guessed that he was in some sort of factory in the city. As he continued to listen he heard a rapidly beating heart from somewhere in the room with him.
“Nice to see you awake.” A soft feminine voice said as Matt heard her approach the table he was tied to. Matt struggled briefly which he assumed caused her to chuckle.
“Don’t bother trying to get free. I’ve got you wrapped up tight enough to make Dexter proud.”
Matt had no idea who Dexter was but he didn’t want to find out either; so he asked instead, “What do you want with me? Why am I here?”
She laughed; it was a nice laugh, one that would have attracted him to her if he wasn’t currently tied up. “You are here because I was bored. When I get bored I tend to go looking for people who won’t be missed, who are a burden to society, so I can have some fun with them. You are tonight’s lucky winner as I’m sure no one will miss a blind college student.”
Her statement made Matt's blood run cold. He’d been kidnapped by a person who might kill him; or worse. Matt started saying the Lord’s Prayer as it was the only prayer he could remember with his muddled and rapidly panicking brain. His captor continued speaking to him with a positive tone, which furthered Matt’s opinion that she was crazy.
“Here’s how this is going to work. I make the rules. You just have to lie there and take whatever I dish out; simple right?” She laughed again before moving around the table; “and maybe if your good I’ll let you go back to your ‘normal life’.”
Matt’s breathing begain to escalate, he honestly didn’t know how he was going to get out of this, or how to be ‘good’ for her. He was trying to move in his bindings again, looking for a week spot like Stick had taught him, when the sound of being struck with a metal object broke the air. He screamed as the pain in his abdomen followed. Gasping for air he barely had time to recover before he was struck again, this time on his leg. Matt heard what had to be a metal pipe crack his left femur. The pain that followed was worse and caused him to temporarily forget about the pain from his stomach. Matt was sobbing with pain as his captor laughed.
“That felt so good, for me, I definitely think you’re going to be very colorful when I get through with you.” She dropped her instrument and Matt heard her shuffling some things around in what he assumed was a bag.
“This should do what I want.” She stated before walking back towards Matt. He swallowed trying to calm himself down and focus so he could figure out just what she had in her hand. She noticed this and paused before commenting on his attempt to gain some form of composure.
“My, my you are a fun one, if you keep on like this you’ll pass out from shock, or choke before we get to the rough stuff. Then I’ll just have to dump your body and find a new playmate.”
“Please,” Matt gasped, “please don’t kill me.”
“We’ll see.” She said before striking him with what Matt would later learn to be a leather strap.
. . . . . . . .
Matt had no idea what the time was but he could hear birds starting to stir from their nests. He blinked and breathed, he had fallen unconscious again when the pain had become too much. He was so tired, cold, and he felt as if he’d been fun over by a bus.
“Wake up, it’s nearly morning and we’re almost done playing.”
Matt didn’t have the energy to groan, only managing a horse “Please” as she had broken, if not severely fractured his jaw at some point making it hard to speak.
“Don’t kill me”, she mocked, “I know, but just think it’s almost over. Soon you’ll either be hospitalized for your injuries or at the bottom of the Hudson River.”
Matt shivered; he wouldn’t underestimate her, as she would keep her word, one way or the other. He was feeling some relief though at the thought of his torment almost being over.
She was circling the table he was on again as she had done many times over the course of the night. When she stopped it was towards the other end of the table, she reached out her hand and pressed down on his bladder causing Matt to involuntarily release it’s contents. Humiliation coursed through him as he hadn’t wet himself since he was nine; and that had been when he was newly blinded.
“That,” she said, “must be very uncomfortable for you. Why don’t I fix that?”
She then leaned her whole body over Matt’s torso and started cutting away some of the plastic layers. Upon freeing his genitals she held them for a bit making Matt squirm.
“You must be very popular with the ladies with a set like this.” She stated as she started to stroke him; Matt let out a strangled hum as she got him closer and closer to an orgasm.
“Well this certainly is a change of pace,” she commented stroking all the while, “I could let you finish and have one last orgasm before I kill you.” She paused her speaking to allow what she’d said to sink in, “or I could just stop,” she took her hand away from his erection, causing Matt to gasp at the new pain that he felt in his balls, “and end the pain you’re in right now. What do you think your life, or your balls?”
Matt swallowed as hard as he dared. ‘Could I survive without my balls?’ he though. The blood loss alone might kill him, if an infection didn’t set in after. ‘It’s not as if she was going to keep her word anyway’ he thought dismally.
“Tick tock, times up,” she said sweetly as she had been all night.
“Take them.” Matt managed.
She seemed to bounce away from him gleefully as he heard her rummaging through her bag, soon returning to his groin to finish the deed.
“You know, I’ve never taken a set of testicles before. You may end up dying any way.”
Matt held his breath waiting for her to start, it was waiting that made everything worse, he tasted the copper before he felt the incision. The realization of what was happening to his body coupled with the searing pain that was starting to become unbearable lead him to scream louder than he had through the whole night.
“I hope you didn’t want to have kids, ‘cause these are going to be mine now.” She said cruelly as she stepped away from his body with her prize.
“I’m going to cut away your bonds now, if you can get out of here I’ll let you live.”
Matt wasn’t sure when she finished cutting him free but he eventually heard her through the haze of pain echoing through the room as she called out, “Thanks for playing with me.”
Matt tried to roll off the table but he was unable to stand and ended up falling front first, which further aggravated his new amputation. Matt struggled to get up, his world narrowing as he became colder, he heard sirens in the distance before he passed out.

. . . . . . . .
“Matt” he didn’t want to move, he didn’t want to, he was so cold.
“Mattie.” The voice sounded familiar, like his dads voice, as it tried to rouse him. Matt, warmer now moved slightly but his breath got caught in his chest with pain. He paid the voice no mind and slipped back into the nothingness.
“Matthew,” Jack said more forcefully, “it’s time to get up.”
Matt finally opened his eyes, as he did his other senses started contributing; beeping, the taste of industrial cleaners, the feel of sand paper cloth around him, he was in a hospital room. Matt shook as he came to the realization that the ordeal was over and he was going to live.
It was his sobs that attracted the attention of a nurse who gave him ‘something to help with the pain’, she didn’t understand his pain was over he could go on.
. . . . . .
After being released from the hospital with strict instructions to take it easy, Matt ignored them after a week as he fell even more behind in his studies. He was able though, to pass all his classes with flying colors, even if they weren’t his best grades, and get accepted into the Columbia law program.
He kept going though it was tough at times; for instance, he didn’t walk on isolated streets at night any more even if he needed something badly, he paid more attention to his surroundings which resulted in his ‘spacing out’, and then there was the medication.
His doctor’s originally wanted to put him on a pill that would supplement his body’s testosterone as his body couldn’t make it any more, but his body had other ideas, he ended up having a bad reaction or not responding to any of the treatments except for one, a steroid and had to be injected once every 2-3 days. Matt took it and incorporated it into his daily life.
. . . . . . . .
A year and a half later
Foggy was a great roommate, better than Matt could have dreamed up, but unfortunately he was slightly nosy.
“Hey Matt, can I talk to you about something?”
Matt, who’d just come out of their shared bathroom after giving himself his shot, shrugged as he answered.
“Sure, what’s up?”
Foggy hesitated, his heartbeat telling Matt he was nervous.
“Ok so don’t get mad or anything, I dropped my pen and it rolled under your bed and I found your stash of drugs while I was getting it back. Matt why are you doing drugs?
Matt stood in front of Foggy dumbfounded and not comprehending what his roommate was talking about.
“My stash of drugs?” he said carefully.
“Yeah your stash of drugs,” Foggy practically yelled at him, “the syringes that you were trying to hide from me; I mean WTF man this isn’t funny!”
Matt having caught up to Foggy’s line of thinking was howling with laughter, this was too much, that Foggy had found his prescription and the syringes for it and had instantly thought he was doing illegal drugs, was just too funny.
“This isn’t funny Murdock. What if someone else had found them? You could be kicked out of the law program or arrested!”
Matt was gasping for air as he groped along the wall as he settled himself into a sitting position.
“Foggy, I’m not doing drugs I have a prescription for every one of those syringes. I have low testosterone and to compensate I have to take a shot every few days to keep me from having problems.”
Foggy was speechless, he just stood there, presumably, looking at Matt. “So you’re not doing drugs.” He finally stated.
“Nope.”
“Ok,” Foggy sighed before returning to his bed and flopping down on it to finish up one of his papers, leaving Matt to continue to chuckle at his expense.
. . . . . . . . . .
Six years later
Matt was sitting on his couch while Clair fussed over him; Matt had gracelessly fallen down some icy steps on his way out of the court house the day before and had fractured his left leg. It hurt just as bad as it had the first time. Foggy had been his usual concerned self and had taken him to the hospital where Clair worked, where Foggy had learned about Matt’s missing appendages.
“I still can’t believe you didn’t tell me. Even when you were coming clean about all your ‘Daredevil’ stuff you didn’t tell me.”
Matt was cross, he had been on the trail of a large gang trying to move in on the Kitchen just before he’d fallen and was now couch bound for the foreseeable future; Foggy’s feelings being hurt was not something he wanted to deal with right now.
“As with my senses Foggy, when was I supposed to tell you that I don’t have any testicles? ‘Oh by the way Fogg’s the reason why I have low testosterone is because in order to survive I had to let some psycho serial killer cut off my balls so that I might have a chance to live’. I didn’t think it was something that you needed to know about.”
Matt was happy he didn’t have to explain this to Clair; they had, had this conversation long before.
“It just means that I have to have hormone replacement therapy and that I cannot physically reproduce. I didn’t think you’d get so worked up about not knowing that.”
Foggy got really quiet, “was it that Stick guy did he do this to you?”
Matt sighed and rubbed his forehead, “no Foggy he didn’t. Stick was long out of my life by that point. No, it was a woman, she told me she’d done what she did to me before and if I lived through getting my balls cut off she wouldn’t kill me. The police never caught her, but then I couldn’t help much, all I could tell them was that her voice sounded nice; kind of like Karen’s, but it’s not.
“I’m not hiding the information, but I’m not advertising it either. So if you would just sit on the information I’d be thankful.”
“Ok.” Foggy said scrubbing a hand over his face.
Matt smiled he was certainly glad that he had Clair and Foggy, he didn’t know what he’d do without them.

Women's Studies Major Foggy

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
This prompt is inspired by a conversation going on over on the OT Post, and based on that conversation, it's not necessarily looking for a "Foggy is a social activist" story.

Foggy clearly chases girls and is looking to get laid in college. He's got pretty girls on the brain.

So, in addition to taking Punjabi, many of his undergrad classes end up being chosen on the basis of their female-to-male ratio, which is how Foggy finds himself enrolled in a couple of women's studies classes.

But the thing is, he ends up really enjoying them. The women he ends up meeting in those classes aren't interested in dating him - some of them aren't interested in men at all - but they end up becoming good friends, and the professors are so passionate, the subject matter so thought-provoking and challenging. He finds himself interested in learning more not just about feminism, but about the ways that race, class, sexuality and gender intersect with each other culturally and legally. Those courses end up giving Foggy the kind of inspirational college experience that he'd been looking for, and so he kind of forgets his original intention in taking them.

So Foggy takes more women's studies courses. To the point where the subject accidentally becomes his minor and adds fuel to the fire regarding his interest in law school.

Even if he's still sometimes really distracted by beautiful women and not exactly the kind of person you would expect to have that kind of academic background.

The fill could be a story about him in college and how this happens, the strange friendships it resulted in or the teasing he took for his interest in the subject from other people, the way it impacted his friendship with Matt, or it could be a story about him after college surprising someone with his knowledge or using that background in their practice somehow. Up to the author.

OP would also not object to a story about Foggy realizing and coming to terms with his own bisexuality after taking related courses on sexuality or LGBT history/theory.

Matt/Foggy, first gay experience was bad so obviously Matt's not 'really' bisexual

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Ok so Matt the Inexperienced Bi Catholic goes off to college and starts realizing he has feelings for guys. All in all it's kind of confusing and a little overwhelming to try to act on them but after searching on the internet he finds someone who seems to want to go on a date with him. Their date is nice and progresses into sex..............

and it is REALLY TERRIBLE. Like the guy is a bad kisser and he says things that makes Matt feel uncomfortable and overall after it's all over he never talks to the guy ever again. Because it's so awful he just assumes that he's not really into guys after all.

But then he meets Foggy and obvs they become besties and Matt's heart grows three sizes that day and he gets all *_* for him and thinks about kissing him and stuff but obviously he's not REALLY into guys. His first bad experience proved that. So he just sort of pined after Foggy as background noise in his mind.

Eventually they end up kissing and it's so nice but right as they are about to take off clothes, panting and really happy, Matt's like......I'm sorry Foggy this is really wonderful and I love it and I would love to do so many things to your body but I can't lead you on this way.............I'm not a certified gay (tm) since last time I was with a dude it was so awful

And then Foggy makes it real good for Matt ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Aw, seconded.

Foggy/Marci, trust issues + losing control

(Anonymous) 2015-11-06 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Marci holds herself back a lot during sex. She always gets off, don't get her wrong, but she always stays completely in control. After all, she knows these people, and the male ego can be difficult, and she'd have a hard time keeping the respect of her classmates if word got out what she's really like in bed.

Because when she lets go? Marci Stahl is a fucking slut for it. Legs spread as far as they can go, humping the air, sobbing, begging, complete and utter mess of just needing to be fucked. And she loves it. Loves not caring about anything other than the next orgasm, loves being bent over the nearest surface because her partner needs her as much as she needs them, loves being made to wait for it, loves being forced to come quickly, loves everything about good sex. She's completely insatiable and it is a level of undignified she can't let anyone see, because this path is hard enough for a woman; she won't risk losing everything because someone gets mouthy about her bedroom proclivities.

Until Foggy. Who respects her completely, and loves her, and is humbled (and lets face it, also completely turned on) to be the one person who gets to see this side of her. And they have a frankly unreal amount of freaky-dirty-begging-wake-the-neighbors sex, and then have excellent debates over breakfast the next morning.

TL;DR version: Marci doesn't let anyone see her let go, until Foggy comes along and earns it. And then the sex is fucking awesome.
