Netflix and Chill


“Hey buddy!”

Foggy paused on the sidewalk and turned to face the guy leaning out of the van beside him and his first reaction is oh fuck because of how close it is to the sidewalk where he’s walking.

He shouldn’t be paranoid. It’s Thanksgiving and he’s on his way to Karen’s to get together with her and Matt and sure it’s a stereotypical unmarked white van of creepiness but he’s a little old for stranger-danger.

“What?”

“Can you tell me where Mike’s Pizza is?”

Foggy doesn’t know of any Mike’s Pizza. He says so. “Have you got an address?”

The side door opens as someone lunges into him from behind and he’s pushed forward and up and holyshit, he’s just been kidnapped. Goddamnit.

“Want a beer?”

FOggy’s sitting on a couch. There’s two guys around him lounging, the third is headed to the kitchen. Apparently to grab a beer.

“What?” And because this is the shit-show that is his life these days, this isn’t his first time getting dragged off the street and tied to a chair in an old warehouse. Only this is different because he’s never been offered a beer before while sitting on a couch with his kidnappers.

“We’ve got something called Harvers, one of those fancy shit Carpentry made local.”

“You mean Craft?” Foggy asks.

“Yeah, but if you prefer something else Moe could run out and get it?”

“Whatever you have is fine.” Foggy responds.

Moe leans forward. “It’s the good kind, I think you’ll like it.”

And if that isn’t creepy…

“Anyone want to watch Netflix and chill?” Greg asks.

Foggy blinks. Because, what? “What?”

“Watch Netflix while we wait. Kind of boring just sitting around like this.”

“Oh.” And Foggy guess none of these guys had gotten the memo what Netflix and Chill really means. “Okay.”

Greg turns on the TV, and the Wii. They have a Wii! and selects netflix.

“Anything you recommend?”

“Uh.” Foggy tries to think of something happy. Something that doesn’t involve kidnappings or murder or badguys or guns. “The Incredible Kimmy Schmidt?”

He shrugs and flips through the selection to find it.

The beer is actually quite good.

“Where were you headed to when we picked you up?”

“Thanksgiving dinner at a friends place. They’re going to know I’m missing.

If you let me go now-”

“Can’t do that. Hungry?”

Actually, yes. “Sure?”

“Moe. Go get some of that pizza around the corner. What you want on it?”

“Uhm. Supreme.”

“Excellent. I was afraid you’d want that pineapple crap. If anything doesn’t belong on a pizza its fruit. And fish. Ain’t that right, Greg?”

“That’s right, Mark.”

Moe gets up and grabs his wallet off the table and walks out. Presumably to order pizza. Unless pizza is a euphemism for let’s go ahead and kills this guy now, which it isn’t because fifteen minutes he’s back with pizza.

Really. Good. Pizza.

“So.” Foggy asks wiping his hands on a napkin. Mark and Greg are using a knife and fork on their slices. Holy shit. “Why am I here?”

“Oh. We were told to keep you busy for a few hours.”

“Why?”

Greg shrugs. “The Blake trial. Boss figures if the lawyer doesn’t it’ll be more likely for Blake to do time and not get off.”

“You want Blake to do time.”

“Well, he did it, so he should get what he deserves, right?”

Foggy is on his third beer. “Right. Uhm. Do you have proof he did it? How do you know he’s guilty?”

“Oh, we’ve got tapes.”

“Tapes. Of him committing the robbery?” Foggy asks.

“Yeah. Of course. Wouldn’t be proof if it wasn’t.”

“Can I- can I see the tapes?”

Greg looks at Mark and shrugs. “Yeah, why not?”

They pause the netflix marathon and select youtube on the Wii menu and slowly select select the search letters. b l a k e r o b b e r y.

Seriously? Youtube?

There’s a selection of video’s that pop up. And then there’s his client, in full view smashing the jewelry store windows with a crowbar.

“Okay. So. I’ve seen this now. It’s officially evidence. Legally, I need to share it with the prosecution. Do you mind if I make a call?”

“You’re not going to call the police are you?”

“No. Nonononono. Just, the prosecution. I have the legal obligation to share all evidence that comes into my possession. Like this.”

Greg passes him his phone. Foggy does exactly as he said he would and then places the phone on the coffee table and takes another slice of pizza. Moe switches it back to netflix and episode six of The Incredible Kimmy Schmidt.

“Can I phone my friends, and let them know I’m okay? They're probably worried about me.”

Greg and Mark give each other another look. “Yeah. Okay.”

Foggy barely has the phone in his hand when the front door practically explodes inward and he jumps about a foot in the air. The next five minutes and legs and arms and fists and grunts while Foggy grabs his beer, he’s got to remember the label, and gets as far out of the way as possible.

The TV breaks as Moe lands on it, Greg ends up prostrate behind the chair he’d been sitting in, and Mark escapes out the front door.

Daredevil is slightly out of breath. He’s frowning. A lot. “Foggy, are you alright?”

“Yeah.” There’s still a slice of pizza left in the box and he grabs it as

Daredevil grasps his shirt and drags him out the door. “Thanks for the save.” He says, because it’s what should be said when someone rescues you from a kidnapping, no matter how friendly those kidnappers end up being.

“By the way, we’re going to have to change to a guilty plea in the Blake case…”

Maybe they just like hanging out (Logan (sort of)knows what the enhanced senses are like and Scott knows what its like to be a young blind orphan who grew into a huge nerd that always wears sunglasses indoors, tho that's probably not what they usually talk about)
Maybe Matt just meets them in a bar or something idk

Matt/Foggy - Mind control

For whatever reason, Foggy is mind-controlled into going and seducing Matt, who is unaware of the mind control and thinks Foggy really does want him and is doing this of his own free will. And it's tender, it's romantic, Matt keeps asking over and over whether it's all right before he does anything, keeps saying how much he loves Foggy and how much he's wanted this for so long. And Foggy can't protest, can't stop, can't refuse and because of the mind-control it doesn't even read as lying to Matt. When it's over, Foggy regains control of his mind and body, and has to deal with the fallout of a) having been mind-controlled into sleeping with his best friend and b) knowing that Matt is in love with him.
Bonus points for:
- Making it a crossover and bringing in Kilgrave as the mind-controller.
- Acknowledgement that Matt is likewise a rape victim, as he would never have consented to sex under these circumstances if he had known.
- Foggy forced to say he loves Matt too, that he's wanted this just as long etc, and then Matt's reaction when he finds out Foggy was mind-controlled into all of it.

Interesting. Does the "Matt/Foggy" in the prompt headline mean they *should* actually be in love with each other at the end or is it supposed to be fully against Foggy's will who isn't interested in Matt that way at all?

Matt/Foggy - Adjusting to freedom

Matt is given to Foggy as a gift when he starts Columbia, as a study aid. Foggy is the one who pulls enough strings to get Matt to be able to sit the bar with him, and then the moment they've both graduated, he frees Matt officially and asks him out, because it wouldn't have been right to do it while Matt was still technically his slave. Here's the issue, though. Matt's been a slave since he was somewhere between nine and twelve years old. Shortly after Stick left, he was sold into slavery, and even now, as a freedman, he's still got a slave's brand, and people still feel entitled to treat him badly because of his past. Matt adjusting to his newfound freedom and ability to stand up for himself without the threat of legal consequences.
Bonus points for:
- Actually throwing out a client who tries to make a thing of Matt's background, over their protests that he's just property and has no right to do this, and almost having a panic attack afterwards while Foggy reassures him that he had every right to do it, and that there are no longer any legal repercussions to his doing so.
- Foggy's still very nervous about imposing on Matt due to Matt's background and conditioning, which plays into their relationship a lot.

Only, for whatever reason, in this scenario the bad guys don't plan to torture Foggy for information, they'll just drug him instead. (Perhaps to not leave a body trail, and with the drugged victim being unable to remember what happened after.)

Upside of drugs - Foggy is too out of it to successfully lie. Downside - Foggy is too out of it to comprehend questions. So the bad guys demand to know what Foggy knows about the Daredevil, and all Foggy understands is they're asking about Matt. So he obliges them with "...heeeeeey guys, did I ever tell you about my college roommate?" And Foggy spends several hours in a drugged haze talking about how much he loves his blind best friend/law partner and is so focused on MATT that he gives them nothing useful about Daredevil (to the point that even the bad guys are thinking 'jesus, just fuck him already').

Eventually Matt finds him, but by this point Foggy is falling into the 'bad trip' end of the noncon drugged pool. (Maybe his captors finally lost patience and started roughing him up as well?) Foggy sees Daredevil fighting and his brain interprets that as MATT IN TROUBLE and he starts panicking and quietly freaking out about Matt in danger the entire time Matt is trying to get him home.

By the end of the night Foggy is a sobbing wreck. Plenty of angst all around, with a completely uninhibited Foggy telling Matt basically everything Matt either suspected or was in denial about WRT Foggy's feelings about him, as well as his fears and worries about Matt's daredeviling AND the feelings of inadequacy and betrayal he tried to bury after the reveal, but still hasn't healed from. And Matt can't argue with him because Foggy still can't really hold a conversation, but he's able to spill out all those feelings even so.

When everything's worn off and he finally wakes up, will he remember anything beyond a vague feeling of catharsis (and whatever bonus injuries)? Who knows!

Basically just Foggy suffering over Matt, and Matt suffering because Foggy's suffering. Am delighted by both either close friends or actual lovers situations, though please no dubcon sexytimes while Foggy is still under the influence. And that's the prompt!

So, Foggy is pretty much a pro at this guiding thing now - he can tell exactly from Matt's behaviour when he appreciates actual guiding (i.e., when he's tired, sick, drunk, or completely off in his own head somewhere and distracted) and what kind of amount of information he needs/wants in what state. When Matt's healthy, focused and awake and mostly has his hand on Foggy's arm for appearance's sake (and also because he really likes it - make it as shippy as you wish :3) Foggy knows what kind of details he can fill in for Matt that are informative, funny and interesting for someone who can't see.

Now, how well does Matt at the whole thing?

I'd like to see a fic where either just Foggy, or maybe even the whole of Hell's kitchen gets temporarily blinded (or, hell, maybe he and Matt just manage to get lost and end up somewhere at night where it's REALLY DARK - I *told* you camping was a terrible idea, but noooo...!) and now Matt is the one who has someone on his arm, depending on him for warnings, navigation, description and entertainment. How does he do for Foggy?

+They have a preestablished agreement that Frank will always be willing to help Matt if he's single during his heat. (there are few people who Matt can trust enough to help, and even fewer that are alphas.)

Matt overstimulated at the New York Macys

I don't even have super senses and I get overstimulated and anxious in large department stores and malls. I imagine that for Matt they are basically hell on earth.

So Foggy invites Matt for some Christmas shopping the first year they are friends and Matt is too polite to say no. He has never subjected himself to a large department store but he imagines it to be Not Good for him. Upon actually going he realizes it's much worse than he could have ever imagined and spends the day finding creative hiding places to have panic attacks all around the store.

Thrilling Adventure Hour Crossover

What would Frank and Sadie Doyle do if they had to deal with the shenanigans of the Daredevil crew? Would Croach the Tracker be a little less disdainful of Matt's senses than he is of all other humans'? How would Jib Janeen mess up impersonating Foggy (and would he find out All Their Secrets)? How would Stick and Captain Laserbeam face off when conversation turned to the Adventurekateers? Would Karen and the Red Plains Rider hit it off, hate each other, or turn out to be the same person via time travel?

You get the picture. Anything crossing the Thrilling Adventure Hour with Daredevil, please.

AU, Matt hires Foggy as a dating adviser (Matt/Foggy)

Marci (or Karen?) owns a dating mentor service. After leaving L&Z, Foggy has a hard time finding another law firm to work for (perhaps he left on a sour note?) and starting your own firm by yourself ain’t that easy. So Marci/Karen offers to bring him on board as a dating adviser.

Luckily Foggy’s pretty good at it and at least it pays the bills.

Then he meets his newest client. Say hello to Matthew M. Murdock. Turns out Mr. Murdock has no problems getting dates or with any of the, ahem, closed door activities that may come from them, but he just can’t seem to make the whole relationship thing work. And he might have signed up for this service under duress. (maybe he lost a bet to Jessica Jones, maybe Claire told him to get his shit together, maybe he needs to figure out this dating thing so Parker and Wade stop trying to set him up, with horrifying consequences, etc.)

So now Foggy has to teach Matt how to date for success. They spend a lot of time together. They go on pretend dates. Argue over alfredo sauces, Thurgood Marshall, police brutality and city corruption - you know, light dinner topics. Matt finds himself wanting to spend more time with Foggy than with his potential dates.

And Foggy starts to fall for his client. Who he is currently trying to set up with other people. Oops.

after matt's been daredevilling for a good while now, he's understandably quite battle-scarred. the ones from before he got the red suit are worst -- raised and knotted, roping across matt's abdomen -- but he's still got newer, smaller scars from a knife that came too close or a bullet that found a gap in the suit.

foggy loves them, especially touching them, running his tongue along them, kissing them, etc.

(this could be pre-established relationship or not, i'm not picky, i'm sure you could write a slow build if not. i just had this idea on my mind for a while now and i'd love to read it.)
