Matt ends up with one kid under his care for whatever reason. He's super protective of the kid right away and surprisingly gentle and the kid loves him. This is a tipping point for his love of fellow urchin children and soon Matt has ended up with ten kids under his roof.

Go wherever you want from there I just can't stop giggling about the idea.

Matt has a fantasy about being drugged during sex so that he can't struggle/move very much. Not violent, please, the point is Matt being """forced""" to accept gentle/affectionate/soft touches, getting kissed everywhere, etc, which he knows/feels he doesn't deserve, but in the fantasy the paralysis means he's not capable of fighting back and therefore not responsible for resisting the things he actually wants. Matt totally helpless to someone making him feel good.

Could just be Matt getting off to the fantasy and feeling guilty later because of course Foggy would NEVER, how horrible is he to think that? Or if you want to go the established relationship route maybe Matt eventually manages to use his words and they roleplay it out.

Oooooh yes, SO here for this. Especially for the established relationship variant and a scene where he kind of tries to explain this to foggy in the first place - I d love it if he started out with, 'So, umm...rape roleplay, right?' And Foggy internally goes 'oh god', and Matt is like 'wait NO, *not* the way you think!' and then proceeds to explain the idea...(and Foggy SO being on board with it) and just, Foggy being even *nicer* to him than Matt could have imagined, only he can't do anything against it now...

So I'm pretty sure none of us doubt that Foggy is the darling of all the little old ladies which he meets. They all want to set him up with their single granddaughters and grandsons. Sure they may think Matt is handsome too but Foggy... Foggy is prime husband material. Only, Foggy has been too charming and now the little old ladies have become legion and are just about ready to start fighting each other with knitting needles and crochet hooks over which of them gets to set up Foggy next (although Foggy has never been so well fed with food bribes). Foggy realizes the only way to stop the matchmaking madness is to convince the granny army he's fallen in love. But Karen has already put herself out of the running since the old ladies always ask if they are dating and Karen always says no. Marci burst out laughing and hung up on him. Brett threatened to arrest him. Claire gave him one of the most scariest looks Foggy had ever gotten in his life. Cue the only one who can save him.

Foggy: “Matt, as the best friend of a superhero, it's like double your job to save me.”
Matt: "From little old ladies."
Foggy: "Especially from them!"

+Bonus 10 – For them having to take each other on public dates around Hell's Kitchen so that the granny spy network gets word back that they are actually a loving couple.
+Bonus 100 – Their fake dating is actually helping them get over the damage the vigilante reveal put on their friendship. Like they actually have to talk and listen to each other on these dates.
+Bonus 1000 – For both after falling head over heels for each other these dorks start making the most ridiculous excuses to continue the lovey-dovey act... even say in the privacy of their own apartments.
+Bonus a billion – for the ridiculous excuses extended to having sex.

Franklin Sharpe The best and ruthless defense attorney

Foggy is the best when it comes to get someone guilty out of jail. Everyone knows this and he's proud of what he has become.
Every lawyer fears him, even some judges but not Matt Murdock. He will go head to head with Franklin and most of the times Franklin wins, he always finds a way and Matt is getting sick of it so he decides to pay a visit as Daredevil to see if he can put some fear on the man but Franklin just laughs in DD's face and throws his card at him.

"Gimme a call when the police finds about you Murdock, I'll be happy to get you free"

Foggy finds out about him and pretty much knew who DD was since the bombings, he had some of his people around hell's kitchen doing stuff to get the man to act untill he found out the truth.

Matt hates him even more, they even got to fight but Foggy is smarter that way and just block Matt's senses so he's unsteady and an easy prey but he doesnt kill him. He says he makes pretty good money with all teh people DD throws in jail and he gets to bail them out.

At then end Matt goes away hearing Franklñin laughs behind him, the card on his hand and many months later Franklin recieves a call from the police telling him that Matt Murdock request him as his lawyer.

Gimme cocky, sardonic Foggy that knows everything and does everything to win a case.

That could be a wonderful fic, I'm just not sure just *who* is the devil in this scenario. I would consider starting it with Franklin getting Fisk out of prison, but that would more likely lead to another showdown DDxKingpin, so... nope. Maybe Karen's boss? I guess bewildered Matt would end up talking to Lantom about this mess at some point?
Also, anyone any idea about how would Foggy win their fight? I mean, even if he knows that Matt's blind it's not like Matt explains how he is capable of fighting, so how to *blind* him is anyone's guess at this point, and I'm not entirely sure whether he knows himself. At least apart from the rain (am I right that it cancels not only radar sense but smells too?), which is something Franklin *could* notice, but that doesn't stop him from hearing, and he still has the advantage of being trained for this.

Alternate Foggy Backstory - He's an Orphan

So I'm going to challenge the fanon around Foggy's backstory involving either Edward and Anna being saintly and wonderful OR Rosalind being an abusive bitch and suggest something entirely different.

We know that Foggy's parents owned a hardware store. And that his mother always wanted him to be a butcher. But what if those things happened prior to them both passing away when Foggy was a teenager and Foggy was then raised by a close relative - an Aunt or an older sibling who he loves.

Maybe there were in a car accident or died (similar to Dave Eggar's a Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius) of cancer very close together. Maybe Foggy then took on the responsibility of looking out for any younger siblings.

And so when he meets Matt, the two of them are able to bond over both being orphans in addition to other things.

Could be a short Christmas or holiday scene where Matt and Foggy spend it with the family Foggy has left. Could be a college scene where Foggy didn't know that about Foggy until he starts to make assumptions about Foggy going home for the holidays. I don't know... I just think it would be interesting.

Here's another alternate backstory, because my brain just loves to invent them and I don't have the time or energy to ONLY write Foggy backstories for the rest of my life. lol

What if the reason Foggy wanted to be a lawyer AND the reason he seems to know everyone in Josie's is because Foggy got into a ton of trouble as a teenager, even ending up in a juvenile facility for a while (before having his record wiped clean at 18). He vowed to clean himself up and get his act together and did, but he still feels connected to the streets of Hell's Kitchen.

Maybe he dealt drugs. Maybe he was a young con artist (similar to Slippin' Jimmy in Better Call Saul) and scammed people for money (which are skills easily translatable to being a lawyer - see the example). Maybe he ran errands for the Irish mob even from a very young age because they used to hang around his parent's hardware store. Just give me Foggy being in really deep with the criminal element as a teenager, a proper juvenile delinquent headed nowhere, who then gets his act together.

Basically, he's much tougher than he looks and is only TRYING to be a ray of sunshine. Which is then extra-complicated by Matt being Daredevil.

OP - Maybe... maybe Foggy's parents were actually part of the Irish mob and deeply connected to it through their store, and Foggy doesn't talk to them anymore because of it. And they really, really have a problem with his choice of profession and are angry that he seems to think he's better than them? And he's never introduced them to Matt because he doesn't want Matt to know that about them because of things with Jack?

so i'm a sucker for the "character a is injected with truth serum and character b cares for/deals with them but unintentionally finds out some pretty heavy truths" trope and basically i'm looking for the same thing with matt and foggy (i don't mind who gets the serum, i'd love to see either) but this particular truth serum (handwaving goes here) taps into repressed memories not just secrets being kept/lies being told.

so your standard truth serum fic (the how/when/why is totally up to you) with whoever's under the influence telling the truth/being weirdly uninhibited (a la traditional truth serum) but occasionally will blurt a repressed memory out and immediately follow it up with "oh, i didn't know/remember that" (because up until this moment it was repressed) but very matter-of-factly because they're not exactly with it, until the next day when they serum has worn off and they've retained knowledge of these newly unrepressed memories.

So this is in part inspired by a post on the Discussion/Off-Topic board about why exactly Foggy is so cool with his friend having a burner phone that he uses to hook up with women.

Why is he so accepting of that? What the hell must he think about Matt's sex life that he's just like "Oh, you don't want the women you date to have your real number or know your real name. That makes sense and is awesome."

I want a fic that lays out 5 times Foggy is conditioned to think like that and sort of faking support based on tall tales Matt has told him over the years to cover other stuff.

So, for example, maybe Foggy comes back to their dorm room and it's trashed and stuff is stolen, and it was totally related to his powers or Stick, but Matt lies and says it was a woman.

Maybe Matt has had to have a burner phone in the past for contacts within the Chaste or related to his training, and he lies and tells Foggy it's for other reasons.

All of it leaves Foggy thinking that Matt must be into some weird, weird stuff in his personal life that he's kind of afraid to ask about.

And then the +1 is that I just want Foggy to basically realize that all of his assumptions about how bizarre and weird Matt's sex life is stem from his supersenses and training, him being relieved because he was actually really a little disturbed thinking about it, and Matt being a little offended when Foggy tells him what he thought was going on the whole time.

The weird kinks Foggy thinks Matt has are up to the author!

hamilton crossover

bc I've been listening to Hamilton for. an entire month oops. (note! pls be more faithful to the musical than to actual history. you can pull in true facts but if there is conflict I'd rather go with the musical for this one.)

Matt and Foggy graduated from Columbia, aka King's College. Foggy has probably passed out at least once under Alexander Hamilton's statue while in college, and - depending on whether the musical exists or not - has heard the musical and listened to it so much that he could probably rap some of the verses. ("my name is Philip, I am a poet--" "Foggy for fuck's sake")

for some reason - maybe time travel reasons, maybe accidental resurrection reasons - they end up meeting Hamilton (let's assume, also for reasons, that this is not a temporary thing and he is back and not a zombie). Foggy has a small heart attack. Matt manages to play it cool but is internally screaming. Karen's just like "Alexander who???" or "oh, yeah, Foggy hasn't stopped singing about you, he thinks he can rap".

BONUSES:
+ Matt and Hamilton having differing opinions on something - the necessity of vigilantism, maybe. the result is a spectacular debate that Karen makes popcorn for.
+ Foggy, in a stroke of what he thinks is genius, goes "let's. let's hire him. it'd be great!" (it should be noted he is drunk at the time, and that Matt is drunk when this is suggested.) they later come to regret this.
+ Alexander Hamilton VS Twitter, the MCU version. does Karen end up teaching him how to use the Internet? does she introduce him to Twitter, because she definitely runs the Nelson & Murdock PR department (members: Karen Page and sometimes Foggy) and she needs all the help she can get? does this backfire on her?
+ this is dumb and cracky but: Matt makes out with Hamilton at least once. maybe they're following some bad guy ("welcome to modern lawyering," Matt deadpans, "you need to do all the legwork yourself") and they end up making out as a distraction. and it is really good???? shit. he thought Foggy was kidding but apparently he's right. WOW.

I am Hamilton trash as well and approve of this prompt very much... However what if it was somehow Hamilton And Burr? Imagine both the bickering level and the angst as Foggy and Matt try to keep them from finding out how their lives end?

Also I would love to see something incorporated into this fic that's not in the musical as much - Hamilton doing some bad-ass lawyering.

As one of the guilty parties in making this meme into a hub of cute slavery AUs, I am into this. What about Fisk's dressing scene where he sees himself as a bloodied child, but instead of being alone Matt's curled up in his basket (chained to the wall with a body-moddingly giant buttplug keeping his attention off his Master) in the corner, and Fisk doesn't even acknowledge him before he's out the door? And the mirror shows him as an actual dog?

So basically whatever mystical war Stick is a part of related to the Chaste and the Hand finally ends up on Matt's doorstep.

And Matt isn't ready. And he loses, and ends up in being taken captive by The Hand. They had wanted him to pass their tests and be worthy of being a soldier, but when they realize that he's not, they decide to use him for other purposes. Sexy purposes.

Essentially, a prompt for a fic where Matt is held captive by the Hand and turned into their whore, being gangbanged and used by a bunch of ninjas.

+1000 for them being aware of his unique gifts and using them either against him or to somehow make him want it and be compliant

+10,000 for Stick showing up and, while not using him, being aware that it's going on and basically acting like "I warned you and you didn't listen".

+1,000,000 if Nobu is still alive and into Matt paying for his insolence in their fight.

Hydra Gets to Matt Before Stick

So this is inspired by a discussion on the OT Post:

What if before Stick could get to Matt to train him, Hydra learned of his abilities and situation? And, unlike Stick, they weren't above manipulating Matt's desire for a father figure and trusting nature to their own ends.

So Matt ends up a Grant Ward-level psychopath, raised on a Hydra base and dedicated to the cause, seeded into Columbia in an undercover capacity prior to Hydra's reveal to infiltrate New York City's criminal underworld and law enforcement. Cue him meeting Foggy.

What happens next?

Could be a fill where he stays an evil Hydra undercover assassin, or could be a fill where he slowly realizes who he's become and tries to change. Can take place during the events of Season 1, after Season 1 or be completely 100% an AU from college. Up to the author.

This is an excellent prompt and I really hope it gets filled!

Matt gets shot, goes to Foggy for help.

I will be so disappointed if Matt doesn't get shot by the Punisher at least once in season 2, but since it probably won't happen, let's try this...

Daredevil goes up against the Punisher, and is shot in the arm. He manages to escape, and while the wound isn't life threatening, it is so incredibly painful that Matt can't even think straight. Instead of calling Claire or heading to her apartment, he goes for the nearest safe place, which happens to Foggy's place.

Cue Foggy freaking out because this is an actual gunshot wound, and Foggy can't even get the suit off Matt because it hurts too much to move, and when Foggy thinks it can't get any worse, Matt announces that oh, BTW the bullet is still inside his arm, so Claire is gonna have to come over to dig out and practically perform surgery on Foggy's couch, without anesthetic, while Foggy freaks out in the background.
