Like, I don't really care why it's happening. Maybe they accidentally ran into each other at a bar. Maybe they've just had the first trial as opposing counsels. Maybe they've actually got back together and this is a sad "I missed you, I love you, I thought I lost you" sex.

Just, sex. Sex with lots of sad feelings. Maybe some crying because it's just emotionally overwhelming. And no talking. Like, at all.

I'd prefer if Matt bottomed here. That'd make this the best sad icing on a sexy cake ever.

Since the second season premiered, I've learned that Frank sometimes calls Matt "choirboy" in the comics.

I'd love to read a fic where Matt really was one. Maybe Father Lantom asks him for a favor in those dreary days after the death of Elektra. His usual cantor called in sick and he can't find anyone to sing at Midnight Mass. Could Matt do it?

Up to you whether any supporting characters happen to be in attendance.

(I'm rusty on writing I just came here to read but this prompt got me, yo.
Sorry if it's very bad/not what you wanted lmao I tried)

Matt had always loved singing.

Tuneless melodies as he poured cereal before school, calming lullabies as he stitched up his dad's cuts after a rough match, Hymns in church where his small voice was drowned out by a roomful of other people singing.

His dad teased him whenever he caught him singing, said he sounded like Tinkerbell, but he said it with eyes red and wet, so Matt didn't think it was that bad a thing.

Father Lantom kept not so subtly dropping hints that the choir could use more members, but all the boys and girls were older, more talented; intimidating. Matt politely declined the offer every time.

And then, the accident happened. And Matt lost his love for singing.

He lost his love for a lot of things; drawing (obviously), music, boxing, parks, his friends, church. Singing. He recluded into himself, barely speaking, barely eating, barely even smiling when his dad half-joked where Tinkerbell had gone.

Needless to say, Jack was worried. It was like all sound had been sucked out of their shitty little apartment, and along with it, all the colour and life that Jack still clung to. Matt brought the colour, the life, and more importantly, the music to Jack's life. He was all he had that mattered. He'd do anything for him.

Including organising Father Lantom and the Saint Patrick's Cathedral Choir to surprise Matt. It meant Jack had to lie to his son (something he hated doing ever since making a deal with the devil to throw off his matches) to get him to come to church for the first time in months, but in Jack's mind, it would be worth it if it got his son to at least smile again.

They walked through the open doors together and Jack gave the go-ahead gesture (emphatically waving his arms around), and suddenly the small church was filled with music and heavenly voices.

Matt startled slightly, "Dad?"

Jack guided him down to the front pew, where a space had been saved for him at the end, and patted him on the shoulder when he had sat down, "Listen, Matty; I know you don't feel much like singin' these days, and I get that. So instead, I thought I oughta sing for both of us, 'till you feel up to it, yeah?"

Matt still looked confused, even shielded by his glasses, so Jack simply stepped away and ascended the steps of the altar to join the choir.

It was a well known fact among every unfortunate soul to have heard his voice that Jack Murdock could not sing. At all. Matt's lips quirked up slightly at the distinct difference between his dad's off-key, deep warbling and the choir's high, smooth voices. Matt thought his dad would sing the rest of this hymn and sit down, could imagine his face red with embarrassment, but was certain this would be the extent of it.

Until the hymn came to a close, and the opening for 'Oh Happy Day' began to play. Matt was silent for a moment until he snorted outright, hand clapping over his mouth. It was his dad's favourite song, and he had seen him dance around their living room to it on many occasions. These occasions often ended with them both jumping on the couch, and Mr Ruettiger downstairs shouting at them to quit it (tame version).

Suddenly, his dad's (awful, awful) voice was being projected from the small speakers dotted around the church and really, who thought it would be a good idea to give this man a microphone?

He could hear the choir's voices start to be interrupted with the odd giggle, and soft laughs from next to and behind him, but they didn't sound mocking, they sounded genuinely amused. Happy.

Matt's smile grew as he began to hear the tell-tale heavy thudding of his dad's feet which meant he was dancing. His dancing was only marginally better than his singing. He laughed to himself, remembering back to those days and those ridiculous dance moves. Once he started, he couldn't stop, and Matt found himself giggling behind his hand, grinning from ear to ear.

There was a pause in his dad's singing, and then Matt found himself on his feet, gently being pulled up onto the altar by his dad's hand, his voice surrounding him in the worst way, but Matt was too busy laughing to really complain.

He ended up joining in at the end. It was only a couple of lines, but it was enough to have Jack smiling through damp eyes.

Frank may be the physically imposing one but Karen was the one protecting him legally, and while technically that isn't an issue anymore I'd like something to revisit her taking care of him against people he can't beat up/shoot.

Huge bonus if it's someone trying to put the Punisher down and Karen stands right in front of him cause if they want to take Frank they're gonna have to go through her.

Gen/Friendship preferred but anon is okay with all of it :)

A cat--preferably a Maine Coon or a tabby--adopts Frank Castle as her surrogate kitten. She follows him to all his safehouses and cars, demanding petting, sitting on his head/lap/chest/legs/around his neck like a scarf, licks/grooms him, purrs when he's injured or upset, headbutts and shows a lot of intense affection.

He has an emergency evacuation cat carrier made out of bulletproof vests
He inspects her toes daily (for health purposes, not just because cat beans are like the toes of an angel)

Matt runs away with Elektra; what happens to the friends and the city he leaves behind?

They get on with their lives, and like the bosses they are, work towards making Hell's Kitchen safer place. Foggy and Karen continue to their part in their own professions, and manage to inspire the city's residents. Maybe a new vigilante steps in to patrol the streets at night, like our friendly neighborhood Spiderman or Jessica Jones. Heck, maybe even an Avenger or two (let's pretend Civil War isn't over the horizon, pls? *sniff*).
After a period of time, for whatever reason Matt returns and and while some things are still the same, he finds that the vibe of the city is quite different than how he left it. And that someone else has claimed Hell's Kitchen under his/her/their protection.

Matt tells Karen he's Daredevil but Karen's not forgiving him for his behavior just because of that. Also who was that woman?

Frank is still wanted but is intrigued by the blonde who had so much faith in him. So he starts trying to date her. Sure her not-quite ex is still making his move on her but until she tells him other wise he's going to try. Also why is Daredevil now making a move on her? Great, now he has double the competition.

Matt/Fisk noncon- Matt lets Fisk do whatever he wants to him to protect Foggy

Fisk gets out of prison and starts making good on his promise to ruin Matt and Foggy's lives. But Matt will still do anything to protect Foggy and strikes a deal- Fisk can have him and do whatever he wants if he leaves Foggy alone.

+10 for Fisk making it as brutal as he can
+100 for Fisk telling Matt everything he's going to do to Foggy if Matt doesn't keep his end of the deal in great detail while he's fucking him

Oh my god this prompt is just... Delicious. What if over time he starts to get Stockholm syndrome for Fisk as a way of coping with his situation and over time Fisk takes control of his entire life... Even becoming his lawyer (devils advocate maybe), this would be how Foggy finally sees Matt again and with the disappearance of Daredevil and how Matts apartment was abandoned when he finally went to visit this will come to a shock to Foggy.

I imagine that they would have to go against each other in court at some point and Matt would be so torn, he doesn't want Foggy to lose and innocent lives be ruined but if he doesn't do hat Fisk wants... Well, he'd rather not find out.

I know that Matt's identity is supposed to be one of the worst kept secrets ever but how about some trope inversion?

Matt's identity is revealed and EVERY one is surprised (except those who knew of course). Frank is surprised his fellow fighter is blind and represented him. Former coworkers and law people are shocked. Medical people, the media has a hayday. Cue superheroes are skeptical etc.

Fisk managing to make The Punisher look small when he was looming over him in that jail cell did things to me ;__;

Lets say Fisk asserted his dominance over Frank in a noncon way instead of just beating him up, and now he's blackmailing Frank into performing hits outside of the prison or else he tells the world that he made The Punisher his bitch in prison.

The kind of people Fisk wants dead tend to be shitbags that Frank would kill anyway so he does it, until Fisk puts a mark on Karen, the interfering journalist threatening to spill information to the public. Frank won't kill her, so Fisk makes sure everyone in the underworld becomes aware of his assault of Frank, and Karen gets wind of it.

Cue lots of angst/hurt/comfort.

Punisher AU

They didn't just kill Frank's family, they took Frank after to be a plaything for men of power to get off on hurting someone stronger than them. Some enjoyed drugging and raping him, some enjoyed inflicting physical pain, others enjoyed emotionally manipulating him. Eventually they get careless, and Frank gets loose and wreaks havoc on every man who touched him or his family.

Matt meets him at their initial roof scuffle, and when Matt pins Frank, Frank panics and runs. Matt, confused by the sudden flare terror, decides to do some digging, and figures out what happened to Frank, and decides he needs some serious help.

Thus Matt takes in a stray Frank after one of his sprees and coddles his fragile mental state until he's fit to be left alone and not kill someone. Once he's "better" though, Frank doesn't want to leave.

Foggy gets loads of job offers from big firms after word spreads of Nelson and Murdock's implosion.
He decides to take up old pal Jennifer Walters on her offer and come to work with her. He is immediately brought to the forefront of all things SHIELD and Avengers related. And because Foggy is Foggy, people just tend to gravitate to him.
Foggy is having a blast at his new job but every so often he finds himself desperately missing how it use to be, when it was just him, Karen, and Matt against the world.

Alright folks so between Foggy dissolving Nelson & Murdock and starting with Hogarth's firm it looks like he's gotten a haircut/hair products, and some different clothing (Ahh how I miss the tie pin). Someone write me Marci taking him shopping for new clothes, encouraging him to change it up. Maybe she's cheering him up about Matt? Maybe he cut his hair as a symbol of starting anew??

Make it fun, make it sad, just give me these two together.

What starts out as a semi-drunken comfort sex slowly and surprisingly evolves into something more meaningful, becoming less about their mutual friend, and more about themselves. He makes her laugh, keeps her grounded, while she reminds him of the reason why he chose to continue defending the innocent after the firm he opened with his best friend folds. It's not what either of them expected, and they're both more than okay with that.

In 2x02, when Foggy is telling off Reyes in the police station, Karen is standing in the background and she looks into it.

So, uber-competent Foggy turning Karen on. Maybe a five times Foggy's competence turned Karen on and the one time she finally did something with those feelings? Doesn't have to be though -- I'll take literally anything with Foggy being the badass lawyer that he is and Karen finding it fucking hot. Cause let's be real, it is.

Matt Feels Like He’s Been Replaced

Matt is off working with Stick. When he comes back, he finds that his place in Hell’s Kitchen has been filled by other people.

Foggy’s hanging with a new lawyer buddy.
Karen’s got another workplace relationship going on.
Jessica is keeping a grudging lid on Hell’s Kitchen.
Claire’s got her Night Nurse role fully fleshed out with other vigilantes who actually heed her wisdom every now and then.

And this may be what Matt pushed for, what he wanted so he could Daredevil 24/7 - except no, it turns out he didn’t want any of this at all.


BONUS if Foggy tries to reconnect and Matt’s like, no, no, you need to go live your life. You are better off without me. But Foggy is like, I am living my life, doofus, that doesn’t mean I don’t still want you in it. And there are feels.

I imagine all of them worrying about not hearing from Matt and trying to find out in their own way if he's okay etc. Like Foggy keeping a lookout on any news of Daredevil sightings, Karen going to Josie's in hopes of catching him and Josie saying "you just missed him hun", Jessica trying to catch photos of him out and about on request by Claire who asks her and Luke if they've bumped into him on any of their "jobs".

In the end maybe Jess stalks his house until she can catch him to get him to speak to Foggy and talk him into meeting with him and then Matt being like all sad lost cinnamon roll and pushing him away until Foggy pulls him into a hug and letting him break down in his arms while saying things like "You may be an asshole for leaving but i'll never forget you buddy".

I NEED THIS.
