Brett and Daredevil, something beyond random meetings

Foggy's gone, Karen 'needs time', Claire is still pissed, Stick's still a dick, Frank is who knows where, Father Lantom might be starting to get tired of punching Matt's guilt trip tickets, and Elektra is...well...you know...

So, pretty much everybody important in Matt's life is gone or has distanced themselves. As much as Matt has told himself its better if he just cuts everybody out of his life, just like Stick told him to do, a part of him still begs for that human connection, and Matt isn't exactly going to go and seek out somebody new. And honestly, the only person that he trusts, and is somewhat a constant in his life is Brett, except Brett is FOGGY'S friend, and Matt was just a tag-a-long.

Which leaves Brett 'bumping' into Daredevil more often than what was considered 'normal'... Daredevil lingering longer than he did before... Daredevil making quiet little inquiries about Brett's well-being if Brett is tired or sick... An exhausted Brett at the edge of a crime scene suddenly finding a steaming cup of coffee being held out in front of him by a red gauntleted hand... Along with a whole slew of other unexpected behaviors.

Now, Brett isn't stupid--no way he could've survived a Fisk-owned Fifth Precinct if he wasn't at least a tiny bit observant. How long does it take for Brett to realize all these odd new behaviors are because Daredevil is lonely? Does he start to reach out, reasoning that if this vigilante has no anchor, he might go off the edge, and its safer for Hell's Kitchen this way? Does he start to make off-hand comments about Bess? Or how his spouse (pretty sure that was a wedding band I saw on his finger at one point...) is talking about wanting kids? Does he start hanging out in dark alleys near crime scenes, holding two cups of coffee, and maybe some of Bess's famous peanut butter cookies? Or anything else that gives Daredevil an excuse to stick around...

Just want to see Brett and Daredevil build their partnership of convenience into something more solid.

Bonus points if Brett figures out Daredevil and Matt are one and the same.
More points if Brett knew from almost the beginning but kept his trap shut.

(And come on...once Daredevil loosens up, the amount of snark these two could fire at each other would be great! And Brett needs more love--the guy DID get kinda beat up there at the end!)

OMG, I teared up just reading your prompt!!

Depressed shut-in Matt who refuses to accept any help Matt/Foggy Matt/Claire

Set after the events of episode 13 this would be like a couple months later, Karen knows that Matt is Daredevil still but she needs time to think it through so Matt gradually begins to shut himself away in his apartment and interaction with the outside world while living off the large amount of money he finds Elektra left in his name.

This means over time the amount of times Daredevil is out on patrols decreases until one day they stop happening at all and Claire pays a visit (at this point she's night-nurse) after hearing off some of the other vigilante's like Luke and Jess how Daredevil lost his touch and the last few times they saw him he was out of it and wouldn't talk to them.

When she sees Matt he's a mess, so is his apartment, glasses and plates smashed, blood speckled on the floor where Matt must have walked through glass and either not cared or was too numb to feel the cuts.

Cue some angst and Matt essentially kicking Claire out of his apartment when Claire tries to help and somewhere along the line she gets in touch with Foggy and asks Jess to keep an eye out on Matt to make sure he doesn't do something/check his not dead.

Somewhere along the line Matt tries to finally kill himself and foggy races to get to him in time while Luke or Jess tries to talk him down off his roof. Foggy gives him like some long speech of something sappy and then one of them manages to drag him down off the roof.

Anything after that could be like
- More Angst/Hurt/Comfort
- Matt finally getting therapy or treatment
- Foggy moving in with him to help him out of his depression and then un-expectantly fall in love (nawhhhhhh)

Sorry for the essay of a prompt but I suck at filling in the gaps. If someone could fill this I would love you forever. Please.

Karen and Foggy concerned that Matt Murdock has been replaced by Daredevil

Karen and Matt start to pick things up again after his confession about his dual identity. They even start to have somewhat of a relationship, but... After a week she realizes that it's like she's dating Daredevil. Not Matt. This can't be healthy, so she tries to draw Matt back into real life. She also enlists Foggy in the effort. Matt resists at first.

Oh my god yes, like Matt's closed off and worried about letting her get close again because of what happened with Elektra and he's constantly training in the day at the gym and then on patrol on the night and sometimes Karen comes round and finds all these sheets of information over his floor while he researches into busting someone and giving the info to the Karen and the papers like he used to give info the Ben Urich and she just gradually watches as Matt gets more and more worn down and disconnected to reality and interacting with people.

She gets in touch with Foggy and tells him whats going on and they both try to take him out one day just to sort of get him used to being human and having fun for once.

At first Matt is rude and gets angry at them for trying to get him to spend time with them on a night and tell him to have a rest and just relax but maybe they like get in touch with Claire for advice and like try some techniques for helping people who have disorders or anger issues.

Matt goes to the hospital after his encounter with Fisk

So Matt knows he kind of fucked up visiting Fisk. So he decides to do what lawyers do best and start building a case against Fisk running the prison. Cue Matt visiting the hospital and explaining how he got his injuries. Fisk, of course, find out and is not pleased.

Cue Matt making good on his six dollar postage threat because Murdocks do not stay down..

I hate Elektra, just because she's so unhealthy for Matt (no hate on people who like her, just my opinion) and I wish Matt would put Foggy above anything else.

So a complete rewrite of Season 2, Matt's the bestest of avocados and treats poor Foggy like the pretty princess he is. Also, Frank needs some unconditional love, because he hurt my heart.

What if Matt didn't hold his comments to seem as charming and pleasant as he does? What if he had a lack of filter and held a tough exterior and saucy personality?

Think, Little Steve before the serum but growing up poor with a boxer dad in a rough part of town where the aliens just miss and the various mobs and crime families take from the weak and give to the powerful.

S1 or S2. Frank/Matt preferred, but Foggy is always welcome.

Avengers try to arrest Frank, Matt protects him

Months after the end of season 2, Frank goes on a mob killing spree outside of Hell's Kitchen. It's then final straw that breaks the camel's back and the police request the assistance of the Avengers taking him in.

Matt would be all for Frank returning to prison but there's still a conspiracy going on and there's no guarantee the Punisher won't be killed or get the death sentence. So Matt tries to get in the Avengers' way and vouch for Frank.

+ for Daredevil already being friends/occasional workmates with the Avengers

Outsider POV, Matt gets some sleep

After binging the second season, I went back and watched the first two episodes with a non-fanatic family member. One of her comments: When does this guy ever sleep? I laughed because hello Claire, but it also made me hanker for a fic where he does just that.

Give me Matt falling asleep in a dingy diner or Josie's or a pew in church and someone covering him with a blanket or just mothering him. I'm not looking for pure fluff, but rather something a little gritty and tender, at the same time. Bonus points for outsider POV!

Matt doesn't need to go and visit Foggy at the hospital. Foggy's so damn sure that Matt's standing on the roof all ready to defend them from evil that Fog just whispers into quiet room, knowing Matt can hear him.

Brett called Foggy his "friend" but honestly he sees him as more than that. And he doesn't know exactly what, but he does know Foggy's for the knack for getting himself into some deep shit. Only now he's starting to realize that that has a lot to do with being around Matt Murdock.

Can be before or after Matt and Foggy's "breakup".

Brett starts getting more INVOLVED in Foggy's welfare and Foggy's kind of wondering (and a little bit awed) by Brett caring so much, and eventually Brett's feelings come out, and Foggy is shocked, a little flattered, and maybe a little turned on.

+1000 for Foggy totally teasing Brett about his "crush" and messing with him but also returning his feelings

+10000 If post Matt/Foggy issues, Brett being the good boyfriend and trying to help them through reconciliation even if he still thinks Matt's too damn dangerous

Matt and Frank have a solid, if maybe slightly unusual relationship. There's not always a huge amount of talking. They're not terribly demonstrative. They disagree about some very fundamental things. But they're 100% devoted to each other.

Frank becomes the only person Matt hasn't pushed away/doesn't think he's endangering just by being near him, so after his firm folds and realizes that there's no way for him to afford his apartment rent, he just lets it go and completely cuts himself off from normal society. One thing leads to another and he ends up moving in with Frank to avoid being homeless and having to sleep in his Daredevil gear.

It turns out being strangely good for him because unlike Foggy or Claire or Karen, Frank can actually get Matt to stop and rest and eat and take semi-proper care of himself when he needs it, since taking care of himself is the only way he can talk Frank into doing the same whenever he gets hurt, and it ends up being a cycle of them finding ways to cope that rely entirely on one another until they can't really function apart.

Bonus:
+They accidentally adopt a pet together and they both spoil it like nothing else.
+Matt cooks food for Frank that don't come out of cans.
+They end up supporting themselves by stealing from crime bosses just to rile them up.
+Either Matt pulls Frank back from the ledge where he kills people all the time or Frank is there for Matt when he falls over it with him.
+Frank lets Matt touch his face to map it out!!!

So someone on another prkmpt pointed out that it sounded like Matt's break-up with Elektra emotionally drained him to the point where it nearly made him fail out of classes or school.

So give me Foggy's POV of Matt meeting this crazy girlfriend and Foggy not knowing what happens between them but knowing it's bad, and then him helping Matt through putting himself together when he's wrecked after.

Totally down fir just friendship, but bonus points if Foggy decides that Matt just needs to get laid again and is okay with being the rebound sex/lover, even if that ends up being a temporary FWB thing.

So after watching a few episodes of S2 with my husband, he tells me that in the older comics Frank Castle and Nick Fury team up at some point, or that Castle comes to work for Fury for awhile. I'd like to see Castle and MCU!Fury come together, maybe Fury recruits him for a few missions where they partner up and it's just them, no SHIELD grunts or backup. Cuz they're both too cool for backup.

Stick & Black Sky

So Stick obviously cared about Elektra as a kid, killing a colleague/possible friend to protect her, getting her set up in a safe, loving home. But he obviously changes his mind about Black Skies after that, seeing as he was determined to kill the boy in the first season.

I'd love to see something about how he came to that, and how he decided to kill the first Black Sky he learned about after Elektra.

They meet in a bar Foggy went to with his new colleagues, end up drunk and nostalgic at Matt's place. Sex happens (it can be awkward, especially since it's the first time with a man for both) but Foggy says "this doesn't change a thing, we're not friends again" and Matt is all "whatever, same".
Basically, the both of them are the hetero friend lying to himself that "it's just for fun, nobody's getting hurt, it's just sex". It happens again and again, sex becomes an excuse to be close, but being close and having sex instead of playing pool table or being each other wingman make them realize they're both idiots. Happy ending after a fuckton of angst, it's what I'm praying for, tbh.
