S2 ep13 tag: Karen's reaction

So, the last episode ended with Matt telling Karen that he is DD. And as it turns out there is no episode 14, I am in desperate need to see Karen's reaction to this.

Basically I want to see what Karen has to say about it. I want to read about what is going on in her head. I'd prefer no smut if possible.

Bonus if you write a scene where both Karen and Foggy worry about Matt's safety. Basically like the scenes with Foggy trying to help, only that now Karen is there too.

Ooh, what a dynamic. Frank ndh Matt are gentler, more careful with Karen, but snark and struggle with each other until Karen has to call a time out and show them how to fuck without giving each other split lips and black eyes

So Matt feels hideously guilty about the events in S2, and there's a lot of talking and reconciliation and apologies. But Matt thinks that he needs to be punished, too.

However, Foggy is 10000% not comfortable doing that. So they end up with Frank doing what needs to be done to his choirboy, with a cane or a whip or any number of things, and Foggy Nelson watching in abject...well, feelings.

"No." Foggy says. He can't believe this.

"Yes."

"No!"

"Foggy, if I don't--look, I understand if you don't want to be there. I'll just--I'll ask him to do it, and maybe then we can, we can put this behind us and--"

"Wait, Matt--you--no! Just--no! None of this at all! No! That's not healthy!"

"Maybe it's not, but it's what I deserve, and I just--Foggy--I can't ever not feel guilty about this until I'm punished. Until I bleedI trust you, you have to trust me, I put in the work and you didn't, you're so wrapped up in your fucking abandonment issues but you left me!)

So he watches, swallowing, as Frank fucking Castle strokes Matt's hair, pulls him flush to his combat pants. "Shh," he says. "Shh. You're gonna take it like a good boy, and then this can be over and done with, yeah?"

Matt nods. Castle smacks him, one meaty hand punching into the flesh of his back. Matt moans and Foggy jumps.

"Yeah," Castle says, running a hand through his hair and punching him again, not on the spine or kidneys but still way too close for comfort. "You're gonna do the work of changing so this doesn't happen again? So you don't need to be punished for this anymore, Red?"

Matt nods again, his mouth open and his face slack.

"Answer me."

"Yes," Matt says, and he sounds high. Jesus fuck. "I'm going to mean my apology this time."

"Good boy," Castle says, and is his voice always so...fucked up? It's distractingly so, and then Castle goes and steps back and gets what looks like a slim cane, and starts hitting Matt.

Foggy jumps at each few hits, and stares at it as Castle goes through the boxers and Matt moans in earnest, his face twitching with guilt and pain and then relief, a small smile as he looks in Foggy's direction.

"Who's this for?"

"Foggy," Matt says, and smiles hugely at the mention of him. Foggy feels sicker than before; he wants to call this off, but a part of him, deep down, is way too fascinated. Sure, he's spanked a few people in bed, and one girl was into being peed on in the bathtub, and another liked hairpulling, but Foggy's never seen anything quite like this.

Punching, and slapping, and real pain. It's clear that Matt hurts but that he's also just bearing this so well for Foggy, that he's taking his punishment like a good boy. It makes Foggy feel slimy for seeing, like he's walked in on something that doesn't make any sense, like he's playing into everything that's twisted and wrong in Matt's head.

At some point, the cane breaks the skin and Matt's bleeding, and Foggy can't. "Stop," he says desperately, and then there's a pause.

"Hear that, Red? You've taken enough," Castle says roughly, and walks over to look at Matt's face, pet his hair. Castle squats down to look at Matt, and kisses his forehead, and Foggy feels suddenly like he's walked in on something he doesn't want to know about.

Matt's eyes stare wide into space as Castle unties the knots, and then gently pushes Matt into Foggy's arms where he sits on the couch.

"What--"

"You take good care of him," Castle snarls. "I'm leaving this part to you a bit, just this one time. Be back tomorrow, Red, and you, Nelson, you take care of him. Say how well he took it and feed him and wrap him up. He deserves it."

"What--sure--" Foggy says, grasping at the straws, and then Castle's gone and he's still sort of accessory, maybe, unless Castle never actually had them stop being his lawyers--

And then he refocuses. Matt in his arms, hurt and bleeding and super fucking out of it.

Foggy bandages him first, hesitatingly getting Matt to peel off the boxers so he can wash and bandage him there, too. Then he gives Matt spare sweats, and puts him on the couch as Foggy orders pizza and gets them water. Well, he also gets himself a vodka because jesus.

"Foggy?" Matt mumbles.

"Yeah?"

"Did I...are you still mad at me?"

Foggy considers the question. He's done lying, too. "A part of me is. But that part of me will only stop being angry with a lot of time and...soul-sharing. And it just--the reason that it's angry is because there's been an unreciprocated emotional intimacy in our friendship since, since I think it started."

Matt's face is puzzled. "What?"

"I just--with the whole senses thing, with the, the lying and then the Punisher and now Elektra coming back--"

"I told you everything this time," Matt snaps, and comes back more and more to the real world. "I told you every single thing about the Hand, about what I was doing, about visiting Fisk and--"

"And I still don't understand why you chose her over me!" Foggy says, and doesn't mean to, knows it's not what you say to guys with horrible girlfriends, it's the wrong framework--

"Because I thought she needed help and you didn't," Matt says quietly. "And because I, because--in her own way, she really loved me," Matt says, fierce and sad and mourning.

"In her own fucked-up way, yeah, maybe," Foggy concedes. He's not so sure. "But I do too!"

"No, you--you love this version of me that I wasn't sure existed anymore. You love a guy whose senses aren't so sensitive, who was never reshaped by a guy when he was child into a weapon, who isn't--who doesn't understand violence. I love you too, Foggy, but you don't understand violence. You don't get it. That's--half the reason I arranged this is so that you'd understand who I really am. For you to see how it helps me to go out in my red pajamas and save people and get hit and then back up again."

Foggy looks at Matt. Really, harshly looks at him. "You think I didn't know you were fucked up?" he asks softly.

Matt looks confused.

"I didn't know details or even the extent of it, but Matt, you don't exactly hide your traumatic life as well as you think you do. From the day we talked about our parents' dreams for us and I found out you were the son of single dad boxer who made you stitch up his face to the time you almost missed a final, I knew you were fucked up," Foggy says.

"I wondered for years who it was in specific that told you you couldn't have nice things. And, Matt--what exactly do you need punishing for? All the time?"

"For just--" Matt says, looking exhausted. "Did I ever tell you about how my grandmother said--"

"Oh, for christ's sake!" Foggy yells. He can't help it, he refuses to be reasonable about this. "One mean old lady projecting her fears about how she raised her son onto you by telling you you've got the 'devil' in you when that's pure bullshit doesn't mean anything! Matt, it doesn't--please don't tell me you've spent your whole life thinking that this was true!"

"How else can you explain it," Matt demands. "What other explanation makes sense? The common denominator in all my fucking failed relationships, in every job we left, in every time I've burned down our life, it's me. I am the problem, and this is why, because I have to control it."

"No, Matt," Foggy says. He feels like maybe this was for the best after all. "The reason you end up fucking it up is because you think you're doomed to fuck it up. Your worldview is that everyone leaves so you drive them away. You've been trying to make me hate you for years and I don't. I don't hate you anywhere near enough to think that you've got literal Satan inside of you. I'm still pissed, yeah, but I think that you can change. That what I saw in you, that what I still see in you, can prevail."

Matt looks--odd.

"Now, let me just--let's eat some pizza, and I'll get you an extra blanket. And maybe you can catch me up with what else you've been doing, and just...our lives."

Matt nods. "You first," he says, half-teasing, and Foggy smiles.

"Alright. Me first. Well, did you know that Marci hates even puppies--"

Frank, Matt - Definitions of cowardice

Matt loses everything. His work, his home, his friends, his family. Frank has every expectation that this will make Matt see the 'truth', and that at last Matt will take to the Punisher's way of doing things.
Matt doesn't. He keeps on being Daredevil, keeps fighting the same way he always has, without killing. He builds up Nelson and Murdock again, keeping the name in Foggy's memory, but not abandoning his civilian life and continuing to fight as both Murdock and Daredevil to make Hell's Kitchen a better place. He's sadder, lonelier, worse-off than he was...but he's a Murdock. He gets back up again.
Frank has absolutely no idea how to deal with this.

Oooh, I like this one. How does Foggy take to the firm still existing after he shut it down? Does Frank try to yank Matt to his side again, does he argue, fight, help him on occasion? What does Stick have to say about all this?

So Matt feels very guilty, sad, and ashamed of his attraction to Frank, and his desires. Frank understands this.

But when Matt's being his dog/puppy, he doesn't have to feel guilty or ashamed--those are human things! He doesn't have to worry about morals and mental health and conflict of interest and his hideously stressful life. He can just let go and love Frank like he wants to, be scritched and called a good boy and just be quiet in his head and trust someone else.

Just... gimme creepy stalker-from-afar Fisk. Him obsessing over Matt while in prison. Reading everything there is to know about him. Plastering his walls with pictures of him. Arranging more meetings because he's holding the threat of hurting Foggy over Matt's head. Just... plz.

(Because that scene in the prison did things to me, man. The way Matt's knees buckled out from under him after Fisk pushed him into the chair... unf)

Daredevil/Foggy in the dark

After season 2, Foggy and Matt don't talk to each other at all. They've cut ties completely.

But at night, when Foggy gets caught out alone, Daredevil is there and there is angry, fraught kissing (or more) in the dark. Then they go their separate ways.

Matt and Foggy still don't talk.

Matt's "private client" - the same one who drops massive amounts of cash into the N&M bank accounts and sends drivers over to pick him up at random times of the day - isn't from a legal case or his vigilante side job. It's from Matt's other nighttime side job, secretly keeping the firm just afloat while they keep taking on pro bono cases.

Preferred Matt/MC as the private client rather than Matt/Elektra, though Elektra can still turn up if she wants.

That was the first time she pegged him. Got a little carried away. Matt lied to Foggy it was it leg that got hurt, to hide the fact he couldn't walk.

Frank/Matt - slow burn relationship with kinky sex (and a little plot)

So, bc I'm terribly upset on Bullseye losing one of the most iconic things he's done to a random OC it goes like this:

Fisk hires Bullseye from behind the bars to get his revenge. And while Matt does defeat him in the end - Lester manages to kill Karen and havily injure Foggy. He survives but goes into coma.

Naturally, Matt feels terrible and basically starts living beside his bed. Frank, who understand all to well what Matt is going through (he's seen them all together, there might not have been blood bond but they where a family and Matt was the protector who couldn't do his job) and (like in the comics) doesn't want DD to become anything like him (one Punisher is more than enough) - starts visiting him at nights (they both break in/Matt bribes the hospital administration to be let in at nights/Claire calls in each and every favor she has accumulated through the years - but somehow noone disturbs them).

At first they just sit quietly, then they start talking, then Matt starts seeking physical comfort... and it goes farther than each of them anticipated.

Things I'd like to see (but are not necessary as long as there's a "slow burn to hot sex" thing)

- They're first time is actually Frank finger-fucking Matt (it happends in hospital bathroom and both hate themselves for doing it)
- Second time happens at Matt's home and it's a slow thing that almost drives him crazy (orgasm-denial)
- Milking
- Enema (and penetration with liquid still inside)
- Using not-very-suitable items as toys
- Legit toys like plugs and beads (and maybe tying up? maybe Mattie feels so bad that night he just wants to forget everything?)
- My soul and firstborn for electic stimulation (including anal)

....but basically just give me the tragic Bullseye scenario and slow-burn kinky relationship and I'll love you.

So I want a season 2 AU where instead of the stupid-ass Elektra plotline we got, instead Frank demands to only speak to Murdock, not Karen. And Matt pulls his damn legal weight.

And then he and Matt connect; Matt convinces him of what strategies to play, and they get closer and unintentionally closer and Foggy is SO worried and maybe even they get the Punisher sentenced to a mental health facility, or a 'not guilty' verdict.

team avocado has imploded; matt's gesture at the end of s2 is a good first step but all the anger and hurt isn't magically swept under the rug. karen and foggy had each other's backs through it all; maybe matt wants another shot once they've begun communicating more openly and she realizes she doesn't want to do it without foggy? idk just give them all coming back together and it's hard and tense and painful but they're all ultimately better and happier for it.
