we've had daredevil and pokemon -- what about daredevil and persona? what arcana do you think the crew would be associated with? what persona? matt and lucifer seems to be a cop-out answer but if the shoe fits... or maybe matt and michael. :D?

and if it's like P4, imagine what everybody's shadows would have to say. :D

On fuck the hell yes!,why hasn't anyone thought of this before!, but I think Matt's arcana would have to be between three choices

Devil: because obvious reasons and also the devil arcana represents the urge to do selfish, impulsive, violent things and be slave to ones' own impulse and feelings. And if that doesn't fit with his guilt ridden love of violence nothing would.

Justice: because it symbolizes a strict allegory of justice, objectivity, rationality and analysis. And being concerned with matters of fairness, and otherwise being very stoic, and Justice Personas are usually various orders of angels, and are otherwise deities of justice, order, or vengeance which would be great for his religious feelings

And finally Hanged Man: with it associated with self-sacrifice for the sake of enlightenment, the bindings that makes one free, paradoxes and hanging between heaven and earth. And being self-sacrificial, but are more often notable for being caught between two different extremes or parties. With that being fitting because Matt is a martyr without a cause, and while feeling guilty about his vigilante acts straining his relationships, he has also never felt more free then when he's fighting for the people of Hell's Kitchen

Matt Foggy gen--Matt Institutionalized

Foggy doesn't take it well when he finds out about Matt's nighttime activities. When Matt refuses to stop being Daredevil, Foggy decides to take matters into his own hands. Author's choice whether or not he reveals Matt's identity, but somehow Foggy succeeds in getting Matt committed to a psychiatric hospital (possibly for criminally insane, if Matt's identity has been revealed). Foggy is still Matt's emergency contact, so he comes in to check on Matt and sees him deteriorating rapidly. The sounds of the other patients, the drugs they have him on, etc. all start to cause Matt to get worse mentally/emotionally, possibly even consider suicide.
+if hospital staff are Hydra and experimenting on Matt, or hired by Fisk to terrorize Matt
++Matt thinks Foggy had him committed out of spite/vengence, doesn't get why Foggy keeps visiting
+++all the feels, esp. guilt, from Matt and Foggy

The avocados all need some tlc, and who better to provide it than the avocados themselves? Karen giving massages, Foggy providing hugs, Matt bringing treats like pastries or coffee during rough patches. Just give me some fluff set in the days of Nelson & Murdock.
Could go in the direction of Matt giving oral under desks, Karen's truly stellar handjobs, and Foggy's gentle lovemaking.
Author's choice if it's gen, m/f, or m/f/k, but I'd prefer it if there's no polyamory, but rather a fwb scenario with possible matt/foggy romance.

Some kid blackmails Daredevil into being their friend

By stringing together several clues from footage and personal experience, someone figures out who the Devil of Hell's Kitchen is;
Daredevil probably lives in Hell's Kitchen, or at the very least in New York. Studying footage shows he's left handed. And he has this odd tendency of not looking at who he's fighting so it's possible Daredevil's blind (or psychic). Add his approximate height, build and hair colour and someone figures out that Daredevil is blind lawyer Matt Murdock. Alone and severely depressed Matt Murdock.

As it turns out, the person who figures it out is just some teen-aged, superhero fanatic, computer-whiz kid who only does it to prove he/she can. They never intended to do anything with the information other than maybe get an autograph or send him a thank you card for saving their life once. But it turns out Daredevil's current living situation is less than ideal and that he really needs help. So they decide to (forceably) give him some much needed companionship and sure, not exactly an ethical way to do it but the ends justifies the means, right? And the only way stubborn-as-a-mule Matt Murdock would ever get help is if you force him to.

Bonus points for Homeless!Matt. Maybe him rescuing the kid from bullies? Matt reluctantly becoming fond of his "blackmailer".

Matt - normal stressors

So, post S2 Matt goes on his way. He gets lost in Daredevil. Flash forward and Foggy brings him back. He and Matt live together and all is great - except he finds that Matt no longer copes appropriately to day to day stressors. He freaks out with the slightest problem and reacts violently.

Foggy - post S2, trust issues

Foggy finds out his best friend of 10 years, whom he's lived and partnered with and planned his around, has been lying to him about some fundamental stuff. Matt asks Foggy to trust him, going after Fisk, and Foggy says okay. And then instead of opening up more....Matt retreats. Doesn't spend time with Foggy out of work, or later even at work. Doesn't tell Foggy about important things in his life. He progresses from making jokes about Foggy caring about him, to being annoyed, to being actively pissed off. Not showing up at the hospital and eventually walking away were pretty much of a piece with not acting like Foggy's friendship was something he even wanted or cared about.

I'd really like to see Foggy in the aftermath being legitimately damaged by all of this. Like, he tries to make new friends but keeps getting kneejerk fears that they're lying to him. He has a harder time opening up or being vulnerable or relying on anyone, not just Matt. Because if he can't trust 'constantly quoting Marshall moral compass Murdock'....who can he? If Matt fooled him about who Matt was and how much he cared for so long, how can Foggy trust his own judgement about anybody?

(I'm not saying Matt actually doesn't care. From our POV he obviously does care and is just incredibly shitty at it. I'm not interesting in fighting about blame or any of that. I just want a look at Foggy's perspective, and how much that kind of deception could fuck someone up.)

- whether it's gen or shippy or involves outside ships is totally up to authoranon
- whether Foggy eventually works through it and is able to forge new friendships eventually also up to authoranon but if so it should be difficult/slow
- if Matt tries to reconcile, there's a long while where Foggy just doesn't believe anything he says and thinks Matt is saying things he wants to hear for inscrutable purposes of his own

Anything with those two and an epic May-December bromance. Older, more cynical, overprotective Frankie who forgets how to act like a human sometimes. And teenage idealistic riddiculously awkward Spiderbaby with his own troubled past.
Reminding Frankie to do normal-person things.

Teaching the Spiderkid some military-grade hand to hand combat.

The Chaste's preferred method for training their warriors to deal with rape is to desensitize them...with rape.

Stick, for all the dick he is, doesn't do it to any of his students. He abhorred it when he experienced it and refuses to do it.

It gets out that this is a thing. Everyone is horrified with it and when they connect that DD was about 12 when he was trained they become very sympathetic. And decide to hunt down his teacher.

Cue horrified Matt and trying to explain to everyone that no he doesn't have Stockholm damn it. He was never raped. Now stop trying to kill his mentor.

He did even before the accident, and the trauma ( even tho it was no ones fault) has only made his previously existing mental illnesses worse. Matt knew the family from church and offered to do anything he could to help, and Frank takes him up on that offer by having him babysit whenever he's having an especially bad day (mentally) The three of them end up growing close ++Frank Jr is the one who lived and Frank has some intense guilt because Lisa was always his favorite and he sometimes wishes it was her ++ Foggy hates Frank with a burning passion ++ emotional support dog max

For some reason or the other, Captain America is captured and charged with crimes, and Matt volunteers to be his lawyer (maybe because, like with Frank, he feels something worse would happen if he didn't step in?)

Only he absolutely, 100% disagrees with Captain America's reckless disregard for the law and for his teammates.

Matt's someone who spent his whole life believing you worked with the law up until nothing else could be done, and what Steve Rogers did was decide not to play ball at all, putting himself above the law because he's so sure he's right - and Matt's tired of people who think they're "right" and doing things "for other people's good" (Stick, anyone?)

+1 if he ends up working with Foggy again and Foggy expects him to support Captain America, and the discussion about why Matt doesn't support Cap at all leads to their resolution
+10 if Captain America knows about Matt and Matt's secret identity, and is baffled by how cold Matt is to him privately, and Matt really let's him have it, especially since Matt is raw after losing his friends and Cap basically threw the team he had away
+100 if Cap actually realizes the mistakes he made (he doesn't have to regret the decisions he made - I truly believe Cap would choose the same action over and over - he just needs to regret or at least fully actualize the consequences of his actions)

Oh god yes. Matt steps up because absolutely no other lawyer is willing to represent the traitor Captain Terrorist (that's what some of the media are calling him) and even the Public Defenders office is going to pawn off the case on their newest lawyer.

And maybe his assets have been frozen, and his defense is being funded by Tony Stark, just to rub salt into the wounds.

Steve having to deal with an actively hostile media because he's pissed away all the goodwill bought by Howard Stark's conservation of his memory.

Matt and elektra are two orphans who were raised by stick and grow up to be manipulative and cruel ,they enjoy seducing people and ruining their lives in the way , matt has grown bored of this as he no longers feels there's a challenge. Elektra makes a bet with him, if he suceeds in seducing frank castle recently widower, condecorated war hero, loving father and good catholic in going to bed with him and make him fall in love with him, she will have sex with him, matt takes up the challenge but things will not be easy for any of them..

Ok, I just watched the trailer for the new movie "Don't Breath." The main premise is that these three basically kids try to rob this rich blind guy because they think easy target. Then the blind guy ends up kicking their asses/killing them. I would love to see a rendition of this utilizing Matt. Obviously, Matt wouldn't be as psychotic as the guy in the trailer, but he'll still kick ass. Any point in the time line would work for me.

I've always wanted to read a fic about Foggy convincing Matt to go to a concert or game or festival or something...somewhere it would be realistic for college era Matt not to have been before. Consequently, Matt has no idea how overwhelming sensor wise it's going to be. He tries to tough it out but ultimately can't take and they are forced to leave.

Bonus if there's so much noisy and commotion Matt can't focus and can't "see."

Double Bonus if Foggy is initially pissed but then realized Matt is really hurting.

Triple Bonus if it's early in their friendship so they are still learning each other.

Quadruple Bonus if it's gen not slash.

Matt & Frank - Matt confronted with not being sure Frank is the enemy

Not long after S2 ending, Matt and Frank are kinda recreationally slugging it out on some rooftop. Their argument about killing is well-worn and the whole thing is almost friendly, more like blowing off steam than a serious fight.

Maybe for both of them the other is the closest thing to somebody who understands.

Matt gets in a good hit and Frank goes down, and Matt waits for him to get back up (like always) but suddenly Frank is disoriented, slurring his words, struggling and failing to get back to his feet.

Matt's going... uh, shit. Is this guy still the enemy? Do I call the cops? Leave him to it? He did help me out that one time...

Maybe Matt gets to the point where 'leave him to it' seems the best option, but then the bad guys arrive
