Matt gets turned into a Dog

... and the Avengers adopt him.
Clint insists Lucky needs a friend, Tony says there's enough room in the Tower, Steve needs a running buddy, Hulk really likes puppies, Nat wants to train him with Russian commands (Clint no, he's blind you can't train him in sign language), Thor is fascinated by Earth Fauna.
Foggy, Karen and Claire haven't spoken to Matt in a while but when they realises Matt's missing, missing person flyers all over New York. (And collectively freaking out because Matt was not in an emotionally healthy state at the end of season two).
Frank notices and starts patrolling his territory. Criminals quickly start moving out of Hell's Kitchen.

Matt is 3000% done with magic (he's 99% sure this is Loki's doing) and damn it he just wants to go home and sleep.

The Avengers aren't taking any of his hints;
- Parkouring everywhere "Oh he's been trick trained!"
- Typing "I'm Daredevil" onto someone's laptop *they close the word document without looking*
- Pointing to the missing persons picture of a newspaper "Aww, you want to play fetch?" *rolls up Newspaper and throw it*
- Barking in Morse Code. Bruce starts to get suspicious but decides its his imagination.
- "For a blind dog he gets around very well."

This goes on for a couple months until one day he wakes up and not a dog. Confusion ensues.

Alternatively; Same concept but Peter Parker, Frank or the Agents of SHIELD adopt him.

Personally, I see Matt as a Mahogany/Red Belgian Malinois (super athletic, kickass police dog) but I don't mind other breeds. :)

There are prompts exploring Matt's possible younger half siblings through Maggie, but what if JACK had another kid? (Before his marriage, maybe a one-night stand, but whatever its from, Jack never knew)

And now, after all these years, this older half-sibling finally finds out who their father is and tracks down Matt.

Up to the author for Matt's reaction, and timeline (Season 1, between 1 & 2, etc), what sort of life this sibling has lead, etc.

Bonus points: if the half sibling is tied to SHIELD or the Avengers, or even the police, OR they are a crook and they might have gotten smacked around by Daredevil recently....

Frank/Matt, Soulmates

Frank and Matt are soulmates. Frank knows, but Matt does not. +this is in part because Frank doesn't know DD is blind. He is 100% positive that DD saw their matching soul marks. +Frank doesn't even believe in soulmates (like yeah its a fact that everyone is born with a mark, but that doesn't mean you'll automatically have unconditional love for the random stranger who happens to have an identical mark) ++lots of misunderstandings

In the 2004 Punisher movie, Frank was a finger twitch away from committing suicide.

Does the MCU Frank even contemplate it? And if he does, what (or who) stops him?

Probably. When he first wakes up it isnt a consideration because his entire world has been pared down. Survive, find them, kill them, keep moving,
But after he's revenged his family and decided that rebuilding a normal life isnt an option, yeah, once he's finished that head of steam and he cant shake the bone-deep weariness... He might consider walking into a mob family reunion with an explosive vest on, pr just putting a gun in his mouth and getting it over with without the charade

(So basically yes, the same idea as the movie but with shoddier english usage)

Daredevil has worked for Fisk all along ala Captain America Hydra mess

Matt/Any, Foggy/Any, Matt/Foggy - Thinking of Foggy during sex

Now, Matt & Foggy are bros. Super close bros. Borderline "something more" bros.

I bet you anything they have had sex in the same room. Or maybe in adjacent rooms.

So lets say, the both of them get lucky at a party or on a double-date, or just something that ends up with them having sex close to each other. Maybe they were on a double date with twins. Maybe they're hooking up in the same frat. Whatever it is, they're about to have sexy consensual sex with someone else.

But Matt's thinking of Foggy. He's thinking of Foggy under him, of Foggy kissing him, of Foggy's hands around his dick and even how Foggy would sound asking for Matt to fuck him.

Naturally, Matt feels guilty and wants to be good for his partner, but really he just wants to be with his best friend right there. It doesn't help that he can hear Foggy (either across the room or just down the hall) with his partner.

Bonus: Matt doesn't say Foggy's name but its a close thing.

Bonus 2: The next day Matt is reminded of all the ways someone else had Foggy the night before and, shit, how Foggy is getting dinner with them tomorrow...

There’s a bad guy who’s either really observant or an empath/telepath. While dealing with Daredevil (or even Matt as a meddling civilian), they figure out that he has been hiding his feelings for Foggy. They proceed to use that against him, taunting him with it, trying to get him emotional enough or distracted enough to make a mistake.


Bonus: whatever they say hits Matt right where it hurts.

Double bonus: Foggy's around somewhere. Possibly in hearing distance.

This gist of it is a straight guy keeps getting upset when his gay roommate brings guys home or sleeps with/kisses other guys. At first, he thinks it's some latent homophobia. Eventually, he figures out it's because he's in love with his roommate and was getting jealous of all those other guys the roommate was sleeping with instead of him.

"Plot twist: it turns out I don’t have any problem with [roommate] kissing guys if it’s me he’s kissing."

If this doesn't have Matt and Foggy written all over it, I don't know what does.

Some nigh all-powerful jackass decides he wants to play a game. He snatches champions and heroes from across the worlds and pits them against each other in combat. He also snatches a hostage who the hero would do anything for, just to make sure they comply.

Daredevil, champion of Hell’s Kitchen, gets pulled into the game. And the hostage he has to fight for is Foggy.


Bonus for Foggy freaking out at Matt having to put his life on the line for him.

Double bonus for any other pairs from the MCU/comics also getting stuck in the game. Hell, even from DC, if you like.

Foggy gains intense, amazing magical powers. Only he's not a fighter, man. He's more of a liability in the field than a help. He knows he's not completely incompetent in a panic or chaotic situation but he's not going to effectively get against his enemies and he's still out of shape.

So he stays practicing law. It's so anticlimatic that people are surprised when he's able to adequately show his power.

The Yakuza vs Daredevil

So everyone assume that the Hand was the Yakuza because they were Japanese, which is clearly wrong for many reasons. Now that the Hand's main leader, Nobu, is gone the actual Yakuza appears and starts to infiltrate the criminal elements of Hell's Kitchen.

When rumors of the Yakuza reach Matt he thinks of the most logical conclusion, the Hand is back. Cue very confused Matt when he doesn't find people being bled out or heartless ninjas. Just the usual criminal scum (with heartbeats and no magical powers/elements to their group).

People are quite surprised when Daredevil is basically uttering "Don't worry, it's JUST the Yakuza." because it's the fracking Yakuza!

Matt/Foggy-Pet Play

Alright, so let me go into detail here.

I don't just want kinky pet play. Well, I want it, but I don't want it to be the only thing there. What I'm asking for is a slow burn. Matt asking Foggy about "owning him", they talk about it, negotiate.

Matt clearly doesn't want it to be just sexual. Matt is stressed, he's been through trauma, he needs to blow off steam. This is how he wants to do it. To be "owned" and to not have to worry about having to take care of others. To be lavished and taken care of like a spoiled pet a few hours of everyday with his best friend. It starts out as just as friend helping another friend, then it becomes a romantic relationship.

He makes it very clear to Foggy when they first talk about, and low and behold, Foggy gets him a nice custom collar a week later, and they start to test the waters.

Bonus points for toys such as leashes, animal ears (preferably not kitten, that's a bit overdone), and tailplugs, etc.

More bonus points for rules like Matt having to ask to sit on the couch or on Foggy's lap, and he has to kneel until he's invited on, only eating when told, etc.

And even more if the tag on Matt's collar says "Matty".

Frank is the son of one of the most powerful gangsters in New York, Matt is the lawyer/consigliere of his father.
They met when they were kids, Matt have been living on the streets after he ran away from the orphanage, Frank takes Matt to his home and demands his parents that they allow him to stay.
Frank decides to not follow his father's footsteps and joins the military, Matt on the other hand becomes his lawyer and consigliere.
Years pass and Frank gets married and has Lisa and Frank jr.
His family is accidentally killed when they try to murder his father, as his father is in critical condition, Frank becomes the head of the family and Matt his consigliere, Frank is driven by revenge for his family and decides to end with all the other mob families, Matt will stand by his side no matter what as he has been in love with Frank since they were kids.

Frank/Karen AU - Frank is the cop who arrests Karen after she shoots Wesley

Frank Castle is the cop who arrives on the scene less than a minute after Karen shot Wesley, and he catches her trying to erase her fingerprints and flee the scene with the murder weapon, so he arrests her. Maybe he sort of half-believes her claims it was self defence (even though it doesn’t *look* like that at first glance, the man in the suit sitting calmly in a chair, seven bullets in his chest, the woman grim and quiet in the back of his car, and he recognises her, wasn’t she accused of murder before?) but he figures that the evidence will sort things out.

(I'd love to read about this part.. and/or if you feel like making it longer, maybe Fisk railroads the case and she ends up on trial, and Frank visits her? first because he feels guilty but later just because… well. Because he just wants to visit her, OK? (Shut up fellow cops Matt and Foggy)

Or. Thinking about this some more... Maybe he's listening to her quiet panic attack when she's cuffed in the back of his patrol car. 'He's gonna kill me, Fisk is going to kill me' she keeps saying. And Frank knows done of his colleagues aren't clean. Knows she's probably right. That she isn't safe in a jail cell, not at all.

So he lets her go. Doesn't call in the arrest.

A few weeks later she's waiting for him in his morning coffee place to ask him about the case. She's still on the run from Fisk, and he finds himself helping her. They meet more often, and not always because she needs help, sometimes just to chat. Frank's actually helping a known killer to stay out of jail, and even worse, he might be kind of falling for her. (Fuck his life)

What if he thinks it's a test? He's 11-12, freshly abandoned, desperate to please. He thinks they want him to navigate without a cane and read type books and follow movies without description because they're considering training him and don't want 'all that accessibility shit' slowing them down. He lost one opportunity by being too needy and difficult, like hell he's losing another.

I mean obviously it's all purposeful, no one could make such a basic fuckup, right?

For reasons Matt assumes various superhero aliases. He somehow manages to actually keep them in order. People all think he actually is different people. Matt just assumes people (cops and supers) are playing along because he doesn't actually look that differently in each costume. For God's sake, he is basically in the same "Man in the Mask" outfit but nope he's considered different heroes.

Possibly going entirely the wrong direction, but I'm picturing a series of sitcom circumstances ending with him accidentally becoming the whole defenders squad.

Factory accidentally sends him yellow masks? "There's a new guy who punches like a freight train! Shit must be magic"
Matt: "that sounds like the drug dealers I busted. But surely even if my mask was different they'd know me"

He has to rush out to stop crime in a 50s headscarf/sunglasses combo he took from an unattended purse: "She broke Vinni'e arm with one hand. no normal woman has that strength, Jessica Jones must be fighting street crime!"
Matt: "That can't be me, Foggy and Elektra both say I'm terrible in drag- oh, that's a disturbing amount of detail about my ass. That's where witnesses were looking. Gross, never wearing those jeans again"

He rubs dirt on his face in a last ditch effort to hide his identity (in very low visibility conditions): "He was huge! And Strong! ! I think he was black. Not sure, my glasses were all foggy from the rain andbroke when I was pushed to the ground and kicked in the head, but here's my concussed, confused statement reported as absolute fact with lots of speculation on whether Luke Cage is working in Harlem and Hell's Kitchen

Matt... That was camofluage paint, not blackface! It was washing off as I fought! My hands weren't -forget it. Apparently I don't have to bother with a disguise because no one else can see for shit either

Foggy, the villain

Foggy becomes some superhero's or super's Arch Nemesis. Foggy doesn't actually know he's the super nemesis, from his point of view he's actually helping thwart a bad guy (because of course this super is all secretive on their agenda like Matt was).

Just shenanigans really with Daredevil, maybe, stalking in the foyer.

I'm sorry but like. I read this and got the mental image of the super Foggy keeps thwarting being a 9-year-old boy who lives in the apartment a few doors down, who Foggy occasionally babysits.

And the thwarting that Foggy is doing is actually saying stuff like 'no playing superhero until you're finished with your homework' or insisting that the kid takes off his rubber-glove gauntlets, towel cape, and swimming goggles before he eats dinner, or moving the pillow-pile on the bedroom floor because they are not enough to stop you from breaking a bone when you jump off that dresser, Billy, no you won't fly, I don't care if you saw Scarlet Witch do it on the news! And so now there's this little kid who hisses and glares at Foggy whenever he sees him, much to the mortification of his mother.

Which is not at all what you were thinking, dear OP, but made me laugh never the less.
