Matt gets possessed (implied Matt/Foggy)

Matt gets possessed by something or someone. He's locked in his own head, but maybe sometimes he can resist it.

To keep Matt from fighting for control, it uses threats against Foggy, the person Matt is closest to in this world, as a safeguard for good behavior. But it wants to hurt Matt, too. So to throw both Matt and Foggy off it starts getting up in Foggy's space, implying (revealing) all sorts of things.


- The possession doesn't have to be an extended affair, maybe it only lasts a day or two, or maybe it's a lot longer.

- Would rather that it fall short of physically assaulting Foggy, though getting waaaaaay too close is fair game. (Maybe because it knows that if it DID hurt Foggy then that would be game over. Doing so would push Matt so far that he would kill himself just to take it down.)

- Foggy has *no idea* how much the thing says is true. For all he knows, it could be lying just to torture him because it picked up on his feelings for Matt.

Daredevil: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.

[Spoilers for Agents of Shield and CA:TWS in this post]

Thought up a little something today, there’s a lot of Daredevil + Avengers so why not Daredevil + AOS?

During the Battle of New York Matt puts on a mask and helps out. He doesn’t fight right alongside the Avengers, tending to stick to areas they miss but he takes out several Chitauri and saves several lives, to the point some survivors want him to be celebrated alongside the Avengers but no one knows who he is.
He can’t completely avoid the Avengers though. He catches the eye of one the super spies (Natasha or Clint) and even ends up teaming up for a few minutes on several occasions throughout the fight.
Near the end of the battle and Matt is seriously wounded (explosion? Hit by Chitauri weapon? Temporarily deafened?). Rather than a hospital, he’s taken back to S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters and treated. Of course, they quickly realise he’s enhanced and because of that, they can’t let him go completely. After much arguing and lawyering Matt ‘agrees’ (is blackmailed) to work with them and they keep tabs on him over the years.
The events of Daredevil season one continue as normal.
Fast track to now. Daisy’s forming a new superhuman team and Daredevil will make a very nice addition.

Things to note:
- Matt probably started Daredeviling sometime after Winter Soldier, after the disintegration of SHIELD. His check-ins haven’t been receiving replies and Matt is honestly relieved since maybe now SHIELD is off his back. However he’s freaking out because his files may now be public access and who knows who has them. (He’s searched for them, he couldn’t find anything. SHIELD files have been quickly disappearing off the internet but you can never completely erase something from the web).
- I figured this would have to be post HYDRA Ward reveal because Matt would be able to tell Ward’s lies
- Possibility of Matt and Daisy having met at St. Agnes Orphanage (“Mary Sue Poots? I haven’t heard from you in years.”
“Matt Murdock?”)
- Could be SHIELD put some type of tracking device on Matt. They might even know about Daredevil and helped keep the police off his back (because let’s face it, Matt’s not great at hiding his identity)
- Of course Matt helping out the team is a reluctant part time thing. He’s still a lawyer
- Matt can totally tell FitzSimmons should be together
- Foggy approves of Matt having a team that okay, may not be as cool as the Avengers but still pretty dang cool
- Karen or Foggy or Claire inexplicably knowing all the SHIELD agents in their civilian identities. Claire knows Phil from being friends with the cellist. Lance is Foggy’s cousin thrice removed. Karen does tai chi with May

Dear lord, these are getting more meta every time. XD

Were you thinking of a version of the slave!Matts where they've already met each other and then they find these documents where the others' backstories are written down for some reason in a novel-format (which Ipad!Matt would likely react to with 'Dear God THIS IS WHY HE IS/THEY ARE SO FUCKED UP') (and *then* he'd likely realize that if *he* is currently reading someone's backstory, someone else is probably reading *his*, and Foggy would find him contemplating jumping off a rooftop)

Other reactions of his would likely include a lot of nausea, pity and then fury at whoever did this to the other Matts - who have all been treated much worse than him, and in most cases were enslaved while still children. (Maybe there'd be a small wave of relief that *he* at least wasn't collared until 18, and that this is likely why he stayed mostly sane in comparison, and then he'd be angry at himself and everything else, because he shouldn't be *relieved* about this, not even being enslaved for a *day* is right, and *none* of them deserve what happened to them.

specific reactions...

- he'd smile at the very cute, very young Foggy from the snuff!bait fill. He only ever met his Foggy when they were both in their early twenties, and this is his equivalent of looking at adorkable baby pictures. In between the cringing pity, he'd also likely feel some sort of strange pride at the young Matt from that fill, who's still so proud and headstrong.

- he'd likely read with the fascination other people reserve for trainwrecks and picture books of best-of-ER snapshots through the story of the Opposite-of-Snuff-bait-Matt. There'd be a lot of 'fuck, shit, no wonder nothing he said made sense' (and a sense of niggling worry, which would likely lead him to asking 'Uh, Stark, in case you buy me, you're *not* planning on selling me to Bucky Barnes, are you...?') and a lot of wincing at the stuff this Foggy goes through because of it. His (confused) Foggy would very probably receive a proxy-hug from Matt after, because he can't give it to the other Foggy, but maybe it transmits, somehow. He might understand this Matt a little bit better in retrospect (but he would still like to beat him over the head with some Thurgood Marshall).

- the Matt/Frank fill with a feral!Matt would likely leave him both involuntarily laughing, because Castle in trouble with the Avengers is funny, but also make him feel even worse than the other two, because he prides himself a *lot* on his intellect and words Foggy always let him use, and reading a version of yourself that has lost both parts of this would be very, very painful

- the med-fet humiliation story would probably induce the greatest confusion and horror, because in the other fics, it's at least only ever Matt himself (if anyone at all) who views the world through some sort of sideshow mirror (Ipad!Matt does not like what this apparently says about the grasp of Matt Murdock on sanity in general), but in this one, *everyone* seems to be convinced that a healthy human adult needs to be chastised like a pet or a child for lacking a sense of self-preservation instead of being sat down and talked to until they understand what is sane and what isn't...

(and *then* he would likely remember the last time he went out with two ribs still bruised and how that had landed him a week of being Officially Ordered to stay home at night, and only after begging he had been allowed to at least do some recon and intimidation for the week after, as long as he didn't get into actual fights, and feel a bit awkward.) Still. He and Foggy had talked like adults about this, and this was what was important. The mere idea that Foggy would order him to strip in front of other people, lock him in the cage for real, or, worse, order him around in front of *Karen*, or the idea of in fact *Karen* giving him an order - nope. At this point, Matt would likely be burning so hard with humiliation that Foggy would wonder whether the entire office has just gotten warmer or something.)

And Matt would then be ready to put the laptop away and maybe go and be sick somewhere he doesn't have to smell it after, or maybe head to Josie's and drink himself into oblivion, or, just, beat up every single criminal in all of New York, when - oh yeah. There's one last story.

- yeeeeeeah. (Spoiler: He wouldn't take it too well.) He'd probably keep reaching for his neck, just to be sure there *isn't* some sort of extra-humiliating collar around it, sit on the couch while listening to the screenreader like Prince Awkward of Awkwardia, and constantly try and reassure himself that no, he isn't plugged up, Foggy wouldn't ever do this to him (unless Matt wanted to) he is never, ever, EVER going to belong the Ranshakov brothers, mostly because one of them lost their head in a car door and the other died after telling Matt to suck his dick, which is a course of action Ipad!Matt infinitely prefers to what usually happens in this fic whenever one of them tells this Matt to. (He would also be so, so glad the Ranshakov brothers in this world only ever met him as the Man in the Mask and would never have suspected him to be a slave in a million years.)

Afterwards, Foggy would likely find Matt groaning, lying on the couch, one hand dangling down while grabbing the laptop, one hand slung over his face and looking like he's just been through the court session from hell. Asking might get him handed the laptop, and some sort of comment about 'fucking wizards' and then Matt generally looking like the world is too heavy (again) and he is not enough to fight everything he wants to (again). If Foggy actually read the stories then, too (with Matt getting pretty good at determining whether he is at a horrible or at a porny part, depending) he'd likely offer a 'oh. hell,' to Matt, getting a 'you can say that again' in reply.

"But, you know what?"

"Huh?"

"In nearly all of those...'fics'. We're a team."

"Not all of those. There's the one with Castle. And the, uh, the....other one." If Matt could see, he'd now steadfastly refuse to look at Foggy.

"Hm-hmm. And in those, you're pretty...um. well."

"Fucked? In all senses of the word?" If Matt's voice was any flatter, it would be in 2D.

"Kinda, yeah," Foggy winces. "But I'm also thinking, if there's a Foggy in those worlds...he's probably pretty lonely. Or flunked out of law school. Or lost his soul at Landman and Zach."

"...you think?"

"Yeah. I mean, if he were a cool guy in those worlds, he'd be a character in those backstories, right?"

"...right." Matt sounds doubtful. (Foggy not being a cool character? the idea does not compute.)

"So *I'm* saying that all those stories *mean* is that we belong together. Anywhere."

"Hnh." Matt grunts, only half-convinced, and is then gently bunched around and manhandled until Foggy is with him on the couch, putting an arm around his shoulders.

"Yup. Totally. Because *you* -" and there's a kiss on his forehead - "are perfect for me. I love you."

Matt sighs, some tension melting. "Love you, too."

"That's right," Foggy says, contentedly shuffling them into a more comfortable position. "So what do you say we simply stop thinking of all our doppelgangers and focus more on ourselves. You know, we could -" he moves his hips a little and Matt gasps, for a moment actually forgetting what he just read. Until...


"Uhm. Foggy?"

"Yeah?"

"You realize, if we just read their stories, there's a good chance someone is reading *this* story. Right now."

"...fuck."

Slave!Matt/Foggy, Matt's the dom

So...inspired by the lovely fill a while back where Matt and Foggy have as much of any consensual relationship as they can have, and they like to roleplay master/slave, even though Matt's a real slave.

Here, I'd like something similar--except Matt's the dom in that roleplay, the one who plays a nice, but strict owner, who calls Foggy a good boy and puts a comfortable collar and leash on him and puts him in a cage with a vibrator up his ass to work him up, who feeds him treats and sits back with Foggy kneeling at his feet, head pillowed on his thigh, who maybe if Foggy's not been quite so obedient smacks him a bit on the ass and then soothes him when the punishment's over, calling Foggy his precious perfect little treasure and kissing his collar, attaching the leash to his nipples and cock-ring and locked-in ass pear, manhandling him and showing his size.

Foggy/Matt - Cute fluff or H/C

My inbox is full of sad things lately. I'd like to prompt anything with Matt/Foggy being cute dorks or chasing the sads away.

Hell's Kitchen protects Foggy as much as Daredevil

In a world of superheroes and supervillains, privacy is a tentative concept. Once the citizens put two and two together and come up with Blind Lawyer Vigilante, they start protecting him, as so many prompts before me have posited. The problem is, they may be protecting Matt, but Foggy is still fair game. After one too many encounters where Daredevil has to rescue "Foggy" or otherwise says Foggy's name at an inopportune moment, the citizens realize that the other half of Nelson & Murdock may need some protection, too.

So they fabricate another superhero. One named Foggy, who can create darkness or conjure up a fog or maybe whispers orders in Daredevil's ear to explain why he knows things happening in other rooms (because who would guess super hearing?). They start reporting about this other hero or hero's handler to police and to bad guys. They describe this superhero in ways that obviously don't look or sound like Foggy Nelson. Slowly but surely, nobody but the locals in the know make the connection, because what sort of superhero would be stupid enough to use their real name as their hero name, after all? So Foggy can't possibly be Foggy Nelson, any more than Daredevil could possibly be a blind guy.

Foggy finds it hysterical. Matt can't help but worry that it will backfire. Karen just wants to pop some popcorn and watch events unfold.

Hell's Kitchen Sitcom

I enjoyed the prompt about Daredevil becoming a musical, what about one where everything's turned into a sitcom, complete with obnoxious laugh track, catchy theme song and live studio audience?

And Matt can sense the audience why can't anyone see them?? The office is missing a wall, THEY'RE RIGHT THERE, Foggy no, that joke was terrible, everybody stop laughing! Karen, no, now's not the time to make coffee, audience stop 'awwwwing'! Why is he the only one unaffected by this???
And they're still there when he goes out Daredeviling. The 'oohs' and 'ouches' are extremely distracting when he's beating up thugs and the soundtrack isn't helping.

If anyone's seen the Supernatural episode 'Changing channels' you'll know what I mean.

I'd love it is this is some sort of spell gone wrong or something (hahaha, maybe Matt complained at some point how his life is a damn soap opera, and some cosmic being heard him and went 'oh REALLY...?' and then he wakes up one morning (to cooing, obvs, and strangled whispers of 'OMG, so cute') and it only gets worse from there. Maybe he can enlist Dr. Strange or Scarlet witch to help, because this is untenable...

The foretold time has come. The Chaste needs Matt Murdock to get his ass over to them right now to do - whatever it is that they need him to do.

Unfortunately, Matt doesn’t feel like cooperating. He has no desire to work with the Chaste and he refuses to leave Hell's Kitchen.

So the Chaste kidnaps Foggy to lure Matt out to them.

Bad Luck Curse

After fighting some magic based villain, Matt gets cursed with bad luck. And has a really shitty day (week?).

It's all small harmless things at first; Matt steps in gum, trips on a crack in the footpath, loses his keys, all the organic grocery stores are closed, he breaks his cane or cracks his glasses, his Braille typewriter acts up, the printer explodes when he touches it, his door handle breaks off, he forgets his keys, their next client shows up late and they have to stay back after hours, there's construction right outside their building etc.

Everything slowly gets worse (he honest to god falls down a manhole) to the point Foggy and Claire are begging Matt not to go Daredeviling because he could slip on a roof tile and die or something. He goes out anyway and almost gets crushed by a piano like he's a cartoon character.

It can be all minor nuisances at first that escalates into actually life-threatening events by the end of the week? Or just stick to harmless mild annoyances.

+ Bonus points for Matt visiting Doctor Strange for help and really dreading it because Doctor Strange's house just gives him the creeps (and who knows what could happen to him in there, he could be sent to hell or get trapped in another dimension for all he knows).

When Foggy gets his first job at a psychiatric hospital he is assigned to look after a patient named Matt, who has been at the facility since he was a young child, when the orphanage couldn't cope with his problems.

Foggy is intrigued by Matt, and sets out to help him.

Daredevil is actually a big teddy-bear

When the Avengers first start working alongside of Daredevil, he's totally grim-dark, grr I hate fun, let's punch evil in the throat... Basically, he's the Grumpy Cat of the NYC masked superhero set.

Until there are kids involved--then he's completely gentle and is totally protective of them and interacts with them like he wasn't just beating the some bad guy's face in or threatening to dislocate limbs 2 seconds ago. Because, come on, growing up in an orphanage, Matt totally knows how to be around little kids (and more than likely acted as a bodyguard of sorts for them back at St. Agnes...).

Cue the Avengers going "Where is OUR Daredevil? OMG, he's laughing and SMILING!! Is this a sign of the apocalypse??" (And Tony is off searching for the pod...)

OR Matt comes into work and Foggy's like, "What the hell was with raiding that liquor store last night?" and Matt as to explain that it wasn't him, it was a kid in a red latex bodysuit with some Halloween devil horns after Foggy describes the outfit.

That is a brilliant prompt and you should feel brilliant. Maybe it starts out with harmless kids, but then there's someone doing something that actually hurts people and Matt gets a chance to lay down the hurt on them and go 'ANYONE ELSE WANNA RUN AROUND IN MY COSTUME?!' and get everyone to back off again. Foggy still has a best-of scrap album of pics of DD imitators and takes great delight in describing them to Matt occasionally.

Through whatever means (magic, deities, weird alien whatever) the statue slowly comes to life the more he showers it with affection and kisses. Matthew the statue is blind because he used to be stone.

oh yeah, that sounds wonderfully dream-like. Maybe Foggy got commissioned to make a statue of Lucifer, (cause, y'know, the most beautiful 'n all) but then somehow couldn't get it...devilish enough? It was beautiful all right, but it somehow looked more...sad, or righteous than evil? Foggy tries and tries, but he can't get the impression quite right. In a sleep-deprived attempt late last night, he kisses the statue because he'd like it to cheer up so much. Then he's a bit horrified, because he just kissed what he's trying to shape into the literal Devil, and goes to bed to pull the blanket over his head.

But the next morning, the statue somehow seems to be smiling a little.

Matt/Foggy, Pygmalian Au PART TWO!!!

George Bernard Shaw's play Pygmalion is the base of lots of classic movies, such as My Fair Lady, She's All That, and The DUFF.

Does the very hunky Matt Murdock bet he can turn total dork Foggy Nelson in to Prom King/Class President/Head of the Student Council/etc.

OMG, yes! Totally here for that, especially for that second scenario - Matt got into a VERY high class High school because of his grades and a scholarship, but his social skills are abyssimal, he doesn't do much more than study and work out in the gym, he lives with NUNS...and he has a constant refrain of 'oh man, if only he was a peer' following him down the halls, because DAMN boy, those looks.

Maybe Foggy, who might be the heir to Rosalind's money (and title?) but *still* is sometimes the butt of jokes, gets dared to make something of Matt/take him to some dinner? Maybe Foggy does it at first just to spite Rosalind but soon there's ~feelings~?

All my firstborns if Matt does have his powers, maybe is already getting some fighting on on the side, and Foggy is extra-despairing because now his beau has a *shiner*, how are we gonna cover up that?!

+100000 if there's a powers reveal and Matt is the greatest asset ever in a world of intrigue, because he can pick up on all the whispered conversations no one else was meant to hear and no one ever suspects the blind guy. And once Foggy's made him come out of his shell a bit, he can be *viciously* charming...

slavery AU: Karen owns Matt

There have been a lot of interesting slave prompts and fills lately, but I haven't seen this particular scenario yet and I suddenly really want to: Karen owns Matt.

Maybe Karen's family runs a slave auction house and she picks Matt out of an intake lot when they're both kids. Maybe she finds a runaway slave huddling in her apartment building stairwell when she moves to NYC, and when the authorities track his ID implant, she talks them into letting her buy his contract instead of putting him down. Maybe she gets him as part of her settlement from Union Allied. Maybe Matt flunks a yearly 'can this disabled person live on their own?' test (because of Daredevilling injuries or whatever) and Foggy can't/won't be his owner (too worried it would fuck up their friendship, or maybe it's illegal to own your business partner) so Karen offers to be his owner either forever or until next year's test.

The details are not the important part here. The important part is the focus on how Karen and Matt negotiate some kind of functional relationship within the constraints of the inherently fucked-up scenario where she literally owns him.

This could be shippy or not, and can involve other characters or not, as you please. The only thing I ask is that if you end up shipping Matt with one of those other characters (Foggy, Claire, whoever), you also include Karen in the mix.

...aaaaanyway! So. What about, AU. Karen works for Union allied and gets Matt as part of her settlement. Matt is actually a lawyer, but has also been trying to somehow bring the firm who owns him down ever since he overheard the shady dealings going on. It's partially through some wriggling that he manages to get given to the rebel employee who tried the same. (maybe they ran into each other at work briefly before? Maybe that's why Karen asked for him?). Maybe Foggy, who is trying to strike out on his own and took on Karen's case only did so after getting an anonynous email to look into so-and-so. (Matt got into SO much trouble for that, though before they punished him they thankfully never found out what he was doing on the computer after hours). And he didn't even know whether this new law firm was also in Union allied's pocket or not, he could only hope.)

But anyway. Karen now has a new job as a secretary, working for a harried, but hard-working lawyer, "Foggy" Nelson. They could really use someone else to help out in the office. Um, say, Foggy, I've got this uh, slave, and he just *happens* to be a lawyer...

- I'd love it if Karen was still trying to take down Union allied, and Matt is torn on whether he trusts her enough to tell her about his powers and offer to help her that way

- all the weird office dynamics with one boss who's your friend, one lawyer who's your slave, and NONE of them knowing where they stand with each other

- does Karen find out before Foggy does or not? She might.

OOOOORRRR we go the 'flunked can-live-by-himself-test' route. I always wanted to see how that one played out, when you were previously equals. And yup, I like the idea that Foggy can't buy him because they're business partners, that could actually work so well. I'd especially like it if it was doubly awkward because we're at a stage where Foggy knows about DD, but Karen doesn't. If he can continue to live on his own, only formally belonging to her, will he still try to keep it a secret, or is Foggy going to be very firm that, since he is now also endangering *karen* with his illegal activities, he WILL tell her, NOW...?

The two start sleeping together. There is really no difference their routines save that it provides sex. Matt sees their dinners together, chilling at their apartments, and sex as a couple thing. Foggy sees it as hanging out with his best bud. Bros with benefits. After all it's pretty much the same.

Cue misunderstandings and potential heart ache if Foggy starts dating someone. (Matt never thought Foggy as a cheater. Clearly something is wrong.)

Went way overboard with the heart ache but think about how this would affect the reveal that Matt's the man in the mask. Matt's feeling so damned betrayed after Foggy leaves, but he knows it can only be his fault, he should've said something, he should've asked Foggy if they were really together. It was so stupid to not question their relationship. If there's anything he's learned, it's that Stick really was right, soft things - as wonderful as they are - only hurt in the end.
And then on Foggy's side there's just so much confusion, because God, did he ever know Matt at all? And the reveal of Matt being the man in the mask and the reveal that Matt thought they were together get twisted up together. Foggy's pissed that Matt kept being a vigilante from him, and that unfortunately bleeds into his feelings about Matt thinking they were dating. He's just so mad he doesn't think, like what the fuck Matt, what's wrong with you? And he doesn't mean it, it just pops into his head. The problem is, Foggy walks away. He can't stay, he can't stand to look at Matt and know that he really never knew his best friend to begin with.
But Matt, Matt takes it as being completely rejected, once and for all. It drives in that idea that everyone's going to leave him. And this time it was all Matt's fault. If he hadn't been so stupid, maybe Foggy would've stayed.

Involuntary Incognito (matt/foggy)

Foggy (or Franklin) has had a rough couple of months. After a car accident scrambled his brains a little bit, he finds himself unable to remember anything about his past.

With no family or friends on record, all he's got left is a tiny apartment in a miniscule town somewhere in Upstate New York and a job at the hardware store that pays the rent. And, weirdly, an encyclopedic memory for Thurgood Marshall quotes.

The corporate guys in suits who are paying his hospital bills (and isn't that shady) are very regretful when they say that his memories of his life before may never come back.

But while he's trying to piece together his life (he didn't even have a *Facebook* account, geez), a new complication walks in the door. A very blind, very intense, very hot complication who calls himself Matt Murdock.

Mr Murdock, who may also be...stalking him? Foggy/Franklin might be a little paranoid after everything, admittedly, but it really looks like the hot blind guy is stalking him. And trying to start strange conversations that go nowhere. And is just being really weird.

And then Murdock finally tells him a story he can’t believe - about the Nelson brood, Columbia, heightened senses. About Nelson and Murdock. About an accident that wasn’t an accident.

So who does Foggy/Franklin believe?



TL;DR - Bad Guy decides to disappear Foggy Nelson by giving him amnesia and stashing him in a random small town until they needed him for something. Matt hunts Foggy down and then doesn't know what to do with himself once he finds him.



+100 if Foggy jumps to the conclusion that Matt is hitting on him.

+1000 if Foggy caps one of Matt's favorite sayings/quotes automatically and Matt has Feels.

+10000 if Matt either lets or almost lets Foggy kiss him at some point. And then is horribly Conflicted because he has Feels but it's not Right because Foggy doesn't Remember and wouldn't have Chosen Matt if he did.
