Shameless fluff. Playing board games with Matt and Foggy is the *worst*, because they'll get into legal debates. Tenancy law for Monopoly. demanding proper procedure and an attorney when accused in Clue. They're not above making a case for animal cruelty in snakes and ladders. Everyone else is *so* done with it, and the two of them can't stop laughing.

Marci absolutely, staunchly, putting-her-foot-down refusing to join in, no matter how much Foggy tries to wheedle her into it. She will not be drawn into this ridiculousness, thank you. And honestly, she just wants to have her turn and finish the goddamn game.

(But deep down on the inside, she loves it, maybe?)

Foggy + Matt friendship, or Foggy/Matt; Foggy has borderline personality disorder

It's often Matt that's portrayed as super needy and stubbornly independent but I am terrible trash who wants Foggy to suffer emotionally and be super bad at dealing. Back me up here guys, this is a thing that can happen? I'm not even sure but I wants it.

Foggy who just shuts down when things get intense and channels anger or sarcasm to cover what he just can't process. Who keeps going and doesn't let himself think and fires insults like bullets when he's vulnerable and hurting - the 'I felt sorry for you' line? And his 'commitment issues' ala Marci? And the one thing that Foggy was sure about, the one thing that he could finally count on, that he knew to be true was that Matt actually needed him - it was the only thing that got him through some pretty bad nights. Matt needed him as much as he needed Matt, they were stable. I mean, Foggy's followed his idealistic ass from school to making a firm together, using Matt's courage to pull him out of L&Z before they were swallowed up. But Matt always turned to him, always wanted him there. Matt would never leave first (poor fucked up Matty). And then Matt's revelation about his senses, about DD? Knocks something out in Foggy's foundation, makes something crumble and he looks around and he doesn't know who he is or what he's doing and he apparently never knew Matt at all.

And his coping mechanisms? Are shit? He has no one to talk to about this and his almost-but-no-it's-not-that-bad-seriously just a few drinks takes a sharp curve into something that feels too much like 'just keep going, just keep going,' and it's every night and Matt doesn't even notice.

And of course he can't talk to Matt cause Matt's actually worse about all of this emotional shit and besides, Matt never needed Foggy, never trusted Foggy to tell him the truth. This is Foggy's to deal with alone. He's fine. They're fine. Everything's fine.


Is this a thing that can happen? I can't get out of my own head enough to get inside Foggy's and see if it could work but I read 'all our yesteryears' earlier and this desire just hit me, full force. Yes, no, maybe so? Someone come talk to me about this headcanon, I NEED IT.

AAAAAAH! Yes!

Not sure if I would say he could have borderline personality disorder, but I always headcanon Foggy as being as fucked up if not more fucked up than Matt, and we just haven't seen it yet. Based on what we've seen and what's said about him (Marci's "afraid of commitment" comment, his drinking, his insults to her and his offer to drink with Karen, his singing Gilbert and Sullivan late in the office) I definitely think that there's room for a "Something is a bit off about Foggy" headcanon, for sure.

In fact, I'm pretty much already writing one that's a WIP about him and his birth mom, or I'd take this one on. I hope someone picks this one up and runs with it though!

Matt can't be Daredevil, he can see!

Matt got sick of the special treatment really fast, well-meaning or condescending, so he fakes being sighted whenever possible (deliberately buys a wonky typewriter so he can feel letters? something?) This obviously doesn't work all the time, so x number times someone actually figured out that Matt is blind, y times Matt told someone, and one time someone drew a parallel to the claims-to-be-blind vigilante Daredevil.

Matt/Foggy rentboy/Stripper AU, Foggy is Matt's pimp

Either Matt is working as a stripper/callboy to pay his way through college/law school, or it's a full-blown AU where he somehow ended up in that career for other reasons. He still has his powers and fights crime in his spare time, so he could logically fend off any of his clients if they became dangerous, but of course he'd vastly prefer if he didn't have to reveal his senses, so he has the more common security measure of a pimp/agency in place.

Only his agency/pimp really, really sucks.

Guess who maybe is there at the right time in the right place and helps out when things go wrong? And is then surprisingly good at the whole logistics/security check-up call thing?

+10000 for both of them of course have secret pining levels of over 9000 while Foggy is still hiring out Matt's body.

Someone please, please, please give me terrible patient Claire. I'm home sick with a cold (plus migraine, plus hives, plus, plus, plus) and yesterday I had the following conversation with my boss.

Him: You don't look great. Are you still running a fever? (Because I had called in earlier in the week with a temp of 102.)
Me: Who knows? I'm on so many pain killers for the body aches that I can't exactly tell.
Him: Oh. I'm so glad you're here then. (implied sarcasm, but I did stay for my shift)

Just, give me a Claire who knows better, she really does, but she's only mostly incapacitated, so she goes into work anyway.

BONUS: If Matt is the one telling her, "Ehh...this is probably not a great idea." Because Matt is terrible at recognizing great ideas when it comes to personal health and safety.

So in verse someone makes a Daredevil comic. Several people actually try.

Some are super bad. Other's are super good.

Most people don't know shit about DD so buy them/get them online.

The most famous one is with DD with a Punisher like past and personality.

Matt is completely oblivious to it because when was the last time he searched out a comics, a visual medium? Then Foggy sees one. Hilarity ensures.

When the two are discussing the idea of Nelson and Murdock, Matt said it sounded like they're getting married. What if Foggy suggested it. Then they go through with it. Because well "taxes"! Not, you know the love they feel for one another.

+After Nelson v. Murdock Foggy states that they're (no not getting a divorce, stop (looking like you're about to) cry(ing) Matt) moving in together. They're married and clearly they need to work on that.

Alpha!Frank/Omega!Matt - smut

Just gimme some good, old-fashioned, filthy ABO smut with Frank topping the hell out of Matt and knotting him, and each of them being totally overwhelmed by the other.

I don't care what the circumstances are. I don't care if it's an established relationship or not. I don't care if there's even a semblance of a plot.

The only things that really matter are:

1. That they're both as in-character as possible.

2. That it's entirely consensual.

3. That there's no use of epithets in place of the characters names if they already know each other. Dear lord, anything but that!

Agents Murdock & Page AU

Instead of Stick, Matt ends up being found and helped by S.H.I.E.L.D., who then recruit him. He becomes an extremely respected agent who is known for always capturing instead of killing when he can, which is why when still relatively young he gets sent on a mission in Vermont who deal with a young woman who is working for someone more evil, with permission to kill her, but, like Clint Barton before him, he makes a different call. Karen soon becomes as badass an agent as all the women of S.H.I.E.L.D. are.
After the events of Winter Soldier leave Matt and Karen at odds, Matt decides he wants to go to law school, and when Coulson shows up to recruit them into the new S.H.I.E.L.D., though Karen goes back to the Playground with him, they agree that Matt will be a pair of figurative eyes out in the world and help out on missions from Hell's Kitchen in return for help getting the legal career started. Although since he's on the Index, Karen ends up becoming his official supervisor and so visits him a lot.
For their first mission together, they somehow end up rescuing Foggy.

+Matt ends up starting the vigilante thing with Coulson's authorization.
++He and Karen have what they insist is strictly a colleagues with benefits arrangement(she probably even forms another on at the Playground), and invite Foggy in. He's the first to realize after it goes on longer than expected they're in denial about both each other and him(or maybe he initially thinks it's just about each other and angsts)
+++Karen because of her close relationship with Matt being sympathetic to Skye/Daisy and the Inhumans and wanting to help them, and enlisting Matt in that effort. Also her playing vital roles in some of the other events of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s second and third season.

My first thought was cool. Then this meme since I was looking at it beforehand. So let's assume this kind doesn't have bugs and all. My first thought was Foggy would totally get this for Matt (If Matt didn't get it first) because he's a BFF.

Just anything with these elements.

Alpha Foggy/Omega Matt trying to start a family

Matt & Foggy have been bonded since Columbia and are trying desperately for a baby, and once a month Matt chemically induces his heat.

The two weeks while they wait to find out if Matt is pregnant are heaven for Foggy, because Matt doesn't go out as Daredevil, and is safely snuggled up on the sofa every night. Matt is always utterly convinced that this time it will work, this time he will finally be pregnant, and he is looking forward to hearing the baby's heartbeat for the first time.

Then, as always, Matt isn't pregnant, and he is devastated. He goes out every night until he can induce his heat again and takes his anger out on the criminals of Hell's Kitchen, getting increasingly more reckless with every passing month. Matt is absolutely distraught, and Foggy is going out of his mind with worry that he is going to get himself killed.

Foggy's a big guy right? And some people can be horrible about those who are bigger sizes.
I would love to read something like, in reaction to a very horrible person saying something to him about his weight, everyone just shows how much they love him, either with his weight or inconsequential to his weight. Like maybe a smarmy rich lawyer makes a remark about keeping up or Marci's new boyfriend makes a dig or just someone says something whilst he's eating food.

I just need everyone fighting Foggy's corner, not that he needs them to but anyway, and even Marci getting involved, just so he knows that whether he cares about the comments or not, they all love the shit out of him, bigger size and all. They will kick skulls and crack ass of everyone who says anything bad about Foggy’s weight.

I have no idea how loss prevention works at a hospital. Maybe you can take the small stuff the same way you'd pocket highlighters and postit notes from your office job. But when writers (fans and official canon writers alike) just assume that nurses just casually have crash carts, oxygen tanks, full sets of surgical equipment, and a pharmacy's worth of drugs that they took from the hospital, I call shenanigans.

He looks/sounds/acts like Foggy, but Matt knows this is an imposter. Fake-Foggy smells different, his heartbeat is different, but Matt has no idea how to find out where the real Foggy went to.

Bonus: DD tries to beat the information out of Fake-Foggy, but can't because hearing Fake-Foggy yelp in pain is just as bad as hearing the real Foggy.

... If we're going with pod people from The Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Foggy is dead. :( The pod's take the original's from while the original's is unconscious, and in the process destroy the original.

Matt/Foggy, pretending to be a sex slave for totally logical undercover reasons

Matt has to pretend to be Foggy's sex slave. Lustful feelings result!

Possible reasons?

- It's a world where sex slaves are somewhat common but still illegal so Matt talks Foggy into going along with this so that they can infiltrate a sex slave ring ("Look, Fog, just come to the auction and buy me with the money I took off of that druglord I beat up!" "I AM UNCOMFORTABLE WITH EVERY PART OF THAT SENTENCE.").
- Marci gets invited to a Fisk benefit and invites Foggy as her plus one, Matt tags along as an uninvited plus one's plus one and has to justify his presence.
- Sex slaves are legal (although Matt and Foggy are both opposed to the practice) but they go hand in hand with a lot of things that aren't (kidnapping into slavery, drug trafficking, etc.) so Matt needs Foggy to help him sneak into some slave-heavy venue that does a lot of shady business on the side.
- Someone sees Matt shirtless and he comes up with a TERRIBLE way to justify his scars.
- Other???

+1 for Matt needing to put on a collar and timidly being all "How does it look?" and then he and Foggy both have to aggressively pretend not to be having pants feelings
+10 for Matt needing to PROVE his status by like attempting to go down on Foggy or whatever in public
+100 for other people manhandling Matt and Foggy getting surprisingly aggressively protective/possessive (and Matt finding it crazy hot)

IDK, just - all the contrived sexy situations of slavefic, but with bonus consent and ridiculously implausible plausible deniability, please!

Foggy has cancer. The odds are bad. The first thing he thinks when he gets the diagnosis is 'oh shit who's going to look out for Matt if i die?'

Then he sees the avengers on the news. They've been working with each other for a while and are family level close. Maybe he reads an interview where they talk about how Steve and Sam motherhen everyone, how they look out for eachother, and how much safer it is to have people there to watch your back.

It's not like he can expect Karen to cluck over Matt all the time when he's injured, or forgets to eat, or gets too tough on himself, or needs a mountain of hugs, or gets overwhelmed. Matt needs all the people looking out for him he can. So Foggy starts project get the avengers to adopt Matt.

Foggy uses great determination to integrate himself into various avenger's lives. It's difficult, but he'll do anything for his friend. There's just one problem. Matt is surprisingly socially incompetent for a lawyer. So even when Foggy guilts him into trying to be friends with the avengers (as matt or daredevil. Whichever you want) 'my dying wish man' 'that's low Foggy. You're not dying' Matt is terrible at it.

Foggy splits his time between cancer treatments and teaching Matt how to make friends and influence people. Matt, getting increasingly shook up over all this, finds his autistic tendencies increasing (even if he doesn't have autism i think his sensory issues would give him similar behaviours : stmming, meltdown, etc), and his stammering habit while nervous starts happening all the time (and possibly develops into some level of mutism if you want to go that far).

This makes socialising even harder.

Ironically it's when things start breaking down for him and he can't put on the fake charm that the avengers start growing attached to him.

As things get worse for Foggy he gets more desperate and he opens up to the avengers about why he befriended them. He spills out a huge list of the dos and don'ts for Matt. 'I know he's independent, but there are a lot of things he needs, and he won't ask for them. He needs like threehugs a day or he starts getting closed off. You have to tell him you love him. And use the words or he won't believe you. He needs quiet sometimes, but he likes someone to sit with him. He won't ask. You need to check he's eating. And I mean check his cupboards and everything. If you ask he'll probably just lie. His jokes are terrible, but laugh at them anyway, it makes him happy.'

Matt doesn't want the avengers as his friends, he just wants Foggy. But he goes along with it because Foggy asked him to. Neither him or the avengers likes eachother at first (though they love Foggy) but as Matt starts losing it, they start seeing the real more vulnerable side of him and form bonds. Matt finds himself liking all the games Clint plays with him, and how Steve and Sam totally parent and motherhen the team, including Matt.

How the reveal goes is up to you. Whether it's Foggy forcing Matt on playdates who the team later find out is daredevil, or Foggy forcing daredevil on playdates who the team later find out is a blind lawyer from hells kitchen.

I'd prefer Foggy to pull through and Matt, him and Karen to get a big caring superhero family out of it, but if you want to go another way, or leave it open that's fine.

Matt and his Collection of Sunglasses

On the rare occasions Matt receives a gift, nine times out of ten it's a new pair of sunglasses. Now that his friend circle has dramatically increased (starts with just Foggy, and eventually includes all the Avengers) he's amassed quite a collection.

- The pair he usually wears were probably a gift from Foggy
- He's gotta have a purple pair from Clint
- I suspect Steve is an aviators guy
- Tony somehow integrates JARVIS into his
- Coulson's are S.H.I.E.L.D. standard issue
- Brett probably gets him Oakleys

Karen gets him huge novelty sunglasses that stick out almost three inches from either side of his head. He keeps'em in his desk drawer at work for days when she's not feeling so happy because he knows they'll make her laugh when she sees him.

After years of friendship Matt and Foggy's first kiss is a joke or a dare. They find out they're soulmates, but something's off.

Sure they're attached at eachother's hips and wouldn't mind hugging eachother more. Platonic kisses are ok, but sex, no.

I want a fic where they're soulmates and want to spend the rest of their lives together, but aren't attracted to eachother. Maybe they move in together, get married. Matt's totally cool giving Foggy a true love kiss when he gets cursed. Foggy's totally cool with stripping themselves down and wrapping Matt in his arms for ten hours straight that time he gets dosed with cuddle pollen. Or whatever details author wants.

At some point when Matt is at law school he ends up in a relationship with an older woman (maybe 35-40-ish) and it eventually becomes a sexual relationship.

One day she comes to their date and drops a thick stack of papers on the table and demands he sign them.

Well, Matt's a law student so he refuses to sign anything he can't read until he has someone he trusts read them to him. (He no longer trusts her since she refuses to tell him what he's signing). Eventually she agrees to let him have someone take a look at them for him.

Cue Foggy reading them to Matt and it turns out that the papers are for voluntary termination of parental rights.

Matt's a (relatively) good Catholic boy and so his first instinct is to ask the woman to marry him since it is his fault she got pregnant. The woman Laughs in his face because she was never interested in him she just wanted the beautiful, smart child she could produce with him (as a status symbol or something).

Where it all goes from there is up to you.

Foggy wears skirts and dresses and skirt suits when at the office/in court. Other than that there's no change. He's not a fetishist he just thinks they're wicked comfortable and he looks good in them.

People sometimes act likes assholes about it but he just blows them off.

If you go the shipping route, Matt buys Foggy a skirt or dress and it's decadently comfortable but he never wears it out of the house because it's absolutely hideous.
