Foggy’s Disastrous Dates

After the thing with Marci runs its course, Foggy starts dating again. But there’s a problem.

Every single one of them is a disaster.

Like, we’re talking go-on-a-date-with-Karen-and-the-building-blows-up kind of disaster. DD may have had to actually get involved in some of them, they went so bad.

Foggy thinks he’s cursed. How can Matt convince Foggy that he's not cursed? How bad do these dates get?



+10 if Foggy's dates are with girls and guys.

+100 if Foggy has date post-mortems with an appropriately sympathetic and supportive Matt and/or Karen.

+1000 if Matt actually wishes HE could be the one going on these dates with Foggy (these people are clearly not treating him right, the building was on fire the last time). But he’s used to being mostly content (if still a little sad) with what he can get.

Car crash. Supervillain attack. The cabbie decides to kidnap Foggy. The date decides to kidnap Foggy. Foggy gets dumped in the river.

After a while, Matt just starts following him on these dates to save time on travel when the inevitable distracted strikes. (And not at all because he's a little jealous of all these crazy people Foggy keeps going out with, nope.)

Matt/Foggy, Matt/?, Crazy Stalker Ex

Matt's crazy stalker ex (Wesley, Vladimir, Fisk?) discovers he's dating Foggy and completely loses his shit. Think: Fatal Attraction, Swimfan, Fear, etc., only so much worse because it's one of the above.

Bonus Points for Matt being repeatedly cornered, threatened and manhandled by his ex.

In 01x04 - In the Blood, Vladimir (speaking Russian) calls Wesley a "Prissy little bitch," and yeah, that kinda struck a cord. So, now I'd really love to read a filthy little tie-in where Vladimir and Anatoly force Wesley to his knees and take turns fucking his mouth, and Wesley just sighs, and takes it like the pro.

+ Vladimir gets a little too rough and Wesley reminds him who's really in control.

Matt, Non-consensual groping

Because he's blind, people are always taking advantage of Matt. Bad guys, random strangers on the subway and busy street, potential clients, are always brushing up against him and coping a feel. And though Matt's gotten used to it over the years, it still really irks him.

Could be a 5 + 1, with '1' person he doesn't mind feeling him up. Or, the '1' time someone takes it too far and he confronts (lashes out at) the person.

Wilson Fisk does not exist

Basically, Fisk is Keyser Soze to James' Verbal Kent.

Fuck yeah, I would love to see this. And he'd never die, since he'd never go after Karen to protect Fisk. On the other hand, I can't see him putting up nearly as good of a fight as Fisk did against Matt.

SHIELD tries to recruit Foggy

Taking a bit of inspiration from the comics…

SHIELD decides they need to start beefing up their legal defenses. They make an offer to Foggy. Matt is not pleased.


+ Bonus if SHIELD had previously made an offer to Matt to join as an agent, but he turned them down.

++ Double bonus if Daisy is somehow behind this because she has ties with Matt from St Agnes.

+++ Triple bonus if Matt and Daisy butt heads over SHIELD taking an interest in Foggy.

Foggy accidentally doms Matt

It doesn’t happen often or purposefully, but every once in awhile when Foggy takes care of him, Matt slips into a headspace where it almost feels like Foggy is domming Matt. It could be little things that trigger it, like Foggy grips the back of Matt’s neck and Matt can't help but melt into it. Or maybe Matt starts leaning his head on Foggy’s shoulder or leg a lot, or he starts actually doing what Foggy says, or he suddenly finds new reasons to bare his throat.


Bonus if it happens more now, like when Foggy takes care of Matt after he gets back from Daredevil-ing, but Matt’s tendency to slip into this headspace with Foggy reaches way back.

Bigger bonus if when Matt snaps out of it he gets very weird, maybe even defensive, and Foggy is so confused because he doesn’t know what’s going on. At first, anyway.

Infinite bonus for Foggy eventually clue-ing in to what's going on with Matt and being very obliging about it.

Matriarchy AU

Daredevil, set in a matriarchy. Would love things like 'Wait, Ms. Page is.. the secretary? To two male lawyers? Well. that's. very modern' (they're imagining that Team Avocado has a weird and kinky sex life and they are 10000% correct). Just stuff about what's considered normal for men & women in this AU (are people surprised Daredevil's male? or not in the least, b/c you know how men are with their irrational behaviour and how they like to punch stuff.)
Bonus points for Matt in lipstick/bitching about shaving his legs.

There's a lot of nuns, even in New York State, who spend time protesting abortion clinics, despite the Pope asking them to tone it down. (There's also nuns who got in trouble with the previous Pope for not protesting abortion ENOUGH). Sister Maggie, who doesn't have a great relationship with Matt, still calls him to bail her out of jail when she gets arrested for unlawful assembly. He has severely mixed feelings on the subject.

+ if Foggy knows and Karen doesn't, and it's from her POV

Seduction as an escape tactic

Daredevil's been captured and unmasked, and Matt's situation is looking pretty dire when he notices the main 'bad guy,' preferably Vladimir or Wesley, exhibiting subtle sighs of attraction towards him, and decides to seduce the 'bad guy' to get him alone and escape.

(I'd prefer Matt act rationally and not slut it up, but use more subtle queues to attract attention, while the 'bad guy' finds (sex by coercion) morally repugnant, and is not easily swayed.)

Vladimir probably wouldnt need seducing unless theres a specific reason why he's holding back (ordered not to, internalized homophobia, etc)

Wesley's the one who finds direct violence 'distateful' (He might be persuaded to leave and watch through the security feed)

Dehumanization via Occam's Razor

So I remember reading a book years& years ago in which a group of human cosmonauts crash-land on an alien planet and due to ~something handwavy~ in the atmosphere their clothes, watches, rocket ship etc. are rotted or disintegrated. THEN they get found by zoologist aliens, who via Occam's Law conclude that they're nonsentient (but very cute, would make good pets) and native to that planet.
Everything they do is seen by animal instinct- one soldier knew how to weave baskets, and they assumed this was a mating display. A woman writes out the alphabet in the dirt and aliens think it's marking territory.
Anyway I just like the idea of a Zoologist Alien's report on Matt, and various assumptions about the human race, & Matt being treated like a not-too-bright pet. Or some kind of Steve Irwin-esque character trying to prove to a gaggle of schoolchildren that actually Matts are very cute and pettable and OH CRIKEY THIS ONE'S GOT TEETH. MAYBE MUZZLE IT NEXT TIME. I could also see Matt being sold to alien!Fisk as an exotic pet and Fisk works out that he'd be *such* a good assassinating tool. You wouldn't suspect a tropical fish of stabbing someone, would you...
Also, one of the women was vivisected, if you want to go down a really dark route.

Matchmaker Fisk

Matt's a dance instructor Fisk goes to so he can impress Vanessa. Maybe, he and Vanessa are getting married and they do private lessons together? Idk. But, Wesley is there, off to the side, observing Matt closely (or maybe Matt has an 'everyone must dance' policy? And Wesley winds up dancing with Matt?)...and Fisk wants him to be happy, as happy as he and Vanessa, so he decides to play matchmaker.

Anatoly & Wesley - Unbound Soulmates

So it turns out, Anatoly and Wesley were unbound soulmates, a fact that doesn't come to light until after Fisk pulverizes Anatoly's head with the vehicle door.

And though Wesley's never held much hope for meeting his soulmate, had he and Anatoly's bond been established, Fisk's little tantrum would have killed him as well...

Wesley reevaluates his loyalty to Fisk and decides to bring down his empire from the inside, using whatever means necessary.

Bonus for a strong secondary relationship: Wesley & Vladimir or Wesley & Matt/Daredevil. Friendship or perhaps, one of them lost their soulmate as well?

Gen: Sick Fic

So I've managed to have a cough for weeks now and today it's turned into the actual cold bit but instead of staying home in my soft bed, I have to drag my sick arse to Uni.

So can I have our favourite characters suffering with me - but maybe getting the comfort and rest I can't?

Matt dragging himself to class when feverish? Foggy with a cough that just won't go away? Fisk being too ill to move and comforted by Vanessa? Karen with a minor cold being double teamed cared for by her boys? I don't care! Just give me sick fic.

Matt Being Frank's Soft Spot Is Common Knowledge

So Frank Castle has a major (for him) soft spot for Matt. Whenever the lawyer is around, Castle is just a microscopic bit less dickish. I want this to be really common knowledge among the hero and villain community. Like, one of the universal truths common. "Sky's blue, water is wet, Frank has a soft spot for Matt." common.

Show me this through Super Circle gossiping.

+10 Matt is the only one who isn't aware.
+20 People who don't know Matt=Daredevil head to N&M just to meet this mystery guy. They decided that he's a cinnamon roll and become protective.
+40 Overprotective Little Brother Spiderman is also well known.
+80 Rumor has it that Frank has been keeping an eye out for some poor guy named 'Stick.' No one knows why, but they do know it has something to do with Matt.
+10,000 Frank is given a shovel talk by someone who assumes Fratt is going on.

Dystopian AU, Matt/Foggy

Dsytopian setting, Fisk is the despot of Hell’s Kitchen. Resources are controlled, there’s a ridiculous amount of crime in the streets, everyone in power is corrupt, and there’s probably a curfew.

And, of course, there’s an underground resistance.

Matt is either a part of the resistance or a lone vigilante who sometimes works with them. Foggy initially has nothing to do with any of it, but eventually he signs on to offer his place as a safe-house where operatives can lie low for a bit before they go on their way.

Matt ends up accepting that offer of hospitality one night. And then another night. And then, to both of their surprise, he keeps coming back.


+100 if Foggy only knows him as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen at first.

+1000 if other characters are also part of the resistance - Karen, Malcolm, Trish, Claire, etc.

+100000 if Foggy ends up targeted as being sympathetic to the underground and gets attacked or abducted.

Foggy's place could be like, a backup location that Matt's directed to cause Claire's place is being watched. Foggy's never actually had an agent crawl through his window before. They told him to have a first aid kit on hand just in case, but he did not expect this (hot, wow) dude who is currently bleeding on his couch.

Karen's been trying to set Foggy up with people, but it hasn't been going well, so she plays her ace in the hole.

Foggy: So what am I in for this time?

Karen: I want to set you up on a blind date for Valentine's Day.

And bless her, she keeps a perfectly straight face when she says it. She practiced it in the mirror.

Extremely Sheltered Matt AU

Was reading a News Article about how this family of seven children lived in a Manhattan Apartment without ever leaving it for 20 something years and got all their information about the outside world from movies.

So what if after Jack's death, Matt's adopted by some super paranoid foster carer (or turns out the orphanage he's sent to is super paranoid or a cult? Or he gets taken in by Stick to do nothing but train until Stick leaves on some mission and never returns?) and Matt's confined to a room or apartment for a good portion of his life because there's too many dangers out there for a poor, orphaned blind kid.

When he finally manages to leave for whatever reason (curiosity joyride/gets discovered and rescued/decides to escape etc.) he understandably has a hard time adjusting to the outside world, especially with his super senses being unable to take it and all of a sudden getting this media fame.

And Nelson and Stahl (and Page) factors into this by deciding to represent Matt.

Rather than being a secretary, maybe Karen's a social worker helping Matt deal with his ADHD-like symptoms and adjusting?

Bonus points for Matt still being able to kick ass. Possibly becoming Daredevil

Foggy makes the choice to get involved in something dangerous. It’s not on the level of beating people up in alleys, but it’s still something that has a good chance of putting him in danger.

Matt hears about it and loses his shit.

(“it’s dangerous, foggy, what the hell were you thinking, you can’t do this, foggy, you’re being reckless, foggy, this is a bad idea and you need to stop, foggy…”)
