Matt comes home covered in other peoples’ blood a few too many times, and Foggy starts to worry about things that Matt himself never considered. A trip to the doctor confirms his fears, and Matt’s first worry is for Foggy and Claire, who he demands get tested immediately.

Angst, hurt/comfort, and Matt's Catholic Guilt™ all encouraged.

Some things to consider:
-Do they tell Karen? Does she already know Matt is DD?
-If Matt and Foggy are already in a romantic relationship, does Matt try to end it for Foggy's safety? (Does Foggy get really really mad at the suggestion?)
-Ooooh what does Matt tell Father Lantom?
-Does Foggy want Matt to stop being Daredevil even more now?

Hi! So, Matt's excuses of "slipped taking out trash" aren't really good ones. It's really natural that seeing him constantly injured, and talking shit like that, Karen would come to a "domestic violence" conclusion.

And there is only one person she could suspect: Foggy...

He doesn't seem like the type, but he's clearly hiding something, angry with Matt more often than not (coincidentally on the days he comes hurt, isn't that curious), and besides, who else is there in Matt's life?

So, what happens next? Karen is not a type for inaction. Does she confront Foggy? Matt? Does she investigate, call some authorities for help? Call Brett, maybe?

Whatever else, please get it to the point when everything comes to the head, and Matt and Foggy find out what their secretary has been thinking for a too long time. Foggy in shock, Matt guilty, fumbling explanations all around, you know the deal.

Whether or not she get's clued in on the secret is up to you.

But lots of points to you if you include Karen having past experience with domestic violence that nobody on the outside saw in time, making her even more emotional and determined about it all, and maybe a little blinded... among all her suspicions, it's Karen's past that gets revealed. What happened all those years ago? Who did shot, and why? Was she protecting herself, or someone else? Did she win that fight?

Hey, maybe she gets a gun on Foggy? Woman does have enough fire in her to do that, for sure.

That would be one hell of a culmination point.

Also, please give me a one-on-one with Karen and Matt at the end of this all, talking about the darker parts of their souls that they would like to keep away from Foggy. As an epilogue, maybe?

Elektra/Matt, fighting turns into sex

Funny thing is that one of the early reviews revealed that in flashbacks Fighting becomes kind of foreplay for Matt and Elektra

Matt/Frank (possibly also /Elektra), undercover in a sex club

So both Daredevil and the Punisher are going after some criminal. Matt knows if Frank gets to the guy first he's gonna kill him, so when he hears that Frank's found a lead on the guy, who's only showing his face anywhere in a high-class BDSM sex club with a hyper-formalized dom/sub thing, he knows he ALSO has to infiltrate it.

So he ends up working with Frank (and, possibly, Elektra) to infiltrate the club, either with Frank as Matt and Elektra's sub or Frank and Matt as Elektra's subs, or either of Frank or Matt as the sub.

Bonuses:

-a scene where someone tries to touch whoever's pretending to be sub, they growl/snarl/look murderous, and whoever's pretending to be the dom has to gently squeeze the scruff of their neck/tug on their leash/pull their hair back a bit *and* deal with the overstepping asshole

-they end up actually having sex/being fingered/giving head in order to ensure that nobody questions their cover

-whoever's the sub being led around in tight black t-shirt, with, possibly, jeans with the holes for easy access cut out + a pretty plug in

What scares the Man Without Fear?

What makes Daredevil scared? What scares Matt Murdock? What causes a lightning fast panic, what brings on a bone deep, despairing dread? Maybe it’s getting boxed-in in a particular way on the street, or the thought of someone coming after Nelson and Murdock when he can’t do anything. Maybe it’s the thought of Foggy walking out the door again and not coming back.

This, definitely. But also Foggy getting hurt because of Matt, Foggy DYING because of Matt. Karen getting hurt. Frank was right in the trailer when he said that Matt's one bad day away from becoming him. It's true: Matt's one bad day when someone he loves is killed away from becoming even worse than Frank and I think that scares the crap out of Matt.

I really want to see an AU fic where Foggy is Fisk's little brother and all the implications of this change to canon. I would love a Matt/Foggy fic but just do what feels right for you. what is Foggy and Fisk's relationship like - is Fisk distant but protective? is he aloof but secretly caring? openly loving and supportive? possessive? How does Foggy feel about his big brother?

i would love any fics that deal with any of the following questions/scenarios and i would ADORE any fics that answer most of them.

+ what was Foggy's childhood like, does he remember what happened to his father/what he was like? Does Fisk tell him a different (more idealised) version of his childhood

+ do Matt and Foggy still meet in college, does Fisk hook them up with Landman and Zach (is this seen as a controlling or loving gesture - both?)
+ what is Fisk and Matt's first meeting like

+ is Matt agonising over how to protect Foggy from his own brother. does he agonise over how to tell Foggy? - does he?
+ what is Foggy's relationship with Wesley or the rest of Fisk's 'friends' (please give me banter with Leland Owlsley...) What is his reaction like to Fisk's relationship with Vanessa.

+ DOES FOGGY ALSO GET POISONED AT THE PARTY - DO MATT AND FISK HAVE A TRUCE WHILE FOGGY IS SICK. (does Matt show up as himself and vows to himself that he will save Foggy from his brother's world - does he suggest this to Fisk)

+ HOW DOES ALL THIS AFFECT FOGGY POST-SEASON - does he want revenge on Matt and leave town with Vanessa, does he still not believe the evidence and defends his brother in court, does he visit Fisk in prison, is he depressed, ect.

Daredevil/Codex Alera fusion

Exactly what it says on the tin.

What sort of fury-craft do the DD characters wield? And what about Matt? Does he come off as a weak fury-crafter, with only one little fury, but only summons some insanely powerful furies of multiple types when he's out devilin' it up? (Fire furies, for sure) Or is he the rare "furyless freak"? (Again, only showing his fury-crafting skills as Daredevil)

Don't care how you do it, just bring these two fandoms together!


For those who don't know what the Codex Alera is: a 6 part series from Jim Butcher. The 1st book is the weakest of the series, but the other 5 more than make up for it. Think of it as a fusion of the Lost Roman Legion, Pokemon, and Avatar: the Last Airbender. It sounds weird, but it is, imho, freakin' awesome! (Butcher wrote the series up on a bet, and boy, did he win.) What are you still doing here?? Go read it! (And tvtropes has pretty good page covering it, if you want background info before reading it--spoilers abound!)

Matt doesn’t have many close friends. Admittedly, there are a number of reasons for this, but the main one is that, like the proverbial duckling, Matt has imprinted on Foggy and no one else is quite right.

Anyone who tries to engage with Murdock for an extended period of time while Foggy's not there soon finds that their conversations are littered with phrases like, “Foggy would have done it like this,” and “Foggy says it doesn't matter,” and “Foggy prefers his pens on the left side of the table. Put it back. Now.”

So how do people deal with it? Is Brett entirely unimpressed? What about Karen? Does Foggy ever find out about it?


+ If it's not even that Foggy is a perfect, sacrosanct angel who can do no wrong. It’s just that he and Matt get along very well and Matt has basically fixated on him.

The last time Matt touched his face, Foggy still had facial hair. When the face-touching topic comes up again (maybe in relation to Karen bringing it up?), Matt finagles his way into coping another feel due to the fact that he's never felt Foggy clean-shaven before. It's almost like he was waiting for an excuse.

Hi everyone!! I read a lot of fics but never about Foggy kind of going out (in their own way) with Daredevil not knowing who he is. It would be nice to read about Matt and DD being absolutely different personalities with only one a thing in common – Foggy. Maybe they would advice to see or talk to 'other guy' more. And poor Foggy doesn't know it's the same person. I'd like to see some smut in all this. ;)

Yes, this.

And just imagine Foggy's reaction if he eventually finds out. Other than being angry about the lies, he would also recall all the advice Matt gave him about Daredevil, and maybe get embarrassed or amused. And also horrified by the fact that he told Matt something embarrassing about Daredevil, like his ass looks nice in leather or something.

And meanwhile Matt is a little shit and is making subtle jokes about it and mentally giggling at how ridiculous the whole situation is. But also feels guilty for lying and wishes to tell the truth. But is scared and it's never the right time. And maybe he makes a mistake once and acts too much like Daredevil while being 'Matt'. Which Foggy notices and it makes him suspicious.

Jack doesn't die. He uses his brain just like he taught matty. He works with the FBI, or a rival gang, or other boxers who've been screwed over, and mobguy goes down instead. Jack's in the clear with the mob, but he's traveling to fights all the time. Maybe he puts Matt in a special school. Maybe he's just inattentive. Stick still gets his mitts on Matt. Jack finds out what kind of "teaching" his boy is getting. The insults, the cruelty, the broken bones. And Jack lets the devil out.

So, based on the current round robin the Matt who was kept as the Ranshakov's fuckpet has been rescued by the Punisher and given to Foggy after he killed the Ranshakovs as the first step in cleaning up Hell's Kitchen.

I want to know what happens after that, what sort of situation is Foggy in - is he still at Landmann and Zach, set up alone or with Marci or someone else?

And how is Foggy helping Golubushka heal?

Or can he even help Matt heal? Can Matt even heal at all? Matt was so attached to his owners, would rather have died than be apart from them. I think Matt would rather kill himself than go on without the Ranskahovs, because no matter how fucked up their relationship was, they were the best thing that happened to him since his dad died. And if Matt doesn't want to move on, doesn't want to try to heal and get out of his life, then it's a really messed up question of morality to Foggy and maybe Frank, because do they keep him alive even though he's suffering, or do they let him die and be at peace?

Father Lantom's acting skills are put to the test

Number of past prompts dealing with criminals believing that Daredevil truly is THE Devil. A lot of them run to church, seeking refuge, trying to keep their souls from being booted to Hell, and Fr Lantom is the lucky guy to shield them...

So, what kind of act does the Father have to put on to 'protect' these wayward souls from eternal damnation? How extreme does he get? Hell, what's Matt's initial reaction to the whole "Out foul demon!" act, and are there times that Matt enjoys cranking the act up to 11?

I've seen stuff like this from Matt's and the crook's PoV, but I want to see this from Father Lantom's PoV and have him break out those acting skills he hasn't used too much since high school drama club...

And Father Lantom needs more love...

Foggy Nelson - funny, friendly, irrepressibly charming Foggy Nelson - is the Kingpin of Crime, and Matt Murdock is his pet assassin, Murderdock-style. When Foggy can't buy or scheme or bully his way around someone, Matt takes care of them - and as a reward, Foggy takes care of Matt, ifyaknowwhatImean.

I'd love to know everything about this universe - if they still met in school, if they're still lawyers, if there's anyone out there opposing them - but mostly I want Matt climbing in Foggy's window still reeking of blood and getting rewarded with a good hard fucking. ;)

crook Foggy prompts always make me think of the scene in the bar where Foggy points out to Karen that he knows all these scary-looking guys, and what's up with their families, and and how he's helped them or trying to help them. Because community building Foggy!!! But it's so easy to twist that into Foggy the Fixer, who was supposed to be a butcher but he's so much better at charming and coordinating and geeently leaning on people and holding the debts of this rough area gingerly in his hands. But someone has to do the bloody stuff.

A few generations ago, maybe back in Europe, maybe after they came over, one of Matt's ancestors promised the males of the line to some supernatural creature (Irish fae, christian devil, Supernatural style crossroads demon, native american spirit? take your pick)
The men receive the power they need to defend their family in a way that's best suited to them (e.g. a boxer gets extra stamina and strength, a more scholarly type gets extra compelling)
but there's always something bad mixed in, because the creature wants to see some mayhem. Anger issues, narcissim.
Usually the demon comes to them in their teens, but when Matt goes blind they come early and give Matt his supernatural senses. To go with it he gets possessive/territorrial.

However, since JAck wasn't alive to teach him, Matt mostly fumbles his way through the whole possibly a demon thing.

When he meets Foggy, Matt can't help but put a supernatural mark on him that keep some demons away, but also makes the weirdest people take an interest in him. After all it isn't every day that a Murdock actually makes a claim like that.

+ Stick is actually the demon/some agent sent to help Matt harness his power
++ Obviously there are also other supernatural beings afoot, and the Daredevil becomes something of a go to guy for those. Matt Murdock is also the lawyer to go to with those unusual issues (i.e. ghost infestations).
+++ the mark has unexpected side effects (dealer's choice)

I don't know how, but Jack is literally watching over Matt after his death. It doesn't matter how. Maybe he was chilling in heaven when an angel shows up with the idea. Or maybe he is a ghost following Matt around. You choose.

But the point is that he watches Matt. He finds out about Matt's super senses. Watches him train with Stick, study law and open his own firm. Become a vigilante.

What does he think of all of this? Is he proud? Is he shocked? Is he sad because Matt is using violence, just like him? Does he like Foggy and Karen? Does he hate Stick?

+ If he is impressed by Matt's parkouring and martial arts. And the spin kicks.
++If, when Jack gets bored, he makes comments or jokes about whatever Matt is doing or saying at the moment.
+++ If at some point Matt meets the Avengers, and Jack thinks they should invite him to their team already.
++++++++ If they eventually get to talk a little, and Jack tells him how proud he is.

Frank/Foggy + Matt being guilty/angsty

For whatever reason, Frank and Foggy start hooking up. Maybe they meet because of Daredevil, maybe Frank is following him to find out who DD is and they end up in a bar ... doesn't matter. They're fucking and they're both super into it.

What matters is Foggy now has a secret to keep from Matt and ... he likes it. He's not *lying* about it (just like Matt wasn't lying about being the Devil of Hell's Kitchen, amirite?), but he makes a point to shower and change his clothes before seeing Matt, and doesn't talk about Frank.

Matt can tell Foggy's fucking someone--he can always tell when Foggy was fucking someone, especially because Foggy never bothered to try to hide it, but now he IS. But if Matt pushes or tries to use his senses to figure out what's going on, he'll break the fragile truce between him and Foggy. So he angsts and stews and maybe he hits criminals a little harder than he would normally while Foggy is getting his brains sucked out of his dick by Frank. (Possibly while the latter is still bloody from kicking the shit out of some criminals. Foggy *might* have a type, but he'd never admit it to Matt.)

I would prefer it not end up Foggy/Matt, and no Foggy blatantly using Frank as a Matt stand-in. Pining is A-OK though. And Matt!guilt. SO. MUCH. GUILT.
