In an alternate universe in which Foggy is an artist he creates a statue so handsome and lifelike that he falls in love with it. Through whatever means (magic, deities, weird alien whatever) the statue slowly comes to life the more he showers it with affection and kisses. Matthew the statue is blind because he used to be stone.
