    2. All comments must be anon. If you would like to be politely banned to avoid anon-failing, leave a logged-in comment on the mod post or pm the mod account.

    3. Subject lines should only be changed if you're posting a prompt or a fill (indicators like OP or Author!Anon should go in the body of the comment).

    1. All types of prompts are welcome.

    3. Warnings are nice, but not mandatory. Get DW Blocker if there's anything you really don't want to see.

    2. Announce your fill on either the Completed Fills Post or the WIP Post.

    3. Long fills can either be posted over multiple comments, or posted on AO3 and linked back here.

    4. Multiple fills are always okay.

    5. Fills can be anything! Fic, art and vids are all welcome.

    6. If it wasn't written specifically for the prompt, it doesn't count as a fill. You are welcome to provide a link to already existing fic that does fit the prompt, in case the prompter hasn't seen it, but it doesn't count as a fill.

"Foggy? Is Matt not coming into the office today?"

"*I* don't know! He said he'd be in half an hour later, because he's *busy* argueing with people on the internet!"

(This is what Foggy says. What Foggy doesn't say, is that apparently Matt is also planning some otherworld-invasion, and why can't *he* have the usual slave-ownership problems, which are generally something along the lines of 'My slave keeps trying to escape' and/or 'my slave only cringes and doesn't smile enough' and this just isn't *fair*.)

(Although, he at least has to admit that neither of those two problems were ever an issue with Matt. But now when Matt is coming in suspiciously late *again* (and likely looking guilty about it, as he usually does) *Karen* will probably assume again that Foggy punished him or some such bullshit, and what has Foggy done in his former life to deserve this.)

Dear god...the sheer amount of ruthless, vicious deconstruction of the others...

And oh lord, at some point, Fixed/Saved Matt comments on iPad Matt's argument for getting off the guy who beat his slave in public like 'See, you can understand how the world ought to work, it's just that you can't quite believe it yet, and this is some lovely rhetoric' and then there's the longest angry screed as a reply about how he didn't believe a goddamn word of it, it was just for the fucking exam, don't you dare

They'd be like six velociraptors trying to share a tent with only one sleeping bag

Well, I'd say Opposite and Starkpad have the most velociraptor-potential. little!Matt maybe if he's in his adult headspace, though he seems a bit calmer than the other two. Trouble likely only if he's provoked. The kid version would be scared, and the pet version would try to...soothe the other pet, maybe?

Little!Matt is a bit calmer, yeah. Having the space and time to regularly experience a more happy/calm/not-angry emotional palette is pretty theraputic, and he's been through enough brain-bending abusive relationships (however brief some of them were) that he can form logical rebuttals to some of the crazy.

He'd probably leave reviews about how Fixed/Saved needs to more objectively analyze Foggy's actual behavior rather than just assume the worst, and about how the poor kid needs to be a bit more of an explicit communicator, because his Foggy really does not know him well enough yet to accurately guess his emotions and thoughts.

That, and possibly end up adding on bits about good grilled cheese recipes to try. Because all of them deserve good grilled cheeses.

"Excuse m - this was TERRIBLE rhetoric! I was basically argueing that about 15 percent of the population are apparently born without *brains*, of course a slave is able to understand what is right and wrong without someone *telling* us!" *deep breaths at keyboard* "And besides, it made ME angry, and it made *Foggy* queasy, and now I have protectionists *accosting* me on campus! CONGRATULATING me!" *head against screen* "One of them invited me to his damn pro-slavery student political party." *muffled scream*

"Matt? You alright?"

"...err. yes. Yes, Foggy, I'm fine."

"Uh-huh. Liar. What are you reading?"

"Nothing!"

"Can I see the nothing?"

"NO!"

(because if I let you read it, half of it is going to be crazy Imperious' reviews, most of which go on why I'm insane to go out and beat up free people, and how I should tell you about my senses, because you apparently 'deserve to have them at your disposal', all of which I'm VERY keen on you not finding out, thank-you-very-much.)

"...right."

Matt pulls himself away from the computer unwillingly, facing his owner. (Imperious McCrazypants is going to read this, too. He'll likely catch another earful for that.) "Sorry, Foggy," he says meekly. "I, um. Did you need something?"

Foggy lifts his hands, fingers splayed. "No, no, you have a right to privacy. Just, uh, make sure you're not going to...develop an internet addiction, alright?"

Matt's lips twitch. "I'm sure I won't. The internet, as far as I've found, just seems to be full of crazy people."

"Damn straight," Foggy mutters, tone utterly serious, until they both burst out into laughter and Matt lets himself be dragged away for a stroll down to the fast food joint. While they walk, he also internally composes an argument of why the other's latest attempt of venturing out with a hidden collar - tell Foggy about it, he'll love it! - was the right way to go, and how maybe next time he should attempt to take it off altogether, just for a minute, maybe, and thinks about typing that up when Foggy is asleep.

(the reviews for the other stories - with the Ranskhovs' brothers version, he is so far gone he would even welcome a showing-up of the Punisher in that fic - and the kid version, who is doing alright, but *really* needs to start up studying, and the...pet version, who, yes, definitely should let himself be freed, will also have to go up at some point. Maybe he can type them up between cases...)

You're quite correct, the free people accosting you are a problem, Matt types on his bed. And you ought to take the sort of tactic the other Matt--the working pet one--told me about, very firmly establishing that this was Foggy's decision, not yours. The longer you hide your status, the longer you keep up being this facsimile of a person, the longer you lie to everyone, including yourself and Foggy, your owner, the worse the fallout will be. Stop lying now, and you might survive the wreckage.

Now, of course slaves possess brains, we're anatomically mostly similar to people. Some slaves don't have toes or ovaries or genitalia or vocal cords or tongues, but of course those are externally removed. But you were right in that we don't have any sense of right versus wrong--and why on earth should we? Morality is for people. You should know this by now. That slave should not have stolen food because it's inappropriate. That's all that ought to factor into that decision.

At least you're soothing your Foggy, as is your job. Focus more on making him happy and at least you'll be doing some things right
, he finishes for the night, and stops to flex his hands.

"Long argument?" Foggy asks from his bed.

Matt freezes. He hadn't meant to catch Foggy's attention.

"It's cool, Matt, it just sounds like you're typing like Anna does when she argues with people on recipe blogs. Someone is wrong on the internet?"

"Some slaves are idiots," Matt mutters, and flexes his neck. He wants to go train and work out the rest of his irritation, and then he'll come back and give the snuff-bait some tips on how to re-learn Braille faster. Matt didn't lose it for very long, but he did briefly, and he's decided that anything that will make the snuff-bait go up in value is worth encouraging. $750 was an insult to all of them.

"May I--"

"Yep, see you in the morning," Foggy says cheerfully, and Matt gets his clothes to do, thinking vindictively about how he'd learned to stop caring about ethics and other for-people-only things when he was twelve and a half. He'd been smarter than this insolent idiot even then, and at that time he'd still wanted to backchat free people sometimes.

"It was technically good rhetoric - you just find the premises emotionally repulsive. As does your Foggy, so that isn't a problem.

"If the protectionists are too stupid to understand that you are capable of arguing a point you don't believe you could always give them the counters to your argument - I'm sure you came up with some better than your opponent had.

"Although maybe I misunderstood the basis of your argument - I thought you were arguing that 15% of the population had been so badly traumatised that they'd lost the concept of right and wrong, not that they'd never learned it in the first place."

And then when this Matt tries to tell him that he should let Danny buy him...

"Two years working at a place where I have to fight for every last scrap of respect, if I get any at all, where I've got no immediate back-up and I'm seen as a whim of the absentee CEO. And then...do you know how high a bar it is for a former pet to prove he's capable of living free? Especially a former working pet with as many issues as I have?

"Pepper Potts managed it because she was basically running Tony Stark's life for him. Discards made into house-slaves have the time to actually complete the therapy needed to get themselves to the point where they don't need a master to remind them of basic self-care. I work as a lawyer and I'm part of the Defenders, even if I gave up being Daredevil for solo patrols and such. Which I am not going to do."
