This post is for prompts involving characters from Netflix's Daredevil.

Now that The Defenders prompt post is live, all crossovers between anyone in the four individual shows should go over there. Prompts only including characters that appear in Daredevil should still go here.

Just that. Stick mourns Elektra. He was a huge asshole, but he did kill one of the Chaste just to keep Elektra alive, so I don't believe he didn't care.
(This doesn't mean what he did to Elektra or Matt is justified or anything. I just want him to mourn.)

Leverage crossover

Foggy blinked. Then he blinked again. The woman sitting cross-legged on Matts counter is still there. "Uhh. What-"

"We're orphan siblings," the woman tells him helpfully.

"We were in Saint Agnes together," Matt translates.

Anything with this, really. I have some ideas, but I want to see yours.

"Man Without Fear" is a 5 chapters series featuring Matt in the hospital after and his recovery process.

Foggy prepares defence for Matt

This is pretty much the whole prompt: Foggy secretly prepares Matts case, for when he will inevitably get caught and prosecuted. Unlike Matt, Foggy likes to be prepared.

It's your decision whether Matt or anyone else (eventually) finds out.

Feel free to infuse this with as much angst and intensity on Foggys behalf as you please :)

Gen, please? I feel like a pairing would change dynamics here, especially Foggy/Matt. But I'll take anything.




PS. I would love it if it was written by an actual lawyer, with actual law. But anyone will be great. Here's two tibits of real law I found out:

1. There is no conflict of interest in defending a friend in court. As a friend you want the same thing as a defender (to get your friend off the hook), so it's completely legal and Foggy can do it.

2. The minimum punishment for involuntary manslaughter (which Matt definitely did, it's basically "any cause of death", so Nobu at the VERY least) in New York is FIFTEEN YEARS (fuck).

The police would never know about Nobu, though! And I think even in other cases it would be hard to prove beyond reasonable doubt that Matt did it 👀 (not being Daredevil per se, but his responsibility for specific criminals' deaths/injuries, especially for deaths where there would probably be no witnesses).

I'm not a lawyer so I don't think I would be able to write this, but I'd love to see it filled!
(Btw, if you'd like to read Matt under trial written by an actual lawyer, you should check out ceterisparibus' Ella series on Ao3. The trial part (everything really, but the trial!!!) Is GREAT.)

Foggy's huge secret

Foggy gulped down more alcohol. He looked straight ahead, unable to face... well, unable to face a lot of things. "Matt. There's something I need to tell you."



– So on last page there was a prompt about Matt having one more secret, and we got some amazing fills. And that had me thinking: what if Foggy had a huge secret? What would it be?

Aside from "I'm secretly in love with you" and "I secretly have cancer" – what are your ideas?

MINI-FILL: Soldiers in the midnight

"Why did you do it? Doesn't it feel wrong to you? You just... don't care about their lives?" Red delivers that last line with an air of surprise and incomprehenshion, like a lost child. It's fucking pitiful.

"Don't need your preaching, choir boy. Those scumbags out there..."

Red is already shaking his head.

"No. I'm not talking about now. I understand now, I know why. But... before." He paces the roof, agitated. "You were happy. Normal. And you still signed up to kill. Why do it? Why be a soldier when you don't have to?"

It takes Frank a moment to realise that Red equates "soldier" to "murderer". He clenches his jaw. But before he can utter anything other than 'How DARE you...' Red croaches beside him, looking somewhere into the ether.

"When I killed..."

And that definitely gets Franks attention.




- this was actually the original prompt, but when I read through it it flet like I was taking up too much room for others' creativity. And somewhere along the way it became a story of its own, if left on a cliffhanger. I like it. Hope you guys like it too.

Foggy prays for Matt

It shouldn't have happened.
Matt shouldn't fucking be in the ICU, his life hanging by a thread. A very fine thread.
It wasn't even because of Daredevil, and Foggy is irrationally angry about it. His best friend goes out every night with a mask to beat dangerous men up, Foggy fought with him about it not being safe, and of course Matt managed to almost die for something completely unrelated.
Well, maybe not completely. He still did it to save a life—just in the light of day this time.
It all happened so fast. Foggy barely noticed the ball rolling onto the road, didn't see the kid running after it until it was too late. He froze, unable to do anything that wasn't waiting for the tragedy or some miracle.
Matt didn't.
He jumped into the road, using his ninja reflexes to push the kid out of the way of the incoming truck. But he wasn't so lucky to avoid it as well.
His best friend once more proved to be a hero, and all he got in exchange was being hit by a truck—again.
So now Matt's fighting for his life in a hospital bed, and all Foggy can do is pray Matt's God to not let him die.
He's never been much of a believer, not like Matt, but Matt can't pray now. Foggy will just have to do it for him.
Please, God. Please save Matt. Please let him be okay, because... The city needs him, Foggy thinks, but that’s not why he's praying for the first time in ten years. I need him.
Foggy keeps his eyes closed and his hands joined, and doesn't let himself think of anything that's not a desperate prayer for his best friend.

Foggy is a malevolent spirit

Inspired by the Ghost of Hell's Kitchen prompt above, and how hilariously unfit for an excorcist Foggy is:

Foggy is a malevolent spirit cheerfully sowing chaos and division on Hell's Kitchen streets like the best poltergeist to ever be. I imagine it as a chaotic "neutral" that oscillates between chaotic good and chaotic evil based on days of the week and general whatever.

Feel free to introduce whatever characters you want to interact with him :)

Fill, part 1: Foggy is a malevolent spirit

"It was a prank."

Wow, James was pisses. Back ram-rod straight, attitude polite and professional, which really didn't promise a happy immediate future.

Foggy smiled disarmingly. "Sorry. I didn't think it would take, honest." He did. "You know I only play in my sandbox."

Westley narrowed his eyes. Foggy continued his smiling.

"Don't repeat that mistake. I have to clean up your mess now."

He turned around in a way that made you think of a swishing cape and walked away like a furious Dr. Faustus, angry that he didn't get his poodle.

Still professional and polite. Ups.

Matt is disabled in new and awful ways

So, I know we have a general "I'm still blind" consensus in fandom. And a lot of people find the "world on fire" cop-out by the writers stupid and annoying. Of which I am one. (World on fire would still make him legally blind, btw, so Foggys "No, no manner!" was asshole bullshit.)

But, in my headcanon, hightened senses are also a disability.

It was a nice party. It was a nice party, and Matt wouldn't say that about many parties, which meant that it was A LOT nice or he was A LOT drunk. He smiled to himself.

No, that wasn't it. He was drunk, yes, which had a double effect of making him loose and happy and making him lost, senses all over the place and the world buzzing like a looming void.

But the buzz was pretty low, and he was surrounded by familiar voices. There were people milling about. Foggy was in front of him, trying to chat up Marci for cases. A few paces away Brett was making disgusted noises at the memory of Foggy flirting. In the corner, Karen and Claire were giggling together. Life was good.

"Did you have sex with him?" Karen suddenly asked.

Matt strightened up in his chair. Surely they didn't mean--

"God, no," Claire laughed, which was a bit rude. "Don't get me wrong, I think he's sweet -- when he's not running away from surgeries -- Matt, if you're listening to this, I think you're sweet--" Claire knew him too well. "--but I have enough of your bodily fluids in work, don't need them in pleasure."

Matt flushed a little. He should probably stop listening to that.

Claire wasn't done talking, though. She turned to Karen easily. "You?" Fuck.

"Me?" Karen leaned against her chair, looking up. Matt could feel the smile tugging at her lip. "Oh, no. Found another woman in his bed before I could."

"That sounds like Matt."

Matt frowned. Did it? "Does it?"

He could feel Claire shrug. "A little bit. He's all over the place, isn't he?"

"Yes."

Okay, that was fair. Matt was in the middle of considering whether 'drunk in public' was a good time for introspection, when--

"What about the other one? Foggy, right? He's sweet." Matt choked on his beer.

Oh. Oh, no. He stood frantically. Karen was considering.

"Foggy, hm..."

Matt had a lot of crosses to bear - none of which made him a martyr, Clair, thank you - and some of those were ridiculously sensitive skin, overactive imagination, and being surrounded by, well, these people. He did NOT want his subconscious to catch onto the idea of Karen and Claire fucking Foggy.

He walked towards Foggy determindedly and gripped his arm like a lifeline. "Hey, Matty, what--"

"Karen and Claire are discussing your ass," Matt informed him.

"What?!"

And, okay, Foggy did make cute yelping noises.

"They like it. You should sleep with them."

"What?!"

Matt nodded to himself, considering his public service done. Foggy's sex shouldn't be public, though. "Not where I can hear it," he clarified. "That'd be distracting."

For all eternity.

"Matty, you're drunk, I think you're confused about who missed their calling to be the underwear model in our office--"

"You're way bigger catch than I am. Claire and Karen agree, so you're outvoted."

He pulled him towards the exit decisively. "Come."

Wesley/Matt gets kinda serious

So, there's quite a few fics and prompts about Wesley coercing Matt into sex through blackmail. I want THAT, except this time, Wesely gets lost in his own game. Neither of them considered - the longer you play on both sides of the field, the harder it is to remember which team you're on.

Things go from manipulative (on both ends) and cold to vulnerable and angry, to inappropriately tender...

and a not-so-safe refuge in the storm.

Hi OP! You might want to check the alcohol enema prompt fill on the previous page to get a taste of Matt/Wesley. It doesn't fill your prompt, exactly (it's just a scene), but it could fit it well.

About your prompt, though: does Wesley absolutely have to blackmail Matt? Or could Matt approach Wesley to get info on Fisk (and maybe Wesley knows that but lets him in close to play the same game).
Just workshopping ideas to see what could work.

I don't even know, I just want to read about Matt lactating. Maybe he's weirded out by the fact he can lactate for some reason (side effect of the same chemicals that blinded him? Something else entirely?), maybe he actually likes the feeling?
Maybe it's some kind of spell that made his body lactate and he has to deal with it?
Maybe he can come from someone only sucking his milking nipples?

Daredevil vs police violence and crimes

So, we all know that police isn't what it's supposed to be in USA. The show pretends that's it's because "they are in Fisks pocket", police acts in criminal ways because they can (and are racist). They have been reffered to as "the biggest gang in America".

So, I would like to see how Daredevil react to that gang. In the comics, we get to see a lot of Matt Murdock, Esquire fighting on behalf of police brutality victims in courts. But what about when it's actually happening? Just about every situation in USA is safer _without_ police in it, so what does Matt do when they arrive? How does he react to them opening fire on shoplifters, or muggers (and their victims) he had just been fighting, or random brown people. What does he think about them? Does he monitor or investigate the police the way he does with "the Russians", "the Chinese", or Turk Barret?

What does he do?

He decided that he will die tonight. It will be a relief.

...and then he finds a child.

Fuck.

I imagine this pretty angsty, with Matt struggling to take care of this fragile human being while being fragile himself, still isolated.

And for most or all of the story, gen. Will accept any pairing if you keep the angst though :)

When he comes into his hideout, Red is inside. "Oh for fuck's---"

"I need your help."

'I'm not going on a puppy quest with you, Red' is what he should say.

He glances at the man a little closer. Red has his coal in hand instead of on his face, which is a first. His hair is sweaty and he looks pale, maybe fiverish. "...are you bleeding?"

Red wages his glistening arm vagualy to the side. "I don't have anyone to leave her with," he says.

Frank must be getting old, because only now he looks at their surroundings, deeper into the place. Where a tiny bundle is sleeping peacefully on his matteress.

"You're joking."

Red smirked. "I left supplies," he says, and is already on his way out.

"I'm moving on the mob tonight---"

"So am I. That's why I need someone to sit her." With that, Red is gone. And Frank is grounded.

He moves to the bundle. "...Fuck you too, Red."

Matt catches Foggy breaking the law

Could be a small thing or a big thing. What does Matt do? Gen is fine, shippy is fine, both are good. Just want to see Matt's cognitive dissonance doing numbers as he realises his best friend is breaking Matt’s moral code.

So Foggy moved on, right? The firm collapsed, and Hogarth hired him. While Matt goes into lawyer-mode full time. And now... Matt has a case. And Foggy has the same case. Only on the other side.

(It's all a'la Marci's "I know you have a meeting. It's with me." only worse)

I would like an actual court drama with actual law. But I'll take classic angst and moral dilemas happily, too. :)

I'm so here for this.
Knowing Matt (and Hogarth's clients), I'd assume Matt's client would be in the right; which could add to Foggy's guilt/inner conflict for the kind of person he's defending.

Or maybe it's a nuanced case where both parties are partially right (and partially at fault), and the best thing would be to reach a deal. Which means Foggy and Matt would have to sit together and agree to said deal (before offering it to their respective clients). The angst!

Tw: rape - Matt does the worst thing

Foggy is over it. The failing partnership, Daredevil, Matt's irresponsible and erratic nature. He cares so much for Matt but he has to put his own life and career first so he leaves. Matt can't handle losing his best friend. He's known for years that Foggy is attracted to him (up to you whether Matt is also attracted to Foggy) so decides that if he makes a move on Foggy, Foggy will be delighted and stay with him. But it doesn't go that way. Matt is drunk? High? Crazy? And not his usual self. He forces himself on Foggy and is crying and apologising the whole time. Foggy tries to fight him off but he knows that Matt is so much stronger than he is and he doesn't stand a chance of breaking Matt’s hold.
Bonus points if both characters orgasm or just Foggy orgasms. Both of them are mutually horrified by what has occurred.

So Matt is... done. He's isolated and enstranged from his friends. He's (maybe) injured or seriously sick. Hell's Kitchen is suffering around him, and he can't help, can't work, can't do anything right... People are right to leave him. He's not helping; he's toxic.

And Matt knows his city like the back of his hand, so he knows the perfect suicide spot. Where his body would disappear, and he would be a missing person forever. Without a body, no one will probably notice he's not there anymore.

Good. He has it all figured out.

...except when he gets to his chosen crime scene, somebody's already there.

So I want to see an angry, hopeless Matt with an angry, hopeless teenager he suddenly has to take care of. Talk the value of life into him, which, you know... Matt's probably not the best choice of person for that at the moment. But he's also the only one, so. Get to work, Matty.

I want them at each other's throats.

Sniping at each other and making each other's lives hard at every step. The kid not wanting to talk and not wanting to tell who he is or where he's from, what the hell happened. Matt trying to protect the kid from Matt. Both of them keeping toxic secrets from each other. Both of them trapped together in Matt's appartement for all forciable future.

They're both angry and petty, but Matt has to be the adult in the (literal) room--- which, coincidentally, he was never good at.

Oh yes, Matt fighting with a teenager! Also if Matt's anything like me arguing to convince someone else that life is precious, they are precious and worth, they shouldn't kill herself, would be the best way to convince himself of those things as well.
Of course Matt is very much the "I'm the only exception" type, not caring if he himself gets hurt as long as everyone else is okay, but one can hope.

Claire and the benefits of being a superhero wrangler

The DD gang (and maybe the rest of Claire's roster of vigilantes or even a few of the more redeemable villains) are extremely grateful for Claire's dedication to saving their/their friends' lives over and over again.
In return, they watch over her, bring her gifts, give her free legal representation, and take her on fun (platonic?) dates only having superpowers would give you access to.

Gen or any is fine with me.

I have this vision of a faceless, black-clad man following a man down the street by walking at the same pace as him, then grinning to himself in the dark. Opening a switchblade that shines in the night together with his teeth, catching up to him and cutting open his jugular, then walking away at the same pace without stopping.

Don't catch the Devil's attention.

Matt fucks with the Avengers – reading

So there's several fics out there in which the Avengers think that Matt can't read. Which makes Matt angry and insulted. But - what if it didn't? Or, what if it did, but but he decided to use it and have fun while doing it anyway?

Matt doesn't like the Avengers, he doesn't value their opinion of him very much, he's here to get a job done and he might not be a very good liar, but he DOES know how to be a little shit. So when he realises that the As are starting to think he can't read, he instinctively runs with it. Then, upon _actually thinking about it_ he decides to continue. Why NOT let the Avengers shit their pants every time they think of handing a paper with words to him? It's a pretty good cover. Weirdly satisfying to watch, when it isn't annoying or humiliating – because, yeah, a little bit.

But that's why he's the master of this circus, and nobody else.

Literally just saw a story fitting this prompt today on the first Ao3 page. Matt/Foggy, but it's mostly Matt messing with the Avengers.

Foggy cross-dresses in his apartment now and then. He is perfectly happy as a man and identifies as such but gets a thrill from wearing women's clothes, even though he sort of hates himself for doing it and feels ashamed. What he doesn't realise is this: his best friend, Matt, has superpowers and has accidentally discovered Foggy's secret. Matt is so turned on by this and he sometimes hangs out on the rooftop of Foggy's apartment at night, listening to Foggy get dressed in women's clothes, listening to him jerk off in silk panties and dresses. He feels ashamed for betraying Foggy's privacy like this but he can't bring himself to stop.
