look, I don't actually care how you do it. maybe ~*~freaky dimension shenanigan~*~ happen. maybe Tony Stark is to blame for it, again. maybe, for whatever reason, Gwen becomes Spider-Woman, but Matt's still the vigilante lawyer duckling we all know and love. I just want Gwen and MCU!Matt teaming up and hanging out and fighting crime together. possibly with Matt being the most awkward mama duck in Gwen's direction (especially if we're going with freaky multiverse shenanigans).

I'm really surprised I haven't seen something like this yet from a show that has a lot of Catholicism in it'

I want Matt as Quasi Modo, but with a twist: he's not actually ugly or hunchbacked, he's just been convinced that he is because of his mentor that keeps him locked away. I want Matt to not be able to stand all of the crimes that are committed in the city, but because Stick would know if he left, he waits every year for the Festival of Fools, where Stick is busy and there's too much noise and smells going around to know exactly where Matt is. Then Matt sneaks out and rights as many wrongs as he can, putting the fear in the devil enough for the rest of the year.

I want Stick to be the Judge Claude Frollo, you can come up with reasons why he's keeping Matt away, maybe he's training him for some obscure war only Stick knows about, whatever.
I just want him to train Matt in fighting and honing his senses like the show but keeping Matt locked up so there's no distractions or "soft things".

I want Foggy to be the Esmeralda in this story, although you don't need to make him a gypsy or anything. Any kind of people who is discriminated against is fine, after all there's plenty. Foggy can get attacked by some people for some reason, and Matt saves him. Somehow Foggy catches his attention, maybe because he doesn't run away in fear like other people Matt saved. But they fall in love, and Foggy tells Matt he's actually hot.

Stick finds out, doesn't like it, and decides to handle the situation in one way or another.

How it plays out is basically up to the writer, it can take place in France a long time ago, or the events of the show can mirror what happens in the story and have it take place in modern day Hell's Kitchen.

I don't care much for Phoebus so don't feel like you have to write a version of him in!

Matt the food whisperer

Matt earns himself a reputation as like, the best food critic ever. By accident.

Once the firm starts earning enough money, Matt starts to treat himself to really expensive restaurants maybe once every other week. He orders the "best dish," or whatever one does at ridiculously fancy restaurants, and because of his super senses he notices something wrong with the dish.

He ends up being like... the only one EVER to have anything critical to say about it (*gasp! shock! horror!*) but the head chef, who's probably really famous or something, takes a taste and Matt's totally right. Maybe Matt discovered the elusive key to making it the perfect dish that alluded the chef all these years, or something. I dunno.

Anyway, he keeps going to these restaurants and innocently offering feedback to the things he eats, and develops this reputation as like, the best restaurant critic out there and these really amazing chefs break out into cold sweats when they notice The Blind Taster is sitting in their restaurant.

Covert Affairs crossover

Okay, so for those of you who don't know (cause I didn't) Covert Affairs is about Annie Walker in the CIA doing spy stuff. (I've only seen the first 5 episodes, so.) The best part is, the tech/analyst/genius guy, Auggie, who is adorable, is blinded after a mission in Iraq. He's funny and self deprecating and nerdy and stubborn and very good at his job. Remind you of anyone?

So while Covert Affairs takes place in DC, I just really want Matt and Auggie to meet and compare notes. I'm pretty sure that being CIA, Auggie would be able to figure out that Matt was Daredevil.
Maybe Annie and Auggie go on an undercover mission in New York? Maybe they're just on vacation? (While I know it isn't really determined if they're together or not, for the sake of this fic, they totally could be.)

Matt would totally fangirl over Auggie's laser cane, and Auggie would definitely be jealous of Matt's ninja skills.

Foggy would be jealous of their newfound friendship, but then become best bros with Annie, lamenting their stupid friends with a hero complex despite being blind.

Minions accidentally become Stilt Man or something

So for anyone who's seen the new Minions movie, one of the minions gets some tech that is basically like Stilt Man. Long legs and long arms that are extendable. So I sort of just want the minions accidentally becoming Stilt Man or something, I don't even know. Maybe the minions decide to serve Stilt Man as their new evil overlord or something, and that's why he sucks so much. (The minions are kind of terrible at helping.)

Imagine reports of like 8 simultaneous stilt-man sightings. The city is in terror. Matt parkours on over only to find a henchman's 10 year old niece playing Godzilla at the model railway museum, a henchman giving a flagpole wedgie to stilt-man's old high-school principal, one guy playing basketball with the New Year's Eve ball bc idk maybe stilt man once mentioned that he wanted to be a basketball player, all the slapstick humor that comes with 200 foot stilts

Daredevil and the stilt-less stilt man just watch in shocked awe for a few minutes, before Stilt man decides that he really needs to rethink the whole supervillain thing, and maybe he'll go into human trafficking instead.

Matt gets some form of amnesia via trauma or science/magic manipulation of his memories. He is brought up to date by the people he knows. The only thing is he is insistent that Foggy and he are married.

I would really like to see something around college-era (when Matt and Foggy were still rooming together) and Foggy gets attacked, beaten up, maybe sexually assaulted. It was two months after Fisk’s arrest before Foggy confronted Matt about it. Matt had half been expecting it and half hoping that Foggy was going to let it go, the longer it went on the more relaxed Matt got. He should have known better, Foggy was an expert at picking the best time to have a fight. He was the opposite of Matt in that way, he disliked letting anger rule his head so he’d wait until he could talk about it logically and calmly. Matt always found Foggy’s calm more devastating than anyone else’s anger.

“Hey Karen,” said Foggy around lunchtime on an otherwise unremarkable Friday. Big smile that Matt could tell from Foggy’s heartbeat and the faint smell of nervous sweat was fake. “You should take a half-day, we’re really not busy and it’s a beautiful day. You should get a start on the weekend for us.”

Karen must have smiled back because Foggy’s heart did that little half-jump that Matt associated with Foggy’s affection for Karen. “You’re not coming with?” she asked, turning her head to look at both Foggy and Matt.

“Alas!” declared Foggy before Matt could respond. “The life of law partners is not all glamour. Me and Matt have a load of paperwork to complete, but you should not be caught in its evil clutches as well. That’ll be next week when you have to file it all.” Foggy must have grinned at her because she chuckled and started to gather up her things.

Karen left and the atmosphere changed.

“We don’t have paperwork do we?” he asked Foggy.

Foggy shook his head. “I shook my… sorry. Even after all this time I still forget.”

“No,” said Matt on reflex his mouth suddenly dry. “I like it, its familiar… comforting I guess.”

Foggy sighed. “That’s good. Good to know.” He pulled a chair up to Matt’s desk and they sat on opposite sides, Foggy watching him across the table. “Do you know what I want to talk about?” asked Foggy eventually.

“I’d guess something about my senses, things I know about you because of them,” said Matt carefully. “I’ve been expecting you to ask about it for a while.”

Foggy took a deep breath. “Just one thing. The other stuff, probably doesn’t matter in the long term. I just need to know about this one thing. And… Matt you can’t lie, okay? I need to know the truth about this. It’s… it’s really important. It’s driving me crazy.”

Matt couldn’t force words out to answer so he just nodded. He was pretty sure he knew the incident Foggy was talking about. He really hoped he was wrong though.

“So,” started Foggy. “Do you remember? It was maybe five months into the first year we shared a dorm room. There was a big, stupid, frat party that you didn’t want to go too. I wasn’t going to go either but then I got asked on a date. I never told you who with,” Foggy paused waiting.

“Mark Taylor,” said Matt eventually.

“Right,” said Foggy. “Mark, I never told you that.” It would have been easier if Foggy sounded mad. Anger Matt could deal with, but this was just the same tone Foggy used when he was gathering information from clients he didn’t much like or trust. It was horrible.

“I heard you on the phone the day before,” said Matt. “I recognised his voice.”

“You were eavesdropping?” asked Foggy, still not sounding mad, just gathering information.

“Dorms were difficult. Lots of people living on top of each other, it was hard sometimes to block it all out. I found it easier if I could focus on one thing. Your voice was always easy to focus on. You were always easy to focus on. I wasn’t really listening to the words, but I recognised his voice on the other end of the call. When I realised it was personal I tried my best to shift my focus somewhere else,” explained Matt. He didn’t try to apologise, taking his cue from Foggy. Just the facts, whether they liked them or not.

“That’s why you weren’t all that surprised when I told you I sometimes dated guys a few weeks later?” asked Foggy.

Matt couldn’t help but smile a little at that. “Foggy you are a terrible flirt with everyone, and I think you were worse back then. No, you liking guys wasn’t a surprise.”

Foggy chuckled at that and Matt let himself believe that was the end of it. That it was over and Foggy wasn’t going to drag them through the rest. But then Foggy spoke again. “I came home early. I told you that the party had been great, that I just had a headache. Probably from too much studying, you normal laugh at jokes like that, but you didn’t laugh. I wondered if you knew somehow, but how could you have known, right? I went to bed early.”

“Yeah,” said Matt. “That’s what happened.”

Foggy hung his head for a moment then raised it again to look at Matt. His heart was racing. “Please Matt. I… I can’t…”

“You smelt like blood,” said Matt slowly, in case Foggy needed him to stop. “You’d cleaned it up but I knew something had made your nose bleed. You smelt like blood and tears. Yours and a girl’s. Your shirt was ripped. And you were scared, had been even more scared earlier in the evening.”

“How did you know that,” asked Foggy mechanically.

“Fear-sweat smells bitter,” said Matt. “It’s different to other sweat. You’d been really scared, something, someone had terrified you.” Matt could hear the anger creeping into his voice. “And over the top of all that I could smell his stupid overpriced aftershave. That was all over you, like he’d been…”

“Yeah,” interrupted Foggy. “Yeah.”

“But you didn’t tell me anything,” said Matt. “And I couldn’t ask. I couldn’t do anything, Foggy.”

“But you did, didn’t you?” asked Foggy, his voice gone sharp, like he was making a closing argument in court. “Because a week later Mark transferred out of Columbia. I didn’t think much of it at the time, I was just glad he was gone. But you… did you hurt him?”

Matt tried to pretend to himself that he didn’t hear the fear in Foggy’s question. He’s never ever wanted Foggy to be scared of him. “I really wanted to,” he admitted. “But I just threatened him. He laughed at the blind guy threatening him. So I punched him once. Just once I swear. I told him, I told him that if he didn’t go I’d hurt him worse. That no-one would ever even believe it was ‘the blind guy’. He ran, I never saw him again.”

Foggy was back to staring at the desk top. Matt could tell he was trying to keep his breathing under control but his heartbeat was all over the place. “You used to get cross with me if I ever stood up for you, went people were being dicks to you. You told me that it was your problem and that you’d deal with it. And I didn’t like it Matt but I did it! I didn’t tell you for a fucking reason! You had no right to get involved. I didn’t ask to assault someone for me!” Foggy was angry now, voice loud and harsh with it.

“I wasn’t like he pushed in front of you in a cue, Foggy! He didn’t give you the wrong change or rearrange a classroom without telling you. He…” Matt stopped suddenly, not wanting to put words around it.

“He tried to rape me,” said Foggy standing and turning away from Matt. “I was there, Matt. I know what he did. Doesn’t change the fact that you went behind my back to… what? Protect my honour? Avenge me? I didn’t need you to.”

“You cried,” said Matt softly.

“What?” asked Foggy turning back round.

“That night, after you went to bed. You cried. For hours. I could hear you, it wasn’t loud, it was really quiet, like you didn’t want anyone to hear,” said Matt.

“I… don’t remember that,” said Foggy.

Matt could feel tears in his own eyes now. “I tried not to listen but… I was all I could hear. I guess like when people can’t look away from an accident. I didn’t know what to do. I wanted to hug you and kill him and… make it stop. But I’d only know you a few months back then, I didn’t know how to help you. I was all I could hear, for days afterwards, whenever it was quiet. I could hear you crying in my head. And you hadn’t told me, so I couldn’t talk to you about it.” Matt took a deep breath; he was going to tell Foggy all of it. “I’d smelt a girls tears on you, and there was the smell of the conditioner that little Jen from Ethics class used. I thought maybe she’d been there. I found her the next day. She didn’t want to tell me anything. She said you’d asked her not to. But I told her you’d already told me. I knew enough about it that she believed me. She said she seen you and him at the party. Then you’d disappeared into a room. Then you came back out later, you were covered in blood.”

“From my nose,” said Foggy. “He… we were making out. He wanted more than that. I said no. He didn’t want to hear that…”

Matt felt his fists tighten and he wanted to move, but he was scared of what he’d do if he did.

Foggy continued. “I pushed him off and he took a swing at me. Hit me in the face. I got out the room but he was still hitting me. Jen shouted and other people came. Someone pulled him off.”

“Jen said he was shouting horrible things at you,” said Matt.

“She tell you what they were?” asked Foggy.

Matt shook his head.

“I remember them,” said Foggy bitterly. “I never wanted you to know. But honesty, right? That’s what I asked for.”

Matt wanted to tell Foggy that it was okay, that he didn’t have to do anything or tell anything he didn’t want to. But he couldn’t make the words form.

“He called me a ‘fucking cock-tease’ he said that was the only thing I was good for anyway. That I was a slut and everyone knew I was spreading my legs for ‘that fucking blind retard’ anyway. I went to hit him but Jen pulled me away. I spat blood in his face as Jen pulled me away. She took me to her dorm room and let me use her shower.”

Matt felt the anger in him, as strong and inescapable as it had ever been. “I should have broken his jaw,” he said darkly.

“Didn’t want you to then, don’t want you to now,” said Foggy, wrapping his arms around himself. “I could use a hug though.”

Matt was by Foggy’s side before he’d even registered moving. He wrapped his arms round his friend. Foggy buried his face into Matt’s shoulder and his own shoulders were shaking but he wasn’t crying. Matt could feel the tears on his own face.

“I’m sorry for not telling you that I knew,” he whispered into Foggy’s ear. “I’m sorry for not telling you about what I could do, I will always be sorry for that. But I’m not sorry for hitting him.”

Foggy just clung a little tighter.

Eventually they separated and Foggy insisted the go to Josie’s, so they did. And if Matt was a little bit protective, putting himself firmly between Foggy and the world, then just for that night, Foggy didn’t mention it.

Any Hero + Matt "Daredevil's Reputation"

I really haven't read much of the comics, but from what I've seen, Daredevil does often have this sort of Batman-type reputation with other heroes of being very serious and not really having a sense of humor, because he's honestly serious about what he does and he didn't come to make friends.

However. *WE* know that Matt is a fucking dork with a dorky laugh that makes dorky jokes and is kind of an asshole.

I just want to read someone (particularly a hero who doesn't know anything about Daredevil's alter ego) seeing Matt laugh his dorky Matt laugh for the first time and being like "...whoa (⊙ヮ⊙)"

maybe Matt's had a few beers, maybe he's finally getting comfortable around that person, doesn't matter. I just want one or more reactions to Matt's dorky laugh (the one where he throws his head back and laughs like a fucking nerd)

I'm just really thinking about that one part I saw where DD and Spidey are talking on top of this building (empire state building?) and they have this exchange where Matt says something like "I guess I'm not one for humor" and they talk and Matt pats Peter on the back and Peter swings away and the last panel shows the "Kick Me" sign now on Spiderman's back.

ANYTHING with the Punisher

Since that Punisher fill I've NEEDED more Frank Castle interacting with the Daredevil universe. Help me out guys.

Do he and Matt agree on anything or ever work together? Do Nelson and Murdock ever defend him in court (despite him being usually very obviously frickin guilty what with all the murdering he does)? Has he ever met Foggy? Have Frank and Karen ever sat down and talked about their guilt (or potential lack of guilt) over killing people?

Ooh, or if you want to bring in anything from the MCU, both Daredevil and Punisher have a big problem with Bullseye, who is obsessed with both/either of them depending on the comic. Obviously they would have different views on how to get him out of their lives.

Daredevil as a knockoff cult action film

Anyone ever seen those 70s/80s knockoff versions of superhero films which are now cult-classics because of how mind-numbingly awful they are? I'm thinking Turkish Captain America vs. evil mob boss Spiderman and his Spider-gang, or intentional parodies like Italian Spiderman who has a mustache and the inexplicable ability to control penguins.

Say Daredevil becomes a famous figure within the MCU. It would stand to reason there would be tv joke sketches about him, yeah? Chat show gossip and parodies and Matt's surprised but resigned and Foggy thinks it's a hilarious upside.

And then people start making knockoff action films and it gets worse or better, depending on whether you ask Matt or Foggy.

+10: The DD knockoff movies being changed in another language and badly dubbed into English.
+100: Film DD having wildly inaccurate powers/ costumes/ character/ backstory (a gorgeous blond love interest who is also an enemy spy! Daredevil has a motorbike with flames on it! He smokes cigars, has a long coat and broods like a film-noir detective! His power is summoning the actual Devil!)

Peter is his adorable self, finally deciding to go out to a BDSM club to explore his long standing but rather suppressed kinks. While there, he accidentally bumps into a Dom (Matt, of course), who makes Peter kneel and grovel for his forgiveness. Peter is helplessly turned on.

Matt thought he was an open-minded guy until he met Iron Fist. And, even considering the unlikelihood of his own hero origins of chemical spillage to the face = super senses, he's having a teeny bit more of a problem accepting that Danny Rand became Iron Fist by fighting an immortal dragon in a mystical city on another plane and punching it in the heart, thereby gaining its life energy.

It doesn't help that NO-ONE else shares his WTF reaction. Foggy thinks its the coolest thing ever. Karen has a thousand and twenty questions about the mystical city. Claire thinks Danny is a much better patient who helpfully can work at healing himself instead of bleeding out on her carpet.

Somewhere long before the events of Nelson V. Murdock/The Path of The Righteous, Karen accepts an offer to work for Fisk in some capacity, and apart from working for a scary murderer the terms of her hire are really, really nice. Karen can't figure out why -- if it's supposed to be an added incentive to keep her from thinking too hard about the massive sketchiness of this situation -- but unbeknownst to her it's just because she reminds Fisk of his mom.

(Bonus points if it's not necessarily a resemblance anyone else can see.)

I'm rewatching the first episode today and sweet Jesus, I know it's because he's menacing the guy whose daughter it is, but Wesley's little speculation about college girls and Monet tee shirts is really creepy. Maybe he's information-gathering on the guy in question, maybe he's just big creeping, but anything with him perving on women who are in college.

There was a prompt in one of the previous posts, which I'd like to make a little more specific. If I remember correctly, it was someone requesting the comfort side of non-con Foggy (NOT with Matt) and Matt finding out about it, and the emotional aftermath of that. So here's what I have in mind that's a little more specific:

Foggy is (more or less) randomly assaulted. Could be in Hell's Kitchen, in a park, an abduction, whatever fits the bill. Can be Daredevil related or not, both would work.

They put Foggy through the ringer, and top it off with pretty brutal rape. (Story doesn't have to focus on this part, I'd much rather see more of the aftermath.) Foggy is found and taken to a hospital. They treat him, do a rape kit, the works. This is when Matt finds out Foggy's in the hospital, so he goes there.

And what he finds is a pretty traumatized Foggy, which puzzles Matt, because he's usually indestructible and upbeat and puts a positive spin on pretty much everything. It doesn't take Matt too long to figure it out, or at least suspect something.

So how do they broach the subject? How long will it take Matt to get through to Foggy? Because Foggy just doesn't deal with the whole thing very well and shuts everyone out.

Would Matt feel guilty about Daredevil not having been there to help (uhm, duh?), would Foggy blame him for it, maybe? How long does it take Foggy to let anyone (i.e. Matt) touch him again, even just for the elbow guiding?

It would be great to have all the underlying emotional trauma and recovery process explored, cause that's what I'm really interested in. I'd love any potential author!anon just a little bit more if there was crying involved. Angsty h/c is my all time favourite.

Gen preferred, post season 1 also preferred.
