gen or any, Matt meets a version of himself who never met Stick

Matt meets an alternate version of himself, a Matt from an alternate universe where he never met Stick.

At first, Matt feels sorry for him. Alt!Matt isn't able to control his senses nearly as well and he can't really fight (except maybe some boxing skills, if you want). There's a lot of things he can't do that regular!Matt pities him for.

Over time though, our Matt comes to realize that alt!Matt is a lot more emotionally healthy than him. What really breaks him is when he learns more about alt!Matt's relationship with alt!Foggy, and it seems so much happier and healthier than regular!Matt's relationship with regular!Foggy. He hates that he can't give his Foggy that kind of happiness.

Inspired by the prompt on Page 14.

"Matt and Foggy are working on a case, and Foggy decides to investigate the gang or whatever it is they're looking into.

Matt objects, and makes Foggy promise not to do it.

Foggy does it anyway."

Yeah, but WHAT IF Foggy got in over his head, but it turned out that he is really, freakishly GOOD as a gang boss? Like, he comes on board to investigate and ends up smoothing things out, makes the business operate much better and generally improves the working conditions?

And Daredevil has to come in and 'attack' him, possibly 'kill' this new boss, because otherwise Foggy would never be able to leave? "I can't just LEAVE, Matt, I'm their boss' boss now, they practically worship me as the second coming of Gang Jesus."

college-era matt starts sleep-walking (maybe it's a stress thing maybe it's not) but he has no access to his super senses while he's sleep-walking so he's constantly getting himself into all sorts of situations. mostly it's just harmless stuff but matt still has his daredevil-tendencies (eg: the desire/need to protect hell's kitchen/the citizens of hell's kitchen) while he's asleep just not the super-human abilities so foggy finds him crouched on the roof of their dorm one night and has to talk matt out of like backflipping off the roof to fight crime. matt's like "foggy i have to go. there's a woman being mugged two blocks over let me just do this real quick." and he's getting closer and closer to the edge and foggy's just like "matt you can't just backflip off a building, that's not something you can do. you're dreaming, let's get you back to bed, alright buddy?"

i just really want to see sleepy matt murdock wanting to fight crime and foggy being like "you are god damn ridiculous." but also super happy with the idea that matt dreams of himself as a superhero.

The first time Foggy wakes to find Matt slipping in through his window and then crawling into bed with him is strange and startling. The second time is still strange, but not as startling. By the third time, Foggy is starting to wonder if Matt is trying to tell him something.

Enemy Mine - Good Guys and Bad Guys United by a Common Threat

So I really like it when heroes and villains are forced to work together against an outside threat. If it’s done for comedic value, there are opportunities for conflicting styles and bafflement at enemy actions. If it’s played for drama then there are moments of dangerous empathising or perhaps realising that an enemy isn’t so different after all.

I don't care what scale, or which characters are involved. Is someone in Hell’s Kitchen taking out people trained in Stick’s style, forcing Matt and Nobu to figure out who it is before they’re taken out too?

Does some sort of natural disaster or cosmic-level threat mean that the whole city is under threat and team Avocado is throwing in behind Fisk’s empire’s resources for the duration of the crisis?

Was one of Fisk’s people taken by the group Daredevil needs to track down for an unrelated crime, when the whole situation suddenly goes bad?

Just please give me unlikely and reluctant allies forced to work together. Can be shippy or gen.

YES, I love this trope! Especially when all of a sudden the badguys gain a slight advantage of the situation and capitalize on that shit like, duh, it's in our nature idiot.

Gen or any/any, Foggy gets attacked at the office

So, we've had lots of fills where Matt defends Foggy as Daredevil and generally gets punchy and violent if bad-guys-of-the-week have dared harm a hair on his head. And these are great and I love each and every one of them, but think about this for a second.

Foggy is attacked/hurt, not on the streets, but in their office. It's out of the blue, middle of the day, and no-one is expecting it: maybe it's whoever their client is prosecuting paying a furious visit, maybe it's a rowdy guy who they turn down as a client. All that matters is suddenly, Foggy is being hurt, and Matt's there to stop it.

The danger here though, is that however Matt helps (and especially if he goes all avenging angel on the bad guy's ass), it's going to be really frickin suspicious if the cops start asking too many questions about how a man registered blind could fight and beat Foggy's attacker. How do Matt (or Foggy) have to work to keep Matt's secret identity still a secret?

OK so I've seen a few prompts where Matt has been mistaken for being in an abusive relationship, and it's left me wondering what would happen if he really was in one.

I'm thinking a non-powered AU (though preferably where other heroes still exist), so the general story of the show is the same, but instead of Matt's mysterious injuries being because he's a superhero, they're because of his relationship.

I'm pretty open to who his partner is, though I'd prefer someone who isn't on the show (yet).

Possibilities: Dark!Elektra has returned to New York to assassinate some people, and reads about a case Matt and Foggy won in the paper. She realizes how much she misses Matt and goes to see him. At first things go well, but Elektra is no longer the woman she was in college, and quickly becomes possessive, obsessed and abusive with Matt.

Dark!Frank Castle. Maybe Matt's working on a case that catches the Punisher's interest, and at first it's just business, but Frank falls for this blind lawyer who seems too good and pure for the world. Unfortunately, Frank's still an incredibly violent man.

Bonus points: Karen uses her badass detective skills with Foggy and Ben's help to expose Matt's abuser.

Soulmark AU

For those who have a Soulmark, they awake one morning with the first words their soulmate will ever speak to them, written somewhere on their skin.

Matt knows he has words somewhere, but for some reason, he's never known what they are. Maybe they appeared after his dad died. Maybe Stick never told him, and wanted to keep him focused on training, not distracted, waiting to find a soulmate. Maybe they are so intimate, so personal, that he can't or doesn't go up to anyone to ask what they say, and where they are.

So then Foggy becomes his friend. And, well, two guys sharing a room, one thing leads to another and it comes out that Matt doesn't know. Foggy volunteers to look for him and he tells him what they are.

What do they say? Who's words are they? Could be Matt/Anyone, but I do have a lot of love for Matt/Claire.

I misread this and thought that Matt didn't find out what the mark said until way later so I was imagining Claire like finding it when she's fixing him and and knowing he's her soulmate but not wanting to say anything because the guy is hella sketch, and then later because she knows anything with him won't end well, and eventually Matt finds out and realizes she has been hiding it because she doesn't want anything more with him and just /angst/.

Then I read it again and realizes you meant he finds out in college. Considering that her first words to him are "It's ok. I'm just trying to help." that would probably be kind of worrying to them.
"I'm just trying to help means that you need help Matt!"
"Foggy I think you're overreacting. She could be helping me find a box of cereal for all we know."

Oh and "No. No calls." would be rather useless and annoying to her I'm sure.

AU Foggy is a shapeshifter

Inspired by the above prompt. The Nelsons were always a weird bunch, warm and welcoming but strangely secretive. It turns out each of them can shapeshift into animals and Foggy is no different.

Maybe Matt knows maybe he doesn't, but he slowly comes to notice various birds following him around the city when he patrols and then there's the freaking bear that came out of nowhere when he was surrounded by a dozen armed thugs and what's with the cat that keeps appearing in his apartment?

I'm gonna piggy back off of other posts that headcanon Matt as being touch-starved.

He has one-night stands as an excuse to touch and be touched by another person skin to skin. He still holds Foggy's arm, even thought they know he doesn't need to, because it's a good excuse to partake in affectionate touch. He sees a chiropractor or masseuse regularly.

With Fisk behind bars and Matt slowly making inroads to cleaning up the rest of the city, things should be great in the land of Nelson and Murdock. Only, it isn't. Between their first case with Karen, the case with Mrs C, and the fake retaining scheme by Wesley, Matt and Foggy just haven't made enough money to keep themselves afloat. They need money and they need money badly. The sooner the better.

So, in desperation, Foggy decides to sell a few 'straight guy jerking off' videos to a couple of websites. It's not a big deal - he only ever tapes himself from the chest to mid-thigh and makes a point of removing any potentially identifying material in the background. So a while back someone wanted to see someone from Daredevil encountering or processing purity culture, which - is an awesome idea, but one that I can't write as it is a teeeeeny bit too close to home, y'know?

But this is what I want. However she discovers that Shadows followed her there too and worse, her new bosses are latent Persona users. Matt is still the Devil of Hell's Kitchen and struggling to keep that secret from his friends, and then you have Foggy facing his own doubts and feelings about following Matt and starting their law firm business. Cue Karen becoming the impromptu therapist when Matt and Foggy are suddenly forced to face their Shadows.
