Matt/Foggy or Gen: Foggy is a latent mutant

So in my head, the extended Nelson clan are kind of like the MCU's version of the Weasleys. Big, not amazingly well off but full of heart. So what if they had powers as well?

Basically, Foggy comes from a whole family with the mutant X gene. They never have big scale powers, and he's only a little bit disappointed when puberty passes and he doesn't manifest anything. He's happy enough being a normal, regular guy.

Until one day, something attacks him and Matt (and Karen) and either Matt's caught off guard or knocked out and Foggy desperately wants to be able to do something to save his friend.

Which is when he rather expectedly manifests his mutant power and saves them both.

Anons choice as to whether this is a small power that just happened to be really effective at the time, like limited weather control or shielding, or whether it's something that will actually effect his everyday life from now on, like wings, or horns or whatever.

Yessss!!! What about a power that he needs to learn to control ? What if it manifests when he's stressed ? knowing his best friend is Daredevil that must happen quite a lot... Maybe something a bit scary ? so that Foggy is terrified about his family/people knowing ???

Matt has his little circle of friends (foggy, karen, claire, brett, you wanna put someone else, you put them) the point is everyone is friend with each other for a long time now, they trust each other, have awesome memories, inside jokes, hang at josie's after work, even did a beautiful week-end camping (that they will never repeat ever again) and bicker about how the best donut should be made.
But Matt is still Daredevil.
Yet none of them knows it.
Then at one point they discover his vigilate identity.
I'd like to ask for a fic where matt has a similar dialogue to the one he has with foggy in canon, but here now he has with each one of them and matt tries again and again to explain himself but everyone is so disappointed and in shock and sad, I just wanna cry at broken friendships

If there were any more characters for Matt to even somewhat plausibly have as friends this would be a cool 5+1 fic.
(obvs there's Ben but I feel like he's more of a "taking down bad guys" friend, not hanging out with the young folks friend)

Matt/Foggy - helping Matt on date nights

So it's pretty much been established that Matt goes home with a lot of women - a lot - and so it must follow that he goes on a lot of dates. For one reason or another, it's always Foggy helping him get ready for those dates, maybe he's helping pick his clothes, fixing his hair so he doesn't look like a freak, or just general being all 'go get 'em, Murdock' but the thing is, other than taking a few of them home for the night, none of them ever really work out and Foggy doesn't get it because Matt is a great catch.

Thing is, somewhere along the way, Matt figures out that having Foggy help him with his dates is the one way he can get Foggy to get his hands on him in some way.

Growing intimacy and sexy times ensue.

Foggy works for the financial office next door to Matt's law office so when the incident with Karen happens, it's Foggy who Matt actually borrows the tea from. From there, an epic friendship and romance is formed.

How can Matt always tell who the hotties are? He can tell who Foggy is attracted to, and so he tries to be extra nice to them because he wants the best for Foggy... and it almost always backfires.

This is really what I basically assumed was happening - Matt able to infer attractiveness from elevated heart rate, muttered comments, etc. Would love to see him have to admit to it in fic though!!

Matt/Foggy - Fav Superhero

So one day, thanks to running late and having to stop by the dry cleaners to pick up his suit, Foggy comes to work wearing a Captain America t-shirt. And, you know, it's not that he's a huge fan of any of the Avengers or anything but, c'mon, it's Captain America and if he had to pick a favorite Avenger than Cap would probably be it and Karen basically teases the hell out of him for it - not mean-spiritedly, of course, because she may or may not have some kick ass Black Widow undies she may or may not wear when she wants to feel kick ass and awesome.

Cue Matt walking in mid-tease and asking what's going on and Karen tells him all about Foggy wearing a Captain America t-shirt and how he's obvious Foggy's favorite. And, okay, Matt's not jealous, all right he's not. So what if he maybe wanted to be Foggy's favorite superhero. Shut up, he's not talking about this...

Remember that scene in Legally Blonde where that unscrupulous sales lady tries to bullshit her way into a sale and Elle is all "lol, nope" with her fabulous fashion knowledge?

Can I get something like that with Matt? Because you know there would be some sales person or another who would try to use Matt's blindness to unload some absolutely hideous pieces of clothing and I just want him to be all "nope" because he'd be amazing at telling good fabric apart and when they said he looked great he'd be able to tell they were lying and he'd probably hear one of the other sales associates either laughing quietly (if they're dicks) or being like "wth?" (if they're not).

I mean, yeah, he does occasionally come home with a baby-poop green shirt or something but that's usually on purpose to make Foggy laugh.

Avox/Mute Foggy!/Matt

Ok so I was doing some research on the actors from Daredevil and I just learned that Elden Henson (guy who plays Foggy) also plays Pollux in the Hunger Games movies.

Pollux, for those of you who don't know is an Avox, a servant who was punished for rebelling against the Capitol by getting their tongue cut out, making them mute.

So is anyone up for writing an Avox! Foggy in the Hunger Games world or an otherwise Mute! Foggy in the Daredevil world?

I would love to see Matt (still blind) interact with Foggy in this new, more complicated way.

Matt/Foggy Romance is welcome and preferable.

Matt/Foggy - Weight loss/Getting in Shape

Foggy's always been a little bit on the bigger side. In school, he was always the chubby kind. In college, he was always the guy who ate that second and third piece of pizza. It never really bothered him and he never really thought about. The fact that Matt has never been a dick about it is a bonus, sure, but he's never felt the need to be one of those guys who can bench press a car or something, so it surprises him a little when he finds out that Matt is Daredevil, that he actually feels the need to get in shape.

Not because he feels bad about himself as he is, but more that he's worried that one day something will happen and he won't be able to help Matt or save him or whatever because Foggy was too out-of-shape to do it. Like, what if Foggy needed to carry him but was so out of shape he couldn't do it? It's a horrible thought, so Foggy tries to stealthy get in shape by eating better and maybe, you know, walking more instead of getting taxis everywhere.

Meanwhile, Matt doesn't really think about being in shape. It just comes naturally to him, not only because of his training with Stick, but because food, etc., has always been a little bit on the lean side. His dad did his best, but they weren't exactly living on much, and the orphanage never really had anything extra to share and what extra they did have was given to the little kids.

Even so, he's always liked Foggy's size. He wants him to be healthy, sure, but it's a comfort thing to know that Foggy's carrying a smidgen extra weight because for a kid who grew up poor, having a little more around the middle meant you were actually doing okay, so when Foggy starts to drop a little weight, it's a lot more distressing to Matt than it should be.

What if Matt gets injured, really injured, and can't make it to Claire (or doesn't have his phone) and goes to Foggy? Foggy patches him up, but Hell's Kitchen is currently a warzone and Daredevil wants to go back out. Foggy can't let him do that, so he makes a hard decision and slips Matt a sedative to keep him out for the rest of the night.

When Matt wakes up in the morning and realizes what Foggy did, he's not happy. At all.

Can be gen or shippy or whatever.

Bonus points for description of Foggy struggling with guilt all night, watching the death and destruction on the news while Matt is out cold on the sofa

Daredevil/Foggy - identity porn

I am almost positive that someone has prompted something like this already, but I really want Foggy to have a thing with Daredevil/the man in the mask without knowing that it's his bff/secret crush Matt. And Matt having ALL THE GUILT but going with it anyway because he thinks this the only way he can have Foggy.

Except he can't quite stop himself from flirting with/touching Foggy when he's not in the mask and Foggy is torn between his bff and the hottie in the mask.

Foggy falls into a Alternative universe

For some reason (you choose, magic, science, whatever) Foggy finds himself in an alternative universe where he was never born. Not that big of a deal, right? Everything is the same, except without being a moral compass and best friend to Matt, the Devil has become more of a devil, to a point where Matt is killing and torturing people just to get what he needs.

Then, of course, Foggy meets this Devil and calls him "Matt". Ensue aftermath.

Back in college Foggy was sexually assaulted. Matt immediately knows due to (smelling the blood? semen? Your choice) but when Matt asks whats wrong, Foggy lies and says he fell or something.

Cue years later when Foggy horrifyingly realizes Matt has always known what happened that night, even though Foggy has never told anyone about it.

Sentinel Verse, Matt/Foggy

Matt was actually supposed to come online as a Sentinel but due to the accident never came 'online' in the traditional sense and therefore is not seen as desirable as a Sentinel to many guides. However, one guide (Foggy) soon figures out the loss of sight makes Matt a unique Sentinel- his senses are greater than a Sentinel's normally would be....

Matt is used to people being jerks due his blindness, while others over compensate. It comes with the territory. But while working on a case, Matt is forced to work with someone who is quite unashamed of making fun of him, 'accidentally' tripping him, ect, and though Foggy stands up for him, the constant insults start taking a toll.

Sure, Foggy still thinks that Matt's ability to hear his heartbeat is invasive, but after a while, it doesn't feel creepy anymore... it's kind of taking a turn in the opposite direction. It feels very intimate and, well, hot.

Cue Foggy fantasizing about Matt listening to his heart, and trying to draw Matt's attention to that. (Maybe with small things like running up the stairs instead of walking to make it race, knowing that Matt cannot help but notice...)

Matt, of course, does notice - and he can think of a few things that will make Foggy's heart pound.

Epic chase scene

I don't know why, but I've always had a thing for epic on-foot chase scenes. The dodging, the weaving, the I-almost-got-you-but-due-to-cleverness-you-slipped-through-my-grasp.

Cue Matt chasing Foggy for... some reason. (This situation can take place before or after Foggy finds out the devil is Matt) And though Foggy is no athlete compared to parkour-loving Daredevil, he evades the devil numerous times just by being clever.

I have this image in my head of Matt and Foggy. One takes the other by the hand and runs, pulling him after him. Why doesn't matter, though in my head they're happy. Who pulls, who gets pulled doesn't matter, I just want it. In my head it's college era, but it really doesn't matter either. I've been trying to fit it into one of my fics and I haven't been able to. Matt/Foggy - Bad First Impressions

I'd love a fic where, for one reason or another, Matt has a really terrible first impression of Foggy. Like, really bad, and he's all set on hating the guy or at least putting as much distance as possible between them. Only, as time goes on, he sees that Foggy is actually a really, surprisingly charming, surprisingly sweet, guy and he might have been cold shouldering him for no reason at all.

For Foggy's part, he doesn't get why Matt doesn't like him because he really likes Matt. A lot.

In the comics it mentions that Matt hated Foggy for the first couple months because his snoring kept Matt awake...maybe the potential filler could work with that?

I'd love Foggy with chipped black nail polish and Matt running his fingers over his nails, feeling the difference between the polish and the nails and loving it because it's so hot and he maybe doesn't even know why.
