This is so good!!!!! I love that you've made it easy for readers who've not yet read the book to catch on, thank you!

I like the healthy dose of fear and angst this implies. Can we include a majore fight paralel to the one Foggy had thrown? And dragging out all of their issues into light yet again, in a distinctly heated and destructive manner, and then dissecting them together once the dust settles and they are both too emotionally exhausted to yell some more? And they mend their friendship in a dejected atmosphere that only the victims of their own frustrations understand, psychologically and emotionally ruined as they dragged themselves through hell of their own making...

Ah, I'm not sure I like what my ideas for this story say about me...

I remember someone once saying that even if a woman walked by naked, nobody is allowed to touch her. It doesn't matter what a person does, or says, or wears. No one is allowed to rape you.

No is a no, and there is nothing more to it. There is no situation in which rape is excusable.

Also, blaming a woman for the actions of men?

Feel free to put that out there :)

Jack wanted Matt to have a well-rounded education, and not just by hitting the books, so he made Matt take *pick an instrument* lessons. (And not a recorder! I think just about every American student, along with their parents, have been subjected to this unique form of torture...)

Was he any good?

Was the instructor anybody we know?

Did Jack encourage him to keep playing after Matt's accident? Did the nuns at St. Agnes also encourage him?

Does he still play today? Does Matt play just to stay in practice, or when he's stressed, or bored, or in a good mood? (ex. Matt's just had a meeting with a client in the hospital, and its gone very well, and as he's leaving, he goes by the grand piano the hospital has in its entryway, and he figures that he has the time and is in a good mood, and the acoustics in the entryway aren't too bad...)

Does his sensitive hearing allow him to replay a piece after hearing it only once or twice?

Etc, etc, etc...

For some reason, this makes me think of Sherlock Holmes and his ridiculous violin-thinking habit :)

I'm not sure if Matt's hearing would be favorable to playing an instrument, though. He seems like a guy who enjoys silence, ever soft-speaking, his energy only coming to life at night, when people finally shut up.

But, ah, feel free. Obviously.

Yeah, I think Matt would be very limited in his range of instruments because of how loud things are when they're closer to you. Violin and cello? To close to the face. Nothing that blows.

I think he'd be limited to acoustic guitar and piano.

Are any of those people like, visibly terrified of him? :D

Yes please. Matt though it was trouble when they were enemies (scared for Karen's life, and then he slowly realised he might be scared for Elektra's life, too, and the lives of civilians around them) and then he's starting to get that NOW he is in trouble, as they slowly start to preent a more and more united front against him...

I was honestly annoyed that the show cut Elekta into a really interesting plotline, instead of developing it and getting her to ruin some other trial (of an innocent person, just to make it all the more tragic and ugly) and Matt's life in next season.

If anyone here wants to work with me on this, I'd be happy to fill.

So, does this reveal the evil side of Foggy's sharp mind? It WAS repeatedly suggested in the show that Foggy has potential to be a corrupt lawyer, why not criminal?

Does he subconsciously know Daredevil's weaknesses? Or learn and notice them all too quickly, with an eye trained to observe Matt?

Also, can he be or slowly become a CONSULTANT criminal, please? He IS sharp, and knows all the shit about crime and law and DAREDEVIL, I can totally see it happening, and Matt pulling his hair out from frustration.

(I bet vigilantism is so much harder when the crime is being manager by your best friend.)

It seems that Matt is not so much a playboy as he is believed to be a playboy, and possibly fell into a playboy-shaped rabbit hole after Elektra in college.

Every time my eyes run down this page & I come across this... My brain turns it into Rape-ologists. (I wonder what a rapeologist is... sounds really, really bad... O.o)

I think Matt's reaction to this might be similar to the one Frank had about PTSD: "Don't say that. It's an insult to the people that really go through this."

He'd be right. I'm sure Matt's training and childhood were far from easy, but he was not a child soldier. He never killed, never went through war, never was hungry and scared on the front, and never was used as cannon fodder along with other children that he had watched die. There are actually kids that really go through this.

and Brett and Foggy on and off love/hate relationship. How it all started.

(Not OP) He was being trained to kill people thought, like Elektra. His training wasn't just "Well now you got your blind guy senses fix". He was being prepped for killing but was found lacking. Elektra and those others with them in S2 were the final products, they had habits etc. to deal with bodies.

Just because he didn't finish doesn't mean he wasn't still being trained.

Can this be the first case that Matt actually took (because well, someone has to, and it doesn't seem the capitan has anything good in his future if he doesn't) after the disaster of Castle case, when he figured you can either be a vigilante or a lawyer, these two are too important jobs to distract him from one another?

...wow, that was a long and complicated sentence. I hope it's somewhat comprehensible.

So do you see any ind of happy ending at the finishing line, or straight up angst and depression?

I kind of want to see Matt trying the violin only to find out that (in his inexperienced hands) it sounds like the creaking of his father's fractured bones.

Poor Matt. I can totally see how he wouldn't think he could tell this to his friends, especially Foggy ("Misspelling hanookah is a mistake. Attempted murder is something else!") but Karen too ("I think he was inevitable. I don't see the difference anymore.")

And, oh, talking to Father Lantom about possibly killing Fisk turns out to be entirely different to confessing an actual murder. But I'm sure he would make himself say it anyway, not sure if he can ask for absolution but confessing nonetheless.

And then there's Frank, the guy that told him there is no going back, and Matt wants to prove him wrong, he wants to, but what if he can't? What if it's true? Frak would know, after all. Does it even matter what he does from now on? Once a murderer, always a murderer, isn't it? But then there is a scream in the night, and maybe it matters to them, if not to him.

"What the hell 's going on with you, Red?"
Matt laughed. "I had a bad day."

I like it. What's the case?

Nice. Does Jessica get a whiff of Foggy's angst and sets him straight about a few things? Does Foggy learn things about Matt in the proces (his history, or what it's like to be a gifted, why people hide this kind of thing even from those closest to them...)?

Does Matt make an appearance?

Matt as a theif could be fun. Who does he steal from? Fisk? Foggy? Does he steal Karen's mysterious secrets?

So what is it that Foggy says? Is he secretly not nearly as happy and optimistic as it seems? Is it the things he thinks about Daredevil? Is it something else entirely?

"Don't worry, Fog, I'm getting you out of here. You'll be fine."
"I always worry. I always, always worry. Do you think worry can kill people? Because I don't think I can be fine. I think Daredevil is gonna kill me."
"I'm Daredevil, Foggy."
"I know. Do you want to kill me? Sometimes I dream that you kill me, you can see and you look at me with your devil eyes, and you put your hands around my neck and *squeeze*"
Matt could barely draw breath himself. "What...?" he forced out. He didn't know how to finisz the thought. Foggy nodded solemly.
"Yeah," he concluded. "'s like Fisk, just for real."
