Does anyone know if removing a SIM card from a phone will get rid of the ability to track the phone, using a "find my mobile" app or something similar?
Would photos still be accessible to look at if there was no sim card in the phone? (specifically a Samsung phone).

Just wondering... there hasn't seemed to be a lot of interest or entries yet, but I'm also thinking that a lot of people may have it in the back of their mind or low on their priority list until closer to the deadline in a couple weeks. I'm not sure which one it is. I've never run a challenge before to know if a lot of people usually enter as the deadline approaches.

I've fallen in love with Foggy, but have never read any Daredevil comics before (though am familiar with Fantastic Four, Avengers, and X-Men comics). Can anyone recommend issues/story arcs where Foggy is an important/main character? Preferably something that showcases what a good lawyer/person/friend to Matt he can be? I've been reading all the fanfics of badass-in-his-own-way Foggy I can find, and was hoping there might be something from the actual comics I could try. So, any suggestions?
Well he's very prominent in a 90's arc involving his mom, but it's honestly pretty terrible (which is a bummer). He's also nothing but goofy comic relief in a lot of the early stuff.
My recommendation is to start with Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev's run in the early 2000's (which is available on Marvel Unlimited).
In that arc, Matt's identity is made public, so Foggy plays a massive role in helping him figure out what to do, keeping the firm afloat, and acting as Matt's attorney and spokesman. He gets put through he ringer as much as Matt does almost.
In terms of him being a badass, the closest he comes to that is in an event series called Shadowland which contains the closest the comics get to a yellow crayon scene between he and Matt. It's not the greatest event ever, but it gives Foggy a lot to do and he gets to really save the day.

It would be totally normal for three young professionals to rent a 3-bedroom apt together.
As for what it would be like...how much money do they have? What neighborhood is it in?

So I'm thinking about doing an AU where Matt becomes a pro boxer, and for that, I need to know his weight. I know that Charlie Cox put on 15 pounds of muscle for the part, but does anybody have any idea where that leaves his weight?

Quite a while back there was a prompt about Matt having depression and just not being able to get out of bed in the morning? Like the kind of depressed where you just can't bring yourself to move. It might have been college era but I'm not sure...does anyone know where I can find it?

If you want to claim a page (agreeing to do all the prompts on one page) please select the section and comment on it. I'll give you a week, maybe a little more to fill out all the data points. If it's not done I'll email you about it to see if you're still working on it. If not, I'll delet the comment so other people know they can take over there.
Prompt #: I assigned all the prompts a number. There may be some mistakes in this, if there are please insert a row, fill out the data, but leave all the prompt number (prompt page, etc.) blank. Make a note about it in the notes cell including what prompt number came before the missing one.

Man, I really hate unfinished fics. Hate hate HATE.
So a while back, I read the first part of a fill here on the kinkmeme, thought it was good, and waited not so patiently for a second part. It's been weeks, and it hasn't been updated yet.
Then I go to A03 to-day and find that the author has posted this fill over there. Just the one part, of course. And I said to myself, "I'm not even going to click on this until I can see part 2 there."
And I hate it even more when I give feedback and say, "I hope you update again soon," and the author writes back, "Yeah, yeah, I'll post the next part soon," and then they never do.
It seems to me that about 90% percent of stories that are not one-shots never get finished. Okay, maybe 80%. (That's just my perception of course, not a real statistic.) But still. So many cliffhangers out there, so many unfinished fics!

I think that's sort of the nature of a kink meme/fandom, though? Like, you read through thousands of prompts and one of them catches your eye, so you start a fic for it, maybe write an outline with some stuff that you're really excited about, but then you find another prompt, or you join another fandom, or your schedule changes and you no longer have time for writing fanfic. I think that unfinished fics are the price we have to pay for encouraging an anonymous, volunteerism-based fan community to provide us with entertaining stories.

Has there perhaps ever been something in the comics about it (though I'm guessing there would be a certain amount of abilities as the plot demands going on...) Or has anybody any thoughts about it?
I'm thinking not of fresh injuries but the day after with everything already cleaned and stitched up if that makes a difference.

Assuming he's at least at arm's length and not specifically looking for injuries: personally, I would think that he could smell the antiseptic and blood of recent-ish minor wounds and infer that someone was injured, but not with certainty, and not /exactly/ where. With stitches, he might be able to hear the way clothing catches on them (or on the bandage covering them), and that would certainly pinpoint them.

So I only got into this series recently (although I've now watched the entire run three times -- oh, how fast they fall), and I wondered if anybody can tell me more about the man Stick was speaking to at the end of his eponymous episode. Scarred back to camera, major muscles, discussion of the coming war and gates opening? Possibly related to whatever Black Sky was besides a young boy?

Anyway! I need characterization help! I'm noodling with the "Frank married Matt instead of Maria" prompt (found here: https://daredevilkink.dreamwidth.org/3230.html?thread=7495582#cmt7495582) and I wondered about Frank's characterization wrt to Matt and their little niblings.
I read through the first half of Rucka's Punisher run and holy crap is Frank compelling there. He doesn't make excuses for himself or for what he's doing: he's just going out and doing it, consequences be damned. (Also holy fuck I read the Omega Drive and is it just me or is Matt just really...tender to Frank, in his Matt-like way? He straight up tells Spidey that he trusts Frank. On a case by case basis but Matt is still 100% comfortable with Frank pointing a gun at him?????) And I find this fascinating and I think that's the characterization I would use in this fill. Frank being ice cold and driven, and only interested in The War.
Here's the thing, someone in the prompt thread really smartly pointed out that Frank wouldn't be alone in an AU like this. He would have a support system in Foggy. Furthermore, Matt is a very capable person, even if Frank never knew that (he's just smugly proud of his ripped af babe of a husband) so of course, when Matt got taken by the mob he beat the shit out of them and escaped. So what happens? When Frank tracks them all down they all tell him the same thing: the blind guy parkoured away and we never saw him again. And I doubt Frank could ever let himself believe that but it gnaws at him all the same.
So, Frank fans, I wonder what this would change about Frank? I think he'll still be a ruthless murder machine intent on his war. I also think that he never got the closure over Matt that he got with Maria. There's a tiny wretched part of himself that just wants Matt to be alive, that hopes he's still alive out there somewhere, trying to find his way home.
What do you guys think?

I think that the circumstances of Matt's disappearance and of Frank's subsequent interrogations would have a lot to do with how much hope Frank would be willing to entertain. (Perhaps, if you're incorporating this into TV!Canon timeline, Fisk or one of his associates is the one who's responsible for Matt's disappearance? And then the Punisher is the one who takes down the empire instead of Daredevil?)
On the one hand, the kids are dead, and anybody willing to kill kids is probably willing to kill a blind man, even if they take him away to torture him for information first (which seems like the most reasonable assumption to make for why they would take him in the first place).
But then, the fact is that Frank's never been able to find a body, even though he's tracked down everyone who was involved and searched every location they gave him. He also might have picked up a few things over the years from Matt about interrogation and evidence: he would know that two witnesses independently corroborating a detail makes that detail a lot more likely to be true. And his witnesses corroborate an awful lot of details about Matt's "escape"... especially when they've got bullets in half of their limbs. That all points strongly in the direction that he was still alive when the mob lost him. But where did he go after that? So, in that scenario, Frank would probably be driven by the hope of finding Matt: he kills criminals along the way, but his primary goal is always to find more information about what happened that day in Central Park.
On the other hand, it could be that Frank can't get to the people involved before they're silenced, or else he gets to them, but almost none of them talk, or some of them lie. Maybe some say he escaped, while others say he was dumped in the river; and really, if you don't have a built-in lie detector, which one of those stories are you more likely to believe from a mob hitman? (Hint: Probably the one involving cement shoes.) This way, I think that it would be more likely that Frank would try to crush down any hope that he occasionally feels, and when he comes across more evidence that might point to Matt's survival (*coughDaredevilcough*), he's less likely to really take it seriously because of that.

From what I recall she snuck documents and papers relating to Fisk and Owlsley out of L&Z, among which was the document with which Karen discovered the location of the property Hoffman was being kept so Matt could go convince him to testify against Fisk.

I keep seeing people say that Foggy is the self-insert character of the fandom on Tumblr, but what does that even mean?

I believe, and anyone feel free to correct me, that he's considered the self-insert character because he is the character we want to be in this universe. We want to bang Matt Murdock. We want Matt Murdock to be secretly in love with us.
I also believe, once again a correction may be needed, that he's also considered the self-insert character because in the show there is a canon romantic relationship of sorts with Matt - it's Claire. And there isn't really a whole lot of Matt/Claire out there. Hell, it could even be Karen but once again, not seeing a whole lot of Matt/Karen. Why, when there are two obvious romantic pairings given to us in the show, do we fall to the unlikely pairing of Matt/Foggy? (Because, let's face it guys, I really doubt Matt/Foggy is going to become canon.)
Now, these are just my observations on the matter from reading a whole shit ton of fic and seeing a whole lot on tumblr. I hope somebody with better insight comments on it.
