Part of the mystery in the story is finding out what happened to Matt that day. How he escaped, what happened to him after, why he didn't immediately look Frank up when he got back to New York, where he's been all this time, even why he became Daredevil, is all stuff Frank has to figure out. The driving force throughout the story is Frank trying to solve the mystery of Matt's supposed death and disappearance.

That's okay, I like complicated stories. This prompt has been eating at my brain for a while, that's why I sent out a flare like this to help me get a handle on Frank's character. I never intended it to be a one off or even a series of one offs. A story about a grieving widower meeting his supposedly dead spouse after so long? That's gold. That deserves care and effort. Grief and loss need room to breathe.
