RPF is allowed. Crossovers, characters from the extended Marvel Universe and comics canon are allowed, but must relate to the 2015 TV show in some way.

Prompts focusing on characters from Jessica Jones should go on the Jessica Jones Prompt Post, but crossovers with Daredevil can go on either post.

Prompts that are exclusively about the comics should go on the Comics Prompt Post.

+1! I suspect that his trust issues would seriously hinder any attempts at rekindling a romance with Marci. She worked for shady Landman and Zach, and now she works with/for shady Hogarth. I can see Foggy isolating himself from making friends at HC&B because while it's an amazing career opportunity, he doesn't think he can trust any of the other lawyers.

I can see him seriously distrusting Karen as well after season 2, especially if she were to let it slip that she worked with Frank more than a few times.

(OP, this is definitely not what you wanted, but it was sparked by the idea of the above anon, of Foggy finding out about Karen working with Frank. Imagine it as the first scene to a fic that filled the prompt, I guess.)

He grabs a vase off of her end table and throws it, violently, at the wall. It strikes the blue-pained plaster and shatters as if struck by a sniper's bullet.

As she stares, heart in her throat, at the pieces of pottery on the floor. She realizes that this is the first time she's ever seen Foggy commit an act of violence that wasn't in the defense of himself or others.

"Fuck," he says, whisper-quiet. Than again, louder, as he pulls his hand roughly through his hair, grabs a handful, and pulls. "Fuck!"

Karen takes a half step forward, reaching out to him. "Foggy-"

"Shut up," He grits out, not looking at her. "Please, Karen, please shut up."

She falters, stops, lets her hand drop. She doesn't get any closer to him. "Foggy," Karen says, "Foggy, listen, you don't understand-"

"I don't understand? I don't understand? I understand just fine, Karen. I understand I was played for a fucking fool, again, and kept in the dark by my so-called best friends, again, and treated like a child or an invalid or a fucking burden, again. That's what I understand."

"Foggy-"

"What's wrong with me, huh? Does everyone think I'm stupid? Stupid, naive Foggy, he's fat and not too bright, if we tell him anything he'll just ruin it, right? What is it about me that screams 'this guy is okay to lie to and trick? Tell me, Karen, I'll fucking change it!"

Karen opens her mouth to speak, to say something, anything, but there's no stopping him now. He presses the heels of his hands to his eyes and holds them there.

"All I'm asking for," Foggy says, nearly whispering it, "all I've ever asked for, is that you two to trust me as much as I trust you. Is that someone trust me as much as I trust them. That's it. That's all." He scrubs his wrist over his eyes, and Karen sees with a rush of horror that he's crying.

"There's only one thing I've ever not told you and Matt, Karen. Just one fucking thing. You know what it was?" Finally, Foggy looks at her, and he holds ruthless eye contact. "At some point in my life, I was pretty fucking in love with the both of you."

"I...Foggy-"

"That's the only thing I wasn't a hundred percent truthful about." Foggy's lips curl up in a horribly self-deprecating smile. "But fuck me, right? Guess it's for the best I never told you."

"Foggy, please listen-"

"Goodnight, Karen."

Then he turns on his heel and walks out of the door, hands stuffed in his pockets and head hung low. Karen stares after him, suddenly alone in her apartment, the shattered remains the the vase the only proof he had been there to begin with.

Oh man, I hadn't even thought about Karen's secrets, ouch.

I think he might have a slightly easier time with Marci, because she's so upfront about NOT caring most of the time - but then she does something cute like bringing him the bear, little moments that he used to love and he can't help thinking is this real, why would she though, it didn't work out so obviously it's just sex, hey at least I'm good for SOMETHING.

Poor Foggy's self-esteem. He does strike me as someone who has grown to be confident and had self-esteem issues in the past (He's friendly and outgoing and makes a few self-deprecating jokes here and there).

Now his confidence has taken a blow, but he has to pretend to be super-confident in front of everyone because he can't show weakness as a defense lawyer.
