Maybe he's the guy who's supposed to watch if they play fair?

Gen (friendship) or Matt/Foggy, AU in which Foggy is mute

(Anonymous) 2016-07-12 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
When Matt and Foggy first meet, Matt is blind and Foggy is mute. They still become bffs (or more if you want). They have their own communication system. Matt can gouge Foggy's mood by his heartbeat and breathing pattern. Foggy learns braille. Anything else you can think of.

If you want Foggy's muteness to be a temporary situation it's also okay, as long as Matt and Foggy first establish their relationship when Foggy is mute.

which of course is hard for a guy who can't see any information on screens! though maybe he can compensate a little by watching out for shifty body language and heartbeats and stuff.

+1 love this idea! Weasel and Foggy have that sarcastic humor too!

Possibly relevant to this prompt: In the comics, Foggy briefly got Matt a dog named Deuce the Devil Dog which he then lost in a poker game to Weasel. (Matt wasn't too bummed about it. Deuce was really Foggy's dog anyway.)

Daredevil/Nerve Crossover

Matt somehow gets into playing Nerve, any ship is fine

Foggy gets a dog. The dog doesnt like Matt

(Anonymous) 2016-07-13 05:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Like it says in the bin.
Foggy gets a cute fluffy dog that everyone loves and the dog loevs everyone but he doesnt love Matt.
He growls, barks, tries to bite everytime Matt is around.
Foggy is amused. Matt is not.

It could also be the case of "Matt Murdock's DNA all over the place" - because he was there. Not as a murderer, but, you know, not exactly as a law abiding citizen either. With the amount of blood and stuff that Matt tends to leave behind in nice places like Russian gangs lairs, I'm surprised something like this hasn't happened yet in canon...

This one would probably be the hardest to get out of, too.

In a much happier AU...

Frank is a gruff, ruthless, jaded, but honest ex-marine cop. Peter Parker is a very young and naive journalist. Together, they solve crimes. And snark.
Also, Maria and the kids are alive.

(Anonymous) 2016-07-14 12:51 am (UTC)(link)
He could use the evil twin defense and blame it on Mike Murdock. (Well, assuming it's not an AU where he actually does have a twin named Mike. Then, maybe not such a good idea...?)

Wouldn't they have to have Matt's DNA on file?

Re: Accused of Murder, post Season 2

(Anonymous) 2016-07-14 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
They're be no reason to have Matt's DNA on file before the crime, since Matt was never arrested for anything. They might unknowingly have Matt's DNA from other crime scenes where Daredevil was, probably labeled as "Unknown Source"... Of course, that just opens a few more big cans of worms for Matt if he's been set up and the framer somehow got his DNA at the murder scene.

Cop: So, Mr. Murdock, mind telling me why we've matched your DNA to previously unidentified DNA samples from various locations, such as what used to be a drug warehouse, a former supply station for gun runners, a building used for child sex trafficking, etc etc etc..?

Matt: *fumbles over really weak excuse*

But, to me, getting Matt's DNA without him knowing would be hard--they couldn't get into his apartment without him knowing, couldn't get a blood, saliva, hair, etc sample directly from him without him noticing. To nail Matt with DNA, it might take somebody getting paid off to fudge the lab results. Lifting fingerprints might be easier, and the way Matt just randomly flings his canes around, it would be easier still to leave one of Matt's possessions at the murder scene. Get a killer who is disguised to look like Matt, and some eyewitnesses who mistake the guy for Matt or who lie like a rug about who they saw, a victim who has ties to Matt, and the prosecution could argue that they have a strong case.

(Anonymous) 2016-07-14 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
So, basically, even if they can prove that someone was paid to fudge the lab results for the frame job... They could still have his real DNA now on file and it matches "Unknown Source"... That result may be worth it to the original framers, even if the frame doesn't stick. LOL.

(And, wow, he ought to be more careful with those canes..)

Re: Accused of Murder, post Season 2

(Anonymous) 2016-07-14 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
By that point, I think Foggy would step in and argue ALL the DNA test results that circle around Matt are all f**ked up and demand they get tossed out...all the while he is practically bum rushing Matt out the door..."Go dude! Just go! Don't look! Go!"

And I imagine Frank would catch wind of this whole fuster cluck and be like "Oops, I kinda accidentally blew up/set on fire/shot full of holes/destroyed that evidence...along with a lot of other stuff..."

Then Matt gets a stern lecture on not spreading his DNA everywhere (No. Not THAT way...)

Re: Accused of Murder, post Season 2

DNA OP

Whoa. You people took to the idea like fire. That's a nice surprise :)

Yeah, they need a match saying "Matt Murdock" or else everything they know is "Unknown source". But you don't actually need to frame someone to get their DNA into the database. All that needs to happen is for Matt to be at the wrong time at the wrong place, and the cops would take the samples just to exclude him from their cozy circle of suspects. I bet Matt would let them, too, because sometimes he is dumb like that.

And then the results come.

The Defenders in a polyamorous relationship

(Anonymous) 2016-07-14 02:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactly what it says on the tin. Civil War and season 2 absolutely ruined me and all I want is my heroes to be happy goddamit! And if the Defenders end up like strangers who occasionally punch the same people instead of actual friends I will be so heartbroken

So I want Matt, Jessica, Luke and Danny to be in a disgustingly happy, polyamorous relationship. Everyone loves everyone. Everyone has sex with everyone. Just kill me with happy domestic bliss of them being goobers.

Bonus points for it being an outside POV. Like Foggy looking at them together and going like 'yup, they all banging'

Bonus bonus points for the others being protective of Matt because they have super strength, flight, fists of iron...and he has skin sensitive enough to make cotton feel like sandpaper and takes regular beatings.

Probably stil not a fill - part two

(Anonymous) 2016-07-14 06:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[so, this was supposed to be the part where I fill the "feels a little guilt" part of the prompt. It... went sideways? I swear, I never planned anything like this...]

She hurried through the streets without looking around. The crowd of late night pedestrians is thin for New York, but - Matt told her - Daredevil doesn't come out until at least half of those people go home. Too much noise otherwise.

She closes the door behind her, and in the relative safety of her home - so goddamn relative it's laughable, she remembers Danny leaving bloodstains on her living room carpet, the assassin waiting for her to come back, the bullets flying between walls and worst of them all, Wilson Fisk sitting by her bed, not real but he could be, next time - but after checking every room and every closet (daily routine by now) and making sure that all the windows and doors are closed, she sits down in her relative safety and cries. As quietly as she can.

The Devil is listening.

It's too much to take in, too much to accept, too much to forgive. She doesn't understand.

She has loved the Devil since the first time he's so bizarrely saved her life, still nameless by then, faceless in so many ways, not even the "Man in the Mask". She has loved Matt, too: an entirely different love, full of friendship and affection and maybe something more.

She didn't want the two to come into one. Even in her most ridiculous fantasies, she didn't want Matt to be another Frank, man of violence and bullet holes. Man who didn't lie because he had nothing but the truth left to say.

She checked the rooms and closets again, made sure the locks were still solid on doors and windows, and went for the booze.

"Nothing like a little haze to make you feel better," Tommy used to say. Of course, he wasn't saying it about alcohol, but Karen wasn't quite ready to disappoint Foggy and Matt that way.

She swallowed the first glass in one go. 'It gets easier the more you do it,' rang in her ears. She felt her lips stretch into a bitter smile. It was definitely true with alcohol.

She didn't ask Matt if he had killed someone. She doesn't think he did, not with his stupid idealism, not with that lecture he gave her a lifetime ago. Not when it's MATT.

She swirled the content of her second glass, took a sip. She remembers his weak excuses when she asked him about the Devil, pathetic lies that he kept repeating, the front that he kept up with her - even after they became friends. Even after they became more than that. Should she be angry?

Maybe. Probably. She took another sip.

She doesn't feel like being angry. Lying to your friends is a shitty thing to do, some part of her brain whispers - she snorts into the drink. Well, screw you, Karen Page. Here's karma for you.

She finished the glass.

She wasn't angry with Matt, but she was starting to feel like maybe she was angry at God. It's one thing to go after Karen, make her see just how badly she's screwed up her second chance, make her pay for everything she's been running from.

It's another entirely to make her friends feel like they need to run around saving other people, forgetting about themselves - because that's what Matt did at the Castle trial, he FORGOT, Karen knows the signs and she was such an idiot, such a fucking imbecile not to realize--

She toasts Jesus with her third glass, who art in Heaven and all that, but we shouldn't all be saviors. That was supposed to be done only once, Jesus, you screwed up. We all screwed up, and Matt is going to die on a fucking skyscraper cross, and no sins will be absolved, because sins will live on and Matt is going to die.

Fourth glass, and maybe she was getting drunk now. She wonders if Matt'd be happy with her return to faith. Catholic, he said.

Well, Evangelic can be fun, too.

There's little left in the bottle, and she doesn't bother with the glass anymore. She won't be getting another one. She deliberately sat far away from the fridge, because two bottles of scotch can kill you, and she wasn't ready to disappoint Foggy and Matt that way.

Foggy, she thinks, taking a sip directly from the bottle. Foggy knew and lied about it to her, but that's not the important part. She wonders if Foggy has lies of his own.

No, she thinks.

She sees him through bleary eyes, face open and honest, smiles bright like they never are when you have ghost and monsters following your shadow, anger righteous and fresh that day he must have found out.

Foggy will be the one to see the fires.

When the monsters of her own making get to her, when Matt is done fighting battles not his own, Foggy will be the one surprised and caught in the middle, maybe killed by a bullet meant for one of them, maybe left standing alone among the bodies.

"People die, princess," Tommy told her, like it was a fact of life, and maybe it was. There was no use running from death and guns.

"It's just how this world was made."

She let the empty bottle fall to the floor. She was drunk now, no use to anyone and Wilson Fisk could just cover her mouth and be done with it. She doesn't want to go to sleep yet. She can see skyscrapers and fire lurking in her dreams.

She curls up on her couch and sends curses straight to Heaven.

Billionaires burn for bleeding-heart blind bums or Matt has many suitors

(Anonymous) 2016-07-15 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
Matt may not have a job but he is certainly not having any money issues. He was left some money by Elektra.

He tries to donate some to a charity. The amount he donates catches the attention many people. In a good way. Maybe. What matters is Matt he seems to have caught the interest of Tony Stark, Bruce Wayne, Lex Luthor and several other billionaires.

In particular they want to date him.

Help.

+1 Yes, please! Even better if they try to one-up and sabotage each other in their mad race to win Matt's heart. xD

If the cops ever get a hold of Matt's DNA in this scenario, that's basically the end of his secret identity.

The cops collect DNA from a crime scene, and any which they can't match to a specific person gets labelled "Unknown Source" and then assigned a serial number or something, something like "Unknown Source 123". Next crime scene, they find a bunch of DNA, put it all in the database, and what do you know, "Unknown Source 123" was here, too. Next crime scene, same thing. It wouldn't take many crime scenes to realize that only one person has been spotted at or near all these crime scenes - Daredevil. So eventually, they would figure out that okay, "Unknown Source 123" is Daredevil.

Then, somehow, the cops get a hold of Matt's DNA. I doubt that he would let them take it willingly, but they may very well have a warrant for it or something and can make him give them some.

If Matt is Unknown Source 123, then he is Daredevil.

And it wouldn't exactly be difficult to accuse Daredevil of having killed someone...
