There's a lot of new faces in the criminal underground in the months after Fisk. Some of the more cocky ones quickly learn that N&M is associated somehow with Daredevil and decide to get information any way they can.

...Except no one will touch them. No one wants to be hired to break in, mercenaries actively refuse any kidnap jobs, hardened mooks break out in a cold sweat when asked if they'll rough up two unassuming lawyers and a secretary for one measly secret identity. Even mentioning the name of any of the three employees sends a shiver down people's spines.

It takes a few threats before any seasoned criminal starts to admit to the horror stories about what happened to the last guys who went near Nelson and Murdock. Turns out Daredevil is very very protective. And no-one wants to deliberately piss off the ninja who dresses as a demon in his spare time.

Bonus: some new criminal kidnaps Foggy/Karen, and a been-in-the-business-for-years mook FREAKS ('Aw shit man, put them back, put THEM BACK! You've - shit - you've kidnapped Karen Page! An-and Foggy fuckin' Nelson! Oh, and Christ, you hit him, the big guy's gonna be SO MAD.')
Bonus: Daredevil arrives at wherever Foggy/Karen are being held, and they're sitting there, untied and bemused as grovelling criminals bring them cake and coffee and promise that they're sorry, that they'll never do it again only good lord don't let the devil know we took you.

Somebody is really aggressively hitting on Foggy who has no idea how to deal with it because so far a polite 'no thanks' has always worked but this time it doesn't and neither do slightly less polite ways of saying no. In fact he has tried pretty much everything except shouting at the guy/woman to go away and he can't quite bring himself to do that.

Claire calling Matt, Mike may be a reference to the comics where Matt pretended to be his twin brother "Mike", who doesn't actually exist.

Hunting season for Matt Murdock

A lovely prompt above this one raised the possibility that Foggy and Karen become untouchable in the criminal underworld, because everyone fears Daredevil's retribution. Which is awesome.

The mini-fill for that prompt features this line: "Surprisingly, no one had ever managed to capture Murdock. Troy was glad. He didn't think he wanted to hear that story."

What I want to see is a situation in which Foggy and Karen are still off-limits, but it's an open season for Matt. Maybe someone managed to capture him and Matt - needing to protect his cover - didn't beat him up and escape. It becomes clear that while Page and Nelson are protected by Daredevil, the Devil will not bother to come for Murdock. So all the criminals in Hell's Kitchen decide that they want the guy.

Dragon AU

I may have kinda got this idea stuck in my head that Matt is secretly a dragon (wings, scales, firebreathing, the whole lot.), a teenage Dragon, because dragons age slower than humans and the whole daredevil thing is actually adolescent, territorial dragon posturing and is totally normal. Matt explains this to Foggy, with demonstrations to prove that yes Dragons are real and Matt is one. Would prefer it if no-one else except maybe Stick, and Jack Murdock were dragons.

I want that conversation between Matt and Foggy, with Matt being all "This is totally normal and logical Foggy stop freaking out.", and Foggy's all "No Matt, this is in no way normal, or logical in the slightest, and oh god you're still a teenager, that explains so much."

Matt/Foggy - Matt gets his happy ending

... aka things that will never happen, SO WHAT, that's what fanfiction is for, right?

Anyways ... Give me an older Matt Murdock, getting into increasingly dangerous situations because his senses dulling and age as well as injuries combined with a generally unhealthy lifestyle are taking a toll on his body.
Foggy keeps trying to talk him out of continuing his part-time vigilantism, but Matt doesn't want to give up his alter ego, he wouldn't know what to do with himself without being out there, fighting for what he believes in. He might be getting old, but that's no reason to let himself go soft, right? Stick could do it, why shouldn't he? Besides, isn't Daredevil everything he has left in his life at this point?
He confesses all of this, maybe after a particularly severe injury or something like that, and Foggy promptly calls him out on it.
"You've got me, don't you?"
And Matt realizes that yes, after all these years, Foggy is still by his side, still loves him (in more ways than one), still wants to be with him, after everything they've been through, and maybe Matt can finally allow himself to have that?

I'm such a sap, I know, just give me Matt and Foggy finally getting together as old men.

AU - Fisk knows about Matt, visits the office

At some point during the series, Fisk somehow learns that Matt Murdock is the Man in Black. So, in order to find out more about his mysterious opponent, he visits his law office to introduce himself to his two work colleagues.

I'd prefer if it was something a little bit like the scene when Matt meets Vanessa - trying to scout for information subtly, with Matt appearing halfway and the tension suddenly going up 100% while they both try and talk civilly with each other, not sure about how much either knows. A real hero meets villian pre-showdown meeting.

For Foggy and Karen, you could either have this early s1, before they know about his involvement, so Foggy's being all smiley and charming and oooh maybe a client while Matt's freaking out because Fisk's standing really close to Foggy shit is that a threat. OR later on, when Foggy knows about Matt and Karen knows about Mrs Fisk/Wesley, and they're BOTH trying not to panic because they don't want to get the other involved and THEN Matt comes through the door and everyone but Fisk is freaking out internally.

When he gets back, he's not quite the same with Foggy and Karen. More open, less tentative with his affections.

What comics event does he see or hear about to make him appreciate his friends and how lucky he is to have them?

Matt is a merman. His people come from the deep pitch black depths of the sea where being blind is the norm and they navigate by sense of smell and changes in pressure.

I can see this going a few different directions. Little Mermaid!AU where Matt ventures to the surface and falls in love with Foggy. Mer!Stick does not take kindly to Matt wanting to escape the underwater war he's been training for.

Merfolk are known. Deep sea merfolk rarely come to the surface let alone live on it. Matt is something of a curiosity to surface-dwellers which he hates. Until one day, he meets Foggy who doesn't treat him like a freak.

Or take it in another direction, anon. Just gimme some deep sea mer!Matt :)

so either one of the avengers or a villain if you want to go angst rather than crack narrows the identity of daredevil down to one of the three people working at nelson and murdock. they disregard karen (they're sure dd is a guy) and then matt (they make assumptions based on his blindness).

it stands to reason that they assume foggy is daredevil. hijinks ensue.

Oh man I know that it's pretty stereotypical, the blind piano player, but I just really want Matt being able to play the piano. Maybe he learned in the orphanage. Maybe it soothes him. What does Foggy think? When does he find out?

Misadventures of Literal sad puppy matt

So I've seen some animal transformation propmpts, but none for Matt turning into his fandom chosen spirit animal: a very sad puppy (I'm thinking blind baby basset hound tripping over its own ears pathicly sad puppy. Or maybe one of those pitifull mixes that should not be, like a pitbull/corgi).

Meanwhile Matt is trying desperatly to find Matt or Karen but it's kind of hard when you can't talk ( or walk very well. It rather hard walking on four stubbly little legs when you only used to two.)

When you get the flu you're down for at least a week. The first few days you usually just lay on the couch half delirious and pray for the sweet mercy of death but then you get to that awkward stage where you're too sick to do anything but well enough to be bored and cranky.
How does Matt handle this? He barely accepts brain boiling temperatures and Brocken bones as a reason to take a night off, how does he feel about Claire or Foggy trying to keep him home with aches a low grade fever and a cough?
Basically just Matt getting over the flu and being a stoic ass.

Matt and Foggy get together and are super happy in love. However, Foggy prides himself on being something of a sex god and he can't help but feel that their sex life is satisfactory but not amazing. It's certainly not up to the standards Foggy sets for himself when it comes to pleasing his partners let alone the love of his life.

Matt, of course, is perfectly happy with how things are, so Foggy tries to figure out himself what really gets Matt's motor running in high gear. He tries being a little rough - maybe Matt's a masochist. Okay not that. He tries letting Matt get rough with him - maybe he's a sadist in more than Daredevilling. That backfires and Matt doesn't touch him until the bruises fade. And so on. :)

I'd love it if at the end of Foggy's various experiments, he figures out that Matt has a praise kink and maybe a kink for Foggy's voice at the same time. (Nothing humiliating or infantilizing, please) And, well, cue the amazing sex. ;)
