Look. I'm not a good person. Due to this, safewords were not only my first kink, they're also the only one that's stuck with me for so long. Safewords respected, safewords ignored, safewords used in the seemingly gentlest play, safewords that can't struggle out because of pride or fear. Safewords.

Please tell me about Matt safewording. Maybe he's just starting out with his current partner(s) and he needs to slow things down quite often? Maybe he's overwrought and tired and thought he was up for subbing but realises that no, this was a mistake? Maybe he's been in his current relationship for a while but subbing is a new thing and he doesn't always safeword when he should? Okay, so hear me out. Matt gets uncomfortable sometimes when people hit out him (for whatever reason, maybe it's a fragrance they have on them, they are kind of creepy or are really bad at flirting, etc. Maybe it's just a really uncomfortable date that is happening). Matt tries to be polite, but he is clearly uncomfortable with the situation and doesn't really know what to do.

I want Foggy to witness this happening and deciding to do something to help Matt out...in a very dramatic way. He makes a complete scene in front of everyone around them, acting as if Foggy and Matt are actually a couple. Maybe he starts crying and tells Matt that their children keep asking when Dad is coming home.

It works and while Matt is happy that Foggy got him out of the uncomfortable situation, it was really embarrassing. Matt vows to get his revenge some way.

Doesn't matter if Matt and Foggy are just friends and it's just a thing Foggy does to help Matt out or if they are dating.

I have the feeling this happens a lot to Matt, because he's 1) he's gorgeous, and 2) he's blind. He's going to attract either the most well-intentioned people who would take away his agency in a heartbeat just because they want to do for him (people grabbing him and dragging him across the street at an intersection or just generally trying to make decisions for him), or he's going to attract the worst of the worst who would love to take away his agency also, but with horrible intentions because hey, pretty blind guy, it's not like he'll be able to know who did anything to him, right? I think it must happen so often that Matt knows how to tell these people coming from a mile away, based on their pheromones or heartbeat or if they're already popping an erection while talking to him. Having Foggy around to play interference (oh god, the things Foggy must see!) must be a godsend.

I've seen some fics touch on it, but I really want one entirely dedicated to where Matt Murdock was during The Battle of New York. In 2012, Matt and Foggy would have just been finishing their second year at Columbia or starting their third, so where were they when the aliens invaded? In class? Studying for exams? Home for the summer? Just hanging out getting coffee?

+1 for the story starting in Josie's with patrons swapping their experiences before going into Matt flashbacks

+10 for Matt's first reaction to an alien invasion being ditch the cane and glasses and help evacuate the area - tracking heartbeats to make sure alleys and buildings are clear, tackling people out of the way of falling debris and lasers, maybe even pretending to be a volunteer firefighter or something so he can stay in the disaster area and the cops are desperate so no one even looks at him twice.

(+100 for Matt and Foggy showing up a week or two later to help in the aftermath and being kindly turned away because Matt's blind and there's nothing they can do to help anyway - because irony and casual ablism are apparently my weaknesses)

Basically, gimme flashbacks to Matt's first "heroic" outing and bitter Matt quietly seething about the Avengers leaving normal people to pick up the pieces they leave behind. Good thing Daredevil's watching out of the little guy ...

Because Matt and Foggy are drift compatible like you wouldn't believe. I have seen one fic about it before but I'd love to see them working as an established Jaeger team too (though feel free to write them starting as well, maybe Foggy suggests they try out because he already knows they'll be drift compatible). And they're one of the best just because they drift so well together (if you can have them take down a Kaiju at some point I will give you extra love).

Bonus points for fitting in the fact that, though Matt can manage perfectly well without his sight (maybe enhanced sense aren't so weird in the future or it's still secret take your pick), when he drifts with Foggy he gets to see things again.

Something bad is going on with Foggy.

Everyone knows that Karen and Matt depend on him for emotional stability; they don't need his crap on top of their own crap. So, Foggy will manage on his own. Somehow. Brave smile and fake cheer all the way, baby.

Yeah, no. Matt's like a bloodhound, trying to sniff out (literally) what's wrong with Foggy. Karen's no better, switching into her most fearsome "take no prisoners" mindset. Foggy's their best friend as much as they're his. They will be there for him, whether he wants them to or not. Bonus points for it being a serious problem, not a toothache or some lost library books ;-) A trillion bonus points for it being a drawn-out story where Foggy's a brave but stubborn little toaster and Matt and Karen work themselves into a frenzy trying to figure it out.

I really, really need this. The world needs this. It will bring balance to the force.

I see a lot of prompts where Karen is a former Black Widow,and that's great because she is amazing and deserves love,but what if it was Foggy instead? In the Comics there was a Wolf Spider program,so he could've been a part of that,or maybe he was the only male Black Widow agent (Imagine him in one of Natasha's suits and tell me you don't want that).Somehow he escaped and carved out a new life for himself,but slips up sometimes (like subconsciously slipping into Russian,or something will happen to give him flashbacks)

One day,some thugs (or a supervillain) knock Foggy out and kidnapp him,intending to torture him for info or just get to Matt.

Foggy,still tied to a chair,kicks their ass(es).(Or maybe he got untied,I just want it) and when Matt or whoever comes to save him ,he's sitting pretty on a pile of broken bodies.

I just...want this? (Tbh I'd give at least one of my non-vital organs if Foggy was canonically revealed to be bi/pan and/or have some sort of invisible disability, but fanfiction will have to appease that need for now.)
