Fisk is really not very dominant when you think about it.

When the situation calls for it, when he has to be the Big Scary Mob Boss he can be, but I think a lot of that is playing off the intimidation factor of a very large man with an unpredictable temper and a well tailored suit. A lot of his personal interactions, aka everything with Vanessa and all the private stuff with Wesley, have him backing down with little or no fight.

Matt shows up at work twice a week with fresh bruises around his throat. I mean lbr, Matt gets choked by bad guys all the time, so how is it that there aren't regular marks that he can't hide under his day job suit? The whole walking into doors excuse is not gonna cover fingerprints on Matt's cheek or handprints on his throat or ligature marks around his wrists.

I really want to see Karen and Foggy corner Matt about these big-hand bruises until he has to give them /something/ to explain them away. What does he tell them? Rough lover? Abusive boyfriend? He's been getting mugged twice a week and didn't want to tell them? Do they buy it, and how do they react?

Look, kinkmeme, I really don't know, but I want it. Maybe Matt was a prototype (experiments in different sensory input arrays for combat purposes?)/ Maybe he's just finding out he's not human (but very much alive). Maybe Stick is to Matt what Tyrell was to Roy. Maybe Father Lantom is hiding him because look what we've done, playing God, such hubris, but it's done and a life is a life and a life has value. Maybe Matt wonders sometimes if he has a soul.

All I know is he's not going down without a fight. And maybe whoever's chasing him across hell's half-acre trying to retire him starts questioning whether that's the right thing to do. Or, more truthfully, what they really want to do.

So the show's hinted that Karen has a past she's not proud of, but as of yet we don't have any concrete details, and obviously Matt and Foggy don't know. Say Nelson&Murdock are pursuing a case, and the opposing counsel manages to dig up dirt on Karen (if Ben found it, it can't be buried too deeply) and comes to the office to basically say "if you don't settle/drop the case, I'll release this information about your employee to smear you by association." He's convinced he's won, which is why he's more than a little taken aback when they both tell him to fuck right off.

Foggy/Daredevil

Like that, Daredevil, not Matt. College era. Foggy is being robbed when a hot guy in black PJ's jumps to his rescue. Foggy is aroused by said guy and is only natural that Daredevil picks on his arousal and acts on it. Is it Matt and/or Foggy and/or Marci that have been invited back to their alma mater to give a guest lecture? Are they lecturing part-time, now that they've got more employees and they're more established?
Hell, does one of them tutor while they're still studying? (IDK if this is a thing in the US, but my uni employs undergrads as tutors for some units)
Do they stay at their college and do research instead of heading to L&Z?
Does Claire sometimes supervise interns or medical students?

Give me slice-of-life, give me a long AU, anything. I'd just like to see them wrangling students.

Skip forward ten years into the future. Nelson & Murdock have done quite well for themselves. They have a thriving law firm with nice offices, and Matt & Foggy have been living together for five years in a lovely apartment after realizing they were in love.

But ten years of being Daredevil has taken it's toll on Matt, both physically and mentally. He is in constant pain due to the huge amount of untreated breaks and injuries he has amassed over the years, and he is deeply depressed.

One day Foggy comes home from work and interrupts Matt when he is attempting suicide. Matt completely breaks down and Foggy tries to persuade Matt to stop being Daredevil because it is killing him, but Matt can't stop himself.

One night, when Matt comes home half beaten to death AGAIN, Foggy decides enough is enough and forces him to go cold turkey. He buys a house on the edge of a tiny town in the middle of nowhere, which is basically just a store, two dozen houses, and most importantly, it has a zero crime rate.

Matt hates it at first, but eventually grows to love the sleepy little town where almost nothing happens.

+1 if something happens that forces Matt to put back on the suit one last time.
+10 if everyone in the town totally recognizes him and are like “Oh hi Matt!” while he is running around in costume.

you can take this wherever you want i have no real preferences to be honest i'm just a sucker for angst/hurt/comfort fics

basically foggy has always been low-key anxious when it comes to matt (as much as any person with a blind best friend would be) but that manifests as a fully-fledged anxiety/panic attack disorder when he finds matt half-dead and learns the truth about matt's extra-curricular activities. it starts as anxiety focussed on matt only but slowly creeps into his daily life. i.e: the more foggy presses matt for details and the more he checks in with matt to ease his anxiety about matt the more he finds to be anxious about in a general sense.

ok i know matt would sense that something was up using his super-senses but bonus points if matt only picks up on exactly what it is when he hears the rustling of pills in a plastic bottle in foggy's satchel. bonus bonus points if he steals a pill (because he's worried of course) and takes it to claire's for help identifying it (since i'm going to assume matt doesn't know a whole lot about prescription meds at least not by feel alone) this of course all results in lots of guilty as hell!matt who thinks/knows it's his fault this has happened and takes it as his responsibility to do whatever he can to make things better for foggy.

Doesn't even necessarily need to be a literal confrontation between the two of them (though that would be cool). Could just be about how Father Lantom slowly undoes years of harm done to Matt by Stick's bullshit.

Basically Matt has been lacking in decent father-figures all his life and is very lucky to have Father Lantom in his corner.

Let's be real - Matt's a man with a disability who's always walking around with injuries on his face. Anyone with any decency would notice and be worried about him.

So. Give me 5 times when a stranger or acquaintance tried to help him/assumed he was being abused.

Matt's always at the precinct; maybe a cop offers him info about abuse counselling? Or what about people he'd see often, like a barista or a bank teller? Matt comes in with injuries that progressively get worse and worse (a split lip, a black eye, a broken nose) and people who don't even know him are freaking the fuck out because someone is OBVIOUSLY abusing this blind guy! What should we do???

What if someone gets the idea that it's Foggy or Karen that are hurting him?

Hello, I just rewatched Castle s03e14 where Castle starts a scholarship in Johanna Beckett's name for law students who plan on spending their career on helping people in the system without a voice. And that is all Nelson and Murdock do, they help people without a voice. What i want is either early law school where they get the scholarship or N&M stumble in on an investigation defending a suspect of Beckett's and they realizes that is the same Beckett as the foundation that helped them out in collage

Yeah, he gets it but it gets really irritating when it's a very low key affair and they make sure to get him to safety in very obvious showy ways. It's very condescending at times too, telling Foggy to make sure to keep him out of danger.

It gets to the point where Matt gets fed up, has Foggy hold his cane and glasses and beats the shit out of the enemy of week.

Reincarnation

In the DD comics universe, reincarnation is a thing. Matt is killed by Bullseye and a new DD shows up to help people, and he's got all of Matt's idealism but none of his skills (it's actually Ben Urich's son). In the wake of Matt's death, we find out Matt and Natasha had a hidden-away, ultra protected daughter who is actually Stick reincarnated. What's crazy is there is immediate sexual attraction between nu Stick and the nu DD like this is a normal thing. In hindsight of the Stick/baby!Matt relationship in every universe, it's pretty creepy.

So the prompt is who have Stick and DD been in their past lives? Does one always attract the other, do they always end up finding each other regardless, is there always a sexual attraction involved? And what would have happened if Stick had stayed and he ends up being Matt's first sex partner? What if he wants to remain Matt's only sex partner, ever, whether out of regard for Matt's training or wanting to keep Matt insulated from outside, softer, more meaningful relationships? I'm assuming this story would get dark pretty fast, but I'm dying to know how much control Stick would exert over every aspect of Matt's life if he had been around to dictate like the world's most overbearing daddy.

OR, maybe Stick doesn't decide to stay in Matt's life until he returns and things go AU after episode 7 when the sexual attraction shows up in spades? However you want to do it, possible authoranon! I would love to read any outcome.

Foggy/Matt: Soulmates with a secret identity

I love soulmate stories where everyone has the first words their soulmate will say to them written somewhere on their skin. So here comes the prompt:

Matt and Foggy meet (they didn't meet in college -- Foggy went to Harvard, or something) and they exchange words, but there's a problem: Matt is dressed as Daredevil when they do this.

He wants to trust his soulmate, but he's only just met this man who may be his soulmate but is also a stranger, and so he doesn't tell Foggy who he is. A little while later, Matt and Foggy meet while Matt is Matt (in court?), and sparks fly but Foggy wants his soulmate and Matt wishes that this was their first meeting.

Cut to Foggy and Matt-as-Matt's developing friendship and Foggy and Matt-as-Daredevil's developing "something" and then... comes the reveal. Cue much angst and all the feels and -- most importantly -- a happy ending.
