This post is for prompts involving characters from Netflix's Daredevil.

Now that The Defenders prompt post is live, all crossovers between anyone in the four individual shows should go over there. Prompts only including characters that appear in Daredevil should still go here.

Foggy's parents save kid Matt from kidnappers

Kidnappers target Matt due to his lack of family. Perhaps they were trafficking kids for sex like what seemed to be the intention for that kidnapped boy in the daredevil series. Matt's either not powered or powered and subdued by restraints or sedatives.

He's taken in a public place. Perhaps st Agnes took the kids to a fairground and there were either too many kids for the staff or someone paid one of the staff or temporary staff off. Either way Matt realises right before the vechile they're lying about being told by one of the nuns to take him somewhere (maybe it's his birthday and he thought the nuns might finally acknowledge it more than a generic cake and the man said he was taking him for a surprise due to that. If they've paid off a member of staff maybe it's for something he told them his dad did for his birthday).

Anyway Matt realises and struggles. No one seems to see but Foggy's parents who have zero connection to Matt.

Matt's dragged into the car, and Foggy's parents make the split second decision to drop everything and get back into their car to chase after there's. What follows is an epic chase as they don't want to lose the vechile before the police come. Various awesome things happen and the ordinary couple face so many challenges where a lot of people would give up and leave it to the police.

Whether they do eventually lose the car and take to other methods over the next weeks or months to track them down, or whether they eventually catch the car is author's choice. I want this ordinary couple putting everything on the line to bring Matt home. And of course the tearful reunion where they're hugging Matt and telling him how long they looked for him and that they're so happy he's safe, and Matt being confused and maybe a bit drugged by that point. Then them realising he has no home to go back to and deciding in a second to adopt him and take him into their home.

Matt/Foggy or gen Matt is a Jedi Knight

This idea've been bugging be for months now. I want Star Wars setting with Matt being a Jedi Knight. He had been discovered and trained by Jedi Master Stick since young age but made a grave mistake by having feelings and getting attached, so Stick abandoned him. Matt somehow winds up with some other temple or Master (prolly 'cause he's very talented with the Force and it's a waste to lose him), where he finishes his training. He becomes a pretty well known Jedi because he cares about ordinary people's problems and not just interplanetary missions and peacekeeping.
So, as always, he gets overworked and stressed out and the Council orders him to take a vacation. He has to recuperate at this Jedi resort and Matt hates it but has no choice but to go along. There he meets Foggy - a very charming resort worker, who thinks Matt is a total hero and chats up a storm upon first encounter. Foggy can feel and use the Force, he was a padavan himself but he couldn't stop feeling too much and has been "expelled" from the Order (or he walked away when they told him to stop caring for his family or something like that, your choice). So instead he tries his best to help Jedi heal (he still thinks they are good guys, just that some of the teachings could use revisioning). Matt can't help but like Foggy very much and therein lies the problem. Matt tries the conceal-don't-feel and everything else is up to you.

Matt's senses are sharpened because of the Force? Or in this AU the Force is his Sense, that helps him navigate and fight? It's up to you how to explore this.
Matt wears a red blindfold. Maybe the inner layer of his robe is also red. Foggy thinks it's awesome.
Matt doesn't kill (or tries very hard not to at least). He also doesn't really like to use his saber 'cause it's pretty deadly. When fighting he uses the Force liberally 'cause he is like a prodigy. (maybe it takes a toll on his body and that's why he has to rest after fighting but he doesn't know what the word means (you can totally insert Claire as some healer here who is so done with Jedi)) (also it can mean that Matt goes all serious when Bad Guys attack the resort or go after Foggy and there's an 'oh, shit' moment when Matt lights up his saber) (also-also the way he uses the saber might be different from others, like he can use the Force to wield it, giving him longer range (think Kenshi from Mortal Kombat))
Stick took Elektra as a disciple after Matt, and she has been toying with the Dark Side all her life. (whether she goes there or not is up to you)
I want Matt to be all serene and unassuming on the outside, but burning inside. And I want Foggy to recognise that and to teach Matt how to deal with emotions in a healthy way (Foggy honestly thinks that half the reason people go to the Dark Side is all this emotional constipation bullshit, 'cause like it seems that Sith are allowed to feel (what a concept!))

I want Matt to struggle with it, 'cause he is passion personified and emotes every little thing.
Jack Murdock wasn't a Jedi (maybe he felt the Force but could never use it, all the "using" talents went to Matt)

Daredevil and Detroit: Become Human crossover

A Daredevil and Detroit: Become Human crossover (the PS4 game), where Matt is Foggy's deviant android. Kinda like a modern spin on the slave AUs.

Could be college time where maybe Rosalind gave Foggy an android to get his housework done and can concentrate on studying. Or it's Foggy later in life, where he can afford buying one. His android has dark brown hair and hazel eyes, and after Foggy's had him for a while, he starts exhibiting unusual signs of self-awareness and, dare he say it, maybe even emotions. But instead of returning it, Foggy indulges him and they develop a special bond, and the android becomes more than just a thing that helps him with his chores.

If you want to include the "blind" element, perhaps the android's eyes start to malfunction, but it finds other ways of getting itself oriented, and Foggy is so fascinated that he doesn't want to get it fixed, or maybe Android!Matt doesn't want Foggy to get him fixed.

Other ideas welcome, too.

I feel like because he’s a little more normal/well-adjusted than a lot of the other characters on the show, Foggy tends to be cast as the comforter. And that’s great! It’s totally how he is! But I’d love to see that turned on its head.

This time, Foggy is the one who’s struggling emotionally, but he tries to ignore it because he thinks it’s not as bad as what his friends are/were going through, and he doesn’t want to bring them down. He thinks he needs to keep it together all the time to be there for Matt and Karen (and others, if you like — Claire? The rest of the Defenders? Brett? Theo? Marci?), and for a while he’s able to fake like everything is ok. Eventually though, it comes to a head. But instead of everything collapsing like Foggy feared, he gets the love and reassurance he deserves.

Matt is pregnant. Foggy, appropriately appalled by Matt's resistance to giving up his "night job," suggests they ask Danny to take up the mantle of Daredevil to help preserve Matt's secret identity whilst he's indisposed.

Ah, didn't see this oops! I may have posted this same idea just a few moments ago. (What can I say? I'm very late and did not, in fact, look through every post before posting my idea.) mine had a few extra bits though, mostly just the idea that he gets sight *magically* for a few hours or something and spends the whole time bemusedly trying to understand color. He wasn't quite sure it wasn't a joke before now.

Foggy's D.A. campaign; How Does Foggy handle the Press?

One thing I was disappointed with in Foggy's campaign for DA in season 3 is that there should have been more media coverage of his DA campaign. I want to see Foggy handling the press a bit. Which is a skill of his in the comics, and one that I absolutely don't understand why the writers skimped on in the show. There were so many situations in the Castle trial in season 2, and during Foggy's DA campaign in season 3, where we could've gotten to see Foggy verbally throw down with reporters. Yet, in the Castle trial, there were a fair number of scenes where Foggy and Karen approach reporters but then walk away or don't get accosted by them.

Matt intervenes in Karen's visit to Fisk

Instead of Foggy walking through that door when Fisk snaps at Karen's mention of Wesley's death, in walks Matt in his black Daredevil armor. How does the fight between Matt and Fisk unfold? What does Fisk order his men to do to Matt and Karen afterwards?

Post-season 3, Foggy tries to adjust everything to Matt's "needs"

After Matt mentions a few times how bothered he tends to be by too loud music/ bad smells/scratchy fabrics, Foggy decides to adjust things on the office to what he thinks Matt may need. After a while, Matt notices that something is off.

Matt/Foggy, Slavery AU, Slave Foggy and Owner Matt

I really like the slavery AUs on this kinkmeme, but so far I have only seen one with Owner!Matt and Slave!Foggy.
Would love to see Matt retain a strict "no human connections" stance, at least at first, and for it to take a lot of time until Foggy wears him down.
Matt isn't a bad owner, but he makes the boundaries very clear.
Of course Matt is still Daredevil, and Foggy doesn't know that in the beginning. One of the reasons Matt got Foggy is to keep up his secret identity, provide alibis etc., and by the time Foggy finds out there is a lot of broken trust.

+ if Foggy was a breakup present from Elektra

++ if civilian as well as Daredevil Matt protects Foggy from someone who wants to do something bad to him (Muggers? An opposing party in a lawsuit that sees slaves as fair game, since killing one is only property damage? Maybe Stick when he realizes Matt has grown attached?)

+++ if Foggy is still smart. He does a lot of work for Matt's dayjob. Also because they live together, he notices that Matt isn't quite as dependent as he pretends, but Foggy got strict instructions (from Elektra/Stick/former trainers) never to ask.

++++ and my left kidney for a lot of guilt on Matt's side because he is attracted to Foggy. Maybe if you want to go to that slightly darker place some dubcon (because Foggy is still def. into it even if Matt is too guilty to realize that) or Matt taking advantage of the Daredevil persona to hook up with Foggy (of course that'll only work until Foggy inevitably finds out)

I'd also love to see the fallout of the discovery, especially since Foggy has no viable way to leave Matt- and Matt is torn between a gigantic amount of guilt and the selfish desire to keep Foggy around.

Matt, Columbia era and/or canon, Different roommate

Basically, Matt has a different roommate in Columbia. He still becomes Daredevill and opens his own firm, but not with Foggy.

Up to the filler whether Matt and his roommate get along or not, but I would like Matt to have at least one friend. The progression of this friendship is also up to the filler, incluing Matt's secrets. Foggy cameos are OK, and him and Matt can become acquaintances and have some friendly interactions, but nothing more. Other characters from canon are great, especially Brett, Melvin, Frank, Marci, Claire, Curtis and the other Defenders, but that's up to the filler too.

(I like Matt & Foggy's friendship as much as anyone else, but there's few fics where Matt has other friends, and even then, he often needs Foggy to make them. I know Matt isn't very good at self-care and relationshi of any kind, but I still feel uncomfortable with the fact that almost all fics seem to consider that his ability to be somewhat stable and happy is entirely dependant on Foggy, and I would like to see other friendships explored)

Matt pretends he can see, gen

Matt pretends he can see a couple of times in season 3, but when did he figure out that he was able to do that? In what scenario would it be beneficial to pretend to be able to see?

Probably someone told him his eyes were normal looking apart from unfocused.

He wears glasses all the time, usually, but for some reason he has neither glasses or cane and to his suprise he is treated like he can see.

Maybe he pretends he can see but it doesn't work for some reason (can't read text or see screen).
Or he almost gets caught one time but saves it.

Did Matt need to practice this skill? Has he forgotten any seeing mannerisms. maybe Foggy tries to coach him? Always extra nice if Foggy is involved somehow. What kind of uniersity or lawyering scenario would Matt benefit from pretending to be able to see?


Maybe Matt comes to this realisation a lot later in life and it involves some tense undercover activity among illegal goings on?

We've seen Matt and Foggy laughing together, working on cases together, working to take down Kingpins together. We've seen them fighting and making up. How about we see them bonding over something they have in common? They both clearly have self-esteem issues, just of different kind. Show me them opening up to each other and bonding over it.

I just want a story where Matt uses his senses very casually in presence of a friend/friends (Foggy & Karen? The Defenders? Claire? Melvin?) , and it's treated as completly normal, without anyone calling it weird, creepy or invasive, even 'jokingly'.

I would also prefer if they weren't treated as superpowers, just as Matt's way of perceiving the world

Bonus for, during the reveal of Matt's senses, Claire, as a medical professional, not questionning Matt's blindness

I read matt is messiah post and it made me think of this I do not know why but it did.
It is a crossover prompt.
For some reason Lucifer and Chloe end up in Yew York. And Lucifer ends up needing a Lawyer. Brett being to good bro he is points him at Nelson and Murdock.
What happens next is up to the filler

Foggy saves Matt from an attempted rape. It leaves Foggy alone with a semi-conscious and incredibly tempting Matt. And maybe, surely, Foggy thinks, Matt can't tell if it was him who finishes the act.

Bonus if Matt didn't know what happened, and is initially thankful to Foggy for finding him and helping him through his recovery. And then Foggy lies.

Foggy being the one to thwart Karen's visit to Fisk was lame. I'd like to see how the scene would've gone with Matt taking Foggy's place. How do things go? Does he just do the same thing as Foggy? Or does he actively fight Fisk and get beaten to a pulp? Does he a stand a chance against Fisk in a fight, having to divide his attention between the pulp and worrying about Karen being injured?

And how does the fight end? Does Fisk just have his guards remove Matt and Karen or do other things happen?

Handmaid's Tale AU

Matt is a Commander, Foggy is his husband (let's just say that it is so AU, that the world is not anti-gay), Karen gets assigned to them as a handmaid.

Bonus: Elektra is other Handmaid and Karen's shopping partner.

Things I would like to see (you can include as many or as little of them as you want), although I am particulary partial for this abiliy to be as secret as his senses

+ During S1, Matt has a potential client who is innocent of the crime they're accused of, but is followed by the ghost of their disabled/neurodivergent child they murdered (and were never condamned for this). Cue moral dilemma as to whether N&M should represent him
+ Matt spends a lot of time trying to help ghosts to 'pass away'
+ People who killed a child have a particular smell
+ The Devil always knowing child killers make him even scarier (people assumes he can tell all sins/crimes, and not only child murder)
+ Dead children helping the Devil
+ Criminals noticing that if the Devil beats someone up for seemingly no reason, this person probably killed a kid
+ Matt getting a child killer condamned
+ LISA AND FRANK JR FOLLOWING THEIR DAD AROUND MAKE EVERY INTERACTION WITH FRANK 100X MORE COMPLICATED (cue Matt trying to find a way to explain that to Frank without taking another bullet in the head)
+ THE BLACK SKY KID STICK KILLED IN S1 BECOMES A POLTERGEIST AND APPOINT HIMSELF AS MATT'S SIDEKICK

Matt gets kidnapped by Foggy's enemies looking to get back at Foggy and thinking the blind friend is an easy target.

And Matt lets himself get taken because, of course, he's going to get to the root of this and make sure these people wouldn't ever be a danger to Foggy. Except something unexpected happens and Matt is unable to escape, maybe the kidnappers hit him on the head and leave him with temporary deafness or something.

Foggy stops at nothing to get Matt back safely.
