Hydra Cap is preposterous. What next? Frank being a mob boss?

I am super excited you're thinking about taking this on. And I figure there's basically no way to tell if Frank is gonna be OK(ish) (not for Claire either) until he suddenly starts making sense again? I'm also picturing his bewilderment at being taken care of by Red

Matt/Any, Foggy/Any, Matt/Foggy - Thinking of Foggy during sex

(Anonymous) 2016-05-29 10:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Now, Matt & Foggy are bros. Super close bros. Borderline "something more" bros.

I bet you anything they have had sex in the same room. Or maybe in adjacent rooms.

So lets say, the both of them get lucky at a party or on a double-date, or just something that ends up with them having sex close to each other. Maybe they were on a double date with twins. Maybe they're hooking up in the same frat. Whatever it is, they're about to have sexy consensual sex with someone else.

But Matt's thinking of Foggy. He's thinking of Foggy under him, of Foggy kissing him, of Foggy's hands around his dick and even how Foggy would sound asking for Matt to fuck him.

Naturally, Matt feels guilty and wants to be good for his partner, but really he just wants to be with his best friend right there. It doesn't help that he can hear Foggy (either across the room or just down the hall) with his partner.

Bonus: Matt doesn't say Foggy's name but its a close thing.

Bonus 2: The next day Matt is reminded of all the ways someone else had Foggy the night before and, shit, how Foggy is getting dinner with them tomorrow...

Bad Guy Throws Matt’s Feelings For Foggy In His Face

(Anonymous) 2016-05-29 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
There’s a bad guy who’s either really observant or an empath/telepath. While dealing with Daredevil (or even Matt as a meddling civilian), they figure out that he has been hiding his feelings for Foggy. They proceed to use that against him, taunting him with it, trying to get him emotional enough or distracted enough to make a mistake.

Bonus: whatever they say hits Matt right where it hurts.

Double bonus: Foggy's around somewhere. Possibly in hearing distance.

Fill - Built on Memories - 14/? - Frank/Matt

(Anonymous) 2016-05-30 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
Frank was vaguely aware that he was dreaming when the dreams came on. He could see a vivid picture of death and destruction, and as much as he wanted to look away, he couldn't. He could clearly see the people he loved most destroyed, torn apart, but at the same time, he didn't feel the love that he had for them. He could feel the grief, and loss, but it wasn't like it was his own. It was like someone else's little girl's face had been blown to bits, someone else's wife was lying there missing the back of her skull.

Then, in his dreams, there was Matt. Stupid blind Matt stood there looking at him through dark glasses. It felt like Matt was staring right through him, judging him for something that Frank couldn't remember. Then, a memory disguised itself as a dream.

"We shouldn't be associating," said Matt, pressing his cane against the concrete between them and leaning on it for support. "Frank, you know that I don't approve of what you do. You know that if I could, I'd be the first to send you back to prison..."

"You're lying again, Matthew Murdock," Frank heard himself say, laughing bitterly. "You don't approve of my work, but you wouldn't dare cross me. You know that I'm the best ally you got in this. You know that you want me on your side, not against you."

Matt said nothing and Frank woke up, inhaling sharply.

Karen was there with him. She looked over at him with a tired expression on her face.

"Hi Frank," she said, forcing a smile. "Did you sleep okay?"

Frank looked up at her, and then forced himself to sit up. He groaned as his muscles protested the sudden movement. He rubbed the back of his head.

"I had a dream," he told her. "At first it was just all of that horrible stuff. What happened to me and my family..."

"I'm sorry," Karen whispered. "I'm sorry we didn't tell you, Frank. That may have been a bad move, but we didn't want to overwhelm you."

"I get it," he said irritably. "So, I'd love it if you told me why pretty boy wants me in prison?"

"What do you mean Frank?" Karen asked. He could sense her incredible tension.

"I dreamed about him," Frank said, not beating around the bush at all. "He was standing there, and he told me that I deserved prison. Now, I'd really like to know what I did to deserve that. I want to know, now."

The girl looked like she was going to be sick or something. Frank almost felt guilty.

"Frank, I'm still really concerned about what learning too much will do to you."

He gave up and stood up then.

"Bullshit," he said plainly. "I think that seeing my family like that kind of tips it over the edge. What did I do to deserve prison?"

"I can't, Frank..." Karen whispered, and to his surprise, he caught several tears rolling down her cheek. She didn't seem like the girl who cried easily, but she was definitely hurting. "Believe me, if I could tell you, I would. I just can't do this..."

Frank stared her down for a minute and then realized that she wasn't going to tell him. He didn't know her well, but he could tell that she was incredibly strong willed. She wasn't going to back down just cause he said so.

"I'm leaving," he said. "I'm going for a walk. I'll talk to you later."

"But..."

"I gotta go."

Matt/Foggy, Foggy provides a distraction

(Anonymous) 2016-05-30 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
Sometimes Matt’s senses can make it hard to focus. Once he and Foggy get together, Foggy gets the chance to do something he always wanted to do - get Matt out of his head via a long, leisurely blowjob.

The Joes are in town

(Anonymous) 2016-05-30 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
We've had prompts recalling other cast mates' previous roles, so why not call back to one of Elodie Yung's?

So, do what the prompt titles asks for--bring the GI Joes into Hell's Kitchen, including Jinx (who feels incredibly familiar to Matt...)

Matt/Foggy, college era, jealousy mistaken for homophobia

(Anonymous) 2016-05-30 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
Something inspired by this:

http://www.gaystarnews.com/article/straight-guy-worries-hes-homophobic-gay-roommate-ends-falling-love/

This gist of it is a straight guy keeps getting upset when his gay roommate brings guys home or sleeps with/kisses other guys. At first, he thinks it's some latent homophobia. Eventually, he figures out it's because he's in love with his roommate and was getting jealous of all those other guys the roommate was sleeping with instead of him.

"Plot twist: it turns out I don’t have any problem with [roommate] kissing guys if it’s me he’s kissing."

If this doesn't have Matt and Foggy written all over it, I don't know what does.

[Fill] Fisk Pities Matt (10/?)

(Anonymous) 2016-05-30 05:57 am (UTC)(link)
Not everything was sorted out so neatly, but the hedge fund manager was arrested, and was in jail long enough for two advocates from different agencies to convince his “wife” to go to a shelter. She probably wouldn’t stay there – she would go back to her “husband” or back to Thailand – but that was all they could do for the moment. The biggest worry that if she did go back to the apartment, he would kill her and say she went to Thailand. Matt told Fisk this was usually what happened, but only because he wanted him to know, not because they had a concrete plan of what to do. Matt wasn’t very strong, but he was still fairly sure he could handle Mr. Hedge Fund if he had to. He didn’t add that part.

In the meantime, he decided to put some effort into his health, which he’d been doing his best to ignore. The luxury building had a full gym downstairs which included an indoor track, and it wasn’t since his Columbia days that he had the luxury of access to one that was almost always empty. Walking outdoors was better than the stale air inside, but it also meant using his cane and avoiding people, or making sure people avoided him, because they always felt so guilty when they ran into him and wanted to let him know about it, and at length. Walking wouldn’t get him into fighting shape but it was a start, and he didn’t want Fisk to see him back in training, so Fogwell’s was out, and instead he got to see how the other half lived. The whole place smelled of chlorine used for the pool, which he didn’t go near. The water muted his senses; the only reason he knew how to swim was because Stick taught him by forcing his head under water until he learned to float while panicking. He still had no idea how they weren’t kicked out of that public pool. Those were some negligent life guards.

He had his phone reactivated but couldn’t bring himself to make any calls. He didn’t know who would want to talk to him. He was exhausted just talking to Fisk or Vanessa, when he had to mentally stay on his toes all the time. He could feel himself being dragged down again by the emptiness inside. He wondered what Fisk would do if he fled. Drag him back? Make some more vague threats about people Matt couldn’t emotionally connect to? Or just leave him to die this time?

Even though it was a weekday, Matt went to church. He knew Lantom went to do hospital visits after Mass on Tuesdays, so the church was empty except for an old woman who sat in the back corner and had pamphlets for strangers. He passed by her and felt the warmth of the candles. Right. Candles. For the dead.

“Do you want to light one, dear?” the attendant – he forgot her name – said, and he reminded himself that this was a completely reasonable thing to ask a blind person if they needed help with, even if she didn’t say it in the least demeaning manner possible. The trays of little candles formed a slope and one could easily burn themselves even with the power of sight.

“Yes, please.” The words sounded alien to him, as if they came from someone else. It hadn’t been his intention. He lit a candle for his dad on Christmas, but that was that. He’d only been attracted to the warmth.

As she prepared the candle, he reached out and touched the state of St. Mary above the altar. It was unpainted stone, and he was the only one who was allowed to touch it, so he supposed they weren’t too worried about it being worn down. There was nothing particular about this statue – the standard Mary with a downcast face tilted slightly to the side, her lips and nose petite and feminine, and her eyes half-lidded. There was no deviation from the standard posture, though he wasn’t about to feel her up to find that out for himself. He touched the face and one of the outstretched arms, but that was it. The attendant probably thought he was experiencing some bout of religious ecstasy, but he was having trouble connecting cold stone to the supposed warmth of her love and forgiveness.

He lit the candle the attendant guided his hand to and crossed himself, but no prayer came to mind. He could barely even think her name, let alone say it. He didn’t want to think of Elektra as being in Heaven or Hell; he didn’t even want to think of her as dead. She was just ... gone, having exited his life with only slightly more finality than the first time she ran, leaving him an empty shell, only aware that he had previously felt whole and now that feeling was gone and he didn’t know if he would ever get it back.

Matt forced himself to sit in the hard pews, alone except for the attendant and the guard he knew was standing just outside the door. The stone walls, built in the old-world style of masonry, muffled the street noises and he could focus on the sound of the candle wicks burning away in the wax, and his own breathing bouncing against the walls, helping him form a picture of the cross at the altar. The imagery bounced around in his brain but did nothing else. It wasn’t meaningless but he couldn’t absorb the meaning, so it hung on him like a dead weight until he couldn’t take the guilt of not feeling anything anymore, and stepped outside.

Vanessa was waiting for him. He knew she’d been there for some time, wanting to impose herself but not too much. Entering the church would have been crossing a line. He wasn’t even that happy she was here now. His fist tightened around his cane and he said, “I didn’t know you were religious.”

She didn’t pretend to be. “I didn’t want to interrupt your prayers.”
But that was exactly why she was here, even if she hadn’t crossed that threshold, and it took all of his energy not to tell her to fuck off. She wasn’t part of this, this part of him that was so raw and cold. “This has nothing to do with you.”

Of course, she wasn’t put off in the slightest. Maybe she was just used to being around angry men. “Do you really think you’re the only one to have lost someone?” He was holding in his rage as she continued, “Do you think Wilson will be my first husband? Did I just materialize for the sake of existing in your shared worlds, and did not exist before?”

“I don’t – “ He wanted to say he didn’t care, but he stopped himself. He was being rude. She wasn’t toying with him now, because her heart said truth truth and her tone was sad. “She wasn’t – “ But it was another false start for him. He supposed he wanted to say that that part of his life wasn’t for the Fisks to have, that no one could touch Elektra, especially now. No one had the right. But he couldn’t verbalize any of this without sounding stupid, and he didn’t want to sound stupid in front of Vanessa, or anyone.

“Matthew,” she said, her voice gentle when she said his name, like one of the nuns gently scolding him to instruct him. “You’re not the only one not to know how to grieve. You feel like you’re the only one in the world, and so has everyone who has come before you and so will everyone who comes after you. We only learn this by experience.”

He could only manage a single sentence. “When does it stop?”

“Sometimes it’s harder to start,” Vanessa said.

She wasn’t being cryptic; Matt knew exactly what she meant.

It's far from the first time someone's said "what if we wrote Daredevil as a ruthless asshole without the strong moral code that keeps him out of organized crime" (shadowlands, Spidergwen)
It's very interesting to think about, second only to 'what if daredevil had a dishonest tailor'
