So in S2 we learn that Stick originally sent Elektra after Matt while he was in college in order to try to get him away from delusions of normality, and accept his fate as one of Stick's soldiers. Of course that didn't work, and it seems he didn't bother trying again until 20 years later, after Matt was all growed up.

I'd like to see these sorts of machinations, but much more aggressive. It's pretty clear that Foggy is Matt's connection to normal life, and that cannot stand. It would start out subtle, somehow, with Stick simply setting things into motion rather than direct confrontation. How does he go about this goal? I'd like to see this plan to eventually backfire spectacularly somehow, and the boys come out on top, but boy, does it manage to cause rough seas for good long time.

my idea is basically foggy getting sent to prison for a crime he didn't commit and matt's working on getting him out but foggy is raped before Matt can get him out. so eventually matt gets the charges dropped but foggy doesn't tell him what happened. Matt can tell something is wrong.
bonus points if matts powers help him figure out what happened
extra points if there's eventually a Matt/foggy smut scene (pls bottom!foggy tho idk i prefer it)

In teh first episode of seaosn two Matt and Foggy arewalkign down teh street and Foggy is telling Matt how he went dancing with a girl the night before and he was exausted.

I want Foggy Getting to everyone eharts with his dance moves. Except Mattc ause he cant appreciate it.

I am already in the middle of another prompt but I have started something on this one. Hopefully I'll be posting something soon.

+1! I strangely love the idea of Frank dealing with fear from the people he'd never harm/tries to protect

love love love. matt getting time and space to recover, matt getting -help-, the x-men jumping in for one of their own. hee.

With no ‘real’ life to anchor him, Matt sinks deeper into the Daredevil persona. But more and more it feels like being Daredevil isn’t about saving people - it’s about the vicious, ugly joy he gets from pummeling them. He’s going too far, he knows it, and he’s starting to scare himself.

Matt had honestly believed that Daredevil was his ‘truest’ self, but now he’s beginning to realize he’s someone who needs the balance of a normal life to stay sane.

Bonus - If he’s still taking cases, it’s not like it was in Nelson and Murdock. Even when he tries to help people, it all feels increasingly empty and pointless without Foggy there. The lack of Foggy in general causes a large regression in Matt’s feeling of goodwill toward humanity.

++ The reason Karen is more successful at finding someone new is because Foggy starts patching things up with Matt.

I've read many fics where Matt knows that Foggy is in danger because he hears his racing, scared heart nearby, but what if it was less adrenaline, but equally dangerous?

What if it's a lazy day/night with no obvious danger, and Matt's just seeking comfort/just out of habit tuning into Foggy's heartbeat and realizes something is wrong? Foggy's been drugged/is ill, but is in complete denial because "it's just stress/too much coffee/etc."

What does Matt do? How does Foggy react?

Oh I like this scenario.

Foggy rolled over and reached groggily for his phone, squinting to see what time it was without fully opening his eyes. He groaned when the screen flashed "3:49 AM" in bright white text. He had an important deposition at nine tomorrow morning--well, this morning--and waking up for no reason in the middle of the night was not helpful.

Just as he was closing his eyes to go back to sleep, he heard a muttered curse from the living room, and was suddenly wide awake. He groped around on the floor next to his bed for his baseball bat, trying to remember if he'd gotten around to sending the insurance check in for his new apartment. Between the security deposit and his new, Marci-approved wardrobe, he didn't have the extra cash to replace his TV or laptop right now. "I'm armed!" he called out, creeping toward the door, bat at the ready. His curtains were closed, so it was too dark to see all but a vaguely human shape standing in his living room. A horned human shape.

"Matt?"

At the sound of his name, the shape flinched back a little. "I didn't mean to wake you."

Foggy leaned the bat against the wall and walked into the living room, flipping on the light to reveal Matt Murdock, still wearing his Daredevil suit, standing next to his front door. "What the hell are you doing in my living room?"

Matt turned toward him, looking surprisingly sheepish behind his devil mask. "Trying to leave?"

Foggy scrubbed his hand down his face. He was not in the mood to play games right now. "Okay, let me rephrase. Why did you break into my apartment in the middle of the night?"

Matt tilted his head to the side and pointed his face toward the floor. "I didn't break in. I'm not… I'm not actually sure how I got here."

"Well, it's not a big place so you either came through the door," Foggy said, waving a hand at the door next to Matt, "or through the window, which I'm pointing at right now. And whichever entry you chose, I would appreciate you leaving through it immediately, because some of us have work in the morning. For that matter, how did you even know where I lived? I just signed the lease two weeks ago." He raised a hand to stop Matt's answer and continued, "You know what, don't answer that, I don't want to know."

"I didn't come in either, Foggy, I swear. One minute I was--" He cut himself off. "It doesn't matter. I was outside one second and then the next I was here. I can't explain it. Then when I tried to leave, I couldn't."

"Right." Foggy sighed. He hadn't seen Matt since the last day at Nelson & Murdock, and he'd been doing just fine without him, thank you very much. He wasn't going to let a surprise visit from everyone's favorite vigilante wreck the life he'd started to build. "I'm going back to bed. You can sleep on the couch, I'll lend you some sweats. You should call Claire, see if she can look at that head wound, because you're hallucinating, buddy."

"I'll prove it to you," Matt called out, sounding desperate.

Foggy let his head fall forward. He could feel a stress headache building behind his eyeballs, and all he wanted was to go back to bed. "Fine, prove it to me, but do it fast because I'm losing sleep."

Matt reached for the doorknob tentatively, as if afraid it would shock him. It turned smoothly, and the door opened. Matt paused, took a deep breath, and stepped into the hall.

Foggy crossed his arms. "I'm so glad you woke me up for this."

"That… I couldn't open the door before," Matt said, sounding confused and lost.

"I'm sure you just forgot to unlock it," Foggy said, ruthlessly crushing the worry for Matt that was blooming in his chest. He'd made his choice, and he had no right to criticize Matt's, even if they were clearly affecting him negatively. "Just let me get you those sweats, you can figure it out in the morning."

Matt nodded absently, still standing in the hallway as Foggy turned and went back to his bedroom to find some pants that he hadn't cut the drawstring out of.

Or, rather, he tried to go back to his bedroom. As he reached the doorway, his body simply stopped moving, and he could walk no further. "What the hell?" Foggy lifted his foot to cross the threshold, and it was like he was wearing iron shoes. He wrapped his hand around the door frame and tried to lever himself into his bedroom, but it was no use. It was as if some strange, invisible force was keeping him out of his own room.

He turned back around to see Matt leaning against the frame of his apartment door, still clearly in the hallway, Despite the fact that half his face was covered, he still looked irritatingly smug. "Believe me now?"

Foggy shook his head. "I don't understand."

"Was it like your body just decided to stop moving without your brain being involved?" Matt asked, stepping back into the apartment and shutting the door behind himself.

Frowning, Foggy nodded. "I just nodded," he narrated. "Was that what happened when you tried to leave?"

Matt moved around the room somewhat gingerly, and Foggy couldn't tell if it was because he was hurt or if he wasn't quite sure of the layout yet. He finally settled on leaning against the back of the couch, facing Foggy. "Pretty much. Except I couldn't even open the window or the door. I got as far as putting my hand on the knob and the sill, and then--" He shrugged. "Nothing. Like my hand wouldn't work."

Foggy shook his head. "This is impossible. I am obviously either still asleep or drunk. I'm going to go into my bedroom now, go back to sleep, and when I wake up, all this will be fixed." He had no trouble walking through the door this time. "Maybe I'm the one who fell and hit his head, and I'm laid up in the hospital," he muttered, digging in his dresser for clothes for Matt. Of course, if Foggy were in the hospital, Matt wouldn't be here, he thought viciously.

When Foggy returned to the living room, Matt was still leaning against his couch. He'd taken off his helmet, leaving his face bare and vulnerable. The left side of his face was a mess of bruises, both old and new, radiating out from a scabbed-over cut that bisected his cheekbone. His face was too hollow, like he'd missed more meals than he'd eaten, and he obviously hadn't shaved in several days. The circles under his eyes were the darkest Foggy had ever seen, even worse than after Elektra disappeared and Matt stayed awake for three days straight to make up the study time he'd missed.

Frankly, Matt looked like shit, and it took every ounce of Foggy's self-control not to wrap him up in a blanket and try to feed him soup until he looked human again. Instead, he shoved the pajamas into his hands roughly, saying, "The bathroom is about four steps ahead of you, on your right. The other door is my bedroom. Do you need anything else? No? Good, I'm going to bed."

He rushed back to his bedroom without waiting for an answer and shut the door behind him with more force than necessary. After a long, silent moment he heard Matt moving around, presumably stripping out of his completely ridiculous suit and putting Foggy's clothes on, and wow, that was was definitely not something Foggy needed to dwell on right now. Instead he threw himself on his bed and starting thinking about terribly unsexy things like Jeri Hogarth firing him for showing up late to tomorrow's deposition because he was stuck in his apartment with a wayward vigilante.

With an annoyed groan, Foggy flopped over onto his back and stubbornly closed his eyes. He could deal with Matt tomorrow. Right now he needed to get back to sleep.

There’s a fortune teller in Hell’s Kitchen who specializes in love horoscopes. Everyone knows her. And somehow, for one reason or another, everyone ends up at her door. Reporters, lawyers, PIs, cops… Even the Devil of Hell's Kitchen.

Maybe the fortunes are serious. Maybe they’re funny. But they're always true, even if ~~you're in denial~~ they're not what you want to hear. Any pairings, though Matt/Foggy would be adored.

Fascinating! So is it like, they have to be within one room of each other? So Matt could step outside with Foggy in the living room, but Matt had to come back in for Foggy to access his bedroom again? Loving this!

This is literally the first thing I've ever watched about Hamilton, and it's amazing.

Matt breaks his leg badly while Daredeviling and Foggy takes care of him and helps him out throughout the healing process, especially since Matt can't really use his cane with the crutches
