They're a canon couple in Punisher: MAX v2. MAX isn't canon to the main universe, but they kiss on-panel and everything. IIRC Elektra is supposed to be Fisk's bodyguard/assassin but then betrays and murders him for Vanessa, who blames Fisk for the death of their son and also takes over all his shit.

(I actually hated that arc for unrelated reasons, but yeah, it did happen! IDK if it's occurred in other Elektra or Kingpin stories.)

I can make it work in my head, in that I think it makes some sense for frank to have more fucked-up double standards for victims than for criminals, but yeah, that whole interaction in Barracuda was still some bullshit.

Another DA

It could have been worded more politely for the new anon, but the information was good to give. The excess titling is unnecessary.

Foggy recommends Claire to any of his more complex clients. She's not sure whether to thank him or kill him.

+1000 if someone asks Claire for team up suggestions.

The human-shield-junkie thing was not Ennis' Max. Idk who it was
I dont think Ennis has enough self awareness to try some commentary on toxic masculinity.

The only thing i can think of is that the guy mentioned that he was there on illegal (drug related?) business dealings that werent prostitution. but thats not very much to work with (despite Frank's er forceful anti-drug stance) The closest situations i can recall with women were trafficked women. Even the honeytrap was alone in a snowy forest full of dead guys.
Ennis' women were usually on extreme ends of the 'victim-villain' scale

Barracuda jn general was wack.

So Matt stills had super senses but wants to work by the law so he doesn't become Daredevil, at least until after Frank Castle arrives on the scene as the Punisher. Maybe Nelson & Murdock still take his case because Matt realizes something is off, maybe not. But he does see how the system failed Frank (even if he hates Frank's methods), so he decides to start fighting too.

Maybe Frank is in prison when he starts, maybe Matt doesn't start until he escapes, but Frank catches him beating the man in the train yard and wonders what the hell this man in black is doing beating up some poor guy. . Does he recognize Matt? Does Matt explain his powers and offer to help Frank (maybe they make a deal about who lives and dies)?

Do they get along better or worse since Frank was the one to start the vigilante trend?

Yeah, having read some of Ennis' other output I don't think he was trying to make a point. It wouldn't be out of character for Frank to have that sort of double-standard, imo, but I don't think he was going for that.

Imo Barracuda was the worst arc in Ennis' MAX run in general. Nearly all other arcs had some redeeming scenes but I can't think of a single thing I liked about Barracuda.

It's a shame, so far Ennis is the best i've read, but it could have been something more if he wasnt so in love with Frank.

Ditto. And then he (and that ponytailed eyepatch guy) comes back like three more times apiece while characters like Jenny Cesare get one arc before totally permanent no backsies dying? Fuck that

OMFG how is this so hot? But would Frank and Claire know what they're doing? Is it really them or is it a dream version of them? Is there fallout?

Ok so I want pining Punisher. He meets Daredevil, he almost kills him multiply times, he forges a fragile partnership with him and than he falls in love. So he pins. A lot. He creeps around, maybe stalks a bit (Matt hears him anyway). The point is Frank doesn't know what to do. He was supposed to be dead inside and suddenly there are butterflies in his stomach again.

Big plus if Matt doesn't recognize Frank's behavior for what it is. He hears his heart speeds up and is afraid Frank is getting in one of his moods when he attacks everything.

Elektra is resurrected by the Hand and she comes back more powerful and darker than before. She's the dead queen of a dead army and she's building an empire in NYC.

She returns to Matt and reminds him that he said he would follow where she leads. She wants Matt to be her consort. Matt refuses. So she kills Karen and reanimates her. Elektra kills Foggy and reanimates him. They are hers now, their loyalty is to the Hand, and to her.

She approaches Matt again. He can be with them or she can continue building her new family from everyone he's ever known.

Enter Frank Castle. Does he help Matt fight Elektra? Does he try to keep Matt from accepting Elektra's offer? Does he involve the Avengers? Do they all become Elektra's minions?

*I'd prefer a genfic but I'm OK with any and all Matt ships.

god can you imagine Marci tearing into him? I cant see her being okay with Foggy defending a pedophile, especially not a pedophile that's so obviously guilty? Like, she can work with scumbags just fine, its not her job to approve of them, but /Foggy/? Foggy, who is supposed to be kind and good and always try to do the right thing, who once took payment in the form of 32 crates of plantains that he ate literally every day for like 3 weeks because he couldn't /turn it down Marci, GOD/. I think she'd be /livid/, /You're supposed to be the GOOD one Foggy!/

DA Girls in white Dresses was good. It was in the max run, but by Hurwitz. Ennis did all before that series. If you really want to see his take on female characters in the MAX run he's really good at analyzing the crazy chick in "Welcome to the Bayou". It's the last series in the 75 issue run. He really calculated the girl.

Honestly, I liked them al. I don't think I have a least favorite yet, but Rucka, Edmondson, and Aaron were my favorite.

SA oh I picked up the new punisher series today too. Becky Cloonan (she did Gotham academy) wrote It, and Steve Dillion once again is back for the art work...can't say that makes me happy about the art.

Wouldn't that be great? Marci making Foggy see sense.

Also, and I only know DD through the Netflix series but is it canon (wrong spelling?) that Marci dislikes Matt or is that only a trope carried on in fanfiction?

Lol Marci only appears on the Netflix show and her hating Matt is 100% a fic thing.

So as a human of the chubby lady persuasion, business wear is not that flattering. To be not unprofessional looking you have to go for things that are not super form fitting. In College, Fem!Foggy dressed comfortably. So between that and work, Matt has never been around her in something form fitting.

He's also dumbly in like with her.

Maybe Karen takes her shopping? Maybe Karen is shipper on deck and gets them to go out on a date?

Either way it ends up with Fem!Foggy in something form flattering, Matt's like, "WTF? When did my bro become a plus size thirst trap?"

And she's like, "Thanks, Matt. Glad to know you think I'm somewhat normal looking."

I'm assuming his "Fire world" skills include sensing clothes.
