So,I've read fics with one or a few of the characters are genderbent, but I don't think I've ever seen one where the entire cast is. So that's what I'm asking for. Everyone in daredevil the opposite gender from birth. I'm not too too picky about ships, but I would prefer gen. Either way is good though.

Bonus: Matt initially having to deal with sexist criminals and people not taking her seriously as a vigilante before she shows everyone that a well done punch to the face coming from a woman hurts just as much as from a man.

Foggy has always been a chubby guy so he was prompt to bullying.

It would be hilarious given how much Matt is prone to internally angry angsting and not dealing with his feelings well. Ben arrives in HK, and there's an upsurge in apprehended criminals because Matt thinks he can punch his annoyance away. The papers think DD is showing off, and Ben is delighted because he thinks he's been given tacit approval by the local vigilante regarding his vision for the character. Matt bitches to Foggy that bad things always happen to him. Foggy has no sympathy and has brought popcorn along for the ride

Either between season 1 and 2 or post-S2, Foggy and Karen go missing. Matt tears up half of Hell's Kitchen trying to find them, but comes away still knowing nothing about where his friends vanished to.

The good news is they aren't dead. The bad news? They both somehow ended up at Francis' facility, and are only recovered by the authorties when they both survive the fire started by Wade.

One or both of them have gained mutant abilities on top of their horrific trauma and PTSD.

+10 One of them was already a mutant (either secretly or not), and their ordeal just enhanced it tenfold.

++100 Foggy and Karen have become incredibly codependent after surviving and going through their ordeal together. This is hard on everyone.

Maria - Hope

Maria stared at the check. She had never seen such a large number, at least not with a dollar sign attached. It was signed by her boss, Mr. Wilson Fisk.

Mr. Fisk was evil. Maria knew that. When the world had gone to hell, Matt had been working at tying Fisk to every criminal activity in the Kitchen, pretty much. Still, this was unreal. Sure, it was just a good PR move on his part, but Maria was overwhelmed.

"Mommy?" Lisa whimpered. She was only four, sitting in a hospital room with a minor gunshot wound, and she was traumatized. She looked at the check in her mother's hands. "What's that?"

"Money," she said, too tired to lie. "Mommy's boss gave us some money to help us out."

"That's not money," Lisa complained sleepily. "Money's green."

"It's a check," Maria explained, voice heavy. "It can be traded for money."

"That's silly," Lisa said, half paying attention to her own words. "Grown-ups make things silly."

"Sometimes they do, my love."

"I miss Papa and Daddy..." Lisa whined.

"Me too," Maria said, turning slightly and pulling Lisa gently into her arms. She had to be careful with her daughter's injuries, but she just wanted to cuddle. "You'll have to be strong, though; we both do. They'll return to us."

Matt/Frank - Waking Up

Frank woke up screaming. He could not stop screaming.

His skull pounded with each heartbeat that passed through his body and it hurt; oh god, it hurt more than he could consciously understand.

"No!" he yelled, as hands surrounded him. They pushed and pulled, and seemed to have no real purpose other than to make the pain worse. His mouth couldn't form the words that he really wanted, so he just kept yelling the word 'no,' over and over.

He could barely see the ones around him. Instead, he saw bullets flying around inside of his head. He knew Matt had been there. Matt had saved their family.

He'd been shot in the head.

That knowledge came in slowly, and with it, the pain was replaced by a rush of fear. Frank Castle had seen men shot. In fact, his mind wandered to a young man, Private Wilson, who had been shot and killed during his first tour of duty. It had been so far away but Frank had seen him go down with a bullet in the back of his skull. He'd gone down and never got back up.

Frank had gone down the same way, but as a civilian.

He was alive. He had to remind himself of that. He was alive, while the young private was not. He had to cling to the life he'd been offered.

When Matt found out that the shooting was part of a police sting gone wrong, his blood boiled. It had only taken the man known as Daredevil a short time to piece two and two together. It had led him to District Attorney Samatha Reyes.

Daredevil appeared in her apartment in the dead of night and she was still awake.

"You were involved in the Central Park massacre."

She turned and looked at him with a fire in her eyes. It wasn't that she was used to having masked men break into her home, but the woman was strong, resilient.

"You'd be hard pressed to prove that one," she stated evenly, heartrate immediately dropping back to normal once she faced him. "Who are you, exactly?"

"You know who I am."

"Correction," she began, "I know that a masked man roams this city and that they call him Daredevil. I do not, however, know who you are."

"A family was caught in the crossfire of your sting gone wrong," Matt said, tossing down his damning evidence. "I have a copy of this tape. In it, your subordinates discuss the benefits of a man dying from a gunshot wound to the head. Well, guess what? That man woke up today. Sheer force of will, really."

Her heartbeat soared.

"This is a blackmail attempt, yes?" she asked. "Get to the blackmail."

So, Matt did. He listed his demands. The county would pay for Frank's medical bills, leave the family alone and admit the part they'd played in the masscre that had nearly ended in innocent lives lost. Then, he added another demand.

"I also want paperwork freeing the Castle family's slave."

The gunfire had awakened Matt to the future and he needed to be free to best serve his family.

"Oh..."

"Yes?"

"That can be arranged."

Holy crap it's finished. Thank you so much to everyone who's read and commented. I'll be putting up the cleaned version on a03 shortly, but it's going to take some time to re-edit and group up some of the pieces.

Lisa - Okay

Lisa was only a small child, so as she watched her mommy and both of her daddies cry over a piece of paper, she was confused. She watched her papa hold it in his hands. He turned it around like he didn't think it was real. He then handed it over to her mommy.

"This is for real, right?" asked Mommy, tears falling down her face. Lisa wanted to ask why Mommy was crying, but she was watching them from the bathroom next to their hospital room. She wasn't sure if they knew she was there and she didn't want to get in trouble. "Matt, this is what I think it is, right? How?"

"I made it happen," Papa replied calmly. He smiled at Lisa and Lisa had a strange feeling he knew she was listening. He heard things other people didn't. "I'm free now, Maria."

Daddy was still in the hospital bed. Lisa wasn't sure how long it was going to take for him to get better, but Mommy said he'd have some problems for a little while. Lisa hoped it was soon. He was awake, but his eyes looked funny, like he wasn't looking at anything.

"You're not a slave..." he said, in a voice that was funny, and kind of hard to understand. "Matty..."

"Nope," Papa said proudly. "I'm not a slave, your bills are paid, and we'll be okay."

"We've also got ourselves quite a good savings thanks to Fisk," Mommy said quietly. "That feels weird to say since he's evil and all..."

"Don't worry about Fisk right now," assured Papa. "I love you guys, so much."

Just then, from the crib the nurse had brought into the room, Frankie started whining. Lisa took that as her cue to run into the room.

"Frankie's awake!" she yelled, deciding that was the best excuse she had to come in. "I was going potty and I heard Frankie."

"That you did," said Papa, grinning. He helped Frankie out of the crib and put him on Daddy's bed. Frankie crawled up and Daddy pat the top of his head. "Are you okay, Lisa?"

"Yep, I'm okay!" she promised. "Are you...okay?"

Papa picked her up and pulled her into a hug.

"We're all okay, sweetie."

Almost 14000 words, cut down to twenty-one parts on A03.

I haven't really read any good DD fic that included a polyship. It could be domestic and fluffy, or full of angst (I love angst.) You could keep it simple and do something like Karen/Foggy/Matt or Karen/Frank/Matt or get interesting with something unique.

While I love how confident Foggy is in most fics, I would really like one where he isn't. And where he actually has a reason to not be. Because there are mean people who do comment about a really hot guy dating someone average, or even just be casually insulting by openly flirting with Matt in front of him, even though it's obvious they're together.

Im soo in for this.

Remember the Black Sky boy from season one? The one Stick said that he killed? Well, we all know Stick is more than capable of lying to Matt and I'm not buying it, not with his history with Elektra.

Stick didn't kill the Black Sky. Instead, he did what he always does: he stole it.

...and now, a year later and grieving from Elektra's loss, Matt finds out.

The Devil of Hell's Kitchen meets Robbie Reyes, aka The Spirit of Vengeance, Ghost Rider.

Whether they end up clashing or working together, it's up to the filler.

imagine BA does like, an interview or something, saying hed love to talk to DD in person to get a feel for his "character", and to examine his motivation for being a vigilante. it starts like, an online campaign, #InterviewDD or something like that idk. Eventually he gives in, draws up a contract dealing with all his privacy requirements and everything, has foggy go with him as his "lawyer".

So this would take place before Foggy finds out that Matt is daredevil. When they were in law school at some point Matt was dabbling in self-harm and Foggy found out, but Matt stopped.

Now Matt keeps walking into the office with injuries and Foggy's first thought is that he's doing it again. Foggy is not really sure how to deal with it but eventually he confronts Matt, and Matt doesn't deny it because he'd rather have Foggy believe that than learn about his masked activities.

Karen should notice that something is off between the two of them and maybe she also starts to believe the self-harm thing. Either way, there should be a lot of angst and misunderstandings.

Bonus points if you manage to work in more than just pre-slash.

I think you are doing an absolutely wonderful job! The idea of how different Matt and Foggy would be if they hadn't met until after Matt started with his Daredevilling, how differently Foggy would react to the Nobu incident... ahhh this is lovely. Thank you!

Matt stood two blocks away from the Slave Office, on the roof of an adjoining building. He was far enough from the building that he, himself, would not be spotted, but he had already managed to pinpoint Emery. The man wasn't bluffing about having Frank, either. Even from a distance, he could smell him, and could hear the distinct way Frank breathed.

He knew Frank, and he knew that it was his duty to save him.

Sergeant Brett Mahoney, on the other hand, only knew that he hated Matt Murdock. Daredevil or not, the guy was a colossal pain in the ass. A note had been left at the scene of the Murdock break in with the words 'Slave Office' written in Braille. Brett's colleague, Daniels, had a blind daughter, Melissa, and had taught her to read it himself. He told Brett immediately what it said.

Murdock had known he'd bring Davis. Davis was his partner, for god's sake. Maybe he was up to something.

Then, Brett and his team arrived near the office, and he saw red.

Goddamn it, Murdock was the devil himself.

"Go North," he told Daniels and their backup. "I want you to check for any and everything."

While they went to the left side of the building, Brett took it upon himself to go right, to the alleyway against the building.

"Murdock."

"I'm sorry, Brett," them an said simply, jumping down from the rooftop to land in front of him. "You don't deserve this."

"No, I don't," he replied. "So, why am I here, Matt?"

Matt flinched at the use of his name.

"Police recently lost an apprehended suspect called Emery. He's here, and he's waiting for me."

"Why is he here? I want real answers, Matt."

"He has Frank Castle," Matt said, voice as even as he could manage. That wasn't easy, of course, when Brett's pulse immediately raced.

"He has a fugitive slave," Brett replied. "PLease tell me that you're not asking me to help him."

"I'm going to fight slavery with everything in me," Matt assured. "I know that you don't believe in it either."

"I read Karen's article, but..."

"You and Foggy have discussed slavery before," he pointed out quickly. "You said you were against it."

"My personal feelings are irrelevant. I'm not going to help you commit multiple felonies."

"I'll do that on my own," Matt replied instantly. "Just help me grab a dangerous criminal, okay?"

Gunshots rang out, exploding in Matt's ears. Hew knew that meant that the police had found Emery. There were two cops coming at he and Frank from either sides. Frank took the gunshots as an opportunity to slide into the space beneath a dumpster.

Matt lunged at Emery and grabbed him by the throat, instinctively.

"Idiot," Emery tsked, even while struggling to get out of Matt's tight grip. "Where is your slave, exactly?"

Matt honed in on Frank with his senses. Frank had skidded underneath the garbage can and was waiting. At least one of the cops had figured it out.

"Come on out, Punisher," he called. "We know you're in there and you're unarmed. Just give it up."

The dumpster was swarmed by police. Emery had made it so that Frank couldn't get out alive without breaking his code and killing someone who was innocent, or at least on the right side of justice. Frank crawled out from under the dumpster, beating back assailants, and shots rang out. There were too many of them and they had bullets. Matt smelled the blood.

Matt let Emery go and ran for Frank.

"Get down," he yelled, putting himself in front of his slave.

Apparently, his tone was enough to make the wounded Frank retreat a little, because Matt heard his body touch the back of the dumpster.

Emery went to flee.

"He's getting away from you again!" Matt yelled at the cops and chased Emery down himself, hoping to draw some of the heat off of Frank.

"Go!" Brett yelled, urging the officers towards Emery.

"Boss, why him?" a cop asked from Brett's side, as he pointed them towards Emery. "Punisher's gonna get away...He's a runaway.'

"Just go, Braxton!" Brett yelled. "Do you wanna die, man? I was on the Punisher case. I've seen the bodies. Just get this Emery creep."

Matt knew he owed the man the world.
