So I know this has no basis in canon, but I'd like a story where Jack Murdock was a homophobe. And because of that, bi!Matt has all this guilt over being attracted to guys.

Basically, angst. Lots of angst and maybe also a happy ending, but that's not required.

It's a routine mugging, until it isn't. The perp swings at him, misses, and then pulls out a fucking taser. It hurts just as much as the one in the car park did, except this time he falls on broken glass instead of cement. The world goes hazy for a while.

There are fingers on the collar of his suit. The woman. Matt frowns, trying to focus. The woman…

"Are you…okay?" he mumbles.

A light laugh from somewhere across the universe. "I think I should be asking you that."

The pain ebbs out to the ocean in waves. Matt inhales sharply and focuses. Not very tall, this woman, and her hair makes a sound of feathers when it brushes against her coat lapels. The hand currently pressed against his cheek is soft, rough, and warm. Her other hand, weirdly, is holding something like a–

"Is that a, a lamp?" he asks.

Another laugh. "Yes."

"Is the mugger gone?"

"Yes."

"I didn't get him."

"No."

Her heart is strong, steady, like the pulse of the sun. He wants to lie here, listening to it. "You chased him off, or did he run?"

"Both." He can hear the smile in her voice. It's a Claire smile, warm and rueful.

"Who are you?"

"Lucia," she says. "And you're Matthew Murdock."

He panics. "That's–completely untrue, you know Matthew Murdock is blind, and obviously I'm not–"

She sighs. "Matthew. Breathe."

He sucks in a breath. It doesn't help. This woman still kneels over him, smelling like salt and sunlight, her hair just tickling his face. She shouldn't know. She didn't take off his mask.

"It's time you went home, I think," she says, taking his hands in hers.

He lets her pull him to his feet. She's not very tall. Just a little thing. She picks the lamp back up and holds it aloft.

"This is a metaphor," she tells him. "Not everything needs physical illumination. Sometimes the heart is enough."

"Wha–" he reaches out, but his fingers meet empty space. He is the only person in this alleyway.

/I'm here when you need me, Matthew,/ his dreams tell him that night. They're full of lamps, and Italy, and palm fronds waving at the sky.

Matt/Foggy - Secret Admirer

Okay, I'm a complete dork but I really want this. Matt has a secret admirer, someone who keeps sending him sweet and surprisingly thoughtful gifts (like maybe because his palate is so sensitive he has trouble eating sweets or something and they send him cupcakes that are fucking amazing because they're organic and made with extremely high quality products) and he's kind of freaking out because some of the gifts seem to imply (to him, anyway) that whoever it is knows his secret identity as Daredevil.

And, you know, as much as Matt likes the gifts he's also suspicious because WTF, who knows his identity, this could be really bad, fuck fuck fuck. So he tries to catch the culprit but doesn't make any headway and he never smells anyone new in the office so he can't figure out how the fuck they're managing to leave him presents - on his desk - in clear view of everyone (Karen really needs to stop eating his cupcakes).

Only, it's obviously just Foggy doing it. He's trying to woo Matt with fine pastry and helpful first aid. The fact that Matt is like trying to conduct a scooby doo mystery to figure out who the guilty party is, is pretty much just an added hilarious bonus for him.

I'd really like two scenes, with the two of them praying for each other, and the differences between them.

Like, Matt actually in a church, praying with the proper Catholic words and asking for Foggy's health and safety.

Juxtaposed with Foggy saying a clumsy prayer some morning in his bedroom, and he's never been religious, but he knows Matt is, so he wants to pray for him. "So, uh, God. I really don't want Matt to die, okay? I know this ridiculous Daredevil bullshit, sorry, is dangerous, and he's got a death wish, but he believes in you, so-- um. Watch out for him. The world needs Matt Murdock, okay?"

so, basically, this OP wants the folks from the MCU be cast in the plotline of Stardust. Matt Murdock is Tristan Thorn (still blind, of course).

And Director Nick Fury is Yvaine.

"Nah, I just happened to stroll by this big-ass crater dressed in a shiny gown and have a big lug of a moron drop down on me. So no, definitely not a star."

We have a bunch of great stuff about how his heightened senses etc can be a pain in the ass for Matt, so how about something where sounds/scents/sensations conspire to relax him instead? Maybe something at the office Foggy and Karen do which makes him all soft and sleepy in spite of himself, particularly after all his self-imposed sleep deprivation at night. Especially if they do it on purpose bc he needs the rest and sleepy!Matt is seriously adorable.

Matt/Fisk: Dragon Shifter AU

In a New York where people can shift into Dragon form at will, Wilson Fisk is considered the top dragon in the city with an empire built not on criminal activity but actual honest work, when he shifts he becomes this massive pure white dragon with black wings. He's the strongest and most respected dragon in the city, and yet he is terribly lonely. Besides his trusted friends Wesley, and Vanessa, Wilson really isn't close to anyone. One night Wilson decides to leave all the burdens of his work life behind and just fly free. He's having the time of his life until he literally almost flies right into the most gorgeous dragon he's ever seen. This dragon is an elegantly built hunter with scales of deep red and onyx black. Wilson immediately feels a pull towards this dragon, but the mystery dragon isn't going to make things easy for Wilson. So begins a sort of arial ballet between them through the air, Wilson chasing/racing against the red and black dragon. At one point Wilson gets cocky and thinks he's got the beautiful dragon corners, only for said dragon to show surprising strength and ingenuity, leaving Wilson pinned, bested, and truly besotted. When the pair shift back into their human forms, Wilson just falls even harder, while also being intrigued beyond words and the tall, well-built, handsome yet blind young man before him introduces himself as Matt Murdock, attorney at law.

Matt/Wilson: The Cell Fusion AU

I have loved Vincent D'Onofrio in everything he's starred in but one of my absolute favorites is The Cell. I would love if someone did a fusion of this where maybe the roles are a bit reversed, where Matt is the one who while fighting as Daredevil gets hurt to where he is locked in a coma and Wilson Fisk is the specialist that is brought in to try and bring Matt out of the coma, traversing through Matt's complicated mind and fighting of the so called Devil Matt feels he has inside him. In the process of being in each others minds, Matt and Wilson connect in a way that can't adequately be described in words. However, dreams are one thing, the waking world is another. They have both been laid bare before each other through their shared experience, now what?

Matt/Wilson: Brutal Brawl Turns into Raging Passion

Inspired by the Buffy the Vampire episode "Smashed", Matt and Wilson are going at it with all of the savage brutality they are capable of, and just as Wilson is taunting Matt, Matt just snaps and smashing his mouth to Wilson's. Things quickly devolve from there, leaving both parties bruised, battered, confused, ashamed, and most importantly of all, hungry for more.

OK, but the first time Foggy calls Matt after their big drama in Nelson V Murdock, and Matt hears his phone ring "Foggy. Foggy. Foggy."

Once Hoffman had entered the police station, he took to the building tops and raced back to his apartment. Matt had carefully laid his work clothes out before leaving; he’d walk back into the office with nary a wrinkle.
The realization hadn’t really set in yet, that they’d done it, or at least, he’d done his part in the mask, and the rest would just be basic lawyering, and letting the FBI do their job. His blood was still running hot from the fight; he wasn’t sure when that crash would happen. Hopefully not in front of anybody.
Stripped out of the outfit, he didn’t have time to shower, but he went to the bathroom anyway, wiped himself down with a wet towel, making sure to grab the one freshly laundered. He wished that could keep him from smelling blood. At least it meant no one else would.
Thoroughly dried, he had his slacks on, and was just buttoning up his shirt when he heard the phone from where he had left it on the table: “Foggy. Foggy. Foggy.”
It hadn’t even been that many days since the last time he’d heard it, the day he’d gone to see Fisk and Foggy had been trying to get a hold of him, and he hadn’t answered because there was nothing then he would have allowed himself to say to him. And it wasn’t exactly an unexpected call; he’d known Foggy and Karen might get the news from the precinct before Matt himself could get back with it. Still the relief, after he’d spent far too long thinking he’d never get a call from him again, shocked him with how overwhelming it was, which was part of the reason he practically bolted to the table with his shirt flying about mostly open.
It was too much in his head as he picked the phone up, though, the way he’d spoken to Foggy before leaving. He couldn’t have done differently, he knew; there really had been no choice and no time, and he even had that fact confirmed now. But when he could still hear Foggy’s devastated final words in his head, his footsteps as he’d walked out, and his voice quavered a little as he answered, “Foggy?”
“Just got off the phone with Brett,” Foggy sounded glad, at least. “Hoffman needs some lawyers.”
“Glad to hear it,” said Matt, feeling some of his tension leave him. “Meet you at the precinct?”
“Yeah,” he said, “and Karen wants to come too. She’s just putting some things in order first.” Indeed, Matt could hear the sound of her footsteps in the background, though it didn’t sound like she and Foggy were in the same room. Especially when Foggy dropped his voice and said, “You did the thing.”
“Yes,” he said; at least he wasn’t lying any longer. “And I only got there in a nick of time; Fisk’s men actually found him first. I was lucky they decided to taunt Hoffman before shooting, that’s literally how close it was.”
“I see,” said Foggy, and Matt could hear the sadness now, and the resignation as he accepted what all that meant. “Where are you right now?”
“In my apartment,” he said. “Changing.”
“So we’ll have to walk slow to avoid getting there first,” he dropped his voice further. “Unless you want to tell her.”
Foggy was going to push that, Matt realized. And perhaps, sooner or later, they would tell Karen. But he couldn’t help thinking it was still too soon for that. “Not today. I’ll move as fast as I can.” He was already working on his shirt buttons one-handed. “Call me again when you’re underway?”
“Yeah,” he said. A pause, Matt waited for him to say goodbye. But instead he said, “Matt…it’s going to be okay. It’s all going to be okay.” He was clearly telling himself that too, but he did sound like he believed it.
“I know,” he said. “See you soon, Foggy.”
“Bye,” said Foggy, and they hung up. Matt did the last button on his shirt, donned his shades, and then threw on his jacket. He kept his hand on the phone even after he slid it into place. He suspected he’d feel that intense gratitude again next time it rang, and maybe even the time after that. He’d nearly lost all that, and he knew he’d never stop being grateful that he hadn’t.

Matt/Fisk: Wilson finds Matt after the fight with Nobu

What would have happened if after Foggy left a severely injured Matt on the couch, the door opens again and Matt thinks it is Foggy coming back, instead it's Wilson Fisk? Matt is powerless as Wilson brazenly takes him out of his apartment and back to his penthouse, he's even more freaked out when Fisk has his wounds treated by his personal physician. This is all just surreal and confusing to Matt, who has felt first hand the kind of brutality Fisk is capable of, and yet Fisk is surprisingly not the same brute now. Wilson tells him that while they may be enemies, they both want the city to be alright, and that Matt does have Wilson's begrudging respect. Once Matt is recovered enough, Wilson lets him leave without incident, but now things have shifted between them, complicating already complicated matters further.

How Fisk found out that Matt is the man in the mask is up to the author.

Foggy has always thought Matt was just a picky eater because of how little he ate. But after catching Matt pinching at his stomach or tracing the outline of his ribs on more than one occassion, Foggy realizes it's a lot worse than he originally thought.
