delicious account! it's only got the first ten pages of prompts at the moment, but mod is very slowly adding the rest. mod would greatly appreciate it if you put keywords in the subject of your prompts, because figuring out one-word summaries is hard. Magic Matt

(Anonymous) 2015-05-15 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Matt paid for law school by stripping.

Re: Magic Matt

(Anonymous) 2015-05-16 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Not quite what you're looking for, but did you see the stripper AU where Matt is a stripper and Foggy is a customer? I swear, I don't even like AUs, but this one was great.

Matt/Foggy sharing a bed

(Anonymous) 2015-05-15 03:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I just want a fic where Foggy and Matt have the habit to sleep in the same bed, all tangled up together and maybe it's entirely platonic (until it isn't).

I'd love a 5 times + 1 but it doesn't have to be that format.
I had something ending up in slash in mind but it's perfectly fine if you the author wanna keep it gen. I just really want to see them clinging to each other in their sleep.

+1 if it started in college
+1000 if Karen caught them one day and they try to explain that bros do that all the time, it's perfectly normal Karen!

Foggy, Karen, Claire, and Matt in spirit - Matt dies

(Anonymous) 2015-05-15 03:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Matt always assumed that not that many people would care when he died. And then he dies, and it turns out he was wrong. The people he met in college care, the people he met in Hell's Kitchen care, the people he helped as a lawyer care, the people he knew at Josie's care, the guy who owns the gym where he boxed cares, the kids he met at St. Agnes (now adults) care, and the people he helped as Daredevil care, because at the end people figured out who Daredevil was. I want a grieving Foggy and Karen (and Claire) blown away by how many people go to Matt's funeral and how many people visit his grave and how many people grieve for him and how much people loved him.

+ bonus points for some of the people he helped in the series being there--the family of the old man he saved, the little boy from the second episode and his dad, etc.

Karen/Wesley, canon divergence

(Anonymous) 2015-05-15 04:23 pm (UTC)(link)
The only reason Karen isn't killed early on even when she poses little threat is that Wesley wants her. When he captures her, he tells her this and where that goes- either Wesley taking her back to his apartment or Karen grabbing the gun and turning the tables- is up to you. (I would prefer no character death but *shrugs*)

+100 if Karen decides to play it out to try and gather more intel
+1000 if Wesley knows and takes advantage of this

Matt/Foggy crack: no homo

(Anonymous) 2015-05-15 05:11 pm (UTC)(link)
So there's been quite a few prompts about Matt/Foggy and being touchy-feely platonic bros (until it isn't platonic, of course). Don't get me wrong, I love those prompts and their fills, but I also kinda laugh at the idea of two real guys like sharing a bed/cuddling/having sex and then being like "But naw really we're just friends, don't you do this with your best bro???"

So yeah. I kind of want some crack where it continues to escalate to absurd levels but seriously, they're just best friends.

Matt wakes up in a Psychiatric Hospital

(Anonymous) 2015-05-15 05:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Matt wakes up in a psychiatric hospital with no memory of what he did to end up there.

It turns out that Foggy was the one who called emergency services to report that Matt was a danger to himself.

What did Matt do to end up there, how does he react to it & how does he react to Foggy now?

Could be set during college or post season 1.

Re: Matt wakes up in a Psychiatric Hospital

(Anonymous) 2015-05-15 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, yes please. I am a terrible person, but the visual of a disoriented and drugged Matt stumbling around in scrubs is one I enjoy. D: I imagine Foggy did it as a total last resort thing - he couldn't take care of Matt (dosed with something by bad guys and flat freaking out? major depressive episode as a natural consequence of too much dare deviln'?) so got him to a place where someone could, and is now working furiously to get him released (in his intake interview, Matt might have mentioned something about seeing a world on fire/having super senses/religious ramblings about guilt and absolution - hospital staff are understandably reluctant to release him).

Foggy & Karen babysit de-aged Matt

(Anonymous) 2015-05-15 06:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Matt gets magically(?) transformed, mentally and physically becoming a kid again with no memories of his adult life. Karen and Foggy have to watch him while trying to find a way to get him back to normal.

Bonus: kid!Matt develops a crush on one (or more) of the adult characters and it's awkward as hell.
Bonus2: Stick shows up for some reason. Whether or not Matt is old enough to know him is up to you.

Don't mind who, but would prefer Elden Henson to wake up one morning and find he is Foggy or Charlie Cox suddenly find that he is Matt. The world of Daredevil is going on around them and nobody else seems to have noticed that anything is wrong. (Except that he is acting a little oddly!)

Karen, Looking at NSFW Content at Work

(Anonymous) 2015-05-15 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
As a secretary myself I know exactly how boring it is when things are slow at the desk. You can't really go anywhere (what if the phone rings??) and no one is coming in the door and you can only pester your coworkers so many times for extra work before it reflects badly on you. So I'd like to see Karen discreetly surfing the web and stumbling from the domain of Facebook and Buzzfeed into the less appropriate parts of the web on company time. I would especially like for Matt to realize she's getting aroused but not being able to figure out why, at least at first (she knows she can't get away with audio for videos). Any pairing, any rating welcome.

Matt/Foggy Alcoholism

(Anonymous) 2015-05-15 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
There are three kind of drunks - happy drunks, sad drunks, and angry drunks. Matt's been around Foggy when he's been a happy drunk, Matt's been around Foggy when he's been a sad drunk, and even though it's rare, he's been there when Foggy's been an angry drunk. When he's happy, Matt's right there with him, smiling and laughing and carrying on. When he's sad, Matt gives him a shoulder to cry on. When he's angry, Matt offers to be his human punching bag.

Foggy/Matt getting married, Foggy quotes Thurgood Marshall at Matt in his vows

(Anonymous) 2015-05-15 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
What it says on the tin, preferably his quality of your intent bit where Marshall says:

Certain people have a way of saying things that shake us at the core. Even when the words do not seem harsh or offensive, the impact is shattering. What we could be experiencing is the intent behind the words. When we intend to do good, we do. When we intend to do harm, it happens. What each of us must come to realize is that our intent always comes through. We cannot sugarcoat the feelings in our heart of hearts. The emotion is the energy that motivates. We cannot ignore what we really want to create. We should be honest and do it the way we feel it. What we owe to ourselves and everyone around is to examine the reasons of our true intent. My intent will be evident in the results.

Maybe Foggy goes first and his voice hitches and Matt knows something is coming but he doesn't expect THAT and is just done. And then Matt is all, UGH SHIT NOT MARSHALL and is blubbering too much to get through his own vows or his voice is cracking like he's a goddamn teenager and there's just crying everywhere all over the place by everyone.

Please and thank you.

Matt/Toby or Karen/Toby or gen: dropped in daredevil universe

(Anonymous) 2015-05-15 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Toby somehow gets dropped into the Daredevil universe after Wesley is killed. Karen and Foggy come across him, and neither of them believe he's an actor from another universe ('Dude at least think up a better lie, like you're a zombie') so they take him to Matt's. Once there though, Matt confirms this person isn't from their universe but they can't risk Fisk getting what he knows, so they keep him hidden.

matt ptsd/sensory overstimulation

(Anonymous) 2015-05-15 10:35 pm (UTC)(link)
ARGH, ok earlier in the thread i took part in a discussion reg. matt, violent-maladapted-dude-trying-really-hard-to-be-good, and idk, I was thinking about that, giving myself The Feels, when i realized.

like. one of the big "get a handle on your ptsd attacks/anxiety attacks/whatever" tricks (that I got taught, anyways) was using sensory input to ground yourself. feeling panicky and weird? touch a thing! smell a (good) thing! get back into your body by paying attention to your senses, y'know?

did matt get taught that, in his trauma group? does it work? is one of the reasons he mentions a trauma group in the past but we never see him going or talking about a current group or therapist in the show? maybe they gave him those kind of tips, he found them useless, with his hyped-up senses, decided all of modern psychiatric care was useless, and moved on?

like. idk, talk to me about this, anons

Karen/Matt: voice kink

(Anonymous) 2015-05-15 10:35 pm (UTC)(link)
When Matt said he liked listening to Karen's voice he /really/ meant it. Cue Karen making ordinary calls in the office and Matt becoming increasingly turned on and guilty.

+if Karen figures it out and makes a fake phone call just to say erotic things out of context, not knowing that Matt can normally hear the other person
++if Matt confronts her and there's office sex

Foggy was obsessed with Matt as a kid

(Anonymous) 2015-05-15 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
When Foggy and Matt meet for the first time, Foggy knows who he is instantly, I realize he's a smart guy and probably has a fairly epic memory, but to instantly put two and two together and realize exactly who his new roommate is, remember what he did and everything seems a bit much. So what if he was following the story closely as a kid, like, he saw it in the paper his dad was reading and became obsessed with this hero boy who had been essentially punished for doing a good deed. Maybe he even saw him around once or twice and was totally awestruck by him, he fell in love with him in his head, even if in an entirely platonic way.

Of course, years passed and he moved on to other things, but he still thought about him from time to time, wondered what he was doing, if he was okay, etc, and then one day he just walks into his dorm room, and Foggy can't believe it. That would account for his weird babbling about how good looking Matt is or whatever he said.

Write me something, anything, where Matt was always a hero to Foggy, long, long before he even thought about putting on a mask.

FILL: Foggy & Matt, pre-Foggy/Matt You've been on my mind (I see nothing without you)

(Anonymous) 2015-05-17 07:57 am (UTC)(link)
It was a long day at school, and the boys that like to give him a hard time were particularly malicious after they all poured out of the bus this afternoon. They blocked his path and took their sweet time getting bored enough of all their tired taunting material that they would let him go, and all he wants now that he is home is to have a snack and to try and catch an hour or so of MTV before his parents get home from work. His big sister is already in her room with the door locked, yacking away on the phone, so that’s taken care of. (Foggy still thinks his parents were crazy, giving Cindi her own phone line, but at least it keeps her occupied.)

He wanders into the kitchen and finds the bag of chips that belong to his dad, which his mom hasn’t discovered - yet. After putting some into a bowl, he returns the illicit bag to its hiding place and heads toward the living room, where the T.V. awaits.

It takes him five minutes to locate the remote. Technically, it should have been right on top of the T.V., since that was where they are all supposed to put it after turning the boob tube off, but they all forget. He finds it trapped between the cushions of the old, well-used couch and finally, finally gets to turn the T.V. on.

His dad must have been the last one to watch anything, because it’s on his favorite news channel. Foggy frowns and goes to change it, but then he stops, his attention snagged by the story that is the hook for the evening news:

the boy is currently in the hospital, being treated for exposure to the toxic chemicals that were allegedly being taken to a company that specializes in disposing of hazardous waste, and the man he saved is being treated for a concussion. He is expected to make a full recovery. As for what will happen to our brave young hero, the future is currently uncertain.

Eyes now glued to the screen, Foggy read the scrolling information at the bottom.

NINE YEAR-OLD BOY SAVES ELDERLY MAN FROM BEING KILLED BY AN ONCOMING TRUCK CARRYING TOXIC WASTE. BOY COULD BE PERMANENTLY BLINDED BY THE CHEMICALS.

He keeps watching for the rest of the hour, feeling a strange desperation to find out something - anything - more than what has already been said. Eventually, after thirty minutes of stuff which interests him not at all - except, possibly, the reminder that flu season is headed their way, and it is time to get vaccinated again - they pick up the story. The woman, dressed in her drab brown pantsuit with the shoulder pads that make her look ready to join the major league football team of her choice, fleshes out the details of the incident. The boy was spending time with his father after school, getting ice cream from a vendor, when he spotted an elderly man trying to cross after the lights had already switched. The boy raced over and pushed the elderly man out of the way, and a truck swerved and the driver lost control, causing the truck to tip over and unleash its dangerous cargo, some of which landed on the boy.

His name is Matthew Murdock, and he’s a Hell’s Kitchen boy, born and raised by his father, Battlin’ Jack Murdock.

A little while later, the hour ends, and Foggy shuts off the T.V., no longer interested in watching music videos.

It feels like something life-altering just happened. He swears, he feels as though his life will never be the same after what happened to that other boy, even though they’ve never met. That the course of his own life has been changed irrevocably.

His parents come home and find him sitting in the middle of the couch, staring down at the hands clenched together in his lap.

Naturally, his mom thinks it’s because of those boys bothering him again, and he lets her believe it, because the truth feels too big to share with his hard-working, Irish, blue-collar parents, who love and adore him, but don’t always understand him. But in the days and weeks after, he checks the news every evening, hoping to hear more about Matthew - ‘Matt’, actually, as he shyly tells the reporter in the one interview his father allows.

Foggy cries after the interview airs, because Matt’s eyes looked perfect, except for the way they didn’t look at all. They couldn’t focus on anything.

This kid, this brave, selfless boy risked his life to save someone else, and now, he will never be able to see again.

Eventually, Foggy wipes his nose on his sleeve and scrubs at his eyes and resolves to nicer to people. To do more, and take less, and to try to make Hell’s Kitchen a better place, because Matt Murdock is a hero, but now he needs a little help. He can’t take care of the people of this city on his own.

A month later, on a Saturday afternoon, he hears a strange, rhythmic tapping sound on the sidewalk that delineates his favorite park. He glances up and his whole body jerks, because that’s him. That’s Matt Murdock, with his sightless eyes concealed behind dark-tinted lenses, and with his cane, which is the source of the tapping. He is shadowed carefully by Battlin’ Jack, though Foggy can tell he is trying desperately to seem as though he is not being overprotective (Is there any way to be too protective of this boy?).

“Baby, don’t stare,” Foggy’s mom admonishes gently from where she sits on the park bench.

Foggy shakes himself and turns to nod at his mom. “Yes, ma’am.”

For two years, he searches the sidewalks for signs of Matt Murdock, and every so often, he finds him. He follows Battlin’ Jack’s matches, too, confusing his old man. Foggy’d never been much for boxing, before, but, well. News of the Murdock who interests him the most is hard to come by, and he does feel somewhat invested in how Matt’s father does in the ring.

It’s a bit hard, having to watch Battlin’ Jack lose all the time, but he reminds himself that it must be even harder for Matt, and keeps watching.

He jumps up off the couch and cheers like mad when the man finally wins a match, elated, and ignores the bemused look on his dad’s face. He wishes he could congratulate Matt. Could tell him how happy he is for him and his father. He contents himself with doing a little victory dance, and imagines going to see a game in person.

A few days later, when he checks the news his face goes white, and the sounds in his ears cut out, and he sways a little on the couch.

Matt gets sent to an orphanage - St. Agnes - after the funeral.

Foggy never watches a boxing match again.

He doesn’t hear anything about Matthew Murdock again until college, when the boy - now a young man - himself walks in. Foggy makes a complete ass of himself, revealing far too much about his childhood investment in Matt’s story, and more than he’d like about what he thinks, seeing Matt all grown up in all the right ways, but Matt, bless him, takes it all in stride, and it is a messy but amiable start to a beautiful friendship.

And then they’re in their early thirties, and up to their eyeballs in debt, and he is standing in his best friend’s apartment and remembering sitting on that ratty old couch, listening to the newswoman talking about the chemicals that got in a nine-year-old boy’s eyes, and about that pair of young, vulnerable eyes that could not look straight at the reporter during that lone interview, and he wonders if anything is real.

He comes to grips with everything eventually, and he remembers with startling clarity the certainty he’d had as a kid that what he’d seen had changed his life forever - as surely and as permanently as it had changed Matt’s, and then they work together, with an enormous amount of help from Karen, to take that bastard Fisk down, and it is a beautiful, perfect moment, as the three of them sit together in Josie’s and drink to their victory and to the people who were lost along the way. (He feels a fresh stab of guilt over missing Ben’s funeral, but then he shoves it away, reminding himself that what Marci had found was important, and also that guilt is Matt’s thing, not Foggy’s.)

When Fisk is broken out of the police van, the whole thing has an air of inevitability, because perfect moments are never meant to last.

He knows what Matt will do before Matt is even moving, and as much as he hates it, hates the thought of him going out there and getting hurt again, he still jumps in to help distract and reassure Karen enough that he and his best friend can step away and speak freely.

“Go,” he tells him. “Go be a hero,” when what he really wants to say is Go be yourself, because Matt Murdock has always been a hero. Now, he simply has some unusual abilities that Foggy hopes like hell will help him stay alive.

karen/matt: exhibitionism

(Anonymous) 2015-05-15 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Karen wanting to strengthen her kegel muscles, starts walking around with inserted kegel balls. She realizes she really enjoys light stimulation in public, and one day decides to up the ante to a vibrator or plug. Around this point Matt, who has been feeling rather turned on and awkward about all this, decides he has to tell her that he can sense these things and maybe don't bring sex toys to work.

Naturally, Karen ignores this.

Matt/Foggy: mates, werewolves, getting together, first time

(Anonymous) 2015-05-16 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
It wasn't the toxic chemicals that caused Matt's enhanced senses, though they did make him go blind. What makes him so attuned to the world around him came after, when he got lost one night on his way home from school and got bit by some kind of wolf.

It takes Matt until the full moon to figure out that it wasn't actually a wolf. It was a werewolf. And now he is, too.

Matt doesn't know any other werewolves. The one that bit him was a rogue just passing through Hell's Kitchen on the full moon, and being packless, he went a little insane. Matt thinks he has all the pack he needs in his dad, but then his dad dies.

Stick still comes to him in the orphanage, because Matt struggles not to go feral without his pack. Stick abandons him after Matt begins to form a pack bond with him. Matt forces himself to stay sane.

Things progress pretty close to canon after that. There's just one problem: Stick never bothered to explain the concept of mates, so when Matt first meets Foggy, he has no idea why he is so drawn to him.

Up to you if Fisk is also a werewolf and Wesley his beta, with Vanessa as his mate, or if they're all human, and Matt's part of a very select population.

Foggy/Matt or Gen: The Lucifer and Michael AU

(Anonymous) 2015-05-16 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
Lucifer and Michael independently decide they don't want to stick around for the apocalypse and fight to the death thing that they're supposed to do and take human form because humanity has got far more interesting in recent years.

Years later they pretend to be ignorant of each others identities whilst making their own law firm.

Bonus points if Karen is aware of their true selves.
Bonus points for use of 'chococalpse' when they run out of sweets.

Um HELLO. How did I not see this before?

Because yes AMAZING.

(Although aren't Lucifer and Michael brothers? That might make some... shippy things awkward. Possibly.)
