Slave!Matts + Canon Matt

(Anonymous) 2015-12-10 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I just want a scene where the slave!Matts meet the canon Matt and have to interact for a couple of hours--the snuff-bait!Matt, the opposite-of-snuff-bait!Matt, the slave!Matt from the 'slave Matt latches onto the Punisher', the 'Foggy gets slave!Matt instead of an iPad for college' Matt. All of them.

Does the snuff-bait!Matt immediately go into panicked disassociation? Does the opposite-of-snuff-bait!Matt decide to seduce/butter up the canon Matt? Does the Foggy-owned!Matt become protective of the more childlike snuff-bait!Matt? Does the nonverbal assassin!Matt become disdainful of canon Matt's fails? Do they have angry arguments about which owners are better? Does the opposite-of-snuff-bait!Matt compare notes about Foggy with the other owned-by-Foggy!Matts? Does the nonverbal assassin!Matt try to come onto the others?

Yes yes yes to all of these

Minifill, Opposite-of-snuff-bait!Matt's reaction

(Anonymous) 2015-12-10 05:20 pm (UTC)(link)
There's a loud awful screeching sound, like nails against a blackboard all over again, and then he's thrown onto a hardwood floor.

Matt blinks, listening as best he can with his ears ringing, reaching out a hand. He's on a hardwood floor, cheap, with nothing on it--no rugs or kneeling pads. There's a soft couch, windows, and the walls feel like Hell's Kitchen brick. It's strange.

There's a kitchen five or so feet to his left, a fridge and stove and counters and cabinets, and a bathroom on his right, and--

The bedroom has silk sheets.

Oh.

Wherever he is, Matt realizes that this must be an owner's place, a free person's home. No slave, even the ones like him, would have both a bed *and* silk sheets. The closest he ever got was Egyptian cotton, and that was when he was sharing it with Mistress Sharon.

Matt rolls from where he was on the floor, head mildly painful, into a kneeling position, head tilted to one side and eyes lowered as much as he can. He's learned well what sighted owners like to see.

There's moans and pops and suddenly there's more people, all of them accompanied by that screeching noise. He does not flinch. Matt, slave number 556682394441, has never and will never flinch. He did not flinch when Stick hit him with his cane or clubs. He did not flinch when Mistress Sharon poured hot wax onto his balls, laughing. He did not flinch when Master Edmund ripped out his pubic hair with tweezers for hours. He will not flinch now.

There's the noises three times, and then there's three other humans in the room. Two of them are wearing collars; one is not, but there's something about his--his, definitely--body language that suggests slavery. They're not disciplined, and so Matt suppresses the urge to sigh and hisses, as low and commanding as he dares, "Get onto your knees. When whoever it is gets back, we need to be on our knees."

There's a pause and then the two collared slaves scramble into kneeling, one of them shaking and the other still and watchful. The one without a collar moves slowly into the same kneeling position as Matt.

It's a quiet five minutes and thirteen seconds before one whispers to the other, "Do you know what's going on?"

Matt sighs and says, angry, "Don't speak. You don't want to be caught talking about the owner when they get here."

The whispering one whimpers and goes silent, and Matt sighs again inwardly. Amateurs.

It's been years since he had--peers to protect, instead of an army of house-slaves and business-slaves to wage quiet war on. Most of them were jealous and furious of the degree, the soft kneeling cushions, the way the owners' hands would scratch his scalp and get him chocolates for Christmas.

Matt didn't tell them he dreamed about killing his owners most of the time, didn't tell them about the one who he'd snapped and injected with air because he was going to make Matt into a pet. Matt has nothing against Pets, personally, he got along well with 'Trixie' or whatever Mistress Sharon had named hers (they collaborated and between the two of them Mistress Sharon was never unhappy enough for true punishment) but he has no desire to be one.

And now he's so valuable with his mind as well as his body that he never will be. Matt smiles to himself.

He thinks of the uncollared one. It might be a Pet, certainly, in which case Matt can get alone with it, he thinks. With some work, he can have everything how he likes it, the collar at least leather.

--

After it's been established, painfully, that all four of them are alternate versions of the person who owns this apartment, that this world does not have legal slavery in the United States (where the apartment most certainly is), Matt frowns to himself and turns to the one who'd whimpered earlier.

"Which class are you? Of slave?"

The whimpering one says, quietly and scared, "Uh, technically study aid?"

"Technically? Tell me the truth." Matt can hear lies, it's one of his advertised skills.

"I was--I guess I was snuff-bait, but the Nelsons bought me and so I'm not anymore. I don't think Foggy would kill me, he'd have me put down," he answers slowly.

Matt blinks to himself and says, slowly, "Snuff-bait? Do they just not know about our--abilities? Do you not have them?" He asks, horror mounting.

"I have the same abilities as you!" he snaps back, sounding full of wounded pride. "I just--they're not my papers or anything, are they on yours?"

Matt says, firmly and proudly, "Yes. They are. That's how I've lived this long. That's why I'm so expensive."

There's a sound of breaking glass in the kitchen as the owner-version shatters a glass in his hands and Matt immediately sinks to his knees, grabbing the arms of the whimpering snuff-bait version (he can't believe he's even thinking that, snuff-bait, how did he even get that low and worthless), and pulling them down to kneel with their head flat on the ground, face down. It's the only sensible way to react to angry violence like that--calm the owner down.

Matt doesn't pay much attention to the others--the uncollared one seems to be unable to speak, but is frowning and keeps going to the windows, trying to get out, and the other one is also kneeling because at least that one's trained a little bit. The owner version is stammering now, angry but also--sad? Regretful? strange--and calls someone named Claire to please come to the apartment, he needs some help.

--

Matt's never met anyone named Claire who was also a nurse, or in any medical field, but she's not his current owner, doesn't want anything from him, and this owner is more sexually interested in her than in him plus her, so he can't bring himself to care very much about her, except that the uncollared version does seem to know her, flitting around her and making soft confused noises.

It's when it tries to pet her hair that he grabs its wrist and drags it backward, on some long-forgotten reflex from when he was the only trained (smart) slave in a house and the owner had bought two fresh ones, and he'd had to get them to stop doing idiotic things because they would get themselves killed.

"You can't just touch a free person," he scolds the uncollared one. "Especially not a free woman's hair! Do you know what they do to slaves who do things like that? One of my masters once whipped the back off a slave just for smiling too much at his sister. If it had touched her hair he'd have had those hands cut off. Don't ever do that again!"

The others are turned to face him, he realizes, and then he smoothly goes to his knees again and murmurs, "Of course it's your decision how to discipline your property, I'm sorry for being insolent," and waits.

this is so good! I would love to read some more from the others POV (or more of the same).

This is fantastic. I love canon!Matt's responses and the protective frustration in this Matt's POV. I do wonder how assassin!Mattowould respond to that last outburst, though!

Re: Minifill, Opposite-of-snuff-bait!Matt's reaction

(Anonymous) 2015-12-10 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
OMG! Such an interesting fill so quickly! But you gotta help me, I do read all of the slave AUs, but I think I might have mixed them up a bit -

the uncollared one is...Trouble, right? And the other two collared ones would be Snuff and Ipad, right? Though I thought Snuff had a tattoo not a collar...? I'm guessing, because Ipad seems to be the least conditioned, he's the one who asks first what's going on? (though if he was, that one likely would have hissed back 'Trust me, any free people approaching this apartment, I'd hear them long before they hear me.') So maybe it was snuff after all who asked?

(edit: yup, it was Snuff. Ignore the earlier question...)

And trouble tries to touch Claire's hair. Oh dear, does Canon have a fun day ahead. XD

Ipad has kept back so far, but since he's the one least affected by his slavery background (I think) I think his reaction would be...well, after the initial freak-out...he'd probably want to ask whether Foggy exists in this universe. He'd also be horrified both of Trouble as well as protective of Snuff, since snuff is probably the youngest. Ipad is a little older and he likely recognizes himself a few years ago in Snuff's position, only Snuff evidently wasn't as lucky with his owners as Ipad. Ipad might also be the one most likely to start picking a bone with Opposite (who is very controlling of the other slaves, even if he thinks it's for their own good) but Ipad probably doesn't like other slaves lording it over their peers. Trouble is a wild card, he doesn't recognize anyone other than Frank as his master (and boy, do I wanna see canon's face when he finds out XD), but I'm not the one writing him, so I can't say much :P But yes, highly intriguing! Do they have to get Tony Stark to send them back...?

Re: Minifill, Opposite-of-snuff-bait!Matt's reaction

(Anonymous) 2015-12-11 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you so much!

The whimpering one is Snuff, yeah, and iPad is sort of fading into the background at the moment, scoping things out. He's not as bold or as self-assured as Opposite, certainly, and Opposite's definitely very much trying to reign in everyone's reactions and get a household running smoothly. Honestly, that's been Opposite's unofficial job for years now, coordinating pets, other bed-slaves, other personal assistants/bodyguards all to make owner/s happy, and I imagine by this point Opposite's just glad that none of them have truly tried to challenge his assumed authority. Also, Matt's a control freak in pretty much everything, I feel like.

Heh. Trouble is kind of hard for me to write in, because the only slave-Matt I've written before is meta/prompt for the Opposite-of-snuff-bait-Matt, and so I don't have a handle on the others.

I'd love to see other slave!Matt writers weighing in and adding what they think would happen, too!

Minifill, Ipad!Matt's reaction

ayrt: I'm the writer of Ipad - in his case, I guess it really depends on where in his timeline you snatch him from? Like, at the beginning he would try to melt into the background as much as possible, but, later...(alternate version of your fill that I tried to keep as consistent as possible -anyone, feel free to continue/play around with it, if you want! I'm interested in how Opposite would react aferwards, as well :p )

Oh.

For a moment, Matt feels overwhelmed by his own silliness, because obviously he's *home*, this is *his* place, the place he was allowed to pick and Foggy rented for him, but then stills, again. There are things wrong here. Some of the furniture is different. There's more of it, and - he reaches out to feel along one of the chairs - it definitely feels more expensive.

But at the same time the couch still smells like his own blood, and that is something you definitely cannot fake. Matt gets to his feet, gingerly. The fingers of his left hand run almost on automatic, checking whether the thin, wide, almost-invisible-when-you-wear-a-shirt-over-it -collar is still in place, and it is. Matt has torn feelings about the thing - on the one hand, it was the first thing Foggy gave him, and it lets him have a lot of freedoms, but on the other hand it's a *collar*. Matt wants to hold on to it and tear it off his neck in equal measure most days, and usually goes with doing his best to forget he's wearing it at all. (It is a strategy that has as of yet failed to work very well.)

The next moment, however, all thoughts of collars are forgotten as the horrible noise from ten seconds ago repeats and there's moans and pops and suddenly there's more people, all of them accompanied by that screeching noise. Suddenly, there are three more humans in the room and Matt readies himself to - he doesn't quite know what. Run? Fight to defend his not-home? It's too late for hiding, at any rate, and he considers just playing his usual, 'I'm a free blind person who wandered in here by mistake-' card, hoping no one will ask him for an ID he doesn't have - when he notices something.

Namely, that all three of those bodies not only smell very similar, but also that their heartbeat sounds the exact same.

It sounds exactly like the one he's been hearing his entire life, to be precise.

"Uh," he starts, swallowing, but then one of the other...doubles? He has *no* idea what is going on, seems to have taken stock of the situation much faster than he himself has, because he turns his head into his direction and hisses, in Matt's own voice - "Get onto your *knees*. When whoever it is that owns this place gets back, we need to be on our knees."

And Matt freezes. How does the other *know*? He hasn't been ordered to kneel in five years - not since Foggy got him - and he can feel himself breathing faster at the idea of being discovered. How...?!

And then something strikes him. Namely, that not only do the other two people in the room with him comply instantly, but they also move like someone used to obeying, like someone used to being on all fours. And then it suddenly clicks.

Slaves. He's here with three other versions of himself, and they're all slaves.

The realization hits him hard enough that he sinks to his knees without even thinking, head spinning. What is this? Is this a dream? He knows Foggy is working hard toward freeing him. Is this some sort of universal hint, that he isn't *meant* to be free? Or did he hit his head on a fire escape and this is some delirious fantasy, composed of his nightmare material?

Matt wants to moan, and clutch at his head until he wakes up, so he doesn't even notice how much time has passed until one of the others whispers to his neighbour "Do you know what's going on?" but is harshly shushed by an angry "Don't speak!" from the version of himself that had spoken first, and *that* gets Matt back into the present.

This isn't a dream. This all feels too real, and he has to get his head in gear. There are three versions of him, all right, and he can tell that they're distinct.

The one that had spoken first - the imperious one - is kneeling all the way to the left and his heartbeat is tense, but still controlled. His movements are fluid and graceful, speaking of hidden strength. Matt thinks he might be about the same age as him. The one who just asked, though, is far younger, perhaps still a teenager, and he hunches miserably on the floor now, heart beating fast with terror. Matt's fists clench. Whoever owned this version of himself deserves to *pay*. The third one...is a bit strange to his senses, to be honest. He seems younger than him and Imperious, but definitely older than Terrified, hasn't spoken yet, but apparently listened intently, and his movements are more reminiscent of an animal than a slave. Matt has the worst suspicions, but swallows them down for a moment, because Imperious - of course, who else? - is already speaking again, addressing the kid, who whimpers.

"You don't want to be caught talking about the owner when they get here."

And Matt can't stop himself from finally speaking up.

"The 'owner', when he gets here, is going to be *us*," he says, sharply, "because this is *my* apartment. And now will you *stop* terrifying the kid?"

Which is exactly the point where the key in the lock turns, they all freeze, and then the door slooooowly opens and a very familiar, fifth voice says, "Okay, what the fuck is going on in here?" and it all descends into chaos.

---

After it's been established, painfully, that all four of them are alternate versions of the person who owns this apartment, that this world does not have legal slavery in the United States (where the apartment most certainly is), Matt still feels completely at sea, but is glad that they're by now at least all sitting on the furniture like people, while the Matt who is at home in this world, apparently has a quiet freak-out in the kitchen or something. Matt thinks he can't really blame him.

(He really is just glad that there *is* a version of him as a free man. His hope to be one too isn't so insane, maybe.)

Only that means that he is now left with three other versions of himself, and the bossy same-age one seems to have taken an interest in the kid.

"Which class are you? Of slave?"

The kid flinches, but then replies, quietly and scared, "Uh, technically, study aid?"

"Technically? Tell me the truth," Imperious asks, and Matt has the faint suspicion that he is definitely not the only one who has heard the faint heart-beat skip, then. He rises.

"Hey. Will you stop picking on the kid? I'm a study-aid, too. Why don't you ask me some questions instead of terrifying him?"

"You seemed less likely to get us all killed or whipped," Imperious has turned his head, and his voice sounds cool. "Maybe I made an error in judgement."

"The main error you made is trying to be bully toward the one *teenager* in the room," Matt grates. He has taken more than one beating when it came to trying to protect younger slaves. Going up against himself doesn't sound nearly as terrifying. Imperious rises as well, seemingly up to the challenge, when the kid speaks up again, sounding as worried as any slave when it seems like there's a fight to break out -

"I was--I guess I was snuff-bait, but the Nelsons bought me and so I'm not anymore. I don't think Foggy would kill me, he'd have me put down," he answers quickly, adding anxiously, "Please don't fight because of me, I'm okay."

The reactions are pretty much immediate.

"Snuff-bait? Do they just not know about your--abilities? Do you not *have* them?"

"Foggy would have you WHAT?!"

Matt thinks, deliriously, that the other, look-at-me-I'm-in-charge-Matt sounds equally as horrified as him, but apparently for a completely different reason.

"I do have the same abilities as you!" the kid snaps back, sounding full of wounded pride, and ah, *there*'s the Murdock temper that makes for the worst slaves, ever, Matt knows, and he adds, "And I meant what I said. When he doesn't need me any more, Foggy wouldn't sell me. It won't be bad to be put down by him."

Matt feels like the floor under his feet just dropped away. This Matt is *also* owned by Foggy and there is a Foggy who would...?

"Also, my abilities - they're just not on my papers or anything, are they on yours?"

And Imperious says, firmly and proudly, "Yes. They are. That's how I've lived this long. That's why I'm so expensive."

There's a sound of breaking glass in the kitchen as the owner-version shatters a glass in his hands and Matt can't blame him. He wants to break things, too.

"God, that's...that's...I don't even know what that is. Are you trying to tell me you're *proud* of being a slave?" he asks, but Imperious is already ignoring him, having dropped back to the floor as soon as their fifth dropped the glass. Matt remembers that reflex from years ago, won't pretend it isn't still there, sometimes, when Foggy swears or gets angry at something, but he forces himself not to react now.

Imperious seems to give him up for a lost cause or something, because he mainly grabs the kid by the arms as he goes down, and pulls both of them down to kneel with their head flat on the ground, face down. Technically, Matt knows that that's the only sensible way to react to angry violence like that--calm the owner down.

But the only owner he'd ever still do that for is Foggy, and that is because Foggy would never want him to.

"Let him up," he says, low and dark to the one who is ignoring him, "What he does isn't your decision to make."

---

Claire, at least, is welcomingly familiar. God knows how much insanity Matt has already pulled her into in his own world, and she seems to expect as much from the Matt of this world, checking them over without so much as a comment too many as to where this army of clones is suddenly coming from. Matt himself isn't too badly damaged, some cuts, some bruises, the usual things Foggy frowns at him for, and the Matt of this world seems similar. Imperious doesn't seem to have many non-healed wounds at all, which makes Matt wonder whether all of them even do go out as Daredevil. The one non-verbal Matt that seems to have some strange mental issues or something, is the worst off, and Claire works on him first.

It's when he tries to pet her hair that Imperious grabs his wrist and drags it backward.

"You can't just touch a free person," he scolds him. "Especially not a free woman's hair! Do you know what they do to slaves who do things like that? One of my masters once whipped the back off a slave just for smiling too much at his sister. If it had touched her hair he'd have had those hands cut off. Don't ever do that again!"

Issues whimpers and the kid gasps in terror, while the Matt of this world and Claire stare. Matt himself can feel himself gaping at this declaration, and gaping still Imperious he smoothly goes to his knees again and murmurs, "Of course it's your decision how to discipline your property, I'm sorry for being insolent," and waits.

"Matt," Claire murmurs to the free version of them, now clearly freaked out. "What the hell."

"Excuse me," Matt says instead, dropping down into a crouch next to the one who apparently has appointed himself their personal trainer, and hisses, "For Christ's sake, will you stop *frightening* everyone?!" (although a voice in his head murmurs 'The kid belongs to a Foggy who would have him put down. If that were your Foggy, there is nothing more frightening you can imagine')

(And he is already frightened. He seems himself, young and terrified and apparently ended with the worst version of a Foggy imaginable, nothing like his Foggy, who makes him feel safe and allowed him to be a person again, and he sees himself, maybe broken beyond repair, certainly beyond reason if that other version can't even *talk* anymore, and he sees himself, apparently *happy* as a slave, taking *pride* in it and he isn't sure whether that isn't actually the worst version of them all. The one thing he can cling to is perhaps the version of himself where he is free, a sign that things don't *have* to turn out badly, but the Matt of this world also seems completely unable to cope with the idea of himself enslaved at all, not used to living with the daily horror like the four of them are, and isn't very much help.)

Matt desperately wishes Foggy was here.

This is so great. I cant imagine what Matt si thinking and frustation at eharings the not snuff bait Matt, how disipline he is and how he takes slavery.

Most of thsi prompts end up having Foggy as owners. Imagine the Matt's from teh snuff bait oer the uncollared one reactions to him. What will they do. Wikll they kneel to his owner, will they ask him for him.

I can imagine Snuff bait Matt asking Foggy to please get them home, he doesntw ant to be tehre and they have work tomorrow.

Thank you so much!

I think Opposite was actually at an auction house when he got pulled into this world, so he'd be vaguely wary and annoyed by Foggy (who comes off as glib and irritable and naive). I think Trouble also would be mostly indifferent because I guess Trouble's just trying to figure out a) what the fuck is going on and b) how/can he find his Master.

Snuff and iPad might calm down marginally with Foggy there, because they both are at least vaguely familiar with him. Plus, being there with a free person version of themselves is...creepy to them, and uncomfortable, and a stark reminder of what they could have been. Opposite does not actually like canon!Matt even a little bit.

Oh yeah. I totally forgot that Snuff bait Matt is currently living with Foggy and he doesnt want to make Matt unconfortable. He wants to help him and tell him how he can hel him.
Ipad will be the one that is mixed with The Avengers and being Daredevil. The one that likes to be owned by Foggy, right?

I love/am amused that Slave!Matt is enough of a trope in our fandom that this is even possible.

I was just thinking that and musing on how certain tropes seem to develop in certain damsons.
Apparently for DD it is slave!fic

Not to self-promote too much, but...

http://otpodcast.tumblr.com/post/134803540921/episode-7-of-our-show-is-about-all-things#disqus_thread

We talked about tropes in DD fandom in the most recent podcast, and Slavery AUs came up. As did BDSM fic featuring sub!Matt, and our fandom's love of romance tropes and recent trend towards the cracky side of things.

You're right that all fandoms have their things though. Supernatural fandom has so much bestiality fic that it blew my mind, as well as a lot of tentacle porn. Teen Wolf fandom is for obvious reasons big on A/B/O. Sherlock fandom has a ton of romantic trope fic, but also a fair amount of Slavery AUs too from what I've seen. I've been told that Glee fandom's thing for a long time was Alternate First Meeting AUs, and in Marvel fandom you've got Hydra Trash Party, which is a very specific kind of humiliation, non-con and dubcon trope.

I'm super interested in tropes that end up being super specific to a fandom. I feel like with DD, it's not just that we have Slavery AUs, but we've gotten fairly specific kinds of Slavery AUs happening within that framework, based on characterizations of Matt as a person overcoming victimhood and Foggy as a fluffy, open-hearted innocent.

More than the AUs though, I would say that our fandom's big thing is pining and sometimes one-sided unrequited romance between Matt and Foggy. Which I adore it for.

But yeah... the Slavery AUs are interesting and the idea of them all crossing over is cool and a testament to how good some of the worldbuilding has been in them and the creativity of their authors. I wonder if AO3 lets you tag a fic with more than one Related Work?

Re: Slave!Matts + Canon Matt

(Anonymous) 2015-12-10 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Hm. I wonder why that is - like, I also have a feeling that the slavery AUs get way more discussion and fills, proportionally than the rest of the prompts (which as a total sucker for slavery fic I don't mind at all XD). Is it because the fandom is smaller than SPN or Sherlock and there's just a few really active slavery fans? Also, this seems to be more a kinkmeme thing...maybe it's because kinkmeme is a place that already attracts lovers of extremes, and slavery is as extreme as it gets?

Fill: Slave!Matts + Canon Matt 1/2

(Anonymous) 2015-12-12 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
Okay I'm the other filler anon, bit late to the party so it doesn't quite fit with the latest two fills. I had IpadMatt right at the begining of his relationship with Foggy (sort of where the first story currently is)but I do love the fill above where it's later in the relationship and poor IpadMatt is just horrified by everything.

This follows after the first fill and is the unfortunate canon Matt's reaction

Matt growls in frustration at bossy Matt who has just collapsed back onto his knees. What’s he supposed to do with him? Bossy Matt’s actions are clearly inspired by a protective impulse, but he can’t have him shouting at the others. Mute Matt actually seems pretty unbothered, pulling back and hissing viciously.

“He just folded his arms,” Claire narrates, “and he’s wearing your fuck the hell off face times about ten.”

But Scared Matt seems likely crumple into a frightened ball at any moment, and Matt doesn’t understand why, since they are all obviously him, but Scared Matt feels most like him, for all that Scared Matt is smaller and lighter with the high fast heartbeat of a young person. He smells most like him, Matt realizes, not quite the same but close, like a younger brother.

Watchful Matt doesn’t seem to appreciate Bossy Matt either. He edges closer to Scared and nudges him with his elbow, “You okay?”

“Yes sir,” says Scared, and super-senses are not required to pick up the lie.

“You said your owner was called Foggy?”

“Yes sir,” Scared sounds more cheerful.

Matt sniffs the air, tilting his head to check, and yes, that’s why Scared smells so much like him, he has a haze of Foggy scent around him. Watchful smells a little like Foggy, Mute and Bossy not at all.

He’s been trying to keep the crazy side of his life from Foggy, and when Foggy’s finding one Matt a burden, dumping another four on him seems a recipe for disaster, but Scared is actually standing up straight and his heart is calming from its frantic flutter in his chest. If Matt was lost in strange place he’d want Foggy and if he can’t supply Scared’s Foggy he can least call his Foggy. He gets out his phone and winces at Foggy’s grumpy hello.

“Hey,” he says as casually as he can manage given the circumstances, “You busy?”

“What the hell have you done now, Murdock?”

“I haven’t done anything,” Matt exclaims with the outrage of innocence. It’s not his fault he suddenly has another four of him. “But you know, if you’re not busy or anything, you could drop by?”

Across the room Watchful shifts his shoulders, “I’ve just been given to a Foggy. He doesn’t seem such a bad owner.”

“Foggy is a really good owner,” says Scared earnestly. “He promised he was never going to sell me, when he gets tired of me he’ll just put me down.”

“Oh my God,” says Claire.

The smile drops off Matt’s face and he says to Foggy, “Or you know, maybe not.”

“Oh like hell,” says Foggy. “Not after that lead up. Just tell me if I’m going to walk in on you bleeding out again.”

“I’m fine. I told you, I haven’t done anything.”

“See you in five.”

Even the click of the phone sounds angry. Matt sighs.

Bossy gives an aggravated growl, “Well if you’re going to be that pathetic about it, you deserve to be put down.”

“Hey,” says Watchful. “Careful with what you’re saying.”

Scared jumps nervously.

“Here,” Bossy stalks across the room and grabs Scared by his shirt collar, “stand up straight if you’re going to stand up.” He shakes him briskly. “But even better, get down on your knees in the correct position.”

There’s a screech and snarl and suddenly two Matts are brawling across the floor.

It takes Matt a second to translate the sudden swirls of motion into comprehendible reality. Then he figures out that Bossy tried to sweep Scared’s legs out from under him and force him down onto his knees. Scared objected, rearing back and ducking down out of Bossy’s grip, then Mute flew across the room and pounced on Bossy.

“Stop that right now!” roars Claire with such authority that even Matt himself, on his way to drag them apart, freezes in place.

Watchful drops to his knees. Scared rolls across the floor and comes up crouched in a small ball behind the couch. Bossy obediently drops onto his knees and forearms, head pressed to the carpet. Mute sneaks in another couple of kicks.

“I said stop that right now, Mister.”

Mute abandons Bossy and hurries over to Claire, tugging at her sleeve and humming mournfully.

“Yes he was being an over-bearing bastard but that doesn’t mean you get to kick him. Go and sit down on the couch.”

Mute clucks his tongue twice, then after a long pause ducks his head and stalks over to the couch, propping himself against the arm carefully so Scared is shielded by his stretched out legs.

Claire makes a weird snorting sound.

“Claire,” Matt asks, not sure he wants to know the answer, “did you just giggle?”

“Maybe.”

“Maybe?”

“Oh alright yes, he looked exactly like you when I make you take your antibiotics. And just like you he’s only mostly doing what I asked. Matts – designed to make my life difficult.”

“I am not difficult.”

“You keep on believing that.” She turns to Watchful, “You, on the couch.” Watchful hastily sits down near Mute. Claire turns on Bossy, “Now you, are you going to come up off the floor and sit on the couch? Or would you rather be on the floor?”

“Slaves remain on the floor unless they are providing entertainment.”

It’s said so smoothly and easily that Matt wonders if he should switch Bossy’s name for Broken, but there is still something undeniably bossy about the way he speaks and for all he seems broken, Matt knows nothing would offend him more than being considered broken and he figures that’s a universal constant if nothing else.

“Okay,” says Claire, “how about a cushion off the couch?”

“Kneeling cushions are acceptable,” says Bossy and there’s the tiniest hint of relief in his voice at not being made to kneel on the hard floor. Matt feels a rush of homicidal fury and a fierce need to kill everyone who damaged Bossy so badly.

There’s a low rumbling growl from Mute and Matt knows they are in perfect agreement.

Watchful rocks uneasily. Scared whimpers and hunkers down even tighter. Claire pulls a cushion off the couch and helps Bossy get set up. Claire is amazing.

Suddenly Scared’s head come up, and he switches from hiding to crouching, muscles poised in readiness.

Matt automatically scans for danger, there’s a scratching at the door, and he tenses before realizing it’s just Foggy. The door swings open and Foggy starts,

“So what’s the disaster this – ”

When he’s cut off by Scared’s delighted cry, “Foggy!” as he bounds across the room, before skidding to a stop just shy of Foggy.

“You’re not Foggy,” he accuses, betrayed.

“Oh my God,” says Foggy, “it’s baby Matt.”

“Uh yes,” says Matt, “small accident with regard to the multi-verse.”

“Well obviously,” says Foggy, “even you aren’t stupid enough to duplicate yourself four times.”

Fill: Slave!Matts + Canon Matt 2/2

(Anonymous) 2015-12-12 04:12 am (UTC)(link)

“Thank you, I think.”

“Why is there a you kneeling on the floor.”

“He’s uh,” Matt scratches the back of his neck.

“It is appropriate for slaves to remain kneeling at all times when not in furtherance of their duties,” says Bossy.

“Oh fuck,” says Foggy, he’s always had a way with words.

“So, uh, little help.” Matt has no idea what to do with himself most of the time, he definitely doesn’t know what to do with another four of him.

“Yeah,” says Claire, “you’ve been dealing with Matt Murdock for years, you’re definitely the expert here.”

“Oh fuck.” Then Foggy straightens his cuffs and Matt can hear his body switch over into court mode. “So hey there little buddy,” he says to Scared, “I’m not your Foggy, I’m this Matt’s. Are you friends with Foggy in your universe?”

“He’s my owner,” says Scared proudly. And Foggy’s heart does a weird flipperty thing Matt’s never heard before.

“Mine too,” says Watchful innocently, and Matt shoots him a glare because he knows himself and that’s him being a little shit. Foggy’s heart flippertys again.

“You, snuff-bait,” says Bossy. Matt groans, why will he just not shut up, and then he feels bad because it’s not Bossy’s fault he’s so twisted out of true.

“Snuff-bait?” asks Foggy, and Matt can hear the cringe in his voice.

“I was really cheap,” explains Scared, “when we’re cheap it usually takes a long time for us to die. But it won’t be like that with Foggy, he’s too nice for that.” Scared sounds like he’s trying to convince himself and Matt flinches guiltily because he knows how much that would have hurt Foggy to hear.

“Whatever you want to tell yourself,” says Bossy, “But show some initiative, you are a younger version of a man he finds attractive, he’ll find you even more desirable. Get down on your knees and convince him to keep you.”

Matt can hear the words form in Foggy’s mouth but nothing makes it out. He doesn’t manage to say anything himself either. Claire is not looking at either of them with such focused intensity Matt thinks he should be able to reach out and touch it.

Surprisingly it’s Scared who says clearly,

“No. That’s a Matt-rule. No sex of any sort, at all, under any circumstances. No exceptions. Not even Foggy.”

“A Matt-rule?” says Foggy

“Foggy made it especially for me,” Scared boasts.

“Alright, that’s a little better.” Foggy’s body loses some of its tension.

“Snuff-bait, and you don’t even have sex,” snaps Bossy. “Are you any use at all?”

“I’m going to be a study-aid,” Scared declares defiantly.

“Did you even get your GED slave equivalent?”

“No, but Foggy says we can get around that. He says it’s good practice for wriggling around contract law. Foggy says I’m going to make a great lawyer because I’m really good at spotting loopholes. Foggy says we’re going to be a great team.”

“Foggy is snowing you blind, you stupid little shit,” snarls Bossy, clearly pushed past all endurance. “He just wants to see the pitiful look of betrayal on your face when he starts cutting off your fingers and feeding them to you.”

“Foggy wouldn’t do that.”

“Open your eyes. Foggy is a sadistic bastard who’s going to make you scream for days. The best thing you can do is take him out first. If they don’t have a record of your senses it will be easy. I should save you from your own stupidity, take your place for a day and do it for you.”

“No,” says Scared, “No, you will not hurt Foggy.”

“What, you going to fight me?”

Scared darts forward before he’s even finished speaking, trying for surprise. Bossy rises to meet him. He has the height, weight and experience advantage, Scared crashes into the floor in moments. He’s still fighting though.

“You disgust me,” says Bossy, “going to be killed and you’re still defending your worthless owner.”

“Foggy is not worthless.” Scared throws his head forward and manages to catch Bossy on the chin.

Matt’s hurrying to grab them, as is Mute, though from his clawed fingers his intentions are less benign, when there’s a vibrating crash so large and static-charged it feels like a thunder-cloud went off in the apartment.

Matt takes the opportunity to grab Bossy, and then Claire is there to help and they haul him back to his cushion.

“And stay where I put you,” growls Claire.

Bossy immediately drops submissively to the floor. Matt’s fingers twitch because it’s impossible to argue with that and that’s extremely frustrating.

“Can we stop worrying about the crazy-Matt for the moment and concentrate on the weird Wizard dude?” says Foggy.

Matt does a quick check of heartbeats and yep, definitely one more,

“Weird Wizard dude?”

“I’m not an expert,” says Claire, edge of hysteria in her voice, “but I think weird Wizard dude fits the circumstances.”

The voice is surprisingly high-pitched, and rather breathless, “I knew somebody’s double had been pulled through the inter-dimension but I couldn’t trace them until I felt the little one’s distress.”

It feels as if they’re being accused of being bad hosts. “I’m sorry,” says Matt as he helps Scared to his feet. “One of my doubles has anger issues.”

“Now there’s a shocker,” says Foggy.

“Not this poor child,” says weird Wizard dude, “but this little one. His distress is very great.” He lays one hand on Mute, and hums softly.

Mute gasps and waves his arms around as garbled noises tumble out of his mouth.

“Yes little one, I can find your owner for you, but only if he is willing to come.”

Mute makes an emphatic noise, and Matt knows his own body, Mute is gearing up for a fight.

“I meant no disparagement, little one. Wait just one moment longer.”

The pop is more controlled this time and suddenly there’s another heartbeat in the room and a man that smells of gun oil and violence. Drawing Scared with him, Matt inches his way towards Foggy and Claire.

“What the hell?” demands Mute’s owner. “You are seriously nothing but Trouble.”

The rough of violence of the words completely fails to disguise the fondness in the man’s voice. Matt abruptly feels much less worried about Mute. Mute, unbothered with any such concerns, gives a rippling coo of delight, and bounds across the room to butt his head against his owner’s shoulder.

“Yes I’m here. Have you finished bothering these poor people yet? Sorry again ma’am,” he says to Claire.

“It’s fine,” says Claire, “it’s not his fault.”

“It’s never Trouble’s fault,” says the owner, “but somehow chaos just follows him around. Come along, we have places to be.”

There are two quick pops, and they are two heartbeats down.

Scared creeps toward the Wizard, hands clutched tightly together. “Can you find Foggy?” he begs.

“If he will come.”

Bossy laughs harshly.

“Foggy will come,” says Scared firmly, and he doesn’t sound scared at all.

There’s a pop, and Matt feels woozy as his senses scream out to him that it’s Foggy, young small scared Foggy, and his fists clench in instinctive need to protect.

“Matt,” cries young Foggy racing over to Scared. “You’re here. Where did you go? Are you okay? Has anyone hurt you?” His hands trace over Scared’s shoulders. “Are you okay? Is that a bruise? Who hurt you?” He drags Scared close, “Matt’s mine. You don’t get to hurt him.” And that’s Foggy trying so hard to sound brave. Matt wants to hug him.

“There was a misunderstanding,” says his Foggy.

Young Foggy stares, surprise rocketing around his body. “You’re me,” he accuses, “how could you let them hurt him if you’re me.”

“Unfortunately he and one of the other Matts had a difference of opinion.”

“Who?” demands young Foggy.

Matt leans on Bossy to keep him quiet.

“He was stupid,” says Scared. “He doesn’t matter. I’m not going to be him ever. Can we go home now?”

Two pops and they’re gone.

“Next,” says the Wizard.

Neither Watchful or Bossy say anything.

“I don’t mean to be difficult,” says the Wizard, “but I can’t tell the two portals apart without someone from your universe to help. Once there’s only one portal left, it’s easy, but if I send you back now it’s fifty-fifty on ending up in the right universe.”

Watchful sighs, “I don’t want to end up in that Matt’s universe, and well, I wouldn’t have thought he would, but I’m thinking now that Foggy might be bothered enough to come for me.”

There’s another pop and another Foggy appears. Matt cringes because this is a very angry Foggy.

“Jesus Christ, Matt, where the hell did you go? What the hell is going on?”

Watchful ducks growing smaller and smaller with each angry word and Matt aches for him because Foggy mad with you is the worst feeling in the world.

And then angry Foggy says,

“Are you okay? Do I need to sue somebody? Because I’ve been checking into the laws relating to slaves and nobody is allowed to take you away like that without my permission.”

“I’m alright,” says Watchful, sounding stunned, but slowly uncurling towards angry Foggy.

“Good. Okay you people, this is kidnapping and false imprisonment, you need to let us go right now. Or – ”

They pop away before angry Foggy can finish the threat.

“And last one,” says the Wizard, and then Bossy vanishes too. “Alright folks sorry for the disruption to your day. I’ll leave you in peace.”

Matt just wants him gone, so he simply nods, but Foggy lurches forward, grabbing his sleeve,

“Wait.”

Matt has no idea why Foggy wants to hold him back but he shifts ready to grab on too if required.

“Yes,” says the Wizard.

“You owe us, you owe us for our time and, and, and the trauma to our psyches, you owe us.”

“What if I do?”

“You pay us back.”

“And do you speak for all your friends?”

“He speaks for me,” says Matt. He has no clue what Foggy’s play is, but that doesn’t mean he’s not going to back it.

“And me,” says Claire.

“So what do you want,” says the Wizard.

“You already know.”

“And you are happy to throw your other self’s life into chaos for a person he doesn’t even know?”

“If I could explain the circumstances to him, he’d agree to help.”

“Yes, you’re probably right at that. You know neither of them will thank you for it?”

“I don’t care. I cannot stand the thought of that Matt all alone. If I can’t help him other me will just have to do it.”

“Done then,” says the Wizard.

Which is why three days later in a universe twenty-two degrees to the left, Rosalind Sharpe gets so blitzed on martinis at a company function that she doesn’t realize the plan to sort out her hopeless case of a son isn’t her own.

Matt is used to dealing with new owners but he has no explanation for the faint wispy sense of some forgotten dream that he can trust this person called Foggy.

Sorry I don't think there is a Bossy Matt fic. There's prompt for Oppositte of Snuff-bait Matt who is Bossy Matt in this fic with some comments but no actual fic. It is being sort of filled above with the 'his reaction' fill.
link to original prompt
http://daredevilkink.dreamwidth.org/6237.html?thread=11775325#cmt11775325

The fill above offers an explanation for why Rosalind decided to buy a very expensive slave for her son but it won't be me that continues that story and writes the fic because I can't cope with those sort of slave fics. I can't manage straight up BDSM universes either. One of the reasons I like writing Slave fics (not sure I can own up to all my fics on the meme, hides face) is because it's interesting to write around what trips your triggers so badly.

I don't think Sadistic Foggy exists anywhere I'm afraid. If you're thinking of the Foggy in the Ipad Matt fill, that's a misunderstanding and the Foggy in question is rather sweet (imo).

Ah, what a perfect ending! I like it that the take-away is that Foggy and Matt are always a good combination :) (Also loved Foggy's line about only Matt being stupid enough to duplicate himself four times) XD
