Has been re-watching Butterfly Effect recently, and wow, Elden Henson played Lenny there.

So now I want x-over, where somewhere along the line (you pick the exact point) Lenny's family moved the fuck away from all the crap that traumatized Lenny. And it helped. Somehow, he turned out ok and became Foggy.
But.
You can't leave your past behind, not really, not completely. And surely not if there were people like Evan.

What were Karen's first days like? Did Foggy sit her down and have an orientation on Matt Murdock with her? We all know that Matt has rules. Maybe Karen started trying to clean the office with bleach or brought in aerosol air fresheners. I could see her trying to rearrange the furniture or not putting a chair back in the same spot. She has to print documents on two separate printers. And under no circumstances ask Matt about his family!. I know from personal experience that it takes some adjusting when living with somebody who is blind . Not to mention that I am sure Matt has idiosyncrasies

Note: So I wrote a 5+1 fill for someone around universes where Matt and Foggy stop being friends, and basically realized (especially after reading some comments on AO3) that each piece of my fill was essentially it's own awesome prompt. So I'm posting them here, and am prompting someone to write a sequel/additional material on the themes.

The prompt is this:

Foggy has been seeing a woman for a while, and loves her, and she tells him that she's pregnant. He's excited and happy, but the more he thinks about it the more he realizes that Hell's Kitchen isn't a great neighborhood for a family, being a criminal defense attorney isn't really a family-oriented career path, and most importantly being Daredevil's partner means that having Matt in his life compromises his family's potential safety and exposes them to violence.

So Foggy has to make a tough choice knowing that Matt can never just not be Daredevil, and that choice is that he puts his family first.

Kidnapped and Forced To Fight

So this is kind of a two part prompt since I have two ways I like this idea...

Matt, Foggy, Karen, maybe Claire to patch him up (AND CAUSE SHE'S AWESOME) (whoever you want) are kidnapped and put in like an underground fighting thing. Maybe they want Foggy to fight first since they think he'd be the most fun, or maybe they stick Matt in because they think it would be funny...

But Matt ends up fighting, and Karen obviously figures things out. Matt is obviously like the best and the people in charge are ALL ABOUT HIM........Maybe person in charge is Stick? And wants to show Matt how his people are a problem? By maybe grabbing Foggy and threatening to kill him if Matt doesn't kill the next person he's in the ring with?

OR

In some sort of weird twist of fate Natasha and Matt are taken instead. Natasha is the one they way, and they give her Matt to fight with thinking he would slow her down. He obviously doesn't. Intense sex would be awesome.

There are several AMAZING stories where Foggy gets to really find out how fucked up Matt really is (mostly due to Stick). Pretty Please give me the aftermath. Does Foggy shower Matt with affirmations? Teach him about self-care? Maybe Foggy starts hugging Matt everyday. I could even see Foggy reading books on childhood trauma just to help Matt. We know Foggy will never believe Matt again when he says that he is 'fine'. Make cry anons!

Matt essentially hides Daredevil from Karen, and things get to the point where he gets the entire office involved in something that kills her. And it devastates Foggy, who can never forgive Matt.

It could be the full story leading up to how she died and how it was or wasn't Matt's fault. It could be a story about how Foggy was deeply in love with her and angry at Matt because she never loved him back. It could be just a story about how the heck they put their friendship back together, if at all, after something like that. I am looking for all of the angst.

Or, surprise everyone by writing a story that is Karen-centric around this, because I fully recognize that this prompt fridges her for the sake of Matt and Foggy angst, but couldn't help myself.

I'm getting ideas for a variation where Karen is gravely injured, but pulls through (and has Strong Feelings about Matt's actions. He was with her just hours after she was almost strangled; he heard Rance smashing her head into the wall from 10 feet away; he can hear her panic attacks and smell when the pepper spray in her purse is replaced by a gun.
All of that, and he couldn't even leave her the phone number of 'someone who helped you before'

(Also foggy was a conflicted accessory to this and now all the friendships are fucked)

Is this still in parameters for a fill, or should it be a seperately posted 'inspired by'?

This is actually based on something that happened in the comics. After Matt's identity as Daredevil was exposed, Nick Fury showed up and offered to make everything - the resulting criminal investigations, threats to his friends and loved ones, lawsuits, etc. - go away if he offered to go completely off the world's radar and join S.H.I.E.L.D.

In the comics, Matt said no. In the fill I wrote, Matt said yes. What happens next?

The opportunities are endless - he could hook up with Nat, Agent May, or Bobbi. He could reconnect with his old friend from St. Agnes. He could be a mysterious lone wolf who everyone is in awe of in the organization, or learn to be a team player, or be running the whole show at some point. I just need Matt as an agent, and Foggy desperate to find out what happened to him.

The prompt is this:

Matt literally allows his bloodlust and rage at some point to overtake him so completely that he becomes a coldblooded murderer, to the point of almost murdering Foggy without thinking.

When Foggy sees what his friend has become, he's absolutely terrified and doesn't know what to do.

This is loosely based on the Shadowland storyline from the comics in which Matt literally had his soul corrupted by the ninja clan The Hand so that a demon could take him over and a similar thing happened. In that storyline, Foggy is the one to finally connect to Matt and get him to stop. What would it take for Foggy to do that? What if he couldn't?

EVEN THOUGH, IMAGINE: Matt was kidnapped by a serial killer. This serial killer attempted to, you know, serial kill him. But, aha, Matt escaped. Now the BAU needs his help to find out who this serial killer is and also protect him. It would be cool if you could never mind the timeline of Criminal Minds and basically set it post season-one of Daredevil and seasons 3 and 5 of Criminal Minds.

there is a power void in Hell's Kitchen after Fisk. Foggy starts a criminal organization a la Robin Hood without realizing it. Soon he is orchestrating human traffic shipments to free the victims and arrest/have buyers beaten. He can't tell Matt because seriously how is this his life? And are you kidding? His criminal name use the Advocate.

Then Matt learns and joins him (for good). The Devil of Hell's Kitchen and his Advocate.

So, according to some of the comics Matt's mom ran off and became a nun.

I would like to see a fic where Matt, Foggy, Claire or Karen, end up at the church where Matt's mom is a nun.

Maybe Matt is hurt or it's a part of a case. But they end up there, and are completely BLOWN AWAY by how much Sister Margaret looks like Matt. And she keeps acting weird around him, instead of content with her life choices she's actually really guilty and seems to be having a hard time around him. And Matt takes Foggy aside and is all suspicious and Foggy doesn't know how to say "dude, you look just like her"

..so...go from there.

Matt/Foggy In a relationship when Foggy finds out about DD

I have read so many fics about Matt and Foggy getting together in college. And that's great. But they never get to the Daredevil part.

Like, how would that confrontation go if Matt STILL never told Foggy about his senses and Foggy stumbled in on him in half dead on the floor?

And what are Foggy's feelings about Claire, beautiful burner phone girl who knows the secret?

It also gives a new perspective to Foggy sleeping with Marci right after.

I would like a hopeful ending. But generally a view of how that scene would have changed if Matt and Foggy had been in a relationship during the season.

Emotionally, YES 100% anon, I am DOWN FOR THIS FIC, but.

and i mean. I KNOW. i know. i have in fact written a "sex pollen" thing so I know that fic doesn't have to be constrained by technical details, but.

Matt spends most of Season 1 beat-to-shit with bruises and lacerations and stitches and scarring all over his body; I keep getting caught up on how does his long-term romantic partner not notice that?

I just have this glorious image of Foggy and Sam dating when Foggy was in undergrad, before he knew Matt, and them staying friends, and Sam coming back to town for a visit.

Do they flirt shamelessly? Does Matt get possessive of his best friend? Does Karen wonder how the hell Foggy knows the Falcon? Does Claire bond with Sam over having to patch up dipshit superheroes?

I just re-read the arc where Matt was sent to prison and ended up making a deal with Fisk to watch out for each other when everyone expects them to try and kill each other instead. Give me both of them forming a pretty heavily co-dependent relationship that neither of them enjoy but stick to out of necessity. Somewhere along the way it devolves into a physical relationship.

I'd prefer it to be consensual, but any way you can get it to work is fine with me. Do they have a fight about something that turns into hatefucking? Does Matt get touch-starved and just need someone to hold him? Just fuck me up, anons.

Oh hell yes, this. When they're both cut off from their support networks and struggling to hold it together in a very hostile environment. An uneasy truce happens not because of trust, but because they get each other's motivations.
