This post is for prompts involving everyone in Netflix's The Defenders! Crossovers between anyone in the four individual shows should go here. Prompts only including characters from one show should still go on the relevant show prompt post.

  4. RPF is allowed. Crossovers, characters from the extended Marvel Universe and comics canon are allowed, but must relate to the 2017 TV show in some way.

OT4 Luke/Matt/Danny/Jessica teaching Danny it's ok to say no

Part of Danny's training was enforcing the belief that the desires of the group are more important than his own misgivings or discomfort. The only exception was if it went against his mission as The Iron Fist. So when the ot4 start experimenting, Danny goes along with it even though he maybe didn't want to or didn't fully understand what it was.
It doesn't take long for Matt to figure it out and they all teach Danny it's ok for him to not want to participate just because they want it.
Matt figured it out so quickly because Stick used a similar belief system and with Luke and Jessica so focused on Danny, Matt effectively turned the attention off himself for doing the same thing.

Matt/Various: Matt Murdock will break your heart

In the beginning of their friendship things were well, then as it progressed great and even mildly romantic. Foggy and Matt briefly dated before Matt seemingly is infatuated with a greek girl. Foggy had been feeling more for Matt than he realized and is hurt but lets his friend go.

Karen wanted Matt Murdock before she knew his life was a lie and stopped before the truth was even revealed because the woman in the bed was important to Matt.

Matt Murdock tried to save Elektra.

Seemingly she is dead (again) and various of the Defenders have dated Matt in some capacity. Their relationships aren't easy and most are forged in the aftermath of a fight.
What seems like at least bonds of blood and bravery are shattered when Elektra returns.

Matt Murdocks burns through their what ifs, friendships and kisses faster than the Devil himself.

Matt Murdock will always try to save Elektra.

Trish/Matt/Jessica

I would love to see this, the Avengers are a serious grup of heroes who have saved the Earth (and almost destroyed it) and rhe defenders are more "hey, there's a bunch of ninjas trying to control New York, let's figth them" (I love the defenders, they are all sarcastic little shits)

Rather than keep Elektra a secret, Matt, recalling how he alienated Karen and Foggy by not having told them about Elektra being back in town, decided to tell the others in the group about Elektra while they were at the Royal Dragon.

Defenders OT4, all have different love languages and miscommunicate

Matt/Danny, past abuse, Matt is a well adjusted badass

Can we hav a fic where Matt is not the woobie I keep seeing him as in prompts. Danny and Matt are my favourites, and I love fics about Danny's past, and Matt's, but I would love a fic along the following lines.

Danny and Matt were raised from a young age in a similiar fashion, Matt under stick and Danny by the Monks, there was whatever abuse etc authur anon wants for both of them.

But Matt at least managed to get away from this life and has become a functional memeber of socity, he got the help he needed to get over what had been done to him. Yes he still has issues, but he knows what Stick did to him was abuse and reacts accordingly (as he did in the episode Stick comes back, immeaidiately arguing against working with him etc).

So in an AU, or something, Danny and Mmatt get together, and Matt recognises behaviours and stuff in Danny that he went through himself, it's different for Danny, he was completely isolated for so long with the monks, and he is still fully entrenched in that life. Matt observes things, Danny expecting to be punished if he messes up anything at all, Danny agreeing to things he doesn't actually want, his clinging to his Iron Fist title as a means to give himself an identity, because for a long time he felt like an IT, or whatever.

And then Matt sits Danny down and they have a long talk, about how Danny needs to get help, how Matt understands what he's going through, and Matt helping Ddanny leave the headspace of the monks behind him.

I don't mind Matt having a relapse, or a flashback or something, and for him to talk to Foggy, or a therapist or something, but I want him being in control, and not being all self scaraficing.

Bonus for Matt taking someone else Jjessica, Luke, Ward, whoever, to task for comparing Matt and Danny's abuse, and how Matt is dealing with everything so much better, and Matt being all "I've had longer to come to terms with it, Danny's only been free for like six months/a year, and it's a totally different situation!"

Luke, JJ, and Danny spend time with Matt during the day, whether it's working pro bono cases for Luke's neighbourhood kids, spending random lunches with Danny who still has a million questions about protecting the city, and JJ who ropes Matt into using his senses towards her investigations. They all see, first hand, how people treat Matt in the worst shitty ableist ways all.day.long. Maybe they learn a lot, but they're also really distressed and pissed at how much Matt puts up with.

They all have their own ways of dealing with this bullshit. I would love to see the different ways they'd all try to deal with random mean assholes, but also how they might want to choose to be better, do better for the vision impaired community.

Bonus points if they all spend time with Daredevil eventually and, reflectively appreciate how much Matt doesn't have to hide, when he's hiding behind that mask.

I'm a simple fan with simple needs. All I want is a fic where the other Defenders find out Matt is hooking up with Frank. Thanks to Matt's relationship with Elektra, they can only see Frank as a similar threat and they give Matt a lot of shit about having a type and how much they dnw Castle around. But when Elektra returns and kidnaps Matt, the other Defenders reluctantly work together with Frank to find Matt. They find out Frank's not as similar to Elektra as they thought, and they reevaluate his presence in Matt's, and their, lives.

i've seen a lot of amazing fics that have people picking up on all of the abusive stuff stick ingrained in matt, but how about a fic where the defenders/avengers explicitly discover or are told by matt that he was a child soldier and how they react to that, vs matt who's had time to come to terms with it even if he hasn't fully gotten over all of the leftover baggage from it.

+ they start trying to treat him differently and it bothers matt a lot

++ this is an extra bonus but i'm ride-or-die for frank/matt, so maybe they've been hassling matt a little for his thing with frank and he's tired of it bc frank joined the army at 18 and is the closest to understanding how matt feels about a lot of it?

Basically all the Defenders and a lot of their supporting cast all extensive issues and have been through a lot of shit. I want fic where they are going to therapy and showing how it positively effecting them.

Matt/Jessica, omega/omega

Jessica and Matt are both omegas and utter badasses. They've both experienced abuse due to being omegas as well as discrimination, and they both get along with each other. However, almost everyone in this society believes that omegas need an alpha, even if they also want each other, including the good 'kind' alphas like Luke and Foggy, and so when they decide to date and fuck each other exclusively rather than get together with new alphas, there's a lot of pushback.

It all comes to a head during one of their heats that turns into both of their heats through hormone proximity(maybe they're dangerous to suppress) where several good alphas from their lives (Trish, Luke, Foggy, etc) offer to come and help take care of it, but both refuse anyone else's comfort than each other's.

Bonus points: Frank is either an omega himself or, if he's not, he comes and guards them from more alphas who would be attracted to two omegas both in heat.
