This reminds me of that one episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer were Buffy runs away to LA and then comes back and is greeted with all the pain and worry she's caused everyone while still not being emotionally supported by any of her friends and family so she tries to run away again....

I don't know if any anons have seen it, but it was a very realistic portly of this situation and something similar would make the prompt so much more whumpy.

(Or if Karen relents in her hard ass stick and is able to support Matt and make him want to stay.)

In an AU where slavery exists, Matt was sold into slavery as a child, maybe after his father's death. Your choice as to whether or not he still has his super-senses. Fast forward several years. Still-a-lawyer Foggy runs across Matt at a slave auction, and buys him to protect him.

Matt is trying everything to please Foggy, waiting for the other shoe to drop. He tries to seduce him, hoping for a return to normalcy. Foggy doesn't realize exactly how afraid of him Matt is. When he does, he does everything he can to make it better.

Those specific things don't have to happen but I'm really looking for slave Matt and kind, sort-of-oblivious master Foggy. Bonus points for collars.

So in the comics Frank and Matt have an antagonistic friendship. Matt understands why Frank does what he does but holds out continuous hope that Frank will change and heal. Frank has no intention of doing so but he respects Matt a great deal, worries about him when he's in trouble, and frequently hits Matt up for help with his projects. They argue a great deal about Frank's methods but never truly give up on winning the other one over. Other heroes, especially the Avengers, think Matt is a bit on the crazy side for keeping in contact and frequently depending on Frank Castle when they dismiss Frank as a mentally disturbed murderer. It's put a crimp in Matt's relationships with non-Frank people a fair number of times but Matt being Matt, he's happy to keep on keeping on and well, he was never much of a team player to begin with.

Now knowing what you know now, someone please take this quote: "His expression was serious, but I liked how it softened slightly when he looked at me. Like the way he looked at me was different from how he looked at everyone else." and run with it.

Maybe Frank and Matt were childhood friends. Maybe Matt simply understands the jagged edges of Frank's loss in a way no one else ever has. Maybe Frank finds it comforting to know that there's someone out there that isn't dismissing him as a crazy person even if he doesn't like what Frank does.

Regardless, it should be noted and remarked upon by bewildered heroes that the relationship between Matt and Frank has an undercurrent of mutual respect and affection, and that it effects how Frank treats Matt, even when they disagree.

How did this already perfect prompt get better?

I'm so interested in seeing how this might change the dynamic with Matt being Daredevil, like, Gabriel isn't omniscient but he DEFINITELY was cool with killing people he deemed bad. So would Gabriel!Foggy be totes cool with Daredevil? Cheering him on? Or did he try to put that past behind him because he decided it wasn't fixing anything, so he's frustrated at watching Matt appear to make the same mistakes he did for hundreds/thousands of years?

DOES HE LET MATT WIELD HIS ANGEL BLADE

AND HIS 'ANGEL BLADE'

Put protective spells on his suit? Pop into his dreams so Matt can see what he looks like? Does he ever TAKE MATT AS A TEMPORARY VESSEL? (Oooh, soulsex...)

(Also, totally in denial about Gabe's death here...)

Oh, I love this prompt, but I have no idea how to start. If they met at a service wouldn't other people notice that he's a gargoyle? What is the nature of gargoyledom? Are gargoyles semi-normal in this universe, a la discworld? Disney's Gargoyles were stone during the day so it'd have to be midnight mass. Maybe gargoyles are secret, but run on weeping angels rules (Tennant-era angels episode, the concept was ruined in the Smith-era). Oh god, Matt would be the first human Foggy would be able to talk to if that's the case. My poor awkward dove!

Wait, what if they meet on the church roof while eaves dropping on the choir practice? I'll be back in a day or so.
