Rules:
- General
- YKINMKATO. Play nice. If you don't like something, scroll on.
- All comments must be anon. If you would like to be politely banned to avoid anon-failing, leave a logged-in comment on the mod post or pm the mod account.
- IP Logging is currently on. Only the mod can see them, and the mod will only be paying attention to them when threads turn wanky and she wants to identify comments made by the same person.
- Subject lines should only be changed if you're posting a prompt or a fill (indicators like OP or Author!Anon should go in the body of the comment).
- RPF is allowed. Crossovers, characters from the extended Marvel Universe (excluding characters from Jessica Jones) and comics canon are allowed, but must relate to the 2015 TV show in some way.
- Prompts involving characters from Jessica Jones (including crossovers with Daredevil characters or the extended MCU) must go on the Jessica Jones Prompt Post.
- Prompts that are exclusively about the comics should go on the Comics Prompt Post.
- Discussion not related to the prompt should be moved to the discussion/off-topic post.
- Drop a comment on the mod post if you have any questions or problems.
- Prompts
- All types of prompts are welcome.
- Use the subject line for the main idea of your prompt (pairing or characters, keywords, kink).
- Warnings are nice, but not mandatory. Get DW Blocker if there's anything you really don't want to see.
- Reposted prompts are allowed once one round has passed - i.e., prompts from post #2 cannot be reposted until post #4. Please include a link to where it has been previously posted.
- Fills
- Put [FILL] or something similar in the subject line when posting a fill.
- Announce your fill on either the Completed Fills Post or the WIP Post.
- Long fills can either be posted over multiple comments, or posted on AO3 and linked back here.
- Multiple fills are always okay.
- Fills can be anything! Fic, art and vids are all welcome.
- If it wasn't written specifically for the prompt, it doesn't count as a fill. You are welcome to provide a link to already existing fic that does fit the prompt, in case the prompter hasn't seen it, but it doesn't count as a fill.
Fill: Frank/Matt slave!matt 6/?
(Anonymous) 2015-11-30 01:49 am (UTC)(link)Frank is having a bad day. It’s not precisely unsuccessful, but now he’s facing multiple assailants with two little kids to protect and he’s been shot, just clipped his leg but it adds to his general annoyance with the situation.
He’s eyeing the kids and wondering if he can rely on them to run if he yells at them enough, when a blurred figure catapults down from the fire escape. Frank has enough time to recognize Trouble but hasn’t the chance to even get frantic over how he’s going to get them all out of there breathing before Trouble explodes.
When Frank gets his heart out his throat and recognizes his charge knows what he’s doing, it’s amazing to watch. Frank’s good at hand-to-hand, knows guys who are better, and Trouble is one of the best. He takes full advantage of their surprise and turns the fact it’s one against many to their disadvantage as he whirls like the wind in a flurry of kicks and punches. Once Frank’s caught the rhythm he aims his gun and picks them off like ducks in a shooting gallery.
When the last one collapses, Trouble kicks him twice in the head to be sure and then runs towards them, no hesitation, and Frank realizes what he should have realized before, Trouble’s blindness isn’t nearly as much of a handicap as it should be. There’s compensating well, and then there’s whatever Trouble’s doing.
Trouble runs straight to him, hands clutching and then patting, as a continuous growl rumbles out of his chest. Abruptly it strikes Frank that Trouble can tell he’s injured, but can’t tell how bad.
“Stop fussing,” he snarls, “I’m fine.” He intends to take a step forward and prove it, but the flood of adrenaline’s dried up leaving him shaky and maybe that bullet took more of a chunk out of his leg than he thought, because it straight up refuses to take his weight and slowly crumples beneath him.
Trouble’s growling increases in volume. The two little kids creep closer to Frank, tucking themselves in behind him, and how in the hell did he become the less scary one.
Frank smacks his cheek lightly, “Hey, I’m fine. Calm the hell down and help me up.” Trouble’s hand lands on the bloody furrow in his thigh and there’s a minute where Frank can’t say anything at all, just clench his eyes tight shut against the white-hot pain. Trouble’s head bumps against his, and then there’s the sound of running footsteps.
By the time he gets his eyes open again, Trouble has vanished.
Claire Temple is not having a good day. She’s woken from much needed sleep by someone knocking fiercely at her door, opens her door still blinking sleep from her eyes, and finds a young man, battered, bruised and covered in blood. He’s obviously still in shock because he can only make a garbled growling sound as he clutches at her arm. Without thought she darts back into the house for her emergency kit and lets him tug her out her apartment and into the street. It’s only as he starts to urge her down a shadowed back alley that her common sense wakes up and she balks.
He turns back to her, brown eyes huge and earnest, scoops her up in his arms, grabs her kit, and starts running.
She struggles for a moment, gets absolutely nowhere, then decides that compliance might work out for her better. She’s clearly been grabbed for her nursing skills, if she stays meek and quiet maybe they’ll let her go when she’s finished. She can hope anyway. Besides it’ll give her the advantage of surprise if there’s a chance to escape.
Somebody says, “What the fuck?” as she’s set carefully on her feet.
There’s a man, a big solid dangerous man, lying sprawled in the alley, two children cuddled into his side.
Her kidnapper hums happily and shoves her forward, helpfully handing her the emergency kit.
“Jesus fuck, Trouble,” says the big guy, “Did you just kidnap some poor nurse?”
Trouble beams proudly back at him.
“Oh God,” the big guy covers his face briefly with one hand, then looks at her directly and smiles with a surprising amount of charm,
“I’m sorry ma’am. Trouble, he gets confused. He shouldn’t have bothered you.” He turns on Trouble, “I’m fine you great idiot. Let the poor nurse go and help me up.”
Trouble just tugs hopefully at Claire’s arm and nudges her towards his friend. Claire looks at down at the mess the big guy’s made of his leg, she looks at Trouble who’s staring at her with the complete conviction she can fix the world, and decides somebody has to be the adult here.
“Yeah right, you’re fine,” she says, “that’s why you’re lying down in a dirty back alley right by the results of a small gang war. Can you even stand up?”
“It’s flesh wound. I’m just getting my breath back.”
God, he’s one of those. “Okay, while you do that, I’ll sew up the dirty great hole in your leg. How does that sound?”
“You don’t need to ma’am.”
Claire thinks he means that but personally she’s not convinced Trouble would let her go. She’s revising her diagnosis of shock but something’s clearly not quite right with him. It doesn’t matter though, she’s made a decision and she’s sticking with it.
She unzips her kit and starts hunting for the scissors.
“So you want to tell me what happened?”
“We got mugged,” says the big guy blandly.
“Right, they took your wallets and left you two kids.”
“It could happen.”
She starts to cut his pants away from around the wound, “There’s been a string of kids disappearing around here.”
“I know.”
“But not these two.”
“Not these two.”
Claire breaks out the local anesthetic. He’s an easy patient, calm, not allergic to anything, and unbothered by needles. The two kids perk up when she starts suturing and watch the gory process with interest. Trouble hides his face against the big guy’s arm.
“I’m going to assume you know how to take care of stiches.”
“Yes ma’am.”
“And you’ll ignore anything I say about getting a professional to take them out.”
“Uh.”
“That’s what I thought. You can stop by my place if you like. But I work nights so try not to make it the middle of the day.”
“Yes ma’am.” He smiles at her and Trouble pets her hair.
“And if you need help with him, I know some people.”
The big guy’s face closes off into the intimidation that seems habitual. “Me and Trouble are just fine ma’am.”
“As you say, but bear it in mind okay.”
He snorts and doesn’t say anything more. Trouble hums a rising trill in clear question.
“Come on Trouble, help me up. We should be going, we’ve bothered our poor nurse long enough.” With Trouble’s help he levers himself to his feet.
“I am sorry he grabbed you ma’am, and thank you for sewing up my leg.”
“Find some other alley to get shot in next time and we’ll call it even.”
“Yes ma’am.”
And after all that they stick her with the kids so the rest of Claire’s chances to sleep evaporate in dealing with social services and hysterical parents.
She supposes it could be worse.
Matt has a great day.
He destroys all the food in the glass-metal-cold place with the mean people who don’t like his master. Then he finds his master. He doesn’t like it when he realizes his master smells of pain and blood, but he finds an antiseptic-smelling person to fix it and then his master wraps his arm around Matt’s shoulder all the way back to their safe room.
And when they’re inside his master flops down on the bed and says, “I’m too tired to drag you back to the Avengers now. I’m going to pass out. You come here where I can keep an eye on you.”
Matt sneaks into the space between the wall and his master, curls up, closes his eyes, and falls asleep in a ball of happiness.

Claire, always the Night Nurse.
And Frank hasn't realized just how stubborn an Irishman he's dealing with here.
