Marvel Comics | Jessica Jones

This post is for prompts based on Daredevil and the surrounding MCU only. Any prompts involving characters or plot points from Netflix's Jessica Jones must go on the Jessica Jones Prompt Post. Prompts focusing on comic characters and storylines should go on the Marvel Comics Prompt Post.

RPF is allowed. Crossovers, characters from the extended Marvel Universe (excluding characters from Jessica Jones) and comics canon are allowed, but must relate to the 2015 TV show in some way.

Prompts involving characters from Jessica Jones (including crossovers with Daredevil characters or the extended MCU) must go on the Jessica Jones Prompt Post.

Prompts that are exclusively about the comics should go on the Comics Prompt Post.

So I've only read a handful of daredevil comics (this is an mcu prompt btw) but there's usually at least one panel with like 5+ DDs on it(trying to show his speed? I think?) and it always makes me wish that there really was a just a giant herd of him. So any way you want to make it happen. Are they clones with all the same memories? Are they all from different universe's? Robots? Did his personality get physically split into different parts? Something else? Does the real Matt know that there's a bunch of copies of him out there?

Any or no pairing is fine but massive bonus points if each one has a different love interest

Ohmigod imagine an Inside Out type deal where one of the Matts is Catholic Guilt

So like it takes place in his head? Or do the emotions come out somehow?

I vote for a scenario where they usually live in his head, but some kind of science ray/magic splits them up into 5 separate, fully grown people. Like...Rage, Guilt, Righteousness (i.e.,one of them who absolutely, cold-bloodedly and mercilessly follows the law), Grandstanding/humour, and one who just likes Foggy and soft things.

If you consider the last one the 'base' Matt, i.e., what Matt would be like without guilt, anger issues, Righteousness and a tendency to be brave and show-off, just...mellow and easy-going - but also perhaps ambitionless and less filled with energy and the desire to *change* things, to fight - it would be interesting to follow the story from his perspective.

Foggy would at first be relieved that Matt suddenly has lost his suicidal sides, but then soon realize that this isn't Matt anymore, just a crippled version of his friend, and then he has to help a severely intimidated, still super-senses-equipped 'normal' Matt to re-capture all of the rest of him.

Guilt is mainly hanging around Church and driving Lantom nuts, this one's easy, but Righteousness is currently out trying to arrest the Punisher (and Rage is beating even low-level thugs to such unrecognizable pulp, Frank might be out of work soonish anyway). Grandstanding is along for the ride, making smart remarks, but actually doesn't feel like joining with any of the other emotions again, because he is never allowed to be in control much when they're one person, and life is far too short not to show off, laugh and have fun. He does like base!Matt, but is severely not-impressed how base!Matt is also ruining any and all opportunities to feel good for them.

OP is 100% behind this. I feel that Righteousness and Rage would be at odds with each other tho, because beating people (even thugs) is still wrong. Maybe Righteousness goes to arrest Frank (peacefully) and ends up having to save him from Rage?

This actually reminds be of an episode of Fairly Odd Parents where Timmy's emotions all escaped and all these great things happened to him and he just.. didn't care. He didn't feel joy or fear or sadness or anything. And that came out before Inside Out haha! (I do love that movie tho)

Oh, definitely. Rage would have a serious bone to pick with Righteousness, because he is usually *always* kept restrained by it when all he wants to do is go out and break bodies.

"Without me, you'd likely all be *dead* by now," he scathes, glaring at the rest of them, spitting blood. "How many scrapes have I pulled us out of yet? When we'd hit the mat and had a boot on our back and a gun to our head?"

"No more often than you got us *into* those scrapes in the first place," Righteousness retorts, coldly. "With you in charge, we would have been shot down like an animal years ago."

("Maybe we should have been," Guilt mutters in the corner and Foggy mostly wants to take...base-Matt - he *really* needs to come up with a better name for him - who is looking so fucking *lost*, and wrap him in a blanket and make sure nothing ever hurts him any more.

"Yay, family party," Grandstanding comments, and this is the worst night ever.)

Gosh, I love this. And if base!Matt has no motivation to fight its going to be nearly impossible to gather all the Matts (exactly how do they go back? Put them all together and use the ray again?). Foggy probably couldn't do it on his own. Frank would probably be on board and he already has weapons just for subduing daredevil (but how would Foggy feel about him using those?)

Duct tape. Just, tape them all together.

I love it. Imagine this one just being glued to Foggy's side while the other ones are stalking around.

(I think at least one of them would have to exhibit possessiveness or protectiveness, no? that's a pretty big aspect of Matt's character, too.)

Very good point. I imagine this is either something that goes to base!Matt - he might not enjoy fighting like Rage does, or thinks it's the necessary thing to do, like Righteousness, but he *will* try and defend Foggy if he has to - or it's a characteristic that's spread out over all five of them.

And yeah, just for added difficulty, I think the way to combine them again would be to get all of them to stand in front of the ray/in the magic circle, because I want to see Foggy despairing about having to herd cats (well, Matts)...

I kind of enjoy the thought that it doesn't have to be done in one fell swoop; that two (or more!) "Matts" can combine anytime they're in the magic circle and the button gets pushed.

I'm not sure if I'd prefer a Metroid-style "first one's a doozy but it helps with the next" scenario, here, or if some of the alters agree to combine because anything that gives them a better chance is better than combining with... (guilt? base-Matt? grandstander?) again. Righteousness and rage would be frightening. (Both would be Daredevil, by preference. Ouch.)

Rage+Righteousness is default-Daredevil, but Righteousness+Grandstanding=default-lawyer. Guilt+Righteousness is the most self-sacrificing bastard.

Guilt and Rage together can't even get their shit together enough beat up criminals, they just trash whatever's closest because THEY HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS.

AYRT: Oh, good, someone else is having fun imagining the ways various alters could combine. I really didn't dislike the "Foggy herding cats" image, but this one is fun, too.

I think Father Lantom eventually has to either kick Guilt+Righteousness out of the building or find him a bed. (It took the priest a while to notice that he'd moved to a pew after leaving the confessional because Grandstanding is too busy hanging off the roof bleeding over a random stained-glass window of the Virgin, or something.)

Oh god, yes. If this is gonna be shippy, I also want Foggy to have a minute of spacing-out where he briefly entertains a six-way sex fantasy with all of them. (And then desperately wants to bang his head against the wall because is brain is NOT being helpful)

What about Righteousness with Captain America? I think he'd be a fan.

I SNORTED AT THIS.

They refuse to form back together until the others agree to stay with the love interest of their choice. Its so much worse than a love triangle

What if they all fight over the single Daredevil suit

Rage snags the suit by scaring everyone off and all the other idiots go back to using black pajamas and delusion.

Hopefully he has a lot of masks left over, or the last ones will end up fighting over his ties and pillowcases
