Marvel Comics | Jessica Jones

This post is for prompts based on Daredevil and the surrounding MCU only. Any prompts involving characters or plot points from Netflix's Jessica Jones must go on the Jessica Jones Prompt Post. Prompts focusing on comic characters and storylines should go on the Marvel Comics Prompt Post.

General

All comments must be anon. If you would like to be politely banned to avoid anon-failing, leave a logged-in comment on the mod post or pm the mod account.

IP Logging is currently on. Only the mod can see them, and the mod will only be paying attention to them when threads turn wanky and she wants to identify comments made by the same person.

Subject lines should only be changed if you're posting a prompt or a fill (indicators like OP or Author!Anon should go in the body of the comment).

RPF is allowed. Crossovers, characters from the extended Marvel Universe (excluding characters from Jessica Jones) and comics canon are allowed, but must relate to the 2015 TV show in some way.

Prompts involving characters from Jessica Jones (including crossovers with Daredevil characters or the extended MCU) must go on the Jessica Jones Prompt Post.

Prompts that are exclusively about the comics should go on the Comics Prompt Post.

Discussion not related to the prompt should be moved to the discussion/off-topic post.

Drop a comment on the mod post if you have any questions or problems.

Prompts

"Yes, but don't tell Foggy. He won't make me any if he knows I can do my own."

"Shh. Foggy's coffee is so much better than mine."

"I'm not drinking yours either."

"That's fine. Where's my cup?"

"That one's mine- you know what. Never mind. Just take it."

"How did you even break it?! It cost us half a grand?! Why did you break it?!"

"You told me you couldn't make your own coffee! Why would I put braille on it?"

"Well, she's gone."

"She's comfortable with us."

"You're still not getting coffee, Matt. The repairs for it are coming out of your salary."

"I told you I couldn't make coffee."

"Salary. We're already on a tight budget. Do you know how much it costs to free a slave?!"

"Yes. i'm working on it too."

"Stupid blind best friend."

"That hurt, Foggy. That hurt deep."

"I"m back. I got Matt tea."

"Karen!"

"I love you, Karen. We're hitting the eel tonight!"

"On Matt?"

"Why is that on me, Karen?"

"You're making me go on at least two coffee runs a day until the machine's repaired. It's on you."

"Fine."

I don't much like the slavery prompts; they're some of the threads I try to skip as I scroll down (I read in flat view). I am so, so glad I read this fill anyhow. This is just perfect. I love how it's as much about coffee, good and bad and contrasted with tea, as slavery. I love how it's Matt and Foggy trying to suss out Karen's motivations and her comfort level, because, as a slave, she isn't given much of a voice. And I love how she is given more of a voice in the fic as she realizes she has more of a voice in her life, that her current owners want her to have that. I also love how the first thing we directly hear from her is a repeat of the first line, directed at Foggy with less seriousness than Matt had directed toward her.

So, yes, I love this fic. Bravo! (Or Brava! Whichever's appropriate.)
