Rules:
  • General
    1. YKINMKATO. Play nice. If you don't like something, scroll on.

    2. All comments must be anon. If you would like to be politely banned to avoid anon-failing, leave a logged-in comment on the mod post or pm the mod account.

    3. IP Logging is currently on. Only the mod can see them, and the mod will only be paying attention to them when threads turn wanky and she wants to identify comments made by the same person.

    4. Subject lines should only be changed if you're posting a prompt or a fill (indicators like OP or Author!Anon should go in the body of the comment).

    5. RPF is allowed. Crossovers, characters from the extended Marvel Universe (excluding characters from Jessica Jones) and comics canon are allowed, but must relate to the 2015 TV show in some way.

    6. Prompts involving characters from Jessica Jones (including crossovers with Daredevil characters or the extended MCU) must go on the Jessica Jones Prompt Post.

    7. Prompts that are exclusively about the comics should go on the Comics Prompt Post.

    8. Discussion not related to the prompt should be moved to the discussion/off-topic post.

    9. Drop a comment on the mod post if you have any questions or problems.

  • Prompts
    1. All types of prompts are welcome.

    2. Use the subject line for the main idea of your prompt (pairing or characters, keywords, kink).

    3. Warnings are nice, but not mandatory. Get DW Blocker if there's anything you really don't want to see.

    4. Reposted prompts are allowed once one round has passed - i.e., prompts from post #2 cannot be reposted until post #4. Please include a link to where it has been previously posted.

  • Fills
    1. Put [FILL] or something similar in the subject line when posting a fill.

    2. Announce your fill on either the Completed Fills Post or the WIP Post.

    3. Long fills can either be posted over multiple comments, or posted on AO3 and linked back here.

    4. Multiple fills are always okay.

    5. Fills can be anything! Fic, art and vids are all welcome.

    6. If it wasn't written specifically for the prompt, it doesn't count as a fill. You are welcome to provide a link to already existing fic that does fit the prompt, in case the prompter hasn't seen it, but it doesn't count as a fill.

Daredevil is sold as a slave, Foggy buys him

Matt's caught as Daredevil, and the penalty is being sold as a slave. Foggy and Karen were both at risk of being condemned along with Matt, but he managed to prove that neither of them had a clue about Matt's night-time hobbies.

So, Foggy gets first right of refusal when it comes to buying Matt, and he exercises it.

Yes! All of this! What would foggy be like as an owner? Like, would he treat matt alright, or...?

Up to the filler.

If they want to go fluff then it's mostly an in-name-only thing, where they put on a show but Foggy treats Matt as much like an equal as he can, and maybe he can even get away with letting Matt keep going out as Daredevil now that he's identified and properly registered.

Or Foggy could be furious enough at Matt's deception that he decides to break him, turn him into a proper slave, and only then reward him with something closer to the friendship they used to have.

Hah, well, I mainly write happy slavery stuff, so my preference is obvious, but...XD I'm feeling that if Matt got sold into slavery as punishment for being a vigilante, they wouldn't want him doing the exact same stuff, just under another private person's (i.e., no official government organ) thrall. Keeping up the state monopoly of force is usually essential in any civilised society (and the avengers are...semi-official?) Soooo, even if Foggy wants to treat Matt as an equal, he d be worried even more sick if Matt still wants to go out, because he d be put down next time. Maybe Matt changes his costume, so you can't tell it s him without capturing him, but it would lead to insane tensions between the two. I would honestly be curious how Foggy and Matt, both as canon-like as possible (so, not as dark!variants) resolve this. I don't think Matt could function indefinitely without going Daredeviling, and I doubt Foggy would be able to see him suffer forever if he forbade him from going out regardless. And what would ic!foggy do if Matt went out against his orders?

Yeah, the key point in Matt being able to go out as Daredevil still would be if Foggy managed to swing the superhero equivalent of a PI license for him. And if slaves are a thing it could be a lot more common for people to use them as gladiators and/or bodyguards, which would probably end up being Matt's legal classification.

Huh, a super hero equivalent of a PI licence? So, Matt would basically be Foggy's 'bodyguard' while (technically) Foggy takes on cases like 'my daughter's been kidnapped, i think, *please* help!' Or sends Matt investigating for court cases? I think the main plot/problem then could be what happens if Matt still does stuff on the side, like, intervening in other villainous activities nobody actually hired them to look into/do something about it. I wonder what kind of rights slaveswould have in this universe, like, would Matt be marked, what kind of errands can Foggy send him on...?

Something like that. Not sure if Matt would still be allowed to act as a lawyer, or if he'd be disbarred as a result of his conviction.

I guess with the more impromptu vigilante acts it would depend on how well Foggy could argue that it was related to something they were involved with, or if he could swing some sort of retainer from the police for Matt to bring in criminals (think in terms of a bounty hunter almost).

And I'd imagine that as a convicted slave Matt would have to be marked somehow, the question is how...

I've got this image in my head of Matt trying to initiate sex with Foggy now that he belongs to him, and explaining that now he's a slave he wouldn't be a threat when Foggy finds someone worthy of him.
