Marvel Comics | Jessica Jones

This post is for prompts based on Daredevil and the surrounding MCU only. Any prompts involving characters or plot points from Netflix's Jessica Jones must go on the Jessica Jones Prompt Post. Prompts focusing on comic characters and storylines should go on the Marvel Comics Prompt Post.

General

All comments must be anon. If you would like to be politely banned to avoid anon-failing, leave a logged-in comment on the mod post or pm the mod account.

IP Logging is currently on. Only the mod can see them, and the mod will only be paying attention to them when threads turn wanky and she wants to identify comments made by the same person.

Subject lines should only be changed if you're posting a prompt or a fill (indicators like OP or Author!Anon should go in the body of the comment).

RPF is allowed. Crossovers, characters from the extended Marvel Universe (excluding characters from Jessica Jones) and comics canon are allowed, but must relate to the 2015 TV show in some way.

Prompts involving characters from Jessica Jones (including crossovers with Daredevil characters or the extended MCU) must go on the Jessica Jones Prompt Post.

Prompts that are exclusively about the comics should go on the Comics Prompt Post.

Discussion not related to the prompt should be moved to the discussion/off-topic post.

Drop a comment on the mod post if you have any questions or problems.

Alternate ending....

The little girl passing by tugged on her mother’s arm and whispered. “Why is that man in the business suit talking to himself?”

Her mother looked over at the blind man walking towards them on the street, his white cane tapping from side to side. He was wearing a suit but it was clearly old and several sizes too big. He looked like he hadn't showered in at least a week. She pulled her daughter further to the side and held her hand just a bit tighter. “Shh. I’ll explain later. You’re father is waiting for us we have to go.”

I dropped my phone on my FACE, Author Anon, because apparently my hand couldn't handle the alternative ending. I would like to erase it from my memory now, pls. It HURTS. And I am definitely NOT talking about my face.

How to break a heart in less than 500 words

Matt turned to face Foggy. “I thought it was real. Right up till I was standing right in front of it I thought it was real. You know why? Because I remember talking to you about Father Lantom. I remember you saying you wanted to meet him. If none of this is real. If he was never real, how do I know anything is real? Foggy? How do I know you’re not just another delusion?”

“Karen. I’ve got him.” Foggy dodged the kid and his mother on the street and run up behind his friend as he shoved the cell phone back in his pocket. How could he have been so stupid! He never should have taken his eyes off Matt that morning.

Claire was out of town which led to Matt nearly breaking Foggy’s window outside his fire escape at three in the morning with a bleeding head wound. Apparently Foggy’s life was such as it was that being woken up that early didn’t immediately lead to a frantic call to emergency services.

He’d brought Matt inside, helped him out of his Daredevil suit and cleaned him up. Thankfully Matt hadn’t thought his head needed stitches but he hadn’t thought it would be wise to go home and recover alone, thank goodness. At least Matt had a little sense in him. He was definitely concussed and confused though.

It had been evident over night while they sat together on Foggy’s couch. Matt’s words had seemed slightly slurred, he spoke about things that didn’t make sense. Things like, I never doubted you that time they accused you of cheating on that paper in law school.

What, Matt? I never got accused of cheating in law school.

And, I’m so glad you were with me when my father died. I don’t know what I would have done without you.

What, Matt? You were only ten when your dad died. I didn’t meet you until much later.

But. All things considered, at least he was coherent. He knew today’s date. He knew who the current president was. So some things were a little off. Foggy hoped he’d be feeling better in the morning.

He should have never taken his eyes off him. Foggy went to the bathroom for all of five minutes to brush his teeth and he came back out and poof. Matt was gone. He was gone, the Daredevil suit was left behind, thankfully! but Foggy’s closet looked like it had been hit by a whirlwind. What the hell?

He called Karen first, wanting to give her the heads up so that if Matt arrived at the office she would know to call him right away, and then he ran out onto the street after him.

It was always a safe bet where Matt would end up when his head was scrambled. Foggy ran right to the old church. Apparently he was only just behind Matt because he saw him walking away as he ran up.

“Hey. Buddy.” He jogged up and slowed to a walk beside him, repressing a bit of a chuckle to see him dressed in one of his older suits. Matt was a big guy, but Foggy was heftier and it was definitely an ill fit.

“You’re still here?” Matt turned slightly towards him. “I thought we were supposed to meet a client.”

Foggy caught his arm and brought Matt’s hand to his elbow so that he wouldn’t feel like he was dragging him along. “Always. Always, Matt. How about we go back to your place and have some breakfast. Clean up a bit better?”
