Instead of lawyering, Matt becomes an ultra famous, ultra amazing chef. He opens up shop in the old neighborhood. He still has all his super senses, now geared towards his unique palate. His food is an orgasmic sensory experience.

Is Fisk the owner of chain places trying to nudge out Hell's Kitchen natives? Is Stick some sort of sadistic chef that taught Matt a la Gordon Ramsey at his worse? Does Gordon Ramsey come to the restaurant?

+ Foggy is his sous chef. Karen ends up as his maître d'.
++ Matt's preferred method of seduction is via baked goods.
+++ They keep trying to get him on all these Food Network shows to do some sort of blindfold challenge. Matt is...unimpressed.
++++ Peter Parker as an apprentice. Tony Stark is a frequent customer. The Avengers keep popping up. What is Matt's life.
+++++ The restaurant is called Jack's

Foggy liked to call Matt's series of interactions with the Avengers "a partnership." Matt detested the description, if only because his partnerships were far and few, and his relationship with the Avengers certainly didn't fall under it. Partners required trust and honesty, both traits that Matt withheld from Steve Rogers and his little band. He could admit that they made useful allies -- he wasn't that stubborn. In another life maybe they would have been friends and Daredevil would take them up on that invitation to movie night, with audio descriptions and everything. Clint would pelt his head with popcorn while Bruce and Natasha pretended to ignore them. Maybe while holding hands. Tony would split his attention between the movie and whatever he had thought up now -- Matt liked to fantasize about brand new accessability devices tailored to him. Steve and Sam would probably be the only team members that paid attention to the screen.

It sounded nice, in his head. In another life.

Just not this one.

"I don't want a room at the Tower."

Tony made a noise like a wounded elephant and slumped over the table. It was almost worth coming to Stark's lab to observe his reaction whenever Daredevil deflated his newest idea.

"Come on! Everyone should have a room at the Tower! It's roomy! It's nice! There's a little kitchenette and a private bathroom!"

Matt bit the inside of his cheek and counted to five. Then he exhaled. "There's JARVIS too."

Tony straightened. He set both hands on the table, palms down. His heart rate ticked up a little. "You're protective of your privacy and I understand that. I'm willing to do you a solid and remove JARVIS from your suite."

Lie. Possibly. Or just nervousness. It was a big risk to take, which only made Matt suspicious.

"Sounds like a big hole in your security net. You do that, there's no telling who would climb through my window."

Tony rolled a shoulder. Heart rate going down again. Were they already over the biggest hurdle? "I thought of that. JARVIS can stay whenever you're not using the suite. He'll vacate whenever you're there. Microphones, sensors, everything off. You get to keep your identity and Steve stops losing sleep worrying about you wandering New York with a head injury."

Matt sincerely doubted that Captain America lost sleep worrying about him but he knew better than to say so. Instead he fought to keep the rising irritation in his chest in check. The chances were very good that Tony was simply trying to be nice and not building secret dossiers on vigilantes in New York City by listening in on their conversations and recording their features via invasive AI, uploaded to private servers fortified against government intrusion and oversight, ready to be sold to the highest bidder at a moment's notice.

It was possible that Frank Castle was rubbing off on him.

Matt realized that he had grabbed one of Tony's small, delicate tools off the tabletop and was fiddling with it. He put it down.

"It's generous. I'll think about it." Which they both knew meant: thanks, but no.

Tony was good about it. He just said, "It's on the sixty-seventh floor if you change your mind."

Matt let himself out through the windows. He didn't need a suite at the Avengers Tower, he reasoned. He had Frank's safehouse after all. It was certainly more secure than the Tower for God's sake. Matt didn't need to be woken in the night because one of Stark's robots losing its mind, again. Say what you would about Frank: he didn't keep unstable AI on a computer chip logged into one of the most powerful networks on the planet.

Even when the Russians dropped an entire warehouse on Daredevil's head, he stood by that. When Iron Man personally dug him out of the rubble, lifted him out with one arm and said, "Yeah, remember that room I promised you?" Matt still struggled weakly, and replied "I already have a place to go. Put me down."

"You're not getting far on that leg," Iron Man replied. Matt flicked his tongue into the air and tasted blood, metallic and tangy. Shit. He had hoped that was just a bruise.

"Let Cap and Natasha clean up here. Let's get you fixed up and somewhere safe, yeah?"

Bossy, Matt thought as Tony tucked him under one arm and took off into the sky. Tony Stark was awfully bossy.

Matt says that his grandmother said to watch out for the Murdock boys, they had the devil in them. Which is kind of a crazy thing to say, because she must have died before Jack, or Matt wouldn't have gone to an orphanage. And since Jack didn't have any canonical siblings, she was saying that not only about her boxer of a son but her adorable, non-violent, disabled grandson.

Which is weird. Anyone want to explain this in fic?

Assuming she's Matt's paternal grandmother, she was probably saying it about her husband. Also, it may have been affectionate (meaning that the Murdock boys are mischievous).

But I'm totally down for reading a story about Jack's relationship with his verbally abusive mother, and how he swore he would never treat his own kid like that, if that's what you're going for.

I didn't knew Waid suffers form depression too. That might be another reason why I connect to his writing so much.
Sorry, Peter Parker. I am too old for your puberty stuff. Depressed Matt Murdock and human desaster Clint Barton are the boys in my heart now.
I have read most the issues recommened above and "Born again" has helped me during a very dark time.

I don't mean to hijack this prompt, but the filler would get one of my ovaries if the fill features something like "I wish I had two mouths so I tell you dirty things while I kiss/lick/suck on you." form Foggy.

OP here- I'm surprised but excited by the support for a butch, hairy, looking-her-age brick-shithouse female Punisher instead of a typical pretty 63 design

I had talked myself out of doing an artfill earlier, because I didn't think a design like that would be well received. Now I have a reference folder full of female athletes and soldiers, and I'm sketching like a bat out of hell.

Karen staking out his apartment, watching for suspicious ... Things. She's not sure what. Maybe a secret, unstable former-marine boyfriend who threatens Matt with guns. Or something

Matt knows she's there, decides not to daredevil jic she spots him leaving or returning in costume, so he stays in listening to jazz records. Then Either Karen or an unrelated third party gets attacked, and he has to run out to help in whatever mask was closest and his cute striped pajamas.

Karen's just like 'I know it's you. Foggy told me about those ridiculous silk pajamas he got you for birthdaychristmaskwaanzaka. Also you're literally wearing a blindfold. How the fuck are you a lawyer you can't lie for shit,'

Oh my god yes. I remember a 'Karen and Frank bonding' prompt last post. Combining these two would be amazing.
I'm thinking that Karen would continue the pattern of being methodical(ish) during the act, and maybe freak the fuck out later, but over time the freaking out aspect goes away,

Maybe Frank would tell her that she shouldn't be like him. Maybe he'd tell her that sometimes you just gotta do it. Maybe he's fucked off to another prompt bc get out of here Frank this is Karen's show

This is one of the greatest prompts I've ever seen. I only have the knowledge and talent to do like a little thing where Matt and Foggy discuss their own unusual cultural fish dish (gefiltafish and lutefisk) but damn I hope this gets a shit ton of fills

How many points is it if Foggy sees the +1000 pt bonus and decides that that should be his punishment. He absolutely cannot move forward unless Matt beats him up.

YES. Yes, he would.

Matt is forced to take a break from his nocturnal activities (maybe he has to lie low for a while, maybe it's an injury that's not too serious, but makes fighting impossible).

At first, Foggy (and maybe Karen, depending on where she stands regarding the whole Daredevil thing) is glad Matt's not being nearly killed every other night.

But it turns out, Matt doesn't take his forced "off-time" too well. Without an outlet, sweet cinnamon bun Matthew Murdock turns into the meanest, most passive-aggressive, ready-to-fight-24/7 son of a bitch imaginable.

(Gen, Matt/Foggy and Matt/Foggy/Karen are all fine with me.)

I'm not Jewish, and my knowledge on the subject is limited, otherwise I would totally consider filling it because this is an amazing prompt.
I really hope someone else fills this!
