..how did they get there? lol fuckin idk maybe maybe idk

y'know that one time they were getting into a fairly ugly fight, probably @ some point when Matt was...using his access as Matt Murdock to beat people up as Daredevil, undoubtedly? I don't have the details, yet, kids, but he did it, and it was unethical in the way that Daredevil is generally unethical, but it was a new, pointed kind of unethical move that Matt pulled because he was desperate and tired and fuzzy-headed, right?

and maybe Foggy caught wind of it, and showed up at Matt's place late one night, ready to fight it out? But Matt himself was not willing to fight it out: he'd hit that wall of sleep-deprivation where the littlest thing sent tears prickling at the corners of his eyes, right? And Foggy laid down all the objections, hard and quick, like the lawyer he was, all while Matt stood there counting Foggy's heartbeats to keep himself focused, feeling abandoned and poorly-done-by?

"are you even paying attention?" Foggy said, and Matt, who hadn't been paying attention, honestly, just feeling like there was no space for him to move without hurting someone, said

"you don't trust me?" and it came out far smaller than he thought it would.

"Aw, jesus, Matt," Foggy said.

"That's not a no," Matt said. Had to sit down, for a minute.

"
Of course it's a - I trust you, Matt." But even Foggy sounded hesitant, like he was testing the truth of his words as they hit cold air.

"Yeah," Matt said, listening to the rhythm of Foggy's heart. "I should. Go."

"Yeah, that's a shitty idea," Foggy said. "I trust you with my life, why are we fighting about this?"

"Maybe you shouldn't." It was easy to get too close to Foggy, to push up into his space, sense the way Foggy shifted to accomodate Matt when half the people in Hell's Kitchen would've been fumbling to call 9-1-1 by now, because from this range, there was almost...nothing, really, that Foggy could do, to keep Matt from doing...anything that he wanted to. "I know everything about you, Foggy."

Instead of getting scared, though, Foggy got annoyed. (Yeah, sure, Matt caught that faint bitter smell of sweat, but it didn't - it wasn't - it wasn't quite afraid.)

"Duh," Foggy'd said. He swallowed, hard, thinking for a minute, and caught one of Matt's hands. Matt thought about jerking away, and thought about leaving, and thought about what a terrible idea it was, but - but Foggy guided Matt's hand to his own throat.

Matt...couldn't quite help tightening his fingers. Just a shade - a hair - the tiniest bit harder than a caress, exactly. Foggy swallowed again, and Matt felt the contraction of the muscles in his throat, and the bulge of his adam's apple, and the prickle of his stubble, and -

"Still sounds like a good idea to me," Foggy said, into Matt's open palm.

No but ugh seriously, my fave is the bit about foggy accommodating Matt when he gets into his space (guhhhhh it just sounds so WARM and nice omgosh) and also the ending, with Matt squeezing a little, and foggy being the one who puts his hand there? *__* Goddamn.

i love this so far :3 I can never get enough Dom!matt (and sub!foggy just does things for me, alright). I reaaaally hope there's more to come, authoranon. unf.

(further backstory? cartoonish ooc blah blah to follow, don't look @ me, shut up, d/s is just code for "people hold hands, but WITH A LOT OF FEELINGS" right? ACTUAL d/s in the last part, op, sorry!)

"I could hurt you like this," Matt said. He felt numb. That wasn't quite right: he felt, somehow, numb and tingly, all at once. That was Foggy's heart beating in his ears and under his thumb.

"Yup," Foggy agreed.

"Then why are you letting me?" Matt snarled. This had to be a setup: he didn't know what game Foggy was playing, and he didn't know how to find out, and he was going to lose something important, here.

"I mean yeah, you can hurt me. I give you permission. Dork."

Matt didn't say anything for a minute, while the white noise filled up the inside of his head. It hadn't - ever - been a possibility before, but now - he had to swallow a few times. His throat had gotten very tight. "Oh," he said, softly. The air had gone muggy, bitter and bright with sweat and arousal.

"If this is how I have to get it through your head that I trust you," Foggy said, and he'd started the sentence even, heartbreakingly brave. "You tell me what to do, Matt, it'll be good."

"Wait," Matt said, and swallowed, hard, again. "You don't want to - to fight about it? You hate it when I make decisions without you -"

"I hate it when you go behind my back and I've gotta cover for you and I don't know the story -" and Foggy broke off to run a hand through his hair. He'd switched shampoos, since he'd found out about Daredevil. "I trust you to make the plans, bud. I've been following you around for years." Matt heard him swallow - he felt it - before he finished with "call the shots, you got this. But. You stay this handsy, Matt, don't - be surprised if. Anything comes up."

It surprised Matt, how quick Foggy's skin heated up.

The pleasure he took in it - in being allowed this close to Foggy's body, feeling it react to him - that was a surprise, too: he wanted more of it. He wanted everything: it felt a little like when planes flew by, too close overhead, shaking him apart from the inside. He was trembling and didn't know when he'd started.

I could make Foggy get hard, he thought.

Unlike almost anything else in his life at the moment, it sounded easy; this was the body he'd known almost as well as his own, by now.

Stroking Foggy's throat - along the pulse, gentle and rhythmic - hadn't been a conscious decision, but once he'd started, there didn't seem to be a reason to stop. He could smell Foggy's soap, feel the blood rush under the thin skin of his neck. It almost felt like he hurried it along, with his fingers. It had definitely picked up the pace, since he'd laid hands on Foggy.

"Would that be a problem?" he asked. He felt - better. Steadier, now that he knew he could - this was just bodies, and if Foggy was going to listen to him, then -

"Yes! - no! - Matt, you are - you're giving off some mixed fucking signals." Foggy wasn't giving off mixed signals in any way: he went loose and gentle, and when Matt got closer he wrapped an arm around Matt's waist, steadying him.

"You trust me," Matt said.

"Yup," Foggy agreed, and the moment stayed calm and steady a little pool of heat made from the two of them, even when he threw in "even when you're acting like Darth Vader."

"It's not a problem for me." He took a breath: it was strange, to think about how angry and confused he'd been, a minute ago. "Can I look at you?"

"What? I - oh. Uh." Foggy shifted; it wasn't terribly obvious, even to Matt, even when he was paying attention, but he twisted his hips to the side. "Matt, if you want to touch my face - like a weirdo - "

"not very accommodating of you," Matt said. He was smiling; he felt it. He knew that very soon, he'd feel Foggy's smile, under his hands, and that was good. Made him feel warm, surprisingly relaxed.

" - shut up, Matt - I'm gonna get a boner if you put your hands all over me right now. Okay?"

"I think you have one already," Matt said.

"Damnit," Foggy said. He giggled, high and nervous; Matt couldn't stop smiling. "What gave it away, Lassie?"

"That, kind of." Matt ran his hand through Foggy's hair. It felt good. Coarse. Warm, next to the skull, and cool at the ends.

He cupped his jaw in both hands.

Foggy smiled, sudden and ridiculous, and Matt's hand slipped, just a little, and he felt the slick hard bone of one of Foggy's teeth. He didn't want to move - he never really wanted to move - but it seemed rude. Before he had a chance, though, Foggy turned his head a fraction of an inch and kissed Matt's fingers.

He'd never thought about the difference between a lascivious kiss or a chaste one, before, and he still wasn't sure: they were both hard. Matt could smell it, taste it: it kept seeping into the air. It couldn't be avoided. This, though, wasn't a sucking or biting kiss. It didn't feel like an invitation. Acknowledgement, maybe: the brave, serious kind of acknowledgement that made Matt feel like it would be easy to pull Foggy close, press their lips together.

Alright so I'm about to start the day on 2.5 hours sleep and I read this through a very bleary, tired pair of eyes, so I definitely can't do it justice via this comment rn but cccc: this is really fucking gorgeous. Your prose is lovely. Your Matt/foggy are lovely. And d/s can absolutely be code for that, oh boy. <3

I just want you to know that I still check back here a lot, even if it's just to have a little reread of what you've already written. I'm really hoping you haven't abandoned this fic, but if you have thank you for what you've posted so far because it's great

yea ditto as above, this is actually one of the tabs i keep open just so that i can check back and re-read it because im not really into D/s but these scenes dO THINGS TO ME and actually inspired me to try writing some of my own because it's just so casual and weirdly natural. I've tried reading D/s before but it always seems weirdly stilted? These scenes don't feel that way at all though! So this will be a fav even if you don't write more but fill!anon pls
