I would like to read a Mattfoggy version of the Spanish book "Where the Angels don't sleep" but with a happy ending. I just read it and it's the saddest story.
The protagonist is a blind lawyer called Matt Denver that gets accused of raping her young niece and goes to prison for 10 years (even thought he really didn't do it) where he suffers abuse from the other convicts and from the guards, who end on making him an heroin addict and a kind of prostitute. There he befriends a murder convict (who killed all the men of a gang, that previously had killed his wife and daughter) who actually is named Steve Rogers (lol).
When he finally gets out of prison, now an addict he becomes an actual prostitute for an agency, to finance his necessity. In his new work he meets a young man named Dick who falls in love with him, and who is the assistant district attorney, (the actual District attorney ends up being Matt's twin brother, who hates him) he does everything to try and help Matt whom at this point actually believes he raped his niece, because he thinks that with all the bad things that have been happening to him he really must have done something bad even if he doesn't remember it. Dick helps Matt meet with his mother who was the only one who always believed in him Tragedies keep happening, Matt falls in love with a young eighteen years old girl (who is also a prostitute) and she ends getting pregnant of him, but dies in childbirth. His brother, Dan finds him and takes the child saying he will give her back if Matt helps him get a murderer of male prostitutes, he agrees to help and while serving as bait the man attacks him but Dick saves him. After all of this his brother doesn't want to give her daughter back and Matt escapes. Dick and his mother don't know nothing about him for a long while, and her mother gets cancer for which he dies after she stops caring for herself prying or her son. Dick finally finds Matt and he tells him that his daughter is fine, Matt finally tells Dick that he loves him and they make love for the first time (well with both of them loving each other) but Matt flees again and ends up dying alone of a pneumonia for sleeping naked on the street on winter.
Sooo this story really caused a big impression on me, and with that terribly sad ending I just wanted something good to happen to him, because he was innocent :(
Anyway the main reason for which I want it to be a Mattfoggy AU with characters of the MCU is 'cause I couldn't stop thinking about Matt Murdock while reading this... For obvious reasons... I mean, come on, the guy was called Matt he was blind and he was a lawyer.
If someone can make this, it would be awesome. Thank you for reading :)

Christ, that's more depressing than Les Mis (but also really interesting). I don't know if I could do justice to this prompt, but I hope someone does

You really should, it's very good, but yes it's totally angsty. And it's even worse when you know it actually happened :( the author of the book heard the whole story from Dick.
I certainly hope someone decides to do it because I think it could suit Matt/Foggy really well And I really don't think I could do it justice either

Im ghlad i didnt read that book. I would0ve been really pissed with that ending.
