lemme see if i can handwave this:

matt and foggy know they're each others soulmates and they've been together FOREVER*, waiting for their ~whoever~ show up and complete them, right?

i know that typically we go with "matt is the designated self-loathing nerd in this show" but let's give Karen some angst! Karen sees how great they are together, and desperately wants them, and there's all this attraction BUT she keeps denying herself because she doesn't want two nice helpless lawyers like Matt and Foggy to get tangled up in her Mysterious Violent Past?

*or Matt lies about his soulmate names because he doesn't want FOGGY INVOLVED IN HIS VIOLENT STUFF, too? whichever!!

ooooh. you make a good argument, anon! especially since karen was maybe just starting to think she'd left her ~mysterious past~ behind her, but now suddenly everything is death and corruption and violence, and she's convinced (because survivor's guilt, etc.) that anything she touches will break and she can't possibly inflict the burden of her presence/love on these two wonderful lawyers. no, as their soulmate it's her duty to stay away from them for their own good.

and then after the revelation of her birth name, she and matt get to hear each other making essentially the same argument about their own worthlessness, and realize how dumb it sounds coming from someone else. cue happy endings all around! :D

As the author of multiple prompts about Matt's amazing ass, I wholeheartedly support this prompt.

I have such a weakness for angsty gunshot prompts! This definitely goes up on my list of prompts to possibly fill (you know, once they extend the duration of a day from 24 to 48 hours). Takes me back to one of the longer White Collar fics I wrote about a million years ago that pretty much covers this specific scenario. It was actually kind of a reimagining of the Rizzoli & Isles moment where Jane shot herself to catch a perp.

I was partly joking but I also think that Matt isn't stupid and he wouldn't reject medication out of hand. Something may dull his senses but if it means he doesn't have to have a panic attack or get so overwhelmed by stimuli that he can't function, then I can see him saying "fuck it, you two are carrying me because I can't deal."

Matt Murdock pushes his limits but he doesn't enjoy breaking them and he usually only does so when things are truly desperate. A quick haul through the airport and a nap on a plane is not a dire situation.

I want Frank and Elektra (with a strap on) fucking Matt senseless. Rough, dirty, sexy, smut.

After Fisk's cover is blown and the FBI's rounding up everyone who possibly be related to Fisk's crime, Melvin Potter gets arrested and charged with being an accesory. Nelson and Mudock defend him because Matt knows he was acting under duress.

He's got the Devil in him.

So there are run-of-the-mill religious groups protesting against the Devil of Hell's Kitchen, which is... y'know, annoying for Matt because any scrutiny is bad scrutiny as far as he's concerned, but otherwise it's harmless (if a bit hurtful because he hates it when people twist faith into something ugly).

But then Matt tries to recuse a woman one night, and surprise! it was a trap. There's a new zealot group in Hell's Kitchen and they think they're warriors of God, and that it's their duty to kill the Devil.

Basically what I'm asking for is Matt to be taken someplace really isolated and then spending the rest of the night injured and trying to get the hell away from these people. Him against a group of 20 armed people, no cell phone, no idea where he's at. Like a horror movie slow-motion chase scene, with lots of hiding.

I'm kinda disappointed that they're not official.
Yeah it's weird and reusable pads aren't my bag, but I would have really liked something like that when I was a kid

(Maybe Daredevil pads since he is red after al-pffft I'm sorry)
