omg, this was the BEST thing to wake up to! i like the not-exactly-vertigo feeling of things going metaphysically sideways. i'm assuming it's less of a world-merge and more just the alternates getting temporarily shoved into the mcu's physical universe. if so, does anybody NOT associated with matt feel anything wrong at all? and if claire felt the same vertigo, does that mean she has a few alternates running around too?

...oh fuck, are there alternate versions of STICK kicking around somewhere? or elektra?? FISK???

also on a more direct response note, i love karen's thoughts about commiserating with foggy's parents and making him give her a raise. and i would pay cash money to hear her trade life stories with dd!karen and black widow!karen. :D

I get you. I don't think he's a psychopath either, just a guy who chooses to be a douche.

But Matt's life sucks so bad, it would be just his luck for him to think this will be an opportunity to get some closure on his complicated feelings about Stick, only to discover that Stick was the douchiest kid ever and all he gets out of it is more frustration.

I really loved this!! It's got that perfect Daredevil mix of humor, angst, and violence. And the wonderful characters. =)

Very nice and extremely plausible. I liked the way they became friends over a longer period of time, not just overnight. I liked Matt's humour, and the way that Steve suddenly recognized him because of a certain motion. Well done!

It's basically only corporeal for Matt (moving him, leaving bruises) What about Matt's clothes? Would it need to remove his pants and position him for better accessibility? Or would it be able to penetrate him through clothing and furniture, and anything else is just bonus humiliation?

Yes, in the film it does tear off or move clothing and limbs to access the body, pulling the victim higher into the air to get the angle right (the victim was off her feet at one point actually hanging in mid-air while it was happening) and you can see the flesh indented where it's grasping or pressing against the victim. Mostly it seems very much like an invisible person, and it does actually open or slams doors to isolate the victim before an attack. Can't tell if it's doing it to psychologically harass the victim first, like letting them know it's about to happen but seems possible.

College era, Mattie is being sexually harassed and girl!Foggy sticks up for her. Mattie is surprised and explains to Foggy that there's no point in standing up for her, this is just something that happens and she's accepted it as a part of her life by now.

It turns out she has a history of being sexually harassed and then being blamed for it. The boys at the orphanage harassed her, and when she told the nuns about it, they told her it was her fault and she was tempting the boys to sin, that she needed to be more modest. She tried everything she could to make herself more modest, but it didn't stop, and it wasn't even just at St. Agnes that it happened. She got harassed by boys (and men) at school, on public transportation. It happened all the time for years, and eventually she came to the conclusion that it was just something inherently wrong with her (the devil inside her) that made people treat her like this.

I just really want some protective!Foggy who makes it her mission to convince Mattie that it's not her fault and she doesn't deserve to be harassed. Gen or Mattie/Foggy would be good.

I want to see a fic where Matt wants to ask Foggy to marry him and he has to plan it all out so that everything is perfect. Except all his plans go to shit and Matt ends up blurting out 'Will you marry me?'.

Cue Foggy having an internal freak out because of course he wants to say yes but he can't move and his thoughts are going a mile a minute. Matt on the other hand is freaking out because Foggy hasn't said anything in like 5 minutes but his heartbeat hasn't slowed down at all.

Oh, my God, I'm so glad you filled this, it's wonderful--I love the character voices, they're all perfectly spot-on, Steve's earnestness and Bucky's suspicion, and Matt--oh, your Matt is wonderful. Competent and cool-headed until it's all over, and then there's that heartbreaking little moment when Steve asks if he's safe.

Huh, interesting. Really creepy concept. I was picturing it almost as a sleep paralysis thing but balls to the wall supernatural is also my jam. Any mention of it ejaculating/ the victim feeling it ejaculate, but being unable to find evidence of such?

Okay but consider this: Foggy can't take the whole ordeal seriously and messes up spectacularly.

I'm not touching the usual 'Stick sexually abuses Matt to 'prepare' him for the horrors of war' but it would definitely fit well here

Matt, in despair that what he's doing as Daredevil isn't doing any good for the city and worried that he's making his friends' lives worse instead of better, thinks the world would be better off without him in it ... and is given the opportunity to see what the world would be like if he had never been born.

At first it seems like there's actually less crime, until he realizes it's because Fisk is still in power keeping petty crime under his thumb so he can get away with the big stuff.

Foggy is making good money at a defense firm, only he's miserable and lonely.

Karen is probably in jail or dead, Claire's life is at least more quiet but maybe Fisk has moved on to her building and is trying to get her evicted, Ben Urich is trying desperately to wage a one-man blogging war ...

Maybe Jack Murdock, without a kid, lived an extra ten years, but ended up dying of a boxing-related injury after too many years of taking hits and throwing fights.

And then some catharsis?

Gen or whatever ship is fine, and I would love if somehow Father Lantom was the "angel" showing him all of this.
