Aww, man, I'd started posting a little snippet of this, but my computer rebooted itself with a forced restart (at work) and I lost it. D: Unlike the other anon, I play on the side of crack, so it was playing out in my head like -

DD: No, I'm sorry, sorry, please, go on. This Matt guy?
Foggy: Yeah, he's my best friend, and he's just, one of those guys you can't get out of your head, you know?
DD: A bit, yeah. So what's so great about him?
Foggy: Well, he's gorgeous and wicked smart for starters, but it's the way we just click - our senses of humour, our strengths and weaknesses. I'd know him anywhere, you know?
DD: *SNORTS* Sorry, something flew in my nose. Anywhere?
Foggy: Definitely. I mean, you sleep in the same room as a guy for three years, and you're bound to pick up their tells, right?
DD: *amused* Right...
Foggy: And don't get me wrong, he's an emotionally constipated mess and a half -
DD: Wait, what??
Foggy: - And a total asshole sometimes, and if gossip is true, he went through half the girls in our year in college.
DD: I - I really doubt that, I mean, when would he have had time to study?
Foggy: I think he downloaded law knowledge into his brain. So he's a mess -
DD: *uncomfortable* Huh.
Foggy: But he's my mess, you know?

Yeah, I picked up on that too. It got to the point where I wondered whether one of the writers had a.... skewed relationship with alcohol.

Let's say the person is Asian, or Black. Like, no questions when you look at them you know they're Asian or Black. So then Matt says "oh I didn't know you were black/asian" and the person he's talking to doesn't realize he's blind and is like: ..... wtf? Stupid white person.

Okay, now I'm imagining Foggy thinking Daredevil's out to steal Matt from him because of the level of interest he's showing.

Yes, I know Domestic Violence is (as most violence tends to be) one of the most horrifying things in reality. But I just *really* like reading fic about it, I'm sorry.^^° (Especially if it turns out to just be pretend play...have I mentioned my *other* love is badasses pretending to be terrified victims?)

Anyway! So, I want a serial killer on the loose in Hell's kitchen, who targets and kills abusive partners. Problem is, whenever one of the victims he rescued from their partner sees his face, he kills them too, to protect his identity. (So, obviously not Frank Castle on a romantic crusade).

And he's *good* at getting away. So, obviously the only option? Matt has to pose as the abused part of a relationship to attract him.

Foggy declares this plan insane, and the only way he sees to keep an eye on Matt and get him to treat this as seriously and carefully as possible, is to pose as his abusive partner (can be slash or gen, can be established romantic relationship, or one can develop through their play-acting).
Foggy obviously hates filling this role - and Matt is scary good at his part. It helps that he's still out most nights and getting beat up, so at least they don't have to fake the bruises. Other nights, they're out together in bars, or restaurants, or dancing, just wherever this killer is suspected to choose his targets from. And Foggy kind of thinks this could be so much fun if they weren't stuck in their stupid roles - but then sometimes, before he flinches again and cringes at Foggy's touch, Matt flashes him the most secret, genuine grin that says he thinks so, too.

I LOVE this prompt, and I'd LOVED the fic the other anon recommended!

...ohman why do I have so many WiPs right now... I want to fill this so badly. T_T

I was listening to BTSK by MS MR when I got to these lines and they just hit me right in the heart with Matt/Foggy feelings:

I found you in pieces, you'd been torn apart
A million one reasons to end before you start
But deep down I knew
No matter what, in the end, it'd be me and you

What can I say, I'm weak, and I'm a total sap, and I'd really like something inspired by these lyrics, especially the last line.

In show, Foggy feels a degree of responsibility to what happened to Elena. He says so to Karen at Josie's, and Karen brings the fact up to Matt later.

What if he can't let that go? That even after Fisk is put away and everything is back to normal, Foggy is still convinced that his advice caused an old woman to be brutally murdered. And he's finding it hard to live with that.

Just, give me all the angst.

Yasss, it just needs to be changed up a bit. The guy running his hand down the cleft of Matt's ass, between his legs, and palming at Matt's dick through his pants. And then squeezing when Matt tries to get away.

so hft but can anon tell me the canon info about foggy's family? like does he have named siblings or parents

Matt isn’t really paying attention but that’s kind of what he does a lot so he is portraying himself quite accurately.

Foggy is on the laptop he found in the hotel room they determined to be Charlie’s.
--- Lucky it wasn't password-protected. :P

“Inappropriate fist bump, man.”
“Yeah, you’re right.”
--- *CHOKES ON COFFEE* Ahahaha, that's great. XD Good for you, Matt.

Nobody says anything for a minute and Matt feels like he missed a very large elephant in the room.

“Well, fuck.”
--- Ah, that answers that. xD

Not to him, she smells different and carries herself more confidently and it creates an off-key mental picture in Matt’s mind.

He’s about to make a blind comment when Matt kicks Foggy in the shins.

And then Foggy is dragging him up by the arms and crushing him with a hug.
"It worked?" Matt repeats, a bit dazed.
"What worked? What are you guys talking about?"
--- Hehehehe, poor Karen.

He holds out a fist for Foggy to fist bump, which he eagerly does, and Matt is sure if their life was a TV show this episode would definitely be ending on a freeze frame.

Foggy's not the violent one, right? He believes in justice and the law,using his words instead of his fists. He can hit a guy with a softball bat sure, but he'd never go do a Fisk on some guy's head.

So what would it take for him to snap?

Inspired by a frickin' amazing DC comic where Batman's butler and confidante Alfred beats the holy SHIT out of SUPERMAN (ok, Alfred's taken some sort of enhancement pill and Superman's kind of evil - it's complicated ok?) because Superman has done a Bane on Batman's spine. The whole thing is brutal, and entirely unexpected, especially when it comes from a character whose first recourse has never been violence. I just really want to see what it would take for FOGGY to actually HURT someone.

Bonus: while Alfred is wailing on Superman, he screams "No more! You hear me? You don't get to hurt my family any more." If you can get that line in, I'll love you forever.

op - Yaaasss. Also, if you could combine it with like... Foggy doesn't lead him anymore or describe things as much as he used to (when they're alone together, not around other people because: keeping up appearances) because Foggy continues to misinterpret Matt's shitty world-on-fire metaphor as Matt being a secret sighted person. And Matt feels like he doesn't have the right to ask for that back or to bring it up in conversation because he doesn't want to start that argument back up and remind Foggy that, oh yeah, I shouldn't have come back.
